general lilia kinks & headcanons
Tumblr media
lilia fuckers we rise because chapter 4 came out and i never wanted to clap a man’s cheeks so hard WE ARE SO BACK *edit* currently writing a malleus fic so look out for it!! warnings: smut/nsfw, overstimulation, biting/bleeding, spanking, oral (receiving), asshole lilia (we all cheered), reader is afab but no gender or pronouns are explicitly specified words: 700+
let’s get one thing straight, the main difference between lilia now and general lilia is that general lilia is an asshole who won’t hesitate to whoop your ass back into your place. unlike the kind and eccentric caregiver we know, this version couldn't be more of the opposite.
overstimulation ~ nothing gets lilia off more than when he sees your spent figure sprawled out in front of him, your face contorted as the sound of your pleas and whines echo in his ears all through the night. when he decides to overstimulate you, he's not kind, nor is the same while you're in bed with him. as befits a general of his stature, he will be nothing short of merciless in his treatment of you. using all types of tricks on you, lilia wants to explore how many ways he can make you cum with a single wave of his finger. as the tears cascade down your cheeks, you find yourself desperately begging him to stop even though his touch has yet even to grace your skin. crawling towards your legs, demanding you to wipe your pathetic expression on your faceーhe won’t stop until he’s satisfied enough to finally use his own body to further ruin you. and when he decides to do so, he’ll only want to prove that he can do all the same with the skills of his fingers and tongue.
biting ~ while not of the possessive nature, that doesn’t mean lilia won’t be flamboyant with his display as he sinks his fangs into you. big, bruised marks scattering your body on a constant basis, with one fading only to be replaced by another a moment after. flashy and dramatic can only describe how he bites youーletting his teeth sit in your skin as he watches the blood trickle down your curves. it’s painful, and if he’s feeling particularly lenient, he’ll lap up each drop that seeps out of you before carefully kissing each cut he left behind. don't fool yourself into thinking he'll be generous enough to lay those marks on places hidden from the public eye; rather, it’s the opposite, with your neck always being his favourite spot to snack on. not even having to deny that he was, in fact, the one who did it to you, with his reputation always surpassing you and being used to his advantage.
oral ~ even in the days of being a general, lilia was no stranger to experience. if there’s one thing he’s good at, it’ll be how he ties you to the bed, spreading you open with his fingers as he lays his deft tongue upon your aching folds. seconds pass, and you feel yourself already succumbing to the skills of his tongue, making a mess of his sheets that only spurs him on to have your body shaking even more. cold and cruel, lilia won’t let you touch him as he works his magic on youーyour ankles bound to each corner of the bed; he forces you to feel only his tongue as each orgasm blends into the next.
degrading ~ not only a tease but a cruel one at that. feeling the heat on your face and between your legs spread as he continues to demean you with his words. he takes far too much delight in abusing and calling you names, pushing you to embarrass and shame yourself for his own sick enjoyment. slapping and spanking your thighs, brutally digging his claws into your skinーeach hit is accompanied by a cascade of cutting words, etching themselves into your mind until the morning after. he’s arrogant and knows it, only continuing to display this cold front as he immediately sensed it turned you on just as much.
hate sex ~ on particularly rough days on the battlefield, he won’t take lightly not getting what he wantsーto satisfy himself after a long day of stress. if you happen to feel just as frustrated as him on that day, he won’t hesitate to shut you up and take what he wants from you. with your face buried into the pillows and your hands tied by the straps of his uniform, his ruthlessness only increases tenfold. gagging you so he doesn’t have to endure the abuse you reflect onto him; each thrust and slam of his hips filled with malice.
can't believe this short little fruit got me off of my writer's block i'll hopefully be writing some more shit now

"Nuh-uh, dad!" You looked at the book Lilia carried with him. He had read this book for you a thousand times and a pout formed on your lips, already thinking how you would have to bear this torture again.
There was nothing wrong with the stories, per say. But they get a little old and boring when you had heard them this many times. And Lilia was quite forgetful so asking him to buy other books wasn't always a successful endeavor. Though when you asked him to create a story he told you he wans't creative enough either. You aren't having any of that. You were tired of hearing about snow white, rapunzel, ugly duckling and all the classics. You wanted something new and today you would have it.
"Tell me another story, please!" You asked, making your best puppy eyes at him. Those eyes worked on Silver and Sebek, so you wanted to try on him as well. His reaction was different from the one you were expecting though, Lilia smiled and patted your head.
You loved having him read to you - it was your favorite activity to bond with your father, where you solved mysteries with him and laughed at silly pickup lines, but Lilia was still fond of the classics. There was though another book, called The General Tales. The author was unknown and the cover was painted a dark red, it was strange. And you hadn't the chance to read it because your father was very conscious about it, hiding when you so much as glanced in its direction.
You could only suppose it was a horror book. But you were already quite grown up. You were almost 13 years old! You could sit through any story he read without having nightmares! He didn't seem to agree.
"What am I going to do with you, little batty?" Lilia mused to himself when you showed the book. There was an excited glee in his eyes whenever he looked at it, as if it contained his favorite memories; little did you know what was written on those pages and how much blood they had seen. How much blood Lilia used to write those same pages.
He smiled finally. Dangerously, like he did when you pranked him and he was plotting his revenge.
You make space in your bed for him to sit beside you and he opened those secret pages you had always wondered about. They were yellowed by the time and some were dog eared, written in a beautiful yet hushed cursive. You were fascinated.
Lilia waited till you made yourself comfortable, laying your head against his chest and body nestled into his side, so he turned some pages, humming to himself. You could only think what kind of story would he read to you. You could only hope it was scary. It wans't night time yet and even if you got scared then surely at night, when he put you to bed, you would have already forgotten all the gorey details. Right...?
"There was a couple who lived happily at the woods," Lilia's deep voice started its tale and you closed your eyes to fully immerse yourself in your imaginnation as you listened to him. "but then a plague started to poison the soil and their crops were destroyed. The walk to the nearest village used to take a whole day to go and another to come back. The husband tried to hunt animals to feed his lover and their one year old child but he failed each and every time. Without other options he started traveling to this village."
"Wait, what about the plague?" You asked fulled with curiosity. Then you through to yourself why they didn't tried to make it go away somehow.
Either they tried and didn't worked. Or they didn't even thought about it. Nonetheless, you brushed it off as they don't having this knowledgment. But this bugged you for a second. Humans and faes knew about plagues and how to get rid of them, they been doing this since they were brought to existence.
Your question made Lilia smile cheerfully, you observed. He must be proud of you for asking this, as he had homeschooled you and used to brag about how smart you was to anyone who wanted to listen - he'd brag even if they didn't want to hear. "Ah, you see, they were bad people. The soil knew this and rejected them, my dear."
