CASS! YOUR BRAIN! IT'S SO... HUGE!!!!Okay, okay. So, to recap what you have confirmed to us-

The robot that we see is NOT controlled by Donnie's spirit. We see that Donnie is able to control it via headset, etc.

Also, the reason this "Plan B" did NOT work is because Casey got possessed by Don's Hamato spirit in a memory from the future on accident.

It was going to work. He was literally mid-crawl before Casey swooped in and tried to help him but ended up somehow bringing his spirit into the past and cloning him a new body with plot serum.

We don't know if this robot would have worked. We don't know if Donnie even had enough equipment to make a robot body like the one he made for Raph. Maybe it would have failed. Maybe everything would've been okay. I just don't know.

But that's the beauty of this series. You planned this since you first decided how Donnie was going to die. Yes, you've said that you're kind of as clueless as we are at times when it comes to "what's next." But the amount of detail you put into this is ASTOUNDING!

Even with your VERY FIRST COMIC, you used Don's failed experiment with Leo and turned it into another chapter where we found out that Donnie was trying to find a cure for Mikey's peepawed body!!!

The fact that Donnie not only didn't say anything before he died because you knew that it "wasn't the end for him," but he also had a plan B that he didn't tell anybody about hence the guilty faces, the reasurrences, and ignoring Leo's "we don't need to worry" talks. And he couldn't simply tell them that "everything was gonna be okay" because his plan possibly wouldn't even work!!!

AND THAT'S WHY HE HAD A BREAKDOWN WHEN HE LOOKED BACK AT ALL THE RECORDINGS OF THE RESISTANCE FAILING BECAUSE NOT ONLY IS HE WATCHING EVERYONE HE TRIED TO PROTECT WITH EVERYTHING HE HAD DIE BEFORE HIS EYES, BUT HE ALSO REALIZED THAT HE FAILED THEM AND LEFT THEM WITH NOTHING!!! HE FEELS SO USELESS AND GUILTY FOR SOMETHING HE HAD NO CONTROL OVER!!!!

Even since we first met Raph, we got Don's theory about how storing spirits into mechs worked. He probably used the rest of their most valuable resources to even BUILD that thing.

I don't know if when they all realize that Casey is actually the reason Mikey couldn't sense any of their spirits because he snatched them up and brought them to the past/different timeline that they're either gonna feel angry or like "Oh!....oh." You know?

It seems to me that they still don't know the answer to that question. With all of them back, I thought they would have by now, but I guess we'll see pretty soon.

A lot of things could happen in this chapter. Good things, bad things, it's quite a toss-up. Let's just hope this whole big misunderstanding comes to a big finish soon. Donnie deserves a comeback. Everyone deserves to have a breather where they can all just...talk. Cause' by GOD there is a lot to talk about. I know they had some downtime before Miwa showed up, but Donnie's still working. If Donnie doesn't finally open up to his family by the end of this, I'm bringing out the beach balls, I swear.

Combining the boys’ abilities (and I mean actual combining not just using them at the same time) because I was thinking about it and wow they’re kinda cracked actually-

Raph & Mikey: infinite clones (aka unbeatable) + strength completely unparalleled + infinite cloned chains + the clones are very fast and can fly + potentially reverse any damage on main shield clones or even damage in general

Mikey & Donnie: constructs that also can last much longer than usual possibly forever + potential future vision + every single cable or wire or anything of that sort has the potential to be taken over akin to Mikey’s chains + full telekinesis

Donnie & Leo: pinpoint portal/teleportation themselves or constructs just by knowing where to aim (aka instadeath for any enemy if used right) + telepathy

Leo & Raph: teleporting clones who can grow or shrink at will (which can also be instadeath like above if used right) + said clones can also act as homing spots to switch places with + potentially swap damage taken to clones

Raph & Donnie: they literally can make Voltron, but more than one + basically impossible to destroy shields + constructs can also be cloned

Mikey & Leo: freezing time and being able to move during it + heat death of the universe + ���oops hey it’s other alternate iterations of us???” + this is a time and space team up you’re not winning this-

Basically any combo is an instant “you win.” I wanna go further into these combos later and maybe even add or subtract as I think more on it because there’s so many I left out and I can always extrapolate on and explain these ones more, but this was fun and these boys have terrifying powers even without combining them all together.

