Little Misfortune!Yuu

I'm just here to mix-and-match different kinds of Yuus with different kinds of personalities to see what monstrosity I can make. That being said,,, Little Misfortune!Yuu brainrot!

Finally, the promised thing is here. I did say I was going to make this one day in one of my earlier asks. Well, here it is.

Yuu isn’t a child here. They’re all grown up but they still have the same morbid humor.

And who’s with them when they get transported into another world? Well, Mr. Voice, of course!

Mr. Voice is a limitedly omniscient being and probably lives in the 4th dimension or something. He’s just hanging around Yuu and acts as a father figure/narrator because he practically adopted Yuu and didn’t have the will to kill them when they were young and now here they are.

Or maybe he was successful and Yuu died but they were adopted by Mr. Voice soon after, whatever floats your boat.

Anyway, the only one who can hear Mr. Voice is Yuu.

Yuu also has that very distinct accent from the game because I say so. It’s cute and makes the morbid things that comes out of their mouth more horrifying.

Also, Mr. Voice probably sometimes lovingly refer to Yuu as ‘little misfortune’ as a nickname.

“Mr. Voice, I don’t like being trapped in here.” Yuu worriedly says once they woke up to find themselves trapped inside a coffin. “Can you help me get out?”

“Don’t worry, Yuu. I’m sure you’ll be out soon. Ah! Speaking of, here comes a cat. What might this little creature be doing to come here? Perhaps they’re going to help you get out of that coffin? It seems so! You might want to brace yourself, little misfortune.”

The moment the coffin opens up, Yuu faceplants on the ground with a loud ‘oomph!’.

“Are you okay, Yuu?”

“I’m okay, Mr. Voice.” Yuu says, pushing themselves off from the ground and dusting the dirt off from their clothes. They then looked around their surroundings and said in a voice full of awe, “Where are we?”

“We seem to be in a completely different place. Maybe even perhaps a different dimension?” Mr. Voice replies in his ever-so-calm manner.

“Woah! For reals? Are we going to have an adventure? I like adventures! Hehe.”

“Well, if you want to, then yes.”

The father-child moment gets broken by none other than Grim who butts in, “Who are you talking to, human?! Gah, nevermind that, give me your robe!”

Yuu manages to escape Grim safely with Mr. Voice’s guidance. That doesn’t last long because Grim finds them soon after.

Trust me when I say Mr. Voice was ready to throw hands at that moment.

Remember, Mr. Voice might not have a body but he can affect Yuu’s plane of existence.

Causing destruction or whatever, as long as the scene is within his ‘screen’ or in other words his point of view, is child’s play for him.

Luckily for Grim, Crowley arrived.

Guess no punting Grim to the horizon for today. Can’t say the same for the future overblot boys, though. May the Great Seven save their souls.

Anyway, they’ve arrived at the Mirror Chamber.

Yuu was hesitant to go in at first.

“There’s a lot of people inside. I don’t know how to feel about this, Mr. Voice.”

“It’s alright, Yuu. You don’t have to worry about anything. I’ll always be with you.”

“For reals?”

“Yes, for real. Now go in and show all those people inside you’re not someone to be messed with!”

“Hehe, okay!”

Yuu is not threatening at all. Not one bit. They like to think they are and Mr. Voice likes to encourage them and make them believe they are but no.

Anyway the ceremony goes off without a hitch, aside from Grim almost burning it down that is, and Yuu’s brought to Ramshackle.

“Creepy and spooky!” Yuu exclaims with a small giggle but they don’t seem worried or scared.

“Now, now, Yuu. It might look rundown on the inside but I’m sure it’s better on the inside.”

[Cut to Crowley and Yuu standing inside Ramshackle where it’s obviously not much better than the outside.]

Mr. Voice: “Well, alright then.” *proceeds to trip Crowley as he was heading out, making the Headmaster stumble, fall, and break through the dilapidated floor and down through the basement*

Mr: Voice: “That should take care of him for now. What say we go upstairs and find a nice comfy bed you can sleep on?”

Anyway, imagine Yuu and witnessing overblotting.

Someone: *overblots*

Yuu: “Yikes forever.”

And when the overblot’s finished, Yuu just sprinkles the overblottee a fistful of glitter.

“I hope you feel better now. Glitters always make me feel better.”

“You eat glitter, my little misfortune. I don’t think eating glitter makes anyone feel better.”

“Hush now, Mr. Voice.”

Where does Yuu even keep their seemingly infinite source of glitter from? Even Mr. Voice, as omniscient as he is, doesn’t know.

Now that I think about it, they’re probably going to be constantly throwing glitter all over the campus since they sprinkle it everywhere that they believe needs happiness, and it cheers them up.

And NRC is a very gloomy place.

My god, can you imagine that part where Riddle insult Yuu, their parents, and their education?

The braincell group gets angry, Ace punches Riddle but then Yuu just casually pipes up with:

“Hey! That’s rude, you know. My mommy and daddy were always busy arguing with each other and drinking juice so sometimes they forgot about me.”

“As I said before, their behavior isn’t an excuse for them to neglect you, Yuu.” Mr. Voice says.

“Really? Damn.”

“Language.”

Mr. Voice was slightly conflicted since technically Riddle was mocking Yuu’s parents and was trying to mock Yuu’s upbringing through them. Of course it doesn’t really work that well since Yuu’s parents weren’t the best people so he was kind of right.

Also imagine Yuu approaching Riddle post-overblot and asking, “Do you have your own Mr. Voice, too?”

“Mr. Voice?”

“Yeah! He talks in my head and knows a lot of things. He takes care of me because my mommy and daddy can’t.”

“I don’t think I have this… Mr. Voice you speak of.”

“Oh… Ok! I’ll just share him with you then and he can take care of both of us.”

Also, I like to think that since Mr. Voice is in another plane of dimension that’s beyond Yuu’s is that he can see what the players can see.

That means that he can see the overblot boys’ flashbacks and tells Yuu all about it.

“I don’t like Riddle’s mommy. She sounds mean. Can’t you do anything about this, Mr. Voice?”

“Unfortunately, I can’t. The only one who can make a choice regarding this is Rosehearts himself. The only thing we can do is give him support and help him when he needs it.”

Also, I don’t know why but I ironically think Mr. Voice would have a favorable impression on Ace.

Not at first, of course, since they insulted Yuu and all but he was thoroughly impressed with the Heartslabyul student when he defended Yuu later on and even called Trey out for being a bad friend to Riddle.

Anyway, Yuu probably doesn’t hide that they can hear Mr. Voice and even talks to them but since no one else can hear Mr. Voice, they seem a wee bit weird talking to thin air and staring off into nothing.

Except for the braincell trio and maybe some other people. They, at some point, start to believe Mr. Voice exists.

Because really?

Cater: “Prefect, do you know anything about how Trey got injured?”

Yuu: *silently looks to wherever Mr. Voice is*

Mr. Voice: “I believe this problem has something to do with the… Savanaclaw Dorm, was it? Specifically, someone by the name of Ruggie Bucchi. The one that Grim traded his lunch with the other day ago, remember him? He’s the one who has been causing all these accidents.”

Yuu, turning to the others: “Mr. Voice says it’s because of Ruggie Bucchie from Savanaclaw. He said that he was the one causing all the accidents.”

Ace: “Alright, case closed. Now let’s get the pitchforks.”

Unfortunately since they had no evidence yet and can only rely on Mr. Voice’s (someone who the majority still believes is just a product of Yuu’s overactive imagination and is in no way real) word, they can’t do anything but they do keep a closer eye on the Savanaclaw Dorm.

Also, I like to think that Lilia would want to adopt this Yuu.

Like, hm? Your parents were crappy and neglected you your whole life? Sometimes even hurting you? Well, well, well, would you like to instantly get a parental figure and immediately be adopted?

Mr. Voice has a contender for the parent role and it’s not Crowley.

“Mr. Lilia, Mr. Voice told me to tell you that ‘You are not going to be taking my ward away from me you overgrown bat.’”