Well... Growing in Briar Valley you knew this was probable to happen. Fae were internally linked to their florests and woods, and rivers and oceans, and everything nature could touch. That was also why Lilia raised both you and your older brother, Silver, in the woods. He used to take both of you to fish, and swim and watch the dawn all the time. Though time changed and life got busier, maybe you ask him to take you fishing again someday. Or to go camping somewhere.
"Makes sense, what happened to them then?"
"The man bought everything he needed, every last golden coin spent. But he had food for months to come, he was already imagining what his wife would cook on the way back when an incident happened."
Lilia turned the page and you could see a little drawing of a man horse riding into the horizon. Then he started reading again after taking in your expressions.
"A stag came running at him, the horse didn't react at time and both animals collided. Wounded, the animal couldn't walk and neither could the man who had fallen and sprained his ankle. Snow was falling, surrounding him like a veil, all the food he brought with their remaining gains lost there. He thought to himself 'I'm going to die certainly', rejected he was once, rejected he was at that moment. Lost and in pain, feeling miserable, he tried to stand but failed. Every attempt more painful than the other. A river was falling from his eyes when he finally gave up."
Your heart ached at this. But you hoped for the better. Freezing and being left hungry during winter sounded like hell. Lilia pinched your cheek when he noticed you frowning. He laughed at the face you make at him, annoyed at your father's antics.
Lilia smiled. "Nope. Nope, instead he had heard a voice from the woods, a hooded figure was suddenly standing in front of him. He could only see the figure's blood red eyes."
"Oh no, did he die?"
You looked at your father. "Your eyes are red!"
Lilia nodded, his leg bouncing with how excited he was from reading this story. "Do you think the hooded figure was me?"
"Well, it was?" You replied with another ask. Your father didn't respond.
Instead he continued reading. "If I save you, what can you get me in return? The hooded figure asked, crouching to be on the man height. Their touch was tender as they wiped his tears and looked at him, but there was something in them that make him tremble more than snow could. There was something truly evil behind those eyes, something terrible behind that smile. The man didn't answer nor said anything for various minutes. Though for him, hours seemed to have passed. Maybe even years as he looked at those eyes."
"Nah, I didn't think it was you," You thought out loud. "Your eyes are very beautiful and gentle."
Returning your little compliment, Lilia squeezed you in a side hug while laughing. "Oh, thank you sugar. Your eyes are beautiful too."
"But they aren't red as yours." You pouted.
"You wanted them to be?" You nodded. Nor you or Silver have his red eyes. But you wish you had. His eyes were unique, were cute but also intimidating. So intimidating when he wanted them to be that you were imagining that the hooded figure had those same eyes.
You both stayed in that hug before you remind him to read again. There were fewer pages to go now. And again there was a drawing, this time you could see the man with that figure chatting while snow pilled beside them, as if the cold didn't bothered them. Then on another page he stood up and a carriage had appeared, he held the wet food in his arms, saving whatever it was possible to save. He would go back home to his family.
But at what price? It wans't written. The author had keeped too vague.
"When he arrived home, with a new horse and a carriage, which the hooded figure told him to sell for its quality was impressive and he would gain even more gold than he had spended, he was his child running at him, happy that their, uh, father had finally returned. The entire time though, the man could still feel the figure's eyes on him, could see those eyes in his mind. But he pushed those thoughts out of his mind, held his child and whirled around with them to they laughed. He watched them disappear back inside when they got too cold. And then he explained what had happened to his wife, she deserved to know."
He explained this incident with the stag, about the hooded figure and the deal he made with it. And very lowly he whispered how he wouldn't follow his part of the deal - and lying to a fae is something one must never do. Something he shouldn't have done. But he did. And that's the soil reject them even more.
Beneath the earth it was possible to feel the tremors or the wind that pushed everything out of its way. Lilia read how the man dealed with each and every tribulation, how he passed the trials and went his way around the deal, doind the bare minimum to ensure only his and his family safety. He only forgotten that the figure could see him.
"Then one night the hooded figure came to pay him a visit. It knocked on the door and it smiled when it saw the wife holding her child, looking at it with clear fear in her eyes. Like her husband, the wife was trembling in its presence. She let it enter, if anything because she couldn't send him away, she didn't know with what she was dealing, she couldn't act wrong and jeopardize her child safety. Instead she played the role of a welcoming hostess."
Lilia paused a second to breathe then he smiled as if he too was imagining what happened next. Pressed against him you were still. Were it going to kill everyone?
"Please, you may sit here. Do you want to eat something or perhaps are you thirsty? She asked. The air around them was tense. Though her child was poking the stranger without fear, filled with innocent curiosity. The figure picked the child and looked at their eyes. A carnivorous smiled streched on it's face. 'This will be not necessary' the figure said.'"
Another dramatic pause. It was so silent you could hear the birds flying from a considerate distance. It was so silent that you could focus on the blood flowing on your veins. You were anxious to know what happened next. And your father seemed to take fun on this, delaying his narrative to look at the drawing of the figure and the child. This one was colored and you noticed that the child looked just like you. Same hairstyle and same color eye, even same skin color.
You didn't know how to feel about it. You was thinking about what the figure would do to that child. Coming from a horror book you had only one guess. Lilia though didn't share your apprehension as he started narrating again.
"'Call your husband and let's eat. Together. No lies this time or this cutie will pay the price.' The figure warned her. But it know what was fated to happen. The couple were liars and no good persons. Of course they were going to lie. When everyone was seated to eat, the wife served first her guest then her husband then her child and finally herself; though the figure was still holding the child. The wife looked like she wanted to ask something but held her tongue."
Lilia licked his fingers and turned the page. Your heart breaked at the drawing. It seemed painful and explicit but you keeped yourself from looking away, you asked for him to read and you wanted to hear and see everything.
"'Open wide, little one.' The figure told the child, holding Its own spoon of soup to feed the baby. The mother seemed alarmed by it as if she had just done something stupid. And she did, poisoned the figure's spoon and plate, and food too. She held its hand and looked at it with pleading eyes. She fell to her knees, afraid for her child's life and security, stuttering and mumbling. 'please, don't.' she asked it. And a laughed escaped the hooded figure's lips, so sweet, so dangerous, he looked at the child who made grabby hands at the food. 'I said no lies yet you lied to me, tried to deceit me when I've been nothing if good for the both of you. And what did I asked in return? Say it, word by word, to her, mighty husband.' The wife looked at her husband."
"But it was so vague... Dad, what did it said?" At this your father patted your hair, twirling his fingers in your hair to distract you. He almost never replied to you in these moments, wanting you to draw your own conclusions. Still you wished he answered you on this matter. You were too curious and inquisitive.
