Felix asking ‘better?’ when Oliver throws up in the maze and telling him he thinks he should go to bed, literally moments after telling Oliver he makes his blood run cold. Like he’s still looking out for him, despite everything. He can’t help it! 😭

Hardware
(( Another 'Little Moment' for the books! Tamora sends Felix on a mission to the grocery store, but will he be up to the task? )) ----- “Eoh-boy…” Felix briefly removed his hat to scratch his head.
In front of him was only a small sampling of what the ‘Feminine Care’ section the local grocery store had to offer. He glanced left and right at rows upon rows of products; different brands, different applications, sizes...how could he not help but feel a little overwhelmed?
It also didn’t help that Tamora had been vague. Now that he thought of it, it was likely on purpose; she did love to bewilder him so.
But the handyman figured if he’d asked her the favor of picking up some hardware he needed, his gal would be just as lost as he was at this very moment. And there would be no shame in asking for some simple clarification…
“Hey, babe,” he could hear her smirk on the other end of the phone. “How’s it going?”
“I think you know how it's going,” Felix chuckled. “You’ve left me high and dry.”
“Is anyone else in the aisle with you?”
“There are a couple of ladies trying hard not to laugh, and there was another lost soul like me earlier… I think he went AWOL.”
“And you’re still standing your ground,” Tamora puffed with amusement. “I’m impressed.”
“Is the bar that low?” Felix frowned as he inspected a pack of tampons before placing them back on the shelf.
“It is,” the sergeant said with a wistful sigh. Finally, she’d found a partner who could empathize with that fact.
“Well, just tell me what hardware you need, and I’ll be sure to get it for you,” there was a long pause before a booming laugh made him jump.
“Hardware?” Tamora snorted. “Is that how your handy brain is making sense of everything?”
“Yes, it is…” Felix tittered, embarrassed. He hadn’t realized he’d said that word out loud. “Please be kind, I’m new to this.”
“No, that’s really great,” the sergeant laughed a little more. “I love it. I’ll end your suffering and send you a picture of what I usually get.”
“Thank you,” the handyman smiled. “Should I buy you some ice cream while I’m here?”
“...I love you,” that was a resounding yes.
“Love you too,” Felix chuckled. “I’ll be home soon.”
Ending the call, the handyman locked eyes with the lost gentleman he had seen earlier. With a reassuring smile, he gave the stranger a polite nod, lingering as he awaited his gal’s text.

ben and callum really do feel stronger and closer than ever right now to me. the way they gravitate towards one another in almost every scene, even in little background moments like today, is so lovely to see. always holding hands or interlinking their arms, forehead or hand kisses, reassuring touches - they’re so close and tactile with each other. intimate in a different way than before. seeking each other out for comfort more than ever. and the communication as well omg. especially ben has never been this repeatedly open and honest. because he knows he doesn’t have to fear the repercussions. because callum has proven time and time again lately that he’s not going anywhere and is committed to supporting ben. and callum is listening and trying to understand, giving ben room and not expecting too much from him. just looking at their relationship this is definitely their healthiest, strongest era yet and i love that

some more thoughts about Andromeda's conservatorship:
their conservator has legal ownership of them and everything they represent. it started off as them becoming their guardian when they were itty bitty, but after a bad episode that was unfortunately public, they were coaxed into the conservatorship they're currently in. it wasn't a huge change honestly though because they were already used to being so restricted in everything they do. they're EXTRAORDINARILY sheltered, and not just in a "you haven't had to experience bad things" way.
I think their conservator/guardian is a normal dude when they're not working with Andro. they have a husband and some fur babies, nieces and nephews they love very much, and are all-around seen as a charitable, good person by the media, although as reclusive as Andromeda themself is. they've compartmentalized their mistreatment of Andromeda. Andromeda is a brand, a thing, they aren't a person to them anymore- maybe they were in the beginning, but certainly not now. they make their job "easier" by thinking of Andromeda less as someone with needs and more of a checklist minimum of things they have to accomplish in order to maintain the brand by keeping the icon compliant.