Speaking of Crowley, every time he’s within Yuu’s vicinity, and subsequently in Mr. Voice’s point of view, dead birds will fall from the sky no matter if he’s inside a building or outside.

Mr. Voice is just that petty.

Also, just thinking about when the braincell group visit Ramshackle, gets bored, and goes over through Yuu’s stuff and they see a bloodstained rock that had a sad face drawn on to it.

“Hey Yuu, what’s the deal with this rock? Why does it have blood on it?”

“I got that stone when daddy threw it at me once. I call him Stony because he’s a stone.” Yuu said and giggled, not noticing the silent horrified looks their friends gave them.

Wait, wait, I just thought of something…

What if the reason Yuu got their name was because their parents couldn’t be bothered to think of a name for them and just constantly called them ’you’.

May i ask for a take on Little Misfortune Yuu? I would love to hear your take on it since I’ve just read someone’s take on it and would love to hear yours

I've seen a tumblr write a Little Misfortune Yuu and honestly I think they would be too pure for all the boy's. When they find out about their background with their father and mother they are protective of them. When I read the fic it had Mr. Voice like a father figure to them.

I think it would be a good idea since Mr. Voice can tell Yuu what happened or who not to trust. But I think this Yuu would also damage everyone psychologically mess with everyone since Little Misfortune is a younger girl who is dead. She was playing a game to see eternal happiness for her mother.

I think the boy's would be very disgusted by her father. I think they would be very protective of them since they act like a small child. They also are very trusting to everyone around them. Some do take advantage of their nieveness but others try and be kind and slowly as them goes by they get protective of them like older brothers.

I would love to see angst on this Yuu.

Hana, scenario just popped in my head.

Just to clarify, put this before Yuu and Lilia got together.

Okay so, Lilia Tsum is getting all of Yuu’s attention, absolutely loving how he’s being called adorable, a precious bean, being hugged and kissed because he’s such an adorable Tsum, cradled and loved by this giant version of their beloved, how more can this stuffed toy ask?

Well, in reality Tsum Lilia is doing it to also annoy normal Lilia, because he thought these two were a thing, what is a little game of jealousy? Tsum Lilia gets to spend quality time with this version of his own lover, he’s sure Lilia is going to snap at him and he’s going to turn this into a hide and seek game; wrong.

Lilia, who wants to confess but fumbles it everytime and doesn’t want to come up as intense to Yuu, he’s on the sideline just watching all of this with a look of (°ㅂ°╬).

Yuu, unaware or just not feeling confident enough to confess to this dilf so they get to hug and kiss this version of their crush because it’s adorable, anyone would understand that cuteness aggression, this is one way to get those loving feeling off their chest.

And they just look at Lilia like “You doing alright? You’ve been awfully quiet” because they think they did something wrong, maybe he got bored of their conversation? Is he late for something? They aren’t, maybe they could offer to go to Sam’s and buy snacks to just, you know, be with him a bit longer.

And Lilia is just “No, nothing, just thinking of a, future training regime for the boys” he’s trying to reach for the Tsum and go prank people because the feeling and laughter at someone’s misfortune is WAY better than this burning jealousy, maybe he could get back to his Tsum with a prank or two.

And it clicks to Tsum Lilia, how coward can this version of himself be? Not on his watch!

So he disappears from Yuu’s arms and makes them trip, Lilia catching them by the waist, Tsum Lilia taking this advantage to tackle Lilia and making both fall on each other.

With both on the ground, maybe in a stupid position who knows, Tsum Lilia jumping on his counterparts head like “fucking do it dude! I know you love them, just confess!”

Okay, that is all I can think of, you go off, how would you end this? With Lilia squeezing the Tsum like a squeaky toy?

I think that Tsum Lilia would be ruthless to get Lilia to confess. If he doesn’t do it now? Oh he’s going to make Lilia jealous ten fold and then start wing manning until Lilia has no choice but to confess.

This would be a fun story to tell in the future while Lilia now has an excuse to get his tsum counterpart and squeeze him like a chew toy.

SAM and his familiar~ When you wish upon a star~

Gah I’m still shy to share those concept, but it truly made me wonder why the "star wish" event didn't have alternate outfit~ Except our little Ortho (precious, best gear each time)! Anyway let's follow again our dear Sam in his scholarship journey!! He came from the Disney which is literally related to "the famous Disney star wish"!! It definitely has an important place for him~ Also thank you for all your feedback for Sam!!! I am happy for him!! You little one are so lovely!! Thank you!

They're celebrating the star wish event at the Mystery's S shop, Sam didn't belong to any dorm as his scholarship is similar to student exchange, he resides either at his grandpa's shop or at Ombrorio (just like Yuu and Grimm)~

Being far away from Jubilee port they still celebrate the event like they should in their home fashion way, singing, dancing, grooving and praying for "Evangeline".

Being outcast from others students (as they declared that Sam was cursed and brought misfortune) noone came to ask for his wish.

Sam couldn't care less as "a better wish is to stay a mystery", making his friends on the other side worried about him not having human friends.

Eventually K with Sam's grandpa's help could sew some outfits, get some star wish crystals and decorate the shop backyard to enjoy with everyone. They enjoyed their night and waited for shooting star praying for "puppet becoming true little boy", "lost boys fighting pirates from the second star" and "Evangeline being with her lover"!

The next morning K and Sam were recycling their outfit and jewelry as lucky charm fortune to sell to others students, like a "lucky shot only work once"! Smiling and laughing that human are so naive...

So here we fucking go 😊

A little background info this opinion are after Yuu and the gang explained everything that happned. You know like everything from Book 1 to 7

The first thing she demanded before the explaination was that Yuu should tje curtsy like what Alice did in the movie. At first Yuu wasn't sure, but Riddle kept glaring Daggers at them so they had to 😅

She also asked if Yuu also knows all 870 (lmao I have forgotten if its the right number 😭), to which Yuu replied only 210 (Yuu learns the rules so Riddle won't kick then out of the dorm if they visit). Before the explaination she thought Yuu was j6st a kid with a strange scar on their face. After that she are impressed by Yuu.

She doesn't have anything bad to say about Yuu, if they won't anger her. Spoiler Alert it's unlikely that will happen.

Scar is neutral about humans in general. He doesn't despise them but also isn't a fan of them. Before the explaination he didn't thought highly of Yuu, but he was curious about their face scar.

After the explaination he was surprised on how long Yuu survived ALL of the misfortunes. He now respects Yuu in his way.

As will be with the others Ursula didn't thought much of Yuu so I will exclude it now. Also they are impressed and a little concerned.

Ursula thinks Yuu is an interesting person worth spending time with. She'd love to make a contract woth them but were quikly declined.

Jafar is interested in Yuu espacially their cababilities, since it saved them multiple times.

Before you ask where Jago is I kinda forgot about him sorry 😅

The evil queen was firstly fixated on Yuu's appearance. It wasn't easy since Yuu was stuck in a tree for a while, but after close obsetvation, she says that Yuu look "presentable". It doesn't soznd much but coming fron the fairest queen it's atleast something.

She thinks that Yuu like the others as interesting and has a little respect towards them

Hades upon seeing this kid was the first (technically second since Malefizent got to know information from Malleus) to be curious on this kid. After hearing what happened he gets a liitle more concerned and is the first to ask as on HOW THE HELL ARE THEY STILL ALIVE.

All in all he likes Yuu

Malefizent as mentioned got to hear from Yuu from Maulleus and she was before meeting Yuu already awed since they are the first human who befriended her great-great-grandson. Upon meeting them she saw why Malleus liked them as a friend.

After the explanation she was also inpressed and concerned.

They already had a bonus since Malleus talked so good about them and now it's even better.

Jesus Christ that took WAY longer then I thought. Some of the opinions are short but more couldn't I tell you I'm sorry 😭

But I have a question or drabble how did Ace,Yuu and Deuce meet?

Were they all young or new adventures, childhood best friends,they all took the same mission and fought over who gets the reward.

Sidebar guild NRC, Crowley hands out missions to guilds.

That would depend on which version of Yuu/MC you mean! It's different for each iteration.