"'I want you to restore the crops with this insecticide I'm giving you, I want you to make house for the birds and for you to clean the rivers when they thaw. And... And I want your first-born, f-for them to take your place, a-a life for a lif...' The husband answered, without finding his wife's eyes. Though he didn't looked at her, he knew how the color vanished from her face and how she was stunned into silence. He had never mentioned the part where the figure wanted their child, had he done that she would killed him herself. Her pregnancy was problematic and painful but she was so happy that her child was here now, she was delighted to her their little laugh and see them starting to walk and talk. And he stole all this from her."
You gripped your father's arm, you aren't expecting this betrayal. You expected the hooded figure to be the killer who would slaughter everyone and then dance upon their corpses. But there was something intimately sad knowing that someone so close as a father to his own child, could be a liar. You felt a bad taste on your tongue. Though part of you was excited to see where things were going now. Would be possible for this story to have a happily after all? Part of you didn't know but you hoped so.
"'You lied to me? About this?' The poor wife was inconsolable, struggling even to stand still as her whole face burned with ire. She knew nothing could be done. Maybe it was her own fear, maybe it was the figure's presence who seemed to feed into her negative feelings, the next second she threw herself on top of her husband punching and screaming at him. Her chair had fallen to the ground with her plate, food flying everywhere. The hooded figure sighed but tucked the child's face in his neck for them to not see this. The couple flighted like two angry kittens, disjointed, clumsy, without really knowing where to hit to hurt more. It was pitiful to watch. It hummed while the scene unfolded before its eyes. They fought and screamed but the figure still soothed the scared child who gripped its clothes hard. It prevent them from turning around, holding them tightly against it. 'Just a second, little one.' it told them."
A knife fell from the table when the husband managed to kick his wife off him. She hitted her back at the wooded table's leg but took the knife and looked at him with bloodthirsty eyes. She tried to stab him but he dodge and evaded every attack, he laughed at it. And she was feeling angry, so angry she'd die if she could kill him and then the entity who watched them in silence. "I hate you. You ruined everything. You couldn't even do a thing right!"
Her words were words of a frightened woman and, above all, a mom who knew she had lost her child. The precious child who bringed so much life and happiness into her life. You felt sad at this. They were both bad. The husband for making the deal and then not following it, and the wife for trying to poison the hooded figure without trying to ask what it wanted. You wonder if things would have ended differently if they didn't lie.
"The husband could only smile and roll his eyes at this. Nothing he could say was going to be enough, nothing he could say was going to comfort her or save them from their demise. The fight ended when he twisted her own arm and stabbed her with the knife, twisting. She fell on the ground painfully, blood painting the carpet. The last thing she saw was her child sleeping on that creature's arms."
You sniffled, trying to stifle your cry so not get attention of your father. But he was perceptive, always was. He could know what you were doing even if he wasn't in the same room you were. It was a dad instinct kinda of thing, you thought once.
Lilia patted your head, letting you feel what you were feeling without commenting on the small tears that rolled down your chest or tease you. He had told you and Silver multiple times to not be ashamed to cry or feel freely, to not repress your emotions. And you weren't ashamed by it. But you did thought you were overreacting a little. It was just a story after all!
"The now armed man swinged at the hooded figure, tears falling from his eyes the same way they have fallen weeks before. This time though he had an ever more serious reason to cry, he had killed his wife. He lost the one he loved it and it was all that hooded figure fault. Or so he said to himself, still lying. Fighting though was futile, his effort was futile, he was no match for the figure, so agile and fast, even if it was holding a sleepy baby on its arms, it still could fight with ease as if battle and fight were it's old friends. It killed the man easily, with a swing of it's hands and a little magic, the man joined his wife in the afterlife where she would want him down eternally."
You jumped a little when he closed the book, looking at him in disbelief. The tears had dried on your eyes but they were still a little red from crying. "That's how it ends?"
Lilia nodded then added. "Though there's still a line. It goes like: the entity looked at the child affectionately, it had what it wanted, it had the child. The hooded figure finally lowered the hood from its face, revealing its young and yet deceitful appearance. It was a he and he looked at the child gently. 'I'm going to call you Yuu. Fufufu, how does that sound, Yuu?'"
You whined in surprise. It was your name! You liked to think that your name was unique and no one else had it, just so you could feel a little special, but at that moment you didn't know how you felt. There were so many plot twists in that story, your mind seemed to run a marathon by how hard you were thinking about everything. Only thing you could muster was. "They were dumbing, lying to a fae."
Though you wonder... Why there was a drawing of a child so similar to you and that also has your name? You searched for you father's eyes and found him him staring at you. But he wasn't staring how he used to stare, it was mischievous, evil. Dangerous. You found out that you couldn't move, paralyzed in fear while his eyes searched for something inside your soul. Whatever it was he seemed happy, his gaze softening as the minutes passed, his headpats returning slowly.
"How does tea sounds, little one?" He asked. It sounded like death coming from him, Lilia managed to even burn the water. You mumbled something, too busy thinking about the story to care that you were about to be poisoned by Lilia's tea. There was many puzzle pieces missing for you to complete the entire frame.
Maybe someday, Lilia thought with a smug smile.

I like, just read your work, and I SUPER DUPER LOVE IT!!!!
(very slay)
So like, I'm so happy you're doing requests!
Could I do a request for a jealous Lilia Vanrouge? No problem if you don't do it fast, or even don't do it! No stress or pressure!
hahahah hiiiiiii!
idk why but i absolutely love ur vibes!! u seem so silly (very fitting for a lilia kisser)
i actually had a bit of trouble thinking about a plot for this, i don't see Lilia as the type to get seriously jealous (atleast not the current lilia, still in blissful ignorance abt book 7) so i made it a different, more silly type of jealous in the end

"Ahehehe, he's so pretty..." you smiled at your phone, sat on Lilia's bed at the moment. After coming to Twisted Wonderland and obtaining a phone, you realised that you have a whole new world to explore. A whole new world of otome games.
Recently, you've been obsessed with this one guy in one of the otome games you're playing. He's just perfect, and that's all that is to it.
On the other hand, your good friend Lilia has been feeling a strange sense of unsatisfaction whenever you talk about that fictional crush of yours.
He invited you over to his room with the intent to converse with you deep into the night but you're just rolling around on his bed and freaking out over a fictional character instead of gazing at him with interest as he talks about one of his travels.
Not that he blames you for getting so worked up over video games, no no. He himself finds a lot of enjoyement in playing them. They have an appeal, and he gets it. Though he hasn't experienced an otome game for himself yet.
But he still thinks that it is quite rude you are not talking to him right now. Not to mention the strange feeling that boils inside him when you giggle at your phone for the umpteenth time.
He'll have to gain your attention in the way he knows best.
