This was too good not to share, and I am now putting out into the world the desire for an animated, animal friends version of Pride and Prejudice that does EXACTLY THIS. It would be AMAZING.
For anyone interested in the original: https://www.tumblr.com/pagerunner/191002786668/pride-prejudice-2005-dir-joe-wright
I found the screengrab on pinterest originally, so give the OG poster a like too!

Now, I do not believe stabbing people is an okay thing to do, and I do love Doctor Seward, but if I was Renfield I would have also stabbed my psychiatrist.

A modernization of hamlet that takes place in a bakery called “the danish king” and its kinda slapstick kinda not and hamlet is cleaning up the bakery, knocks a bag of flour, and the cloud of flour becomes his dads ghost and as their conversation ends he’s just looking at his reflection in the bakery window covered in flour and he wonders if he’s going mad

Sometimes I wonder how much fanfic of classical/iconic literature exists because of school projects. Just floating out there. In a drive somewhere. Not to mention that nothing is more unhinged than bored middle/highschoolers being forced to liven up books they might not care about. For every deranged ao3 crossover fic there is an infinitely more deranged crackfic written for the great gatsby or antigone or to kill a mockingbird or whatever by a bored highschooler and his friends for 10th grade English. I wanna read it

And both Uncle Shakespeare and Aunt Edgar are fantastic Halloween/Samhain/All Hallow's Eve reads, because they have ghosts, spookiness, and just entirely the right vibes.