Bard!Yuu met them in a tavern as new, baby-faced, adventurers after being raised by a patient but perpetually irritated Lord Crewel. They made their own little party and have caused nothing but horrible misfortunate and chaos since.

Hermit!Yuu met them by happenstance, as they take in every wayward adventurer they find the way that one might collect stray cats. And those two are certainly the most wayward of them all

Baker!Yuu buys eggs from Deuce and his mother's farm, and uses Ace and his family's banking firm for their business purposes. So their relationship is a bit more transactional.

Red!Yuu is a Feral Creature with no real friends other than demonic forest spirits and evil old grandmas, so Ace and Deuce aren't even on the radar

Hi mod Azul!! I hope you're having a wonderful day :) This might be a little silly, but can I request the octo trio with a yuu that's a really good flier? I can see yuu diving down on a broom to catch the boys from falling, or wrapping the boy's arms around their waist and telling them to hold on. On a more hectic note, I can also see them jumping onto one of the boys brooms while both are on the run, or just being experimental with tricks in general. With how gifted the octo trio is with flying, I mean,,, the hilarity of it all lmao????

Azul Ashengrotto

He likes them a lot, but he feels like he will never truly know peace with them being as passionate as they are about flying. He knows they're skilled, but he simply wishes he could be far, far away when they're practicing.

It's no exaggeration to say that Azul hates flying with ever fiber of his being. So, initially, them assisting when he would tip over off the side of his broom was very appreciated. Now if only it had stayed at that.

See, they offered to tutor him. Being who he is, Azul always wants to improve himself. He wants to be as competent on a broom as they are. It, by all appearances, should be beneficial, right?

Wrong. Wrong. So very, very wrong. Azul realized this about the time that they said "hold on" and encouraged him to hold onto their waist. He had been confused first, but followed their instructions, only for them to rocket off at full speed. He screamed himself hoarse and they were laughing.

It is five minutes of absolute hell, and the moment they slow down and dip back down to ground level, Azul gets off the broom and collapses down to the earth immediately. He can't stand up because his legs are jelly, and he can't even lecture them for the stunt because he's breathing too fast. He feels frighteningly like a human Yahtzee cup and his organs are the dice.

His weak "Never. Do. That. Again." seems to fall on deaf ears as they erupt into peals of laughter again.

It's far from the last time he has the... misfortune of being on a broom with them, though. Aside from the tutoring, they have this habit of jumping onto his broom with him while he's trying to practice during PE and using it to escape whatever problems they're causing with their antics. It's an unfortunate reflex he's developed that if they so much as touch his broom, he's reaching for their waist to cling for his life and desperately wishing he had the other eight limbs to keep himself rooted to them.

And as if all of that wasn't traumatic enough for him, they love to showboat. On at least one occasion they've had to stop his unconscious body from falling to the ground after he fainted when they did a loop with him on the broom.

The worst part is... his flying grade has gotten better so he can't even say that he hasn't learned anything. Sometimes he thinks that he really must be a masochist to keep putting himself through this... but it's the only thing that has seemed to genuinely help him improve...

Jade Leech

Jade handles being airborne with more grace than Azul does, but he still hates it. His grades in flight are still pretty poor.

He is grateful when they rescue him from a nasty tumble off his broom, and when they offer pointers he thinks that it might be wise to have a listen to what they say.

He wasn't expecting a live demonstration, but sure enough they tell him to get on the back of their broom and grab their waist. Jade is... skeptical to say the least, after all he's 6'3" and weighs in just under 200 lbs, so he really doubts that holding onto them is going to do much good if he truly ends up in trouble, but he decides to trust their judgement.

They take off like a rocket and... Jade is stunned into wide-eyed silence.

It's not until they land again and Jade moves to step off the broom that his fear becomes clear, as, like Azul, he simply slumps down on himself as well. He's not laying on the ground, but it takes him a few minutes to regain the strength in his legs again.

See... Jade is quite afraid of heights. He can handle it when he has climbing gear or when he has a mountain that he can anchor himself to, but when there's nothing but air below him he's terrified.

At least they seem pretty genuinely concerned about him and check on him. He appreciates it, but it's hard to explain that he just hates the feeling of his legs dangling like that. He decides to accept their offer for tutoring because he figures if anyone can teach him a smidge of confidence on a broom, it's probably going to be them.

Their lessons are usually normal, but sometimes they will throw Jade a complete curveball. They'll take over flying and do a spin or flip the broom over. Thankfully they've been staying relatively low to the ground so Jade knows if he slips and falls he won't be super likely to be hurt, but he feels something in his brain switch into full wild Moray Eel danger mode and he simply goes entirely still. He knows if he was under the sea he would probably be hiding in a rock crevice, but that's not an option when you're not even on land, let alone sea.

Floyd Leech

Floyd is honestly used to tumbling off his broom in flight classes. He sucks flying, and he embraces that proudly. He will still chirp a Thanks when they save him from landing on his ass though.

He's initially not all too interested when they offer to show him some pointers, thinking it will be boring. However, they grin at him wickedly and tell him to get on their broom and something in him says 'Oh this is going to be FUN' and he climbs aboard.

They go super fast. Floyd might be clinging for dear life, but he's laughing manically and shouting with glee as they race through the air. They even do a little loop and Floyd almost tips off the broom when he stops holding on to throw his arms up in the air.

He doesn't take them up on the offer for lessons, but he does tell them that they can take him on another joyride anytime they like. Truthfully, Floyd has very little interest in learning how to fly long-term, he knows it's not something that's really going to matter when he graduates. But he is down for a good time.

They get along well, actually. Floyd doesn't mind at all when they hop on his broom and steal him away with it to get themselves out of trouble. He definitely needs to be reminded to hold on, though, because he will forget to do that and slip off.

He loves when they do tricks. It's kind of like being on a rollercoaster. (Not that he ever has been on one, but he imagines it is.) He loves when they do loops or spins because, frankly, he's very used to being upside down on his broom anyway.

Hahaaaaa, Spy X Family brainrot, Octavinelle flavored cuz I type away secretly in my lil note app.

Azul at first was only going to adopt Jade but the twins were quick on their feet, acting smart in front of Azul. Be it the crossword puzzle or some other complex task. Azul relented in getting both of them as double the chances one of them gets into the esteemed school. Let’s call it Night Raven Academy, hehe.

The tweels are menaces even as youngsters. They stick with Azul and Yuu because they find them much more interesting compared to the past families they’ve been with.

Though it becomes very clear in due time the tweels are quickly getting attached to their new parents and don’t want to be abandoned by them.

Yuu is similar to Azul in that their assassin skills are only offered to those willing to pay. But at least they make an effort to only accept jobs that would benefit society as a whole.

Yuu has a special little partner named Grim! Grim serves as the role Bond would play but comes in much earlier once Yuu is married to Azul. He is a seemingly normal house cat but he loyally joins Yuu during assassinations. Acting as a distraction, look-out, or a scout.

What Yuu doesn’t know is that Grim has an uncanny ability to have future visions. But only specifically future visions that would bring death or misfortune. He uses this ability to keep Yuu and himself safe during missions.

Tweels see these visions too due to their psychic abilities and use this to their advantage.

Grim HATES the Ashengrotto men. At least at first. All due to getting a WAVE of misfortune visions of Yuu due to being involved with these guys. Which results in lots of hissing, clawing, and being a nuisance to Azul.

Tries very hard to get these two to divorce but comically it always ends with the couple being closer.

The twins show their own special kind of affection to Grim via teasing them. As much as they like to torment the cat, they also try to reassure Grim that nothing bad will ever happen to Yuu because they’re here and also Azul would never let something happen to his spouse.

The twin do gravitate to a certain parent even though they are affectionate to both equally. Jade works well with Azul but Azul swear the kid is using him to his own advantage. For example, Jade acting cute and asking for a family outing at a local greenhouse. Azul gets confident, thinking that finally, his adopted son is opening up more to him! But no, Jade is using the family outing as an excuse to observe a special exhibit of mushrooms.