He soundlessly climbs up on the bed behind you, making sure you didn't notice him before grabbing your shoulders from behind and playfully yelling "Boo!"
"Ack! Lilia!" You yelp, turning back to see Lilia laughing heartily at your reaction.
"Hahahaha, that was quite the reaction!" He seemed very pleased with himself.
"What was that for?" You furrowed your brows, pouting at him.
"Well, I invited you to my room so we can enjoy eachother's company, is all." A subtle invitation to start a conversation. His eyes travelled to your phone screen for a moment and he saw the fictional guy you're freaking out about.
Hm... he could probably do better. Atleast in his humble opinion.
"In a minute, in a minute... just gotta finish this chapter." You turned back to your phone with excitement shining in your eyes. Excitement that wasn't directed at him.
Oh, he sees how it is. He'll just have to win you back the hard way.
He casts a spell on your phone, making it float out of your hands. You tried to reach above you to catch it but it just kept floating higher and higher, just out of your reach.
"Lilia! Stop that!" You knew it was him doing it, mainly because he was laughing joyously, watching you jump around on the bed, trying to catch it.
"Oh, but I'm enjoying myself very much right now. Is it so wrong of me to have a bit of fun?" He smiled at you mischeviously. There was a glint of something you can't quite place shining behind his eyes.
"You seem oddly worked up." You comment, giving up on the phone for now and plopping back down on the bed.
"Whatever do you mean..?" Lilia acted innocent. While you were inspecting his face to find any suspicious expressions, he used magic to poof your phone away. There. Now there's no more distractions.
"Wait... my phone! What did you do to it?!" You realised it's gone a tad too late, head whipping around the room to try and find it.
"Kehehe, don't worry. I put it somewhere safe." Lilia assured you. Now you can focus all your attention on the one who's right in front of you, on him.
"O...kay? Why are you smirking evilly at me?" you were now especially suspicious of him.
He moved next to you on the bed, wrapping his right arm around you. He seemed awfully delighted when you looked at him in the eyes.
"Now, we can talk for hours. I have lots of things I want to find out about you." he punctuated the 'you' with a playful poke to your forehead.
"O...Oh, all right. What do you want to talk about?" you were still kind of processing the entire situation, but you were glad Lilia was in a talkative mood. Conversations with him are always enjoyable, even if you didn't get to finish that chapter you were really looking forward to.
"There, now I have you. I'll make it worth your time." he seemed very satisfied at the return of your interested gaze on him. Now he just has to make sure it stays on him for good.

Hi, I hope you're well and I'm sorry to randomly pop in but I finished reading this and I just have to let my sad brain that's obsessed with Lilia go off.
You had Vil and Rook help give Mc a makeover right? What if they found out Mc got stood up. Me personally (I'm biased), I feel like they'd become subtly more protective. Not intrusive, not controlling, but they'd keep a more watchful eye on Mc because they don't want to see them get hurt again.
Okay, okay, but then my brain needs an extra layer added in with angst, so Lilia notices this change in behavior from the Pomefiore beans. At first he's glad Mc has people looking out for them, glad they have a support system. But Rook figures out it was Lilia who stood Mc up and tells Vil. The two start trying to find reasons why Mc shouldn't be around Lilia without telling them that's what they're trying to do directly, just "Oh Lilia’s in there, hey let's go hang out in the courtyard instead!" Subtle diversions.
Lilia starts becoming more aware of their behavior. He tries to convince himself that it isn't a big deal and things were awkward there anyway, maybe distance was the best for him and Mc. However, Silver starts noticing Lilia is more focused on Mc, and starts voicing that he misses their company. Silver has a general understanding of what happened that rainy day, as his father let a bit of it off his chest "Oh, Don't worry, there was just an unfortunate misunderstanding that needed to be cleared up!" Silver isn't taking any shit, he confronts his dad. When Lilia explains that he's too old for romance, much less romance with a human, Silver scolds him about how he never raised him to be that way. Why did Lilia believe so differently than he tended to in this singular instance? What did race have to do with the situation? "If Mc is undeserving of a chance with you, why did you take me in and give me a chance to be in your life?"
Kinda went on a tangent...if none of that made sense I apologize, I'm very sleep-deprived and angsty rn lmao. Anyway, take care of yourself and have a good day 😊
I absolutely love this take!!! I'll give you a little more detail below, however, you outlined it very well.
Part 2 of Lilia X reader Rejection
Time had passed agonizingly slow at ramshackle dorm. Not only had you contracted a cold during your outside endeavors of rain and heartbreak from Lilias rejection, you also couldn't bring yourself to face any other students in the state of misery you were in. This, of course, had not gone unnoticed by a few. Ace and Deuce were naturally worried for you, however Rook and Vil were also left out of the loop with what happened that day raising their worries and causing them to come to you about it.
Coming by ramshackle and seeing you in such a state of misery was truly heartbreaking for the two. You opened the door with puffy eyes and a running nose, hunched over with a blanket covering the majority of your body. Immediately Vil sprung into action, pulling the blanket off of you and preparing a bath while Rook had made soup and medicine for you. Whilst chastising you for your sudden disappearance and sickly state, you had finally broken down and had given them the rundown of all that night's events. You needed support, and luckily the two were more than happy to give it to you. After learning it had been Lilia who stood you up and then humiliate you in front of the gates of the school, by the time you had indeed returned to the school, you noticed the way Vil and Rook would try and steer you away from any places that Lilia could be. They couldn't hide this very well, I mean, you knew all of Lilias's classes and the places he often visited in the school. Who wouldn't be able to notice the way your close friends had tried to distract you from this?
They noticed how standoffish you now were, how your look off in the distance was so distracted, so empty. They were, however, not the only ones to see this change in you. Lilia would steal glances from you from across the room and the halls, and simply thinking to himself you would soon forget your silly feelings and move forward with your smile per usual. He was grateful for Vil and Rook being by your side and figured this would be for the best. Being away from Lilia for the time being while you sorted out your emotions was going to be much better for you, and perhaps you'd be able to find yourself around Lilia like you used to. The time when you stayed up late with him playing video games, how you called him at the most random of times to tell him of your day, the way you would always be surrounded by so much fun. He was excited to get back to that, to the day you forgot your romantic feelings for the fae, and he could enjoy your company once more.
however...those days did not come as he had hoped.
It can be hard to imagine Lilia regretting something he believed so strongly on initially, however, he can't stop the stinging of pain that plagued his heart after seeing you in such disarray. The way you sat in the rain alone the way the rain blended in with your tears and the way your eyes were red...from him. He caused that pain. The bitterness he had felt from your confrontation hadn't gone unnoticed, those around him had begun to realize there was a shift ever so slightly around him. The air had become thicker and his smiles seemed to be far more forced, much like this instance with his son.
