you guys remember that time my dad killed my pet and then blamed me for it lol
#i still miss jpeg so fucking much#i remember for weeks after he died i would turn on his light in the morning and forget that he wasn’t there to greet me and it was so awful#remembering he was dead every single morning#and every few days i would put a little plant food in the tank and it was such a fucking gut punch every time#bc the cycle was disrupted now. nothing was working like how it was supposed to bc he wasn’t there anymore. those plants that lived off him#for months were the only thing i had left of him#and he told me at one point after he died ‘next time you get a betta you have to take care of it’ like FUCK YOU I DID! I FUCKING DID!#i cycled the tank and i fed him and i kept tabs on the water levels and i did all his water changes and i told my dad when he started#getting sick bc i wasn’t able to get medicine myself! and he tried to fucking gaslight me into believing that i was delusional!#bc he didn’t want to admit that he was wrong! and he refused to fucking do anything about it to the point where i was scrambling for people#i knew who could drive to take me to the fish store and get medicine#and then he fucking died! he died when i was at school and my dad just flushed him down the toilet#and he told me in the most insensitive way possible#and he tried going ‘im sorry i didnt listen to you’ or whatever like sorry’s not going to fucking cut it you killed my fucking pet#and then he went right back to blaming me for it#and then after he died my brother told me that he’d asked my dad about jpeg one time and he SAID that he was pretty much a goner#he fucking KNEW he was dying and still refused to do anythign??? for what fucking reason? bc he couldn’t admit he was ever wrong? bc he#wanted to watch me suffer?#and then for weeks i was taking care of an empty tank#bc the plants in his tank were the only thing left of him#and i couldn’t let them just sit and wither away bc that’s what i did with jpeg and i couldn’t just watch him die again#and then i moved his plants into the other 40gal and i had to look at the way the other fish ignored jpeg’s favourite anubias#and i had to take down his tank and wash all the rocks and driftwood and pack it all back up and then he was gone for real#jpeg was the first thing i was really proud of and my dad had to fucking take it from me#rambles#vent#pet death

Working food service has wreaked absolute havoc on my self esteem. Not how you think though. I get so many compliments every day. I don't know how I'm supposed to keep my ego in check when two different entirely unrelated customers cheered when they saw me today. I've always been told that working retail or food service is the quickest way to learn to despise humanity, but all I have learned is that I am everyone's specialist little boy. I am the restaurant's favourite princess. The customers literally applaud when they see me. This is great. How am I ever supposed to have a normal self image again.

Now, I have to find a new job with a more stable/consistent full-time hours. Because this 2-day-work-a-week thing isn't going to do much for my bills and rent. Just received a group text of my boss alerting us this "update", until the "peak" season (holidays) comes in. (they hired like 30 other people so...yay)

Ah... How I wish to see an MMORPG/Oblivion-like with good art direction *Gazes longingly*
#It's an understandable tradeoff and technically the final fantasy one and wow are well made graphically and all that#BUT I MEAN MOODY#WITH GOOD ART DIRECTION#Like stuff where it's clearly designed to make you feel like you're a small part of a large world instead of focusing on the coding side#which is understandable if you make any large scale project like that#But dang man#If Oblivion just had like#A bit more love put into it#some funky ass shaders#Permanent odd fog#The feeling that you're walking through lived places#And like some wider variations of races and stuff to role play as#Then I would kiss that game on the head#Don't look at me Elder scrolls stop not being an rpg which is more a mod playground than anything#Especially when you take most of the npcs into consideration like come on#It'd be so cool to have some use out of talking to npcs and living in the world instead of going from place A to B for quests#Like it's a meme pretty much how pressing rumors does nothing#It's obviously a product of the process with it all but it'd be so cool to ask an npc about what they do for a living#And they show you around or something to give you a greater intrigue to their homes#Maybe you ask a fisher what their story is and you go on a little fishing trip or it cuts away to you two having a drink about it#And he just talks and talks about how his life has been and then asks you what you've got going on and then you could build character!#It'd be so cool to see that with strong art direction!#Oogling and boogling with my eyes at the idea#But it's difficult so lets hope a dedicated group of people get to it with love for it#Me that is me I want to do that#shenanigans

#i want this movie to be a massive raging success more than anything#but my faith is so low#halle bailey is flawless this is not about her she's a star#she'll be the source of all redeeming qualities#but you can't egregiously violate the 90 minute rule and cut the goofy fun parts#the album drop today was fine#imo the perfect version would've been live action sea and mermaids but all animated fish#think penguins in mary poppins#the little mermaid is irreverent and this seems to be taking itself too seriously#what are they gonna use those 40 minutes for if theyre cutting songs!!#imagine the fish popping to animated life out of real coral#this is all over the place but i need to spare the people in my life these feelings