Floyd meanwhile is SUPER clingy to Yuu. It’s rare to not see Floyd practically glued around Yuu be it hanging off their leg or clutched on their back. Floyd often likes to nip ag Yuu for their attention if they’re working on something while he squeezes on them.

Both the twins have matching eel plushies they are quite fond of. If misplaced, the twins get very upset and vulnerable and the parents are scrambling to find them. Floyd will straight up start throwing a tantrum while crying and Jade is more subdued and holding back tears.

On a happier note, there is never a meal that is skipped or someone absent at the table. Everyone has to be present and relaxed, enjoying their meals. It’s a strange, calming ritual that the whole Ashengrotto family enjoys a lot. Azul is an amazing chef and he’ll never say if out loud but seeing his “family” well-fed and happy makes him content.

Do you think Yuu is like a cryptid at NRC but not like obviously but in vibes only. Like here's this random person who the magic mirror itself said didn't belong in this world and it also called yuu something along the lines of empty or hollow. And they're staying in a rundown dorm with a bad reputation and constantly handling overblots which can affect others as seen with grim (different scenarios but still adding it in) and coming out somewhat okay. And don't get me started on the dreams and the overblot drip animation which I'm 100% believing as Yuu's subconsciously vibe checking the situation

Just Yuu being a little unsettling as a treat. Like here's this world full of magic and wonder and what not and Yuu is just the antithesis. Like everyone has Unique Magic and Yuu is this strange little void that's essentially pulled towards bad vibes and unfortunately trauma. Subconsciously like a vulture waiting and searching for possible overblots.

I'm not saying Yuu is causing overblots and of course everything is due to Plot™️ but just the other students seeing this random getting a little close or invested in someone and said person losing it a couple days later.

This is reminding me of a post I have in my drafts of how Yuu is the subject of interschool gossip, because everyone is in agreement the whole situation is weird.

But in the context you're talking about, I can easily see Yuu getting the Absol and Mothman treatment. They eventually get this reputation of being a bringer of misfortune, that if Yuu starts to show up around you more and more, you or someone around you will Overblot. All sorts of outlandish rumors spiral out of control. From saying Yuu actually has magic, but its some forbidden for them to use. Or that the Dark Mirror is cursed and Yuu is the blight that's been brought on to the school. All the students who don't personally know Yuu are now scared of them and don't want anything to do with them.

Whilst everyone at Night Raven College would just love to forget any of the events that took place during the 'Ghost Bride' incident, some things needed to be redone and reminisced.

For example, Leona getting slapped, Vil getting humbled, Trey reminding all the other guys that they're all inexperienced virgins and most importantly Ace blushing.

Now seeing as the only ones who had the lovely pleasure of seeing Ace's normally smug face turn bright red and bashful, were the first years they were unfortunately the only ones who could carry on this legacy.

However, they will slowly recruit more people, much to Ace's misfortune.

"Is everybody here?" Asked Yuu, looking at their fellow comrades who are all in on the mission of making Ace blush.

"Yes, captain." They all replied in sync, all of them sporting a smirk.

"Perfect. Now let's strategize and commence our plans. Deuce go."

"Well, the subject is known for smirking his way through sassing the upperclassmen and our fellow classmates. So far, I have yet to see any redness on his face that is not coming from any physical activities he's had to do due to sports and everyone is bright red then. I have noticed however that whenever someone isn't around he tends to relax and he seems quite jumpy when someone appears out of nowhere.." Deuce listed, voice serious as he recounted what he knew, as if he was giving the pass code to a nuclear missile.

"Excellent" Yuu praised as everyone nodded their heads and clapped for the first year. "Epel, you're next"

"Ace, whilst seemingly arrogant, can't seem to handle the pressure of being in the spotlight for too long. He waves of excessive praise and compliments. I have in fact seen him try and brush some compliments away. He also can't seem to take any compliments when it comes to physical looks." listed Epel, a smile on his face. He couldn't help it! Just knowing that big old Ace Trappola got shy when given one too many compliments would make anyone with a sadistic bone in their body happy.

"Interesting. I have plans to utilise that." Yuu laced their fingers together and placed her chin on them, a devious smirk on their lips. Oh dear Ace how you'd wish you were just arrogant. "But for now, Jack report."

"I would say he's gotten rather touch starved since starting here." At everyone's confused looks he elaborated. "I wouldn't think that his brother was rather affectionate with him. Coming here and with his less than…agreeable… personality would have made it hard for him to be able to be given any form of affection. I tend to see him glancing longingly at the upperclassmen and he tends to 'brat out' when not given enough attention." Jack finished and he had to mentally fend off any lecherous thoughts that were about to appear in his head.

"Interesting, interesting." Yuu nodded, a few lecherous thoughts swimming in their own head before they batted them away and turned to sebek. "What do you have my fellow comrade?"

"Despite his bratty attitude it is clear that he respects the upperclassmen a lot more than they can tell. Every if he acts a bit too bratty he always stops after a certain look. My guess daddy issues or he missis home." Sebek reported, serious as ever.

"Hmmm. I believe we have a game plan gentlemen." Yuu decided staring up at all of them, all the first years present all sharing evil smirks, completely oblivious to Grim's disappointed face at their stupidity.

Ace was not dumb, despite what other people may think. He was observant when need be and noticed things that others didn't particularly pay attention to or look for.

And that's how he realised that his friends were up to something.

He deduced that their shady behaviour had been starting from the Ghost Bride. Ever since the humiliation of having Ortho show them the tape of his 'ideal partner' he's noticed them all slinking away at random times and stop hushed conversations whenever he walked by.

He wasn't going to lie, it hurt him slightly that his friends were avoiding him but he was Ace Trappola and like hell was he going to let people make him question himself. Even if he trusted those people and thought that maybe they did like him and didn't see him as a complete nuisance and an annoyance. It was just as good as if they didn't want to speak to him anyway! He had to focus on his magic and-

His depressing train of thought was stopped when a pair of strong arms wrapped around his waist and pulled him to a solid chest.

"H-HUH?!" He squeaked as he struggled trying to escape before a chin was placed on his shoulder and a familiar voice spoke.

"Hey Ace." Deuce greeted, arms tightening around Ace, even when Ace stopped struggling.

"D-deuce!? What are you-" He could barely get the words out, knowing for a fact that his face was redder than his hair and he absolutely hated that it was Deuce Spade that was making him this embarrassed.

"Ace are you okay? Your face is quite red." Deuce asked in concern, pointing out what Ace didn't want him to notice.

Ace didn't reply, instead bringing his hands up to his face to cover his face to both whine quietly in confusion and embarrassment and to also hide his burning red face.

Deuce, unknown to him, however was smirking triumphantly and he mentally ticked off 'surprising him in an empty corridor to make him blush.'

"Anyway." Deuce started, retracting his arms from around Ace and smirking when Ace turned to look at him accusingly "I just remembered that Trey-senpai was going to go over some History with me. Catch you later Ace." And he dashed off, leaving one focused ginger in his wake.

"W-wha-" Ace stuttered, trying to understand what was going on, grateful that the hallway had been empty sans for him and Deuce.

He shook his head and slapped his cheek before nodding to himself. If Deuce was going to act as if nothing happened then so was he. There was no point in making a big deal out of nothing.

So, with that in mind he started his trip to his dorm, not noticing the Grim who was shaking his head at the stupidity of his friends.

"You're so cool Ace!" Epel sighed, leaning heavily into Ace's space, pretending as if he didn't notice how nervous the red head was getting and his slowly reddening face.

"I think I got your point, dude." Ace tried to laugh it off with a nervous laugh and a smirk but Epel just ignored both, internally smirking at the others red face. Bingo.

"But it's true. You're so strong but your hands look so smooth and pretty. And your face doesn't even have a blemish in sight. You would have fit right into my dorm that's where all the pretty ones are at." Having to openly admit that he's 'pretty' was a huge blow to his pride but it was all in the great scheme of things to make Ace blush and it worked!

People all around them were nodding their heads, at first irritated that the short first year had been complimenting the seemingly arrogant red head but as they slowly watched Ace blush they couldn't help but join in, all too happy to knock him down.