"Father," Silver approached the fae, "I haven't seen (y/n) around per usual. Has something happened between the two of you?" He inquired. Silver had rather missed your company, your cooking and the kindness you had shown him. He found you almost like another parental figure, Silver was incredibly fond of you and since the moment you had confided in your feelings for Lilia he was cheering you on from the sidelines in your advances to his father. When you had vanished without as much as a letter, Silver had become anxious and decided it be best to follow up with Lilia. The red eyed fae couldn't bring himself to meet the gaze of his child , avoiding it by staring at the computer screen had had been playing games on with a forced smile painted upon his lips.
"Don't worry, Silver. (Y/n) and I had a simple misunderstanding, and they are simply processing their emotions right now. Sometimes distance is the best cure for such fallouts," he said. The room became silent for a moment that felt like an eternity, before Silver took in a deep sigh and confronted his thoughts to Lilia.
"You rejected them?" He said quietly, Lilias head perking up in slight alarm at the sudden question. The turned on his chair to face the taller human, gaze far more serious than before.
"I see you knew about the prefects growing affections for me?" Lilia asked, attempting to keep his tone at a calm and collected manor. Silver flinched at the look his father was giving him, yet cringing ever so slightly at the idea of confronting his guardian in such a way. He nodded gently and fiddled with his fingers nervously.
"...why?" Silver asked, his gaze seemingly afraid to look into his fathers eyes. He knew he had kept this from him and indeed felt a little bit guilty, however what was he to do? He was certain Lilia returned the feelings, why the sudden change of behavior?
"They're a human, and I'm an aging fae. It simply was not meant to be," Lilia tried to quickly wave off his explanation to his son in hopes the subject would be dropped, yet the words he had used stung silvers heart. With his eyebrows furrowing and the increasingly frustrated feeling bursting in his chest, Silver began to question the fae far more sternly than before.
"What do you mean?" He asked, "So what if (y/n) is a human? They obviously are very important to you. Weren't you the one to tell me that fae and humans should live together in peace despite those differences?" Silver sounded almost desperate, hoping for some sort of explanation from the contrarian that sat before him. Lilia let out a deep sigh, he could tell that his patience for this conversation was running thin.
"Silver. This is...different. Perhaps you don't fully understand seeing as you're human as well, but we live...a very long time. I am a very old age, and I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to properly handle a romantic relationship, much less with a human who has time to find someone who will grow with them instead of focusing their time on a...dying fae," Lilia hesitated the final words, quickly attempting to dismiss this with a wave of his hand as he turned away from his son, however the silver-haired boy scowled with astonishment at this with a hint of sadness in his shaking voice.
"Yet you took me in as your own, father," Silver pointed out. Before Lilia could respond to his, he continued.
"I thought you raised me to see our races as equals. You gave me the chance to grow as your son, yet you won't give (y/n) the chance to grow as your lover? They care about you very much, that is plain to see as day. I think...those feelings are far more important than the way you see age. You can't throw aside how they feel because they should find another "human" to share their lives with, we both know that is not what (y/n) wants. I'm very sad you are talking like this, Father. I'm disappointed in you, I thought you were wiser than that." Leaving Lilia stunned and wide-eyed, Silver walked out of the room. Lilia let out a shaky sigh as he shook his head and scoffed at the ridiculous situation, his head burying into his hands. A moment of silence rang before his eyes closed and head lay upon his desk, muttering beneath his breath;
"I miss them..."

He wants to love you forever but….
"That unlike a demon whose life doesn´t end and apparence doesn´t change...humans only live for the moment.
And changes can happen just quickly and easily as short time passes.
Like now, the words you sy can change in a instant.
That´s just how human hearts are."

.。*♡ Wrote a lil something awhile back with this premise (link here) but as I'm catching up with the recent updates on diasomnia chapter, I thought "why not write this with them?", thus this idea was born. Though I haven't writed for the whole diasomnia before so lemme know if you think they're too ooc!
.。*♡ Here in Brazil when we met someone new or just as a form of greeting, it's customary to give them a hug and a kiss, or a polite handshake. And in general we are really affectionate with our friends. So I was thinking how some of the characters would react.
Malleus is touch-starved, plus he doesn't know much about the world and the customs of humans. So when you, a little human, constantly greet him with warm hugs and ask him to lean in a little so you can kiss his forehead and cheeks? Mal-Mal here is over the moon, wanting more of that affection he doesn't get so often, he wants to hear you making that high pitched voice while you hold his face and while you pat his head and stroke his horns. By seven, you certainly don't know what fear is. And little by little he returns your affection, laughing at your surprised expression when he kisses your forehead and smiles full of mockery.
Always so mischievous Lilia tends to use his powers to levitate you next to him every time you hug him as a form of greeting, at this point this is already a little tradition of yours. He loves receiving your kisses, pink adorning his cheeks every time, but he prefers to cup your face and pepper it with slow kisses, and sometimes sway and twirl with you from side to side as if you two were dancing. Lilia loves your small gestures of affection, even if they are just deep-rooted customs from your culture, they still mean a lot to him. I also feel like he would be the type of friend to create a secret handshake, something unique just for the two of you.
Sebek feels his cheeks flush, he tries to lecture you but only low murmurs and strangled screams leave his lips with every kiss you leave on his cheek and every hug offered. He's like a child who received the gift he's been waiting for his whole life and now he's so excited that he can't express himself, although he doesn't need to shout how he feels when his eyes express to you how much each of your gestures means to him. He will deny everything and try to act like he always does, but he is much softer on you after receiving your daily kisses and hugs.
Silver smiles, imitating your greetings as a sign of respect for you and your culture. Every kiss, handshake and hug exchanged leaves him warm inside, the other students are not as warm as you and he finds this change interesting. He likes to wonder if everyone in your country is as warm and welcoming as you, and he would love to hear you talk about where you come from. He would love to ask you to hug him while he takes a nap, but the idea is embarrassing enough for him to put into words, but maybe one day it will come true.

{Lilia Vanrouge x gn/MC}
“don't be afraid of the dark, my dear”
Tumblr media
Tags: darkness, hidden, gentle, bite, whispers, teasing
After taking supplementary history lessons with Trein you were walking down the corridor on your way home when you heard a sudden blast. A shudder made your body jolt and you involuntarily closed your eyes. When calm reigned again,  you opened your eyelids at a slow pace and darkness bathed your vision.
You remained silent as you tried to see something, but there was no light at all. Or that’s what you thought when a lightning stroke and the windows patterns reflected on the wall and contrasted a well-known figure.
MC: “Lilia?”
Lilia: “what a shame, I wanted to surprise you, my dear”.
Surprise he says, it would’ve been more correct to say he scared you to death for a moment.
