I tell myself to stop
Stop
“You’ve been alive all these years
You know better now”
But I’m still stuck

Why is it so easy

Lifeswap Alya! (you'll get Nino in a bit)
Alya doesn't run the Ladyblog. Instead she runs the Bug-Cast, a podcast covering Ladybug and Chat Noir's exploits. As well as talking to the akuma victims about what they experienced and theorizing about the miraculous.
Since Ladybug came onto the scene in all of her magical girl glory, Alya has been the number one advocate. She admires the girls confidence and determination and decided to devote her time to chronologically recording all of the miraculous incedent's in Paris.
Alya is more focused on research and entertainment so she tries to stay away from the akuma fights if possible. After all, there are plenty of other witnesses she can ask later, ones who might not get to tell their story on larger news broadcasts. Or ones too scared to reveal their identity post being akumatized. Alya's podcast format and mostly anonymity from going by 'Miss-Red' online, lets victims feel more comfortable talking about it.
Only Marinette and Nino are aware that Alya is Miss-Red. Later Adrien, as Chat Noir, also finds out.
She picked Marinette up because she saw this poor anxiety ridden girl and said "honey. chill." Alya's easy going attitude is a nice ballance for Marinette's livewire personality. She also is new, and doesn't really carry the (deserved) prejudice against Luka that everyone else does. So she's more willing to put up with him for the first and second season.
As Rena Rouge, Alya is a stone cold badass, prone to hanging back and playing tricks on her adversaries, often leading them to cause their own downfall. Ladybug and Chat Noir will sometimes give her the miraculous for the sake of letting her investigate Hawkmoth. This becomes a permanent arrangement when the guardianship transfers.
Also her design and some of her personality is based on The Question *cough*
Bonus- Fully Colored Rena Rouge

I appreciate most of your takes but don't understand how you look at a character like livewire, a character created in the middle of a 90's feminist movement and come to the conclusion she's supposed to a be a caricature of classical racist conservatism
?? huh is this an elaborate joke I'm missing out on?? Like you're roleplaying as a Shockateer? There's no tone indicators so I'm left to my own perception that you're being serious so I'll have to respond in seriousness. I'm gonna be so embarrassed if this is a joke :(((
So...just because a character is made "in the middle of the 90's" or "feminist movement" doesn't...mean they're a feminist character? Like with that logic, Tana Moon is a feminist icon I guess. Also "caricature of classical racist conservatism"? man, I kinda envy how people think the way I write her is Cartoony Evil Racism and not a toned down depiction of how personalities like Posie Parker, Matt Walsh, and Blaire White talk. I suppose I'm glad you haven't encountered anyone that awful. Good for you! 👍
Livewire meta under the cut fellas
I feel like you don't have a very holistic view of Livewire's character. Because while yes, she has been used for feminist critique in the show and comics, that's not all there is to her character. My take on Livewire is a commentary on how white womanhood intersects with parasocial internet grifts and the larger way identity gets filtered online. It's a take influenced by how she literally started out as a controversial provocative shock jock in STAS.
Tumblr media
There's so much potential to re-imagine her hatred of Superman as a commentary on how white women feel justified in harassing marginalized men because it looks like a punch-up to misogyny. The way she uses the accident Superman caused as a way to white-woman-victimize herself and prime her audience to hate him more. You can take the spinoff comic where she only lets women speak on the air as her presenting a black and white, non-intersectional view of social progress. Kind of like how TERFs keep fantasizing about a world without men as a utopia? In CW Supergirl, Livewire plays into internalized misogyny and homophobia to jab at Supergirl. Not showing up for her fellow women if you ask me.
Tumblr media
Because while yes, Leslie has been shown to be a character who had to deal with sexism, she's also a really compelling narrative for an imperfect victim. Just because a character deals with sexist hardship, doesn't mean it makes her a feminist ideal y'know? Leslie lashes out and weaponizes her victimhood, she uses her audience to bully others.
Tumblr media
I think one of the flaws to the longevity of her character as a villain is because her narrow hatred of Supes makes her themes short lived. So I really want to expand it through Satoshi Kon-style deconstruction of how people juggle having multiple identities in the modern era. In the (bleh) Batgirl Burnside comic Livewire shows up in, she returns as a being of energy who doesn't remember who she was before. In STAS, it's left ambiguous whether she actually believes what she says about Superman or if it's all part of an act that "pays the bills!".
Tumblr media
Imagine the opportunity to make it so she pieced together a sense of self from the fractured way her audience viewed her! What a great way to talk about how parasocial relationships make us think we know a person from the bombastic way they present themselves (Casually Comics thought of this brilliant take). DCSHG has been the most competent reimagining of Livewire. A perfect update of her shock jock origins into the internet era that revitalizes her attention-seeking traits into the clout-chasing grind of social media personality.
Tumblr media
All this to say, Livewire's way more that just "sassy woman on the radio fighting against The Man!" I think making her a punk appropriating, rebellious, internet personality who uses her privilege to marginalize others for clout and money is a natural, more political progression of what DCSHG built with her character.
I don't really understand how you can look at a character whose most prominent iterations involve her bullying and targeting people (including other women) and tell me she's "feminist" unless you actually believe in Leslie's version of White Woman Girl Power. Any kind of "feminism" that touts Hating Men as a major point should be something to be critical of.