"Epel is right!" A Promefiore student nodded along, sidling up next to Ace and giving him a look over, aware of the other darkening. "Your physique is amazing and it's quite clear that certain parts of you are blessed." Thankfully the student refrained from feeling up those blessed parts because Ace wasn't sure his heart could handle it.

"A-anyways I n-" Ace interrupted with nervous laughter but was only stopped by more students coming up to him to compliment him.

"Yeah! You look gorgeous!"

"Have you seen him in class! He can pick things up in seconds!"

"He's so cool and funny! Have you seen his magic tricks!"

More and more students crowded around the blushing first year all showing him with praise ro see his face darken and Epel was able to slip away undetected, a smirk on his face and his phone in his hand.

Walking away gleefully he didn't notice Grim leaning across the wall with a disappointed look on his face shaking his head and crossing his arms at him.

Ace glanced around nervously, afraid that if he didn't look properly then one of his so-called friends would pounce and destroy his street cred by turning him into a blushing mess.

Thankfully, he was able to make it to the gardens in peace without any of his friends finding him. Once in he let out a giant sigh of relief as he walked over and collapsed against a tree, sighing loudly.

Whilst sitting against the tree he began recollecting all of the events that have been happening recently.

First, his friends ignore him and avoid him like no other and then when they did acknowledge him it was to humiliate him and make fun of him?

Whilst our lovable idiot sat there, completely missing as to why his friends were making him blush, a certain lion had made his way up to him, annoyance clear on his face as he remembered the interaction he had with his the first years.

"Please!" They all begged, their voices reaching an annoyingly loud whine that made him regret having good hearing.

"Give me one good reason why I should go up to that brat and hug him!" Demanded Leona as he glared at the first years.

"We'll stop annoying you." Yuu replied, with their 'duh' voice.

Leona glared at them even harsher but the annoying herbivore didn't back down, only raising a single eyebrow as if challenging him.

Leona held their gaze for a moment longer before groaning. "Fine. Now fuck off." He snapped.

"Yes senpai!"

Leona shook his head, as if to get rid of that memory but nonetheless continued his walk to the redhead who still hadn't noticed him.

"Well well well, what's a little Heartslabyul student doing in my neck of the woods" He growled in lue of greeting.

"Leona-senpai!" Ace jumped in surprise. "I d-"

However, before Ace could explain the situation Leona pulled him into a hug.

Ace could have fainted then and there on the spot because why on earth was the guy who's notorious for hating any form of physical contact willingly hugging him?

"W-wha-" Ace stammered, starting to struggle out of the beastman's hold.

Leona just sighed as of suffering and flopped onto the grass pulling a struggling Ace with him.

"Hush and go to sleep. I want to take a nap." The upperclassmen grumbled before knocking out.

Ace briefly stopped struggling to stare incredulously at the older man before renewing his struggles only to stop with a squeak when Leona growled and tightened his arms around him.

Ace sighed and gave up, untensing his body and just let himself lay across his senpai.

After a while he felt his eyelids get heavy and he felt himself subconsciously snuggling up to Leona. Despite every instinct in him telling him to run he couldn't help but remember his older brother's cradle and he felt himself fully relax against his seniors chest.

Whilst Ace was busy relaxing and distressing after weeks of paranoia Leona was busy questioning his entire perspective of life.

'Why in the hell is he playing cute?' He screamed internally as the smaller first year cuddled up to his chest more and let out a content sleepy sigh.

"Onii-san" He heard the younger whisper before he felt his heartbeat slow down and his breathing smooth out, indicating that the first year had fallen asleep.

"Jack wasn't kidding when he said that he was touch deprived." He muttered gruffly before he just sighed and settled down for his own nap. "Oh well. At least he's quiet like this."

Ace hasn't felt more humiliated in his life than this moment.

Not only had he 'confessed' in front of everyone to save his recluse of a senpai but also his friends had figured out that he was actually being genuine and had watched the entire thing on repeat multiple times.

And then he was ignored for weeks by his friends for seemingly no reason whatsoever. And then after that he was subjected to more pain in the form of his friend acting weird I.e Deuce just randomly grabbing him by the waist, Epel overly complimenting him thus causing a shit ton more which made him wanna run out and then suddenly Leona-senpai hugged him and took a nap with him and something was telling him that Jack was behind that.

And now…he didn't know.

He still doesn't have the answers to his friends weird behaviours and they still weren't talking to him apart from being wierd.

Ace roughly rubbed his eyes, refusing to let the tears fall and instead took jn a deep breath.

'Whatever!' He thought to himself 'I still have friends in other dorms! Those guys are cool! Yeah maybe they won't know what I will like and I'm sure it'll be awkward and yeah I won't feel as comfortable and-'

Fortunately, the arrival of Trey and Cater stopped his depressing track of thoughts.

"Hey Acey~" greeted Cater, slinging an arm around him and pulling him close.

Ace stumbled ever so slightly at the sudden action before relaxing against his favourite upperclassmen. At last, someyhing mildly normal.

"Hey Cater senpai! Trey senpai!" Ge greeted, flashing them both a smile, something he realises he hasn't done much off in the last week.

"Hey Ace." Trey greeted back and did something completely unusual. He ruffled his hair.

Ace blinked in confusion at the action and without his permission his kips formed intoa pout and his cheeks heated. "Senpai~ my hair!" He whined loudly, giving Trey a dirty look.

"Sorry sorry." Trey chuckled sheepishly and then went in for the kill "You just looked really cute."

Ace blushed all the way from the top of his head to his chest.

"Sh-shut up!" He snapped indignantly "I am not cute!" He knew his pout wasn't doing his well but it wasn't like he could control it!

"Awe but you are Acey~!" Argued Cater, squeezing his cheeks and placing a kiss in both of them "Absolutely adorable!" He complimented him and watched in woneer as Ace averted his gaze and his cheeks got impossibly redder.

Huh, turns out that the other first years had been right about Ace being adorable when he blushed.

"You're both embarrassing you know that right?" He asked rhetorically.

"Yup!" Trey didn't bother denying and draped his arms around Ace as well so he was in-between him and Cater.

Ace just sighed and resigned to his fate to being teased by his upperclassmen.

"Is everybody here?" Yuu asked, heavy cloak covering their face.

"Yes captain!" Everyibe replied, voices serious.

"Then let's commence!" They yelled dramatically "The Ace Trappola fanclub session!" And with that there was sounds of people yelling and the main word being spread around was the word Ace and pictures of said person.

"You know if you were still feeling petty over him taking your chips you could have just gone to Riddle and he would have dealt with it." Grim's voice appeared near them, full of disappointment.

They merely turned to their housemate and grinned a smile full of teeth.

"True. But this is better." They replied simply. When Grim's unimpressed face remained they sighed dramatically and continued "I will stop it when it goes too far don't worry." They told him in an attempt in comfort but Grim merely raised an eyebrow at the human.

"Oh yeah? When's that?" He asked

"When he cries" they replied before they made their way to a group of students who were gushing over how pretty Ace would look in a maid dress.

'Honestly that might be sooner than what you think.' Grim thought to himself privately and winced.

He was so not looking forward to the outcome of this entire mess but he shook his head fondly.

'At least Ace got something out of this in the end. A dedicated fan base."

Regrets AU Riddle ver.

Remember the Regrets AU I'm writing? Well, my brain told me that it would be interesting to do it but with the other guardians of the houses, and while I rambled about how the story would be and how it would change depending on each character and their personality, Riddle's ended up becoming a damn comedy.

And since I can't get it out of my head, I'll write here to be able to leave that alone and continue with the blessed chapters of Regrets that I have long overdue.

The opening story is basically the same as with Vil's.

Two girls arrive, one is "good" (again it will be Yuu) and the other "bad" (let's call it Ume just because I like the way it sounds), the bad one starts dating one of the guys that Overblot (in this case Riddle) and because of the brainwashing that makes them all good, they end up killing Ume.