Hand on your chest and an exhalation and he was already in front of you. You jumped a little inadvertently, gotta admit you should know he is like this, but it is hard to get used to his behavior.
Lilia: “scared already?”
MC: “should I be?”
Lilia: “we’re alone in a deserted corridor and you can’t see a thing, while I can see everything…”
Lilia’s voice sounded like he was behind you. His hands moved from your knees all the way to the middle of your thighs, so slowly you could feel the light grasp of his fingers all the way up. You kept your air in as he was mischievously trying to tease you. Your objective was to keep your cool just in case someone could hear you. But your stone wall broke when you felt his hands point towards your inner thighs. Although you wanted to close your legs as fast as you could, the tension was too strong and you were too weak to fight it, which made you shiver lightly as you tried to hold back your voice. Maybe this was too much for you, it was scary not to be able to see. To felt somehow belittle being incapable to see.
Lilia was fast to know something was going on with you. He has never seen you that nervous and it was never his intention to make you feel uncomfortable. He softly took your hand and left a gentle kiss on it.
Lilia: “worry not, my dear. Never, in all my years, have I ever made a woman cry, at least not in a way she wouldn’t want to”.
Your blood rose up to your cheeks, hard to stay still after such a statement. Lilia could clearly see your cheeks getting redder and redder which made him smile even more. His facial expression became sharper, though you would never know among all that darkness. Not until a pair of glowing eyes invade your vision field. You could tell Lilia was standing upside down by the shape of his stare.
Lilia: “hold your horses, dear”.
His vivid purple eyes got lost between a curtain of smoke, as if he evaporated right there.
The imminent sound of steps made you stand on guard. Did he say that to warn you? Wait a moment, who is approaching you?
You felt Lilia’s hands grab you by the waist and move your body one step back. Your whole back and dérrière were touching a hard surface. But that’s impossible, you thought, he’s not that tall, right? Who is behind you? You would start to panic if it wasn't for the sound of Lilia’s voice in your ear: “sshhh…” he whispered. He was in his true-form you supposed, that would explain how he can rest his chin on your head.
XXXX: “…is someone there?”
It crossed your mind to ignore it so you could evade an interaction, but it would be suspicious not to answer him you. And, since you couldn’t see him he could bump into you. To help your indecisive self, Lilia applied some pressure to your waist as an indication to answer him.
MC: “yes! I’m MC”.
XXXX: “oh, MC. It’s me, Silver. I was walking when the blackout happened. I thought I could take advantage of it and started sleepwalking, but I heard something in this direction and came to check if everything was in order”.
Just when you wanted to answer him, Lilia’s leg moved between your thighs as his hands grabbed you possessively by the waist, making sure you wouldn't escape. He was pressing your body down to his leg, making friction with your intimate part.
Silver: “MC? I suppose you don’t know the building as well as I do since you’re in first year, want me to use my magic to create a light?”
MC: “N- NO! No, it’s okay, it’s a corridor. I just have to keep walking straight and that’s it…”
Silver: “…I suppose that makes sense”.
Lilia started teasing your neck by leaving soft kisses. His cold lips repeatedly kissing the back of your neck sent shivers down your spine and nearly made you moan. If it wasn’t for his hand covering your mouth, you would have exposed yourself. But you couldn’t help yourself, there was not a single part of your body that wasn’t caressed by him. You tried to keep your composure when he stopped kissing you, but what a fool you were. His cold breath ascended from your neck all the way to your ear, the perfect height to whisper in an almost inaudible deep voice:
Lilia: “sshh… we don’t want my son to hear you”.
Involuntarily you closed your tighs, worsening the situation since now he could feel your pulsations in his leg, which made him increase the pressure against your lower part. This was enough to let a tear fall down to Lilia’s hand on your mouth. Not satisfied with just one, he began to move his leg back and forth. You could only grab his other hand in your waist as a way to silently protest. Sorry for you, he was too occupied running his tongue along your neck to pay attention to your weak escaping try.
Silver: “then, I’ll be taking my leave, see you around”.
Lilia moved his hand away from your mouth to let you answer Silver.
MC: “se- see you…”
Then, he covered your mouth again, prepared for the loud moan you would make once his fangs pierce through your skin.
It didn’t feel painful, just incredibly warm. After he made sure to remember the taste of your blood, in a fragment of a second the lights were back on and he returned back to his short form floating upside-down as he normally does.
Lila: “make sure to use this corridor again and don’t be scared of the dark, my dear”.
He said, leaving a soft kiss on your cheek. Then he disappeared in thin air leaving you like a mess, sat on the floor, tears of pleasure falling from your chin, redder than a ripen apple, shivers in your lower part and with a bite mark on you.
To check if your shirt was bloodstained you touched your neck just to find Lilia left a band-aid on it.

Red Tulle and Satin | Pt.1
Lilia Vanrouge x Reader
Warnings: TRUE YANDERE-- No fluff nor sugarcoating. Kidnapping, swearing, Lilia is VERY out of his mind with obsession, mental illness, reader is being tortured, Lilia is drunk
MILD CHAPTER 7 SPOILER!!
"Why do you cry?" He asked, voice echoing across the dark, wet chamber you were trapped in.
You didn't have to be able to see to know that his wicked words were accompanied by an equally devilish grin, proud of the inescapable tortures he has conjured from imagination and twisted into reality.
By God, you wanted out. You were done for, were you not? You would've given anything to turn back the clock, to see the signs-- change any decision that would have led to anything but this.
The lights came on, and cast a sharp florescent light against the cave-like basement.
And then there sat Lilia, in a chair, across the room.
Giggling. Snickering. Little light-hearted laughs, at each new attempt to struggle against the magical bonds he placed upon you.
He was losing his power, true. But he had enough left yet. And he'd willingly use it all up, to the very last drop, to keep you trapped with him.
"Lilia...Please! I'm begging.. I'll do anything you fucking want.. but let me out of these bonds. They hurt," You pleaded, oozing you 20th lie that goddamn hour, to appeal to his senses.
"Haah... that's not such a bad thing. You look so pretty..."
The chair creaked as he stood up.
A flash of movement, and he was kneeling next to you, knees to the floorboards and hands on your lap, like he was praying to a statue, a statue of reverence and worth.
He sniffed your hair, your neck, your back, exhaling each time like he'd seen the height of pleasure in that moment.
His hands shook as they came up to each side of your face.
He sweeped the damp strands of hair off your forehead with trembling, sweaty fingers.
"So, so... so p-rettyyyy." He cooed.
Sweat dripped off his forehead.
"Y-you're not right, Lilia-"
He stood up shakily with a whoosh of hot air.
"Oh-? Right..? I'm not right? Does that... scare you, honey?"
His hand came up above your face in an unsteady promise of what was to come if you didn't choose your words carefully.
You fliched, but chose not to speak.