Seriously, should each of them train these abilities to the best they can be, there is no beating them even if they’re alone.

💚- The idea of the name "Dallas" was Duck's idea. Mostly bc he couldn't choose between Danielle (If it was a boi) and Lara (If it was a girl). So he fused both in one.

Such a creative boi.

🖤- The first one Donnie told about Dallas existing wasn't Duck, his crew or even Douglas. It was Dilly! Yep. Donald tells everything to his duck even tho she probably doesn't understand him.

In any case this probably was bc he was a little bit nervous about telling Duck and his crew. But this wasn't a trouble, because Douglas heard his philosophic conversation with Dilly, and he just ran to tell Duck everything. (Douglas spent a whole week mad at Donald bc he didn't told him directly about that LMAO)

💚-The thing about Dallas being born at the sunrise was pretty oportune because Duck didn't wait much long (around half an hour) to show everyone his pup.

(And there you have Toad begging Duck to let him sleep bc it looks like he hadn't enough with Oliver talking about Annie and their upcoming pup all the night-)

Hi I'm back for more Donatelloposting. I do have favs. I'm not sorry.

More funny shenanigans I would love to share about our favourite mad scientist that I forgot in the last post.

87 Donatello roleplayed as a detective so hard once he just shrugged off having a whole building dropped on top of him to roleplay more. He's literally so funny.

He also loves beefing with Leonardo. In one specific episode there's a point where he sees a robot copy of Leonardo, has no idea if that's the real one or a robot, and without hesitation slaps it twice. Which implies he would absolutely start a fight with Leonardo for laughs.

Oh also, he created a clone of himself so he could work on his projects while the clone fixes things around the lair. The clone turned out to be evil and easily overpowered everyone. That episode is so funny because it's so close after the episode he accidentally convinced Raphael he had 24 hours left.

I feel so cheated that we never got a crossover with 1987 TMNT because I feel like the Rise writers would have actually treated the series with a little more respect than the 2012 crossover episodes, and Turtles Forever. Rise Donnie and 87 Donatello would have been such good friends. Or they would have the pettiest rivalries because they would have clashing egos. It's the same situation as 87 Raphael and Rise Leo either being besties or heated rivals. I LOVE it. I need it.

-Donatello could’ve been partially if not entirely responsible for creating him and you know he would (+ it would be funny)

-Draxum could’ve been partially if not entirely responsible for creating him and you know he would (+ it would be REALLY funny)

-The idea of Casey Jr. not only having his mom’s name but also being a Literal Clone of her is both fitting for who he is and, once again, would be really funny

-Leo: Donnie you can’t just invent a baby that’s reckless

Leo several years later: Oh I guess I’m a dad now

-If he was made in a lab he can have Alterations, not only leading to scenes like this but also as a means of giving him extra fun features/strength

-He also so he could have the DNA of whoever you want

-Said extra DNA doesn’t even have to come from whoever you consider his father because family is more than just your DNA strands

-Donnie would put his DNA in a silly goofy lab baby

-Raph/Leo can be Casey Jr.’s actual “I raised him, took care of him, taught him everything he knew” dad proper while Donnie’s still Uncle Tello, even though Donnie’s technically the bio dad

-Or even Donnie could be his dad. Kid wears so much Genius Tech and it would be totally in character for Donnie to deck his kid out in his own trademarked technology. Do you see the vision @feralshadowdemon has blessed me with there’s so much potential-

-Casey Jr. can casually drop that he’s a lab baby to the present day turtles and they can freak out about it

Your donnie clones idea also opens up the opportunity to have an "evil donnie" who would be the part of him that wants to go "semi-lethal", I imagine he'd be one of the scientist donnies

Oh! Okay - I'm glad you mentioned this, actually. Gives me the chance to explain things a little better, so thank you Anon <3

So, here's the thing - I was originally planning to have a Mad-Scientist Donnie, who would be basically what you just described. But then I realized that it was a bit too broad a spectrum for just one trait?