The difference between Vil and Riddle is that the latter has no way of knowing that Ume didn't really die and simply returned to his home believing that it was all a dream.

This is when things get weird for everyone else.

The beautiful, cruel and selfish Yuu causes a thousand and one disasters to happen out of the sheer desire for power, fame and admiration.

She took advantage of her connections and friendships with people of power to attend political events where she somehow ends up starting a war between all living races.

She obviously denies any blame and tries to charm her way out of trouble.

These problems last for years, and lead many of her former friends and lovers to turn their backs on her, as they try to fix the problems she caused and thus prevent the destruction of her homes.

Lilia literally forces Malleus to cut all ties with Yuu for the sake of her people, as this lovesick fool was the most reluctant to admit that she was the cause of one of the greatest misfortunes in history.

Even Kalim understood that faster than our poor Tsunotaro.

Our former Guardian of Heartslabyul continues his life in the best way he can, completely ignoring the existence of Yuu and Grimm, those along with the name of his former girlfriend are completely forbidden around him, just for very different reasons.

The first two make him have fits of rage that usually end with something going up in flames, while the last one makes him cry like a baby and ends with Chenya and Trey comforting the poor guy for hours.

Riddle never commits suicide as Vil did, he marries a woman he does not love, he never has children for fear of repeating his mother's mistakes, he reaches old age and dies of natural causes but carrying all his life with the weight and pain of having been complicit in the death of his girlfriend.

And it's when our little red tyrant dies that the world resets.

Everyone reappears at the entrance ceremony, everyone is confused about what happened, but they think it's a miracle, a dream or something.

While everyone is talking about what could be happening, Kalim approaches Riddle and advises him to try to fix things with Ume this time, since he knows how much he suffered from her death.

Which many believe is a good idea, since with everything seen in the future, it was more than clear that Yuu had made all those present look like idiots and it was very likely that Ume had never committed any crime against Yuu and Grimm.

If only Riddle knew what the hell they're talking about.

Everyone is literally stared at as if they are sick or have grown a second head.

Riddle, Yuu, Grimm and Ume are the ONLY ones that returned with no memory of what happened in the past/future.

A meeting of all living (and not so living) beings that are part of the school is held, only excluding those who do not know about the regression, to discuss what could have caused such an event and how to prevent future misfortunes from stopping.

It was concluded that somehow Riddle is the reason they came back and every time he dies horribly or unhappily they return to the entrance ceremony.

This hypothesis was proven (sadly) more than once. Who would have imagined that an Overblot can really kill a person? Or that he can really die of a broken heart? (Leona accepts the blame for that bad decision, although she would like them to stop complaining about it)

From then on it's a group effort between almost all of the NRC alumni to prevent Yuu from gaining any kind of popularity and try to get the little red tyrant romantically together with Ume.

Riddle doesn't understand anything.

Why are they so insistent that he MUST get along with one of the non-magic girls who came by accident?

His whole Overblot disaster happens, as much as they wanted to stop it, it's necessary for his character development.

One funny thing is that neither Riddle nor Ume know how to hide their crush, they're so obvious it's painful to watch.

The day our little queen decides to confess, the school literally splits up into several teams to make sure said confession goes off without a hitch.

The most important (and tiring at the end of the day) teams are the ones that actively help Riddle, the one that gets Ume safely to the rendezvous point, and the one that stops Yuu from trying to ruin the confession. .

At the end somehow there's a sodden Riddle along with a mangled bouquet of roses, an Ume covered in dirt, leaves, and (for some reason) peacock feathers, along with what appears to be a Grimm wrapped in a makeshift straitjacket. .

Crowley and all the other dorm heads are mentally preparing for the catastrophe to come, only it never comes.

All of Riddle's stress drains from her body as Ume starts laughing and picks up one of the few intact roses left in the mess of bouquets in her hands.

Only the Big Seven know how, but a new couple at NRC joins that day and it's more than reason to celebrate.

Now they just have to find a way to prevent Yuu from poking her nose into said relationship.

¿Recuerdan el AU Arrepentimientos que estoy escribiendo? Pues mi cerebro me dijo que sería interesante hacerlo pero con los demás guardianes de las casas, y mientras divagaba sobre cómo sería y cambiaría la historia dependiendo de cada personaje y su personalidad, el de Riddle se terminó convirtiendo en una maldita comedia.

Y como no me lo puedo sacar de la cabeza escribiré aquí para poder dejar eso en paz y continuar con los benditos capítulos del Arrepentimientos que tengo bastante atrasados.

La historia inicial es básicamente lo mismo que con la de Vil.

Dos chicas llegan, una es “buena” (otra vez será Yuu) y la otra “mala” (vamos a decirle Ume solo porque me gusta como suena), la mala empieza a salir con alguno de los chicos que Overblot (en este caso Riddle) y por el lavado de cerebro que les hace a todos la buena, terminan matando a Ume.

La diferencia entre Vil y Riddle, es que este último no tiene ninguna forma de saber que Ume no murió realmente y simplemente regresó a su hogar creyendo que todo fue un sueño.

Aquí es cuando las cosas se ponen raras para todos los demás.

La bella, cruel y egoísta de Yuu hace que mil y un desastres ocurran por el puro deseo de poder, fama y admiración.

Estos problemas duran años, y llevan a muchos de sus antiguos amigos y amantes a darle la espalda, en lo que intentan arreglar los problemas que ella causó y así evitar la destrucción de sus hogares.

Lilia literalmente obliga a Malleus a cortar todos los lazos con Yuu por el bien de su gente, ya que este tonto enamorado era el mas reacio a admitir que ella era la causante de una de las mayores desgracias de la historia.

Incluso Kalim entendió eso más rápido que nuestro pobre Tsunotaro.

Nuestro antiguo Guardián de Heartslabyul continúa su vida de la mejor forma que puede, ignorando por completo la existencia de Yuu y Grimm, esos junto con el nombre de su antigua novia están completamente prohibidos alrededor de él, solo que por razones muy distintas.

Los dos primeros lo hacen tener ataques de ira que usualmente terminan con algo prendido en llamas, mientras que el último lo hace llorar como un bebé y termina con Chenya y Trey consolando al pobre por horas.

Riddle nunca comete suicidio como lo hizo Vil, este se casa con una mujer que no ama, nunca llega a tener hijos por miedo a repetir los errores de su madre, llega a la vejes y muere por causas naturales pero cargando toda su vida con el peso y dolor de haber sido complice de la muerte de su novia.

Y es cuando nuestro pequeño tirano rojo muere, que el mundo se reinicia.

Todos vuelven a aparecer en la ceremonia de entrada, todo el mundo está confundido sobre que paso, pero creen que es un milagro, un sueño o algo así.

Mientras todos hablan sobre que podría estar pasando Kalim se acerca a Riddle y lo aconseja para que esta vez intente arreglar las cosas con Ume, ya que sabe lo mucho que sufrió por su muerte

Lo cual muchos creen que es una buena idea, ya que con todo lo visto en el futuro, era más que claro que Yuu los había hecho pasar por idiotas a todos los presentes y era muy probable que Ume nunca haya cometido ningún crimen en contra de Yuu y Grimm.

Si tan solo Riddle supiera de qué diablos están hablando.

Literalmente, se les queda viendo a todos como si estuvieran enfermos o les hubiera crecido una segunda cabeza.

Riddle, Yuu, Grimm y Ume son los ÚNICOS que regresaron sin ningún recuerdo de lo ocurrido en el  pasado/futuro.

Se hace una reunión de todo ser vivo (y no tan vivo) que sea parte de la escuela, únicamente excluyendo a los que no saben de la regresión, para discutir que pudo haber causado tal suceso y el cómo evitar que las desgracias futuras paren.

Se llegó a la conclusión de que, de alguna forma, Riddle es la razón de que regresaron y cada vez que el muera de forma horrible o infeliz regresaran a la ceremonia de entrada.