"Oh~ l-ooook at that-! You're getting it now!" He lowered his hand and fell to his knees again.
Another coo to your ear, so close you could feel his quivering breath, sweetened with alcohol.
"I'll make sure you learn your place, dear."

Mayaaranyam ( part: 1)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
‘…Baul Zigvolt, Lilia Vanrouge, and Yuu of the Mayaaranyam were a triad; one none-not even the most seasoned politicians- foresaw bonding, but bond they did, and through doing so, they saved Briar Valley from the pain of war. They protected our tranquil Valley from facing the indignities of war with humankind, and while many notables figures of the time  were dissatisfied with the triad (with the lady Yuu being of mixed descent), the three of them, however, could not be separated due to the almost remarkably instantaneous bonding they had….
Excerpt from:
The History of the Briar Valley: Volume 212
Chapter: Love is the death of duty’
(Yuu still argues to this day that 'that book is a gross oversimplification of what I had to go through to snag these two idiots—Baul, don’t look at me like that; you know it’s true!’)
Her general was leading them  through the Mayaranyam when they first met.
Yuu was miffed to have been on guard duty that day, but hey, what can a girl do? 'Every elf must serve to protect our motherlands-blah blah’ as quoted by her mentor, and then the token  ‘you must drop some of those pounds’ from her dear aunt basically pressured her into putting on her armor that night as she fought of tears of anger, while yes, Yuu was strong and capable ( no one could deny her that); she didn’t look anything like most other nobel girls her age; they were willowy, ethereal and pure blooded elves.
While Yuu, oh,Yuu was mixed, she was tainted , or so her aunt liked to constantly say whenever Yuu had the misfortune of crossing paths with her.Yuu tried not to let it get to her, but some days it was hard not to. On days like today she has a mantra:
‘ I will never be the reason the shieldwall breaks; I train too hard for that.’
Her mantra  looped in her mind as she made her way towards her post and it only grew louder as she moved towards a suspicious rustling in the leaves a few hours into her shift.
‘ I will never be the reason the shieldwall breaks; I train too hard for that.’
His Elven Lady nearly killed half his party and himself the first time they met.
Although, to be fair to her, they did attempt to trespass (unintentionally), Lilia had no choice but to take a more hidden path toward the heart of the famed Mayaaranyam. Those pesky human troops were snooping too close to the main path, it seemed that even they, incompetent as they were, found out that the forest of illusions had certain paths that allowed those clever few into it’s heart. It seemed to him then, that the reports of humans trying to secure the Elven King's support were true  which only made him hurry his people faster into the woods and to the heart of the place to secure the alliance with the king first. Baul would be most disappointed if he were the reason Malenor removed him from serving as her future hand after all. Lilia himself would be most disappointed in himself if he were bested by the humans in this race.
In his hurry, Lilia forgot to take into account that the path he had chosen to take (while it was  indeed the shortest of the hidden routes) led straight to the back entrance of the heartland.
He managed to save his idiot general and the troops from the wrath of his darling Elven Lady in the nick of time that night.
Baul was reviewing the proposal made by Briar Valleys Senate to the Elven king of Mayaaranyam, the largest Elven kingdom that holds up to three quarters of all elves, or so he hears. This alliance could shift the odds of the Faes of Briar Valley winning against the allied human kingdoms. So lost was he in thoughts of victory and the political intrigue of his homeland that he almost missed the figure stalking up to them. Alarm bells rang in his mind when he saw her armor.
A Lady of the guard-an angry lady of the guard.
"Halt! My lady, We come in peace! We come from-”
By the end of that night one of the soldiers had unfortunately already lost a finger and another four were bruised and bleeding before they made it into the heartlands-Lady Yuu apologized of course, but only after scorching his pride with the kind words of advice she gave to him and his party.
(Baul argues to this day that Lilia should've known better, but Lilia simply says all's well that ends well).
So…what are your thoughts? ( all mistakes are mine)

.。*♡ A/N: A little something to celebrate Lilia's birthday. Enjoy! ⁽⁽ଘ( ˊᵕˋ )ଓ⁾⁾
.。*♡ Warnings: Yandere content, non-consensual kissing, fae powers???, it's implied that reader is a bit taller than him.
Tumblr media
"What do you say about a dance, beastie?" Lilia's voice is full of a teasing, excited tone. But you blame the liquor he's been drinking all afternoon for that and the rosy tint to his cheeks.
Normally you wouldn't agree to dance with him. Not because you didn't want to, but because you really shouldn't, even though you and he are good friends and you are celebrating his birthday today. Dancing with faes is dangerous, vicious as the saying goes. Something a human should never do or they would be at the mercy of the fae indefinitely, forever if the fae wants. You know all this. And yet...
Lilia, with his penetrating gaze and subtle smile, extends his hand, inviting you to the dance floor. His foot tapping patiently on the floor as the seconds pass and you don't make your decision.
"You know I can't." You mumble a little shyly, taking the drink from his hands to stop him from getting even more drunk, placing a hand on his forehead to see that he was hot.
But that only makes Lilia throw himself into your arms, smile growing on his lips as he leaves kisses on your neck, slowly moving up to your cheeks. You pushed him away, embarrassed, but Lilia seemed to see this coming and circled your torso with his arms, swaying from side to side merrily as if only existed you and he right here and right now.
"I won't insist, of course... But I'll be so sad if you don't want to dance that I'll cry. Waah." Lilia wipes fake tears from his eyes, the smell of alcohol coming so strong that it makes you pull away a little.
You rub circles on his back, your eyes searching the crowd for Silver to ask for help. But you don't even find Silver, Sebek or Malleus at the party, and the other students are spread out everywhere, some playing truth or dare, some dancing and some drinking. You look at Lilia, your sweet Lilia who can barely stand because he's so drunk, but who still manages to keep a hold on your waist as you two sways.
"Just one dance and then you go to bed." You answer him after thinking for a few seconds. "But I'll lead."
Lilia excitedly jumped in your arms, laughing. He held your hand enthusiastically, your fingers intertwining gently as he looked at you with his characteristic mischief. You brought your other hand to his waist, pulling him closer, fearing that he would fall at any second. So worried were you that you barely noticed his gaze.
Don't dance with fae, you remember the legends, dancing with them is like selling your will. You never get it back.
Part of you doesn't believe it. Another part is worried that you are making a mistake. But you're sure that if something goes wrong someone will interrupt this dance... Right?
You had no idea what you were doing. Even with you leading him across the dance floor, one foot in front of the other, a twist and a tilt, you still glide gracefully, in tune with the surrounding music, his small body pressed against yours. He looked happy, his eyes closing as a smile creeps across his face. You felt yourself smiling as well, a warm feeling running though your body.