// Ladybug thought she had had everything handled; it was only when the blond cousin revealed his true nature that she realized she'd tied up the wrong one!
Ladybug thought she had had everything handled; it was only when the blond cousin revealed his true nature that she realized she'd tied up the wrong one!
'Damn it, Félix!' Ladybug exclaimed. 'Why didn't you say anything earlier?'
'I was curious as to why you needed my cousin so desperately as to kidnap him,' he replied from his position slung over her shoulder, still bound by her yo-yo, looking as infuriatingly calm as ever. 'You know if you just asked him that he'd go anywhere with you, Marinette. Besides, he's in London right now.'
Ladybug growled and put him down on his feet, recalling her yo-yo as she pinned her boyfriend's cousin with a glare. She was tired, and now that she got a proper look at him, he was obviously in his pyjamas with bed head, making his hair look more like Adrien's. She knew Adrien was in London, but as she swung past him earlier, he looked too much like Adrien that Ladybug couldn't help but take the opportunity to rescue what she thought was her boyfriend, too exhausted to think straight and realise it wasn't him.
'You know perfectly well why I'd go to such drastic measures,' Ladybug retorted. 'Speaking of; why did you decide that a theatre performance was the best way to tell me everything? Why didn't you and Kagami just talk to me? Preferably before Adrien was forced to leave Paris?'
'That's the way Kagami wanted to tell you,' Félix admitted, 'but I thought that the most optimum way of delivering all the information was through a storytelling medium - we figured that us performing the story would hold your attention long enough to give us a chance to make you listen to what we had to tell you.'
'Well, it did work,' Ladybug conceded, 'but I also thought I had dreamt the entire thing and struggled to put it all together. But that doesn't answer the question of why you two didn't tell me earlier.'
'Rehearsals,' answered Félix with a light shrug. 'Kagami is wonderful, but a theatre major she is not.'
'How did you convince Kagami to perform, anyway?' she asked curiously, before shaking her head to refocus. 'Ugh, tell me later. Anyway! So - Gabriel Agreste is Monarch, and you and Adrien are both part-sentimonster?'
'Correct on both counts,' he confirmed.
'And does Adrien know about any of this?' she pressed.
'To my knowledge, no,' said Félix.
Ladybug groaned. Poor Adrien was being left in the dark about, well, everything. 'Why didn't you tell him all this?'
'We couldn't risk it,' Félix answered. 'Gabriel still has possession of Adrien's amok, and therefore has control over Adrien. Telling him could jeopardise everything, including any advantage we have to defeat my uncle.'
Ladybug nodded thoughtfully. Unfortunately, Félix was right. But sooner or later, Adrien deserved to know.
'Fine,' she agreed, 'but as soon as Monarch is defeated, you have to tell Adrien everything. And you won't disappear on him like you did with me - you stay with him and answer every question he has for you, and you will comfort and support him so that he can come to terms with the bombshells you'll be dropping on him. This is your shared history - I can't be the one to tell him. Got it?'
Félix grumbled, pouting. 'I was hoping maybe that you-'
'No,' she immediately cut him off. 'Not me - you. Copy?'
He sighed. 'Fine. Now, can you take me back? I'm kinda cold.'
Ladybug shot him a deadpan look.
'You and I both know you can transform into Argos and get yourself home,' she retorted.
'But you're the one who kidnapped me,' he fired back, smirking playfully.
'I wasn't- I was trying to save Adrien-' she blustered, before sighing. 'I'm too tired for this.'
'Maybe you need some melatonin if you're struggling to sleep?' Félix suggested.
'What I need is to stop my father-in-law from destroying the universe and for him to let my husband freely live his life,' Ladybug muttered dully. After a moment, her own words registered in her mind and her eyes widened. 'I- I mean- to stop Gabriel and- boyfriend not husband-'
Félix laughed lightheartedly. 'I understood, don't worry... cousin-in-law.'
'Go home, Félix!'

"I Love You"
(( Kicking back into writing with another Little Moment, which can be viewed as a precursor to another fic I wrote called 'Impromptu'! This one's the hurt, with the comfort coming (hopefully) soon.)) ----
Those three words made Tamora’s blood run cold. Her heartbeat elevating, she ripped her hand away from Felix’s, watching his cheerful smile fade away when he realized what he’d just said.
“Don’t—” the sergeant shook her head slowly, distancing herself from the handyman. “Don’t say things you don’t mean.”
“But, Tammy, I do mean it,” Felix reached forward, looking hurt. “I love—”
“No!” she cut him short. “If you knew me…If you really knew me, you wouldn’t be saying that.”
Tamora’s legs buckled underneath her as terrible memories came flooding back, haunting her; telling her she shouldn’t go down this road twice.
“You don’t know what I’ve been through,” she sobbed. “You don’t know the things I’ve done.”
Felix’s gentle hand cupped her cheek, wiping the stream of tears away.
“Tammy, I already know about Brad... I’m so sorry.”
She looked up at his mournful face with shock.
“W-who? Who told you?”
“Kohut, on day one,” the handyman flashed a guilty smile. “It was your story to tell, so I was waiting for you to open up to me. I realize that may have been a mistake…Maybe it would have been better if you knew that I knew.”
His lady had gone silent, making him anxious.
“B-but I knew this whole time,” he continued. “And I stayed…What happened to Brad doesn’t define you, Tammy. That’s not the end of your story. I’m right here…and I care about you; I want you to be happy. I want to help—”
“Stop,” Calhoun bristled with anger, standing up. “Just stop. You talk a big game, Fix-It, but you can’t fix people!” “Tamora,” Felix looked like he’d been punched in the stomach. “T-that’s not what I—I never said—”
“You knowing changes nothing… It just shows me I was someone you pitied. Poor, tragic, broken Tamora. Time to swoop in with my magic hammer and fix her right up. She’ll forget all about Brand and everything will be hunky-dory.”
As she ranted, she slowly backed the handyman towards the door out of her barracks. By the end, his eyes were wide, with his back flush with its metal surface.
“You know that’s not true,” Felix’s hurt expression took an angry turn. She figured that if he truly had loved her before, he certainly didn’t now.
“Get out,” she growled, and the handyman obliged, his face twisting with every negative emotion as he left.
And with his absence, immediate regret fell onto Calhoun’s shoulders. But it was too late. She had said all those awful things; and for what reason? Because she was scared? Because he withheld information? Because she knew deep down…she loved him too.
Nothing was more terrifying to Tamora than the thought of losing another person she loved. Felix may be out of her life, but at least he was alive. It was better this way.
Wasn’t it?