Dicha hipótesis fue comprobada (tristemente) más de una vez ¿Quién hubiera imaginado que un Overblot realmente puede matar a una persona? ¿O que realmente se puede morir por el corazón roto? (Leona acepta la culpa de esa mala decisión, aunque le gustaría que dejaran de reclamar por eso)

De ahí en adelante es un esfuerzo grupal entre casi todos los alumnos de NRC para evitar que Yuu gane algún tipo de popularidad y tratar de juntar románticamente al pequeño tirano rojo junto con Ume.

Riddle no entiende nada.

¿Por qué insisten tanto que DEBE de llevarse bien con una de las chicas sin magia que llegaron por accidente?

Ocurre todo su desastre del Overblot, por mucho que quisieran detenerlo, es necesario para su desarrollo de personaje.

Una cosa graciosa es que ni Riddle ni Ume saben esconder su enamoramiento, son tan obvios que es doloroso de ver.

El día que nuestra pequeña reina decide confesarse, la escuela se divide literalmente en varios equipos para asegurarse de que dicha confesión ocurra sin ningún problema.

Los equipos más importantes (y cansados al final del día) son los que se encargan de ayudar activamente a Riddle, el que hace que Ume llegue sana y salva al punto de encuentro y el equipo que se encarga de evitar que Yuu intente arruinar la confesión.

Al final de alguna forma hay un Riddle empapado junto con un ramo de rosas destrozado, una Ume cubierta en tierra, hojas y (por alguna razón) plumas de pavo real, junto con lo que parece ser un Grimm envuelto en una camisa de fuerza improvisada.

Todo el estrés de Riddle se va de su cuerpo cuando Ume se empieza a reír y toma una de las pocas rosas intactas que quedan en el desastre de ramos que hay en sus manos.

Solo los siete grandes saben cómo, pero ese día se une una nueva pareja en NRC y es más que razón para celebrar.

Ahora solo les queda encontrar una forma de evitar que Yuu meta su nariz en dicha relación.

So I had this thought that I want your opinion about for your Little Misfortune Yuu? So I didn’t know what version of Yuu that was until I found out about the game and who “Little misfortune” is and might I say…poor her 🥺.

Anywho when I did the Halloween event for twisted wonderland, spoilers cause I’m new and don’t know if you kept up with the event, but I thought of how Mr Voice has those powers he has and that the little girl didn’t know he had them at first until the end ish of the game. I thought of how he would definitely reveal his powers if a “Magicam Monster” makes Yuu uncomfortable or cry even and the boys wouldn’t know how to cheer them up. But instead of Yuu discovering his powers, the twst boys do and sees that he is definitely real and actually terrifying than how Yuu would describe him at first.

This was stuck in my head for so long and I just want your opinion about it like how would you think Yuu would react to the Halloween event and whether or not Mr.Voice uses his powers to protect or get revenge for Yuu and then everyone is probably like “HES REAL?!?!” Or something. You don’t have to reply to this ask but I just liked the story behind “Little misfortune” and thought this seemed cool.

Since Yuu’s already grown up in the Little Misfortune AU and was adopted by Mr. Voice a long, long time ago after they died (or not, depending on your headcanon), I like to believe that they already knew Mr. Voice had powers that could affect their reality. How else would Yuu still have a piece of their child-like innocence and cheer if not for Mr. Voice giving them the hope and optimism they need in a world that’s so determined to bring them down?

In short, Yuu is aware of Mr. Voice’s power and is chill about it. Sometimes they even ask for small things from Mr. Voice (just like how a child would ask their parents for allowance), like wanting ice cream and ‘coincidentally’ a bird flies and lands on Yuu’s shoulder with a packet of ice cream they stole from some unfortunate soul. Of course, they never take advantage of their pseudo-parent’s powers because they were raised right by him. Don’t be too greedy, but also don’t be too selfless, is what he says. For an entity who steals children’s souls away as a job, he’s actually a pretty good parental figure.

Anyway, yeah, Mr. Voice would definitely reveal his powers against the Magicam Monsters if the Magicam Monsters go too overboard. And by overboard, I meant when Yuu becomes too uncomfortable/upset that they actually ask for Mr. Voice to get the intruders to stop. Mr. Voice usually doesn’t butt into Yuu’s business and often just tries to narrate to give Yuu a memorable adventure because he knows Yuu can take care of themselves (and they have been taking care of themselves ever since they were a child because they’re a strong, independent human) but it’s a whole different story when Yuu asks him for help.

Mr. Voice won’t hesitate to bend reality and kick the Magicam Monsters out by whatever means necessary. Hecc, he might even show up in Ramshackle in his Morgo form but like, not fully because his true form reminds me of Papyrus from Undertale and Papyrus looks as threatening as a pebble. Or Skeletor (Imagine Mr. Voice insulting others like how Skeletor insults people.) . Maybe he’ll make himself look scarier or not, who knows.

He probably spawns outside of Ramshackle, all gigantic and menacing and does that ‘giant eye looking inside through the window’ thing before proceeding to rip Ramshackle open and flinging the intruders out and then fixing Ramshackle up again, good as new without a single thing out of place.

All the while, Yuu’s visibly happy and cheers a bright, “Mr. Voice! You look really spooky, hehe. Are you gonna be celebrating Halloween with us?”

“Why, of course, my little nightmare. Don’t I already look the part for it?”

“Hmm, yeah! Very scary! But you’re too big. I don’t think you can walk around like that.”

“Not to worry, little misfortune.”

And with that, Mr. Voice shrinks down to an acceptable size but he still pretty much towers over everyone. Yuu proceeds to take their pseudo-parent around and introduce him to their friends. Meanwhile the boys, some of those who witnessed a monstrous thing ripping into Ramshackle earlier and yeeting the Magicam Monsters away from afar and to those who were present when that specific event happened, are acting all polite because they do not want to mess with that. 

By the Sevens, Yuu, that’s your dad?! That’s Mr. Voice???

this story………….. certainly was a story. full of things i didnt like and things i did like. help

tsumugi uses knights to encourage students to use the library more, while knights makes up for their kidnapping ways during the main story by doing this good public image deed. izumi is izumi. arashi is arashi. tsukasa is there, struggling. ritsu sleeps. sora and mitsuru are cute. natsume is lonely but wont admit it, and is a little mad that tsumugi didnt inform natsume of his plans. makoto is also simply there, and also struggling.

it turns out makoto still has good memories of izumi(?) around a certain picture book, which makes izumi happy. good for them…

Gonna ramble more about Twst underneath the cut

Since we’re on the countdown leading up to Halloween, I wanted to talk more on the subject of my Yuu’s fear of all things horror-related since, while I did mention it in my post about the first Halloween event, I didn’t go into a lot of detail about it.

For starters, before Mumei started punishing her with horror movie marathons so he could scare the hell out of her and laugh at her expense, Yuu wasn’t originally as scared of horror movies as she is now.

She was still the easily scared type, but she could survive watching a horror movie without being too worse for wear. 

Now, however, thanks to Mumei, Yuu’s fear is to the point where she will quickly change the channel if she sees even a horror movie trailer playing. She can’t even handle that, let alone a whole movie.

So, if anyone were to try to get her to watch a horror movie, Yuu would be quick to refuse. She wouldn’t try to suffer through it for the sake of watching it with her friends.

She would feel bad about doing this, but she does not wanna deal with the nightmare aftermath, especially when she lives in a haunted dorm. 

A haunted dorm that took her a while to get used to because of her fear. While she was able to eventually get used to the ghosts because of their cute/cartoonish appearances, the whole atmosphere of the dorm still had her on edge for a good while.

Thankfully, once she began cleaning up the dorm, it started looking less scary, so she was eventually able to become comfortable with her new home.

That said, Yuu still gets easily spooked by the ghosts because she’s the easily startled type and is horrible with jump scares. You’d think someone who’s good at reading others and isn’t the type to let her guard down wouldn’t have this kind of problem, but this is just a weakness of hers she can’t overcome despite her best efforts. 

The Ramshackle ghosts do try to be more considerate of her once they see how easily startled she is cause they do feel a little bad for her, especially since she always makes the effort to be nice/polite toward them despite her fear.

In regards to who else knows about her fear, it’s not really a secret that Yuu is easily startled since everyone bears witness to this fact at some point or another.