Under the lights Lilia looked even smaller and cuter, almost prompting you to bite and kiss those squeezable cheeks of his. You held yourself back from doing it, focusing on being responsible for the night.
"Aw beastie, you never told me you could dance so well." He smiled, seeming to be amused by your worried look.
You laughed. "And I don't know, I have no idea what I'm doing. I'm just imitating what I saw in movies."
He let out a sound of approval, for someone who was almost falling over just a few seconds ago Lilia was dancing well, following your steps and humming along with the music. There was still a kind of slowness in his clumsy movements that was gradually replaced by mastery and a desire to impress you. Lilia was an excellent dancer, although he would deny it if anyone praised his in that regard.
The song came to an end faster than he wanted, making him whine as he looked at you with those pious eyes of his. He wanted another dance, wanted more of your body heat and your smile, he wanted more.
You didn't seem to know the effect you had on others, Lilia could see that a lot of your friends wanted to ask you for a dance. You didn't even seem to know that dances were convenient because all your focus was on your partner, your steps synchronized, your minds united, but there was more. When you dance with someone you have all their time and that was what Lilia had now, even if you didn't want to give it.
"Let's go again?" He asked you, smiling, another song already starting. But he didn't wait for an answer.
He held you tighter, forcing your body to keep moving before you could protest. This time however he laid your head in the crook of his neck, but what worried you was the fact that you couldn't speak, or move your body as you wanted. No, your body responded to his every touch and desire, following his steps, letting yourself be spun from one side of the dance hall to the other while everyone watched the two of you.
Or so it seemed. You weren't sure, it was like you were stuck in an episode of sleep paralysis, trying but never being able to move. Everything very slowly blurring together till you could only focus on him.
Lilia smiled. He wondered what kind of expression would be present on your face if he wasn't using his powers right now? What kinds of things would you be saying? He almost wanted to free you from his charms, but one look at your friends made him keep his grip.
At the end of this dance Lilia kissed you. It was simple and innocent, or it would have been if you were two lovers - which you weren't. No, you were in a strange stage between friendship and the beginning of a relationship, but you had never done or said anything, and you were still conscious enough to feel and see everything that happened. You could feel the thousands of little kisses he left on your lips before entering your mouth with his tongue, you could feel his hands going towards your head and tangling his fingers in your hair.
You felt everything until darkness took over your consciousness. And somewhere, you hoped it was all just a bad dream. You trusted that Lilia would ask for your consent and not force you into anything, that one in front of you was not your Lilia. He couldn't be...
But unfortunately for you he was.
You should listen to the sayings more and stay away from the dangerous faes. They just take and take and are never satisfied. Now you know this.

Little Midnight Rendezvous Lilia x MC
This fic is dedicated to @la-lolita ! Happy birthday hun!! I decided to make a cute banner for you and write a forbidden love AU fic for Lilia since you’d literally lick his ashes-
You’ve always been so supportive of my writing, this was the least I could do for you! You’re one of my closest friends on Tumblr and I hope you have an amazing day! I hope you enjoy bestie!! 💖💖
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“We shouldn’t do this!” You whisper against the cold night as the short fae whisks you into the dark night. Hand in hand, your assailant ran in front of you, taking you alongside him further and further away from your home. Although, you couldn’t be far from home when he’s near. The icy air was gliding down your skin, making you chilled to the bone.
Lilia looks back, staring deeply within you, “Oh? Have you not wanted this?” You didn’t reply, how could you reply when he was absolutely right? You bit your bottom lip, as though that would silence your breath and keep you both hidden.
Even when looking at you, he still moves gracefully and quickly. Compared to the elegance that was your fae, you must look spent. Every night, Lilia appears at your window and steals you away. Once the shimmering lights of daybreak appear, he returns you to your room, like the gentleman he is. Parted at dawn, but rejoined at dusk.
You didn’t have a choice, but to have your little midnight rendezvouses. You weren’t allowed to meet under the blurring sun with others’ glaring eyes. It wasn’t allowed, you see. More than not socially exceptional. Lilia was a fae, a well known fae. One loyally dedicated to the royal family. Simply put, he was a man of high power.
High power comes with high affluency. High affluence brings more respect. A fae as respected as Lilia must be seen in a good light by the public. A romance between a fae and a human was deeply frowned upon. You’ve heard stories of lovers being exiled from Briar Valley with nowhere to go. It truly terrifies you of how ruthless Lilia’s country could be, considering how sweet the fae himself was to you.
Yet, every time Lilia shows up at nightfall, you couldn’t resist his charm. This is a dangerous and wild flame of love. It consumes you both and threatens the very life you live. This path you both continue to walk is treacherous at each turn with only one person you could rely on. Each other until the very end. Each morning you repeat, “Don’t come back tonight. I don’t want to hurt you.”
You lied. Each morning you told your white lie in a pathetic attempt to prevent harm to Lilia. He didn’t buy it and neither did you if you had to be honest. You wanted him to come each night and the way you avoided meeting eyes when you said your line exposed you. “I shall stop coming when you truly mean that statement.” Lilia replies as he slinks back to his quarters with the revealing light of day. This was a cycle. “Stop coming here! You know what happens if you get caught…” “You still wish to lie straight to me?” “...” Over and over, this conversation occurred.
You both stop running once you came onto a vast flower patch. You’ve been all over since you started seeing Lilia, but nothing beats the beauty of the luminescent beams of the moon shining onto the radiant flowers. These flowers were special. They reflect light which enhances the already alluring petals.
Keeping your hand in his, Lilia pulls you towards him. You crash onto him, nuzzling your face in the corner of his neck. ‘Don’t come back tonight. What a lie.’ Really, it was foolish of you to say. How could you say that after spending all your nights in his warm embrace. Spending all your nights with his lips on yours. Spending all your nights under the moonlight with the love of your soul. What a lie.
“You’re cold.” Lilia states as he wraps his arms around you, like a blanket. You hug your fae, getting all the heat you could from him, “Yeah, it’s kinda cold tonight. It’s getting colder each night. I should have brought a jacket.” Lilia chuckles, deep and mellow, “There is no need for that. You have me after all.” With a snap of his fingers, you felt your skin lose its goosebumps and you felt cozy.
You whisper, tracing invisible patterns with your index finger on his back, “Thank you, my fae.” You felt a hand on the back of your thighs as you got picked up. You were used to Lilia’s antics, so you knew not to be worried. Lilia sat down and placed you onto his lap with your hand on his shoulders.
You couldn’t help, but admire his gorgeous face. You were so entranced by him that you didn’t notice your secret lover was doing the same. It was times like this where your lie was revealed the most. You both didn’t care who saw your display of love. You didn’t love anyone the same way you felt addicted to him. You just loved each other, your fae and Lilia’s human.
Was this forbidden love really so wrong?