Each of the clones is only supposed to have a fragment of Donnie's personality, which means they can possess good and bad QUALITIES but they can't really be good or bad people on their own. They don't have the capacity, if that makes sense; they're just one piece of a whole Donnie. When I think of an "Evil Donnie," I think of a version of him that fully embraces that mad scientist persona - the Hyde to his Jekyll, basically. That requires multiple traits, though, not just one. It would be more like an alter ego than it would a singular piece of his personality.

So ultimately, I felt it would make more sense to just break that "mad scientist" side of him down into individual pieces, like: A Mischievous/Chaotic Donnie, who is basically the part of him that enjoys causing trouble and is the reason for all those violent tendencies. (He's probably the one that's biting Leo in that group shot, lol). There's also Reckless Donnie, who literally does not care what consequences his actions bring upon himself or others. He'll do things like cause explosions for the heck of it and then walk away, leaving someone else to clean up the mess. Thankfully, Mature Donnie, Eager-to-Please Donnie, and Neat Freak Donnie are up to the task, haha

If you put those (and probably some other) traits together, you would definitely have yourself a mad scientist. But on their own, they're basically just the Problem Children™ of Donnie's subconscious, LOL.

That's how I see it working, anyway. I hope all of this makes sense - feel free to message me again if you'd like more clarification. And again, these are just my personal thoughts - you're free to take the concept in whatever way you please.

i was mostly using the term clone as a like placeholder while i figured out like specifically how she was created. she's less of a clone and just well i guess she really is just his kid, she just also happens to share 100% of his dna, but while they have identical genotypes, their phenotypes are different, hence Nettie having different markings than donnie does

that being said 100% donnie does have a dad sense, like oh no things are too quiet what the fuck are nettie and shelldon getting up to, which im sure leo, raph, and mikey have to an extent since they're her uncles and they also live together

like donnie is her dad, but since they all live together in the lair they've all participated in raising her at least a bit and so they all have some sort of sense for when nettie is getting up to mischieve

ohohoh....hamato ninpo... fuckk . chews on an ikea establishment IM SO GLAD YOU ASKED!!

for starters, i suppose, i LOVE writing it as not just "thing that gives them powers" but "thing that is also Them and they just have powers" if that makes any sense? bc the hamato ninpo, in essence, is connection to their family. it IS their love and care for each other, and that Connection is intrinsically tied to it — its how they got their ninpo, and its how they broke their ninpos free in the movie. they were connected, and they were there together, facing off their greatest enemy yet.

and, as such, i build off of this Connection and Them-ness to sort of make it an empathy link? because their ninpos are THEM. its their soul, which grants them their inherent powers, guided by their Connection with each other. their own ninpo is Themselves. as such, when there is that Connection, it carries with them emotions. its just a natural result of how it works; they feel, and they are connected, so they feel each other.

their ninpos are also not just their soul, but also sort of an aura? its the most noticeable with mikey, especially in the future timeline where hes the most powerful, but they have the ability to affect the real world around them beyond just using their powers—easiest seen in the way that spaces they linger in have a sort of lingering Scent that they were there. again, their ninpos are Themselves, and as such where they go, their ninpo goes. meaning that emotions will linger too with the traces of their ninpo—but not in the exact sense like their true ninpo, but rather a general presence of their most common emotion.