However, not everyone knows that she’s bad with horror movies and is easy to scare with horror. Originally, it’s just Grim and the Ramshackle ghosts who know but Ace and Deuce find out once Yuu makes it clear that she doesn’t want to watch horror movies whenever they have movie nights at Ramshackle.

While Deuce is nice enough to accept this and has no intention to press the matter cause he thinks it would be wrong to force a girl to watch something that clearly makes her uncomfortable, Ace always gives her a hard time about it cause he loves scary movies, so he often teases her about being a scaredy-cat.

Yuu gets mildly annoyed with Ace’s teasing, but she doesn’t really rebuke him because she agrees that she’s a scaredy-cat. She doesn’t recognize her fear as the trauma that it is and instead just sees herself as being pathetic for always being so easily scared.

However, Yuu does eventually get fed up with Ace when, during one of the nights when he comes over to watch a movie with her and Grim, he tries to force her to watch a scary movie by pretending it’s a completely different kind of movie that they’ll be watching.

While Ace is a good liar, he’s not good enough to fool Yuu who has become very good at reading her best friends/sons, so she quickly catches onto his scheme and tries to leave the living room, intending to leave him to watch the movie with Grim.

When Ace tries to drag her back to the couch because he thinks she’s being ridiculous and a bad host, she loses her patience with him and promptly flips him over her shoulder onto the couch lol

After calling him out for being a jerk, Yuu heads for her room while Grim laughs at Ace’s misfortune. 

Thankfully, the two don’t remain at odds for too long since the ghosts talk to Ace about Yuu’s fear, pointing out how it’s more than just her being a scaredy-cat. 

Even though she has never admitted as much, the ghosts are observant enough to know this is a serious matter for Yuu, so they don’t think Ace should treat it lightly, not if he truly cares about her/respects her as a friend.

After talking with them, Ace, while he would never admit it, does start to feel a little guilty, so he temporarily leaves Ramshackle to buy some snacks from the school vending machine and goes back to his dorm to grab a different movie for them to watch.

While he doesn’t outright apologize to her when he later goes to her room, Yuu can tell the apology is implied when Ace gives her snacks that she likes, so she forgives him and agrees to watch the new movie he picked out with him and Grim.

From then on, Ace doesn’t give her as much of a hard time about her fear of horror, but he’ll still tease her about it cause that’s just how he is lol

Jamil is the only one who knows about Yuu’s fear of horror and the actual reason behind it, so if he and Kalim get invited for a movie night at Ramshackle along with several other students and many people show an interest in watching a horror movie, he’ll hang out with Yuu to keep her company since she’s fine with the others watching those movies as long as she doesn’t have to watch.

Jamil could care less whether or not he watches the movie. Just as long as Kalim is sufficiently entertained and not causing trouble, Jamil’s okay with whatever but would likely enjoy Yuu’s tranquil company over dealing with everyone getting worked up over a movie.

However, if the scary movie involves bugs, Jamil is quickly having himself and Yuu exit the living room and making sure they are as far away from that room as possible lol

So anyone who would be invited over for the group movie nights would find out about Yuu’s fear of horror. Thankfully, no one gives her a hard time about it. There’s some teasing, but the main person who does it is Ace. 

While Idia doesn’t go to those movie nights for obvious reasons, he does have movie nights in his room when it’s just him, Ortho, Yuu, and Grim, and because he likes horror movies, that subject does eventually get brought up.

Since Yuu’s always respectful of his personal boundaries, Idia wouldn’t ever force her to watch anything that makes her uncomfortable. However, he does think it’s a shame that she can’t appreciate some of the greatest movies he knows like Creepy Hollow.

(Because of Idia, Yuu actually knows about Creepy Hollow unlike almost everyone else at NRC since that’s something he starts gushing about to her when Halloween begins to approach. She thinks it’s cute how excited he gets about the movie.

Of course, this only happens in the game event timeline since the events don’t always seem to fit into the story timeline. Following the story timeline, Yuu hasn’t met Idia yet since she doesn’t meet him until winter break, but because the events seem be in a timeline of their own, I’m gonna say that Yuu is friends with Idia for the Halloween event. )

That’s why Idia tries to find movies that Yuu could handle and does a lot of thinking on the matter with Ortho’s help since surely there are some movies that Yuu could handle and possibly even enjoy.

After some brainstorming, Ortho proposes the type of thriller movies that have some kind of mystery in the plot. Because Yuu loves a good mystery, she might be so engrossed in solving it that the scary aspects of the movie might not affect her.

Idia thinks it’s worth a shot, so they both suggest the idea to Yuu who’s willing to give it a shot since she can’t ever turn down a good mystery despite her reservations when anything horror-related gets brought up.

Thankfully, Ortho’s theory was spot on since the movies the brothers find for her don’t end up scaring Yuu nearly as much as she expected. Instead, because she’s so caught up in trying to solve the mysteries, she basically tunes out most of the scary stuff.

Yes, she’ll still get startled by jump scares, but it’s not enough to make her wanna stop watching since she’s invested in the mystery.

Plus, it also helps that for anything really scary one of the brothers will cover her eyes since that alone does a great job of minimizing the fear impact.

(I could see Yuu eventually watching Creepy Hollow with the brothers since they could cover her eyes if necessary. Plus, considering it’s a B-rated movie, it’s likely not too terribly scary. And the movie is likely mostly spent with Idia excitedly chattering about it so that would be a great distraction from anything that’s remotely scary lol)

The Shroud brothers are very proud of themselves for this great accomplishment. Idia probably also feels a little smug cause the Ramshackle Prefect might not be able to watch scary movies with the other normies but she can do it at Ignihyde no problem~ lol

(Also, I will add that movies that have a lot of blood, gore, death, etc. don’t really bother or scare Yuu since she has seen a lot of horrible stuff during her time in the underworld, so she’s almost desensitized to it. However, she will tear up over animal/child deaths and the deaths of the characters she ends up getting attached to.

So what really scares her about horror movies are the jump scares and the villains of said movies as well as the whole creepy atmosphere if that makes sense. Also, the whole experience just makes her think of Mumei since in the past she only ever had to watch these movies because of him, so it just brings back bad memories.

It impresses a lot of the guys how Yuu can be completely unfazed by all the violence. It’s amazing in a sense that she won’t flinch at that but will at any jump scare that appears on the screen even if she knows they’re coming lol)

As I mentioned in the post about the first Halloween event, Yuu’s fear of horror doesn’t negatively affect her feelings about Halloween since she likes the idea of dressing up and giving out candy to people.

Halloween costumes overall wouldn’t really affect her in the daylight since it’s obviously just people wearing costumes rather than anything she needs to be afraid of. Overall, I’d say it would be difficult to really scare her when the sun’s up unless you’re surprising her. 

Even at nighttime, she wouldn’t be scared unless the costume was genuinely scary and/or the overall atmosphere was spooky. So, if things begin to feel horror movie-like, it’s all over for her poor heart lol

So, for the most part, the only time Yuu gets scared during the first Halloween event is when someone surprises her, but once she takes a minute to recover, she’s all good.

However, things would be slightly different during the second Halloween event because, when she finally wakes up, she finds herself in a room filled with ghosts, not to mention the fact that the first thing she sees is Ace hovering over her prone position in his Halloween costume.

When she first sees Ace, Yuu definitely gets startled, not enough to scream since she recognized his voice as she was waking up, but she definitely makes a startled noise before complaining about him giving her a heart attack, which he retorts that she did the same thing to him first lol

During the party in the ghost realm, Yuu would be slightly apprehensive dealing with all those ghosts. She’s used to ghosts by now, but these are ghosts she doesn’t know so she can’t help but be a little tense. It usually takes her a little while to get used to ghosts enough not to feel nervous around them.

Still, she does her best to be cordial around them cause she can tell they truly mean no harm and just want to have fun for Halloween. 

Thankfully, Yuu gets constantly distracted by all her friends so she deals more with them than she does the ghosts. As a result, she’s able to have a good time in the end.