for example:

mikey loves his family. he is Very powerful, to degrees he isnt quite aware of. as such, the whole lair has a passive feeling of love, because when hes home, mikey, happy or sad, loves his family. and he feels safe when hes home, because he knows theyll protect him, and he knows that He will protect them

donnie also loves his family. donnie typical loving his family So Much. meaning, when hes in his lab, oftentimes hes working on something to protect them (especially after the shredder and then kraany fiascos). as such, when in his lab, his siblings can expect to feel that passive feeling of protection and love

much like mikey and donnie, raph loves his family, and he wants to keep them safe. as such the training room room carries that feeling of protection and love and saftey. are you sensing a theme here yet?

and leo... hehe... well, in tqiv&taip, he hasnt been all that present, so its not particularly relevant... but id imagine that, if one were to crawl into his bed and really focus, there would be a lot of anxiety, stress, and Upset :)

following the theme, i imagine post invasion the lair was just Filled with upset. its like being an empathetic crier but Worse

all that to say, it is VERY tied to their emotions. that was why leos speech WORKRD to burn off the kraang infection

jumping off of that in a very smooth segue yep, THEIR WEAPONS!! ohh their weapons...

theres always that saying that your weapon is an extension of yourself, and in this case it is Extremely literal.

the weapons arent their own beings, of course, but theyre sort of like a clone of their souls in a way. its still them just separate—their subconscious made tangible. (mystic weapons make a sort of bond similarly to how the turtles feel, but it is nowhere near as intimate compared to the fucking hamato ninpo).

and!! since ive sort of run out of things to say: some exclusive insight to our favorite blue silly :)

we all remember how leo struggled with portals? well, in this AU, thats because the mystic weapons that they had were catalysts, not their own full, separate things—if they had been fully fledged weapons with their powers, it would have been much like having to tame a wolf. because the weapons would have been their own type of subconscious, separate from both creator and user.

all that to say: because their weapons were essentially placeholders for the onces they create with their ninpo, the reason leo struggled in this au wasnt Just the inherent difficulty of trying to figure out how portals work, but because of his insecurity. he was struggling, and it Showed—and the more he struggled to fix it, the more insecure hed feel, and, well.... something something leos vicious cycle

(ALSO why his ninpo is so Distant now. because he feels, both consciously like he deserves to be disconnected and he IS disconnected from his family because he isnt talking to them and it shows. so in one way, hes consciously pulling away, but its also subconsciously.

and, those feelings could be made worse by the fact that one of his swords is still in the prison dimension—a piece of himself, lost, that he'll never get back.)

Donnie up and made a genetic clone of himself, raised them, and made the surprised Pikachu face when they didn't want to continue his work. (He loves them still) Judith is the "Raph" of the group, but rather than anger issues, has emotional outbursts in the form of being a "scaredy-cat". The second oldest of 16.

Adam

The adopted human kid of Mikey, he is the "Donnie" of the group, being streetsmart and intuitive, a real "improvise, adapt, overcome" type. As a human, Adam is the smallest and physically weakest kid, so he adapted by building a "shell shield" that he usually has strapped to his back, which he ofc a shield, but also sometimes a sled. Belle

Biological kid of Raph and Georgia (another oc for those without former knowledge of me) and the calm, down-to-earth member. She's the biggest from her genes received from Raph, but she's more of a "negotiate first, fight later". Poor girl needs therapy as she's always stressing about being the heir and future protector of the sea turtle people, 17 years old

Plot twist: this is ALSO Raph's kid, just Leo is somewhat of a mentor to him. Suffers greatly from feeling like he's inadequate to his sister and often does stupid, impulsive stuff to look cool, but usually just winds up getting the others in hot water. Pearl

Just imagine the text is yellow bc his role is April adjacent. Yet another Raph's baby but a literal baby. Sebastián is usually supposed to be babysitting but his irresponsible ass drops the kid with Casey, Splinter, or April to tag along on missions he wasn't invited to. More often than not Pearl winds up in a "Buttons and Mindy" situation where the older siblings/cousins have to untangle her from. Why do Raph and Georgia still leave Bastián responsible for Pearl? Convenient just-missing of hijinks of course! Typical baby behavior, being cute n' junk. Again a literal infant bc shes one and a half years old.