COMIC IDEAS MASTERLIST: ALWAYS UPDATING
Tumblr media
And even when i have enough backlog of ideas, It's either having no time or no motivation ;w;
Ideas that have not been made into comics so far.... (a reminder for KD to actually draw them instead of being a lazy bum)
Fawcett citizens think that marvel has bad eyesight because he squints a lot, Marvel is confused. When they put on glasses on him, his dot eyes opens. This confuses marvel and the citizens even more (explanation: he does his out of instinct from seeing his dad with squinty eyes) based on mutual's post
Guardian Angel
Billy in an electric chair
Bio dad bruce wayne
Silly caller
Crutches
Freddy Freeman Meets Freddy Fazbear
A comic about Captain Marvel being oblivious about the women who's flirting with him, this caused Junior to talk out of his ass "He's still mourning you idiots!", this made people believe that the wife has passwed away and captain marvel hasn't moved on yet, this can lead to a misunderstanding with Black Canary with counseling marvel [Marvel is talking about his mom and how he misses her but BC thought he was talking about his wife]. Mary proceeds to slap Jr because of his impulsiveness
What If the suspendium didn't happen? :The Marvel Family grows up normally, starts with young child reading a book to a grandpa
Billy gets cancelled
Captain Marvel snoring like a dad and Billy snoring (honk mimimimi) based on this post
Mary teaching Billy about Table Manners before meeting her adoptive mother
Mary being invited on the Wayne Gala, Billy and Freddy shenanigans ensued (they thought the wayne kid is hitting on their sister)
Mary Blackmailing Marvel to wear a tiger onesie
Crack comic: Billy Boasting over Superman because he got to join the army as Captain Marvel once but Supes didnt just because of an eye exam failure
Kid Eternity's Birthday
[Needs polish] A scenario after Batman adopted Billy, Billy told Freddy and Mary about it, Freddy has a flashback where he got adopted by rich parents and the snobby high school experience back in Captain Marvel Jr , probably ends with Junior confronting Batman to not send Billy to a hoity toity rich private school
The Marvel Family and how they handle publicity
Freddy picking up Billy's swearing habits "Holey Moley" (continues where the publicity comic ends)
Billy and his Caprisun
Billy and Freddy had a fall out but everyone else interpreted it as Junior undergoing teenage rebellion and proceeded to give the captain parenting advices [Pre Teen Parent Billy]
Post suspendium Billy in the modern DC world shenanigans (1950s boy meets 2000s)
Fawcett Toon Headcanon
Celebrity AU : Billy would post a banger song by accident online (not with his real name of course) and would later monetize it
Movie billy meets Golden Age Comic Billy/Movie Freddy meets Golden Age comic Freddy
The many hairstyles of Freddy Freeman
Captain Marvel vs Big Red Cheese
What if Bruce Wayne is Captain Marvel
The crooks that the Marvel Family caught discuss about how they got caught
Big Brother Billy Batson
Courtney x Billy Batson scenario
A crack Georgia/Freddy fanfiction. Premise: Freddy would sometimes go undercover in his comics, what if the Sivanas had something planning going on? It was odd for their criminal activity to stop for nearly a year. It is now up to Freddy to "betray" his family and gather intel on the Sivanas, perhaps assuming a new identity to pretend to be their lackey. meanwhile Georgia Sivana has a new crush
Fawcett city newsboys
Billy adopts a baby
A supersons Oneshot Comic
Premise: Jon and Damian wanted to see the new Fredbear's pizzeria Movie but the clerk said they're too young to enter. With Jon being 10 and Damian not looking like his age (13).
many shenanigans ensued as they attempt to enter the movie theatre before a new villain who can bring horror movie characters to life appears!
Can the two save the theatre when they're facing against slashers, Chainsaw killers, and a Horror-knockoff of Superman?!
A livewire vs Captain Marvel Comic
Connor had a nightmare where Jon had a zoomer haircut when he grows up

As a Middle Eastern man who grew up reading western comic books, it makes me sad that most online nerd spaces are still hostile towards any person of color who wants to see themselves represented in the media that they love.
Like I said before, I find it odd how nobody cared about Livewire's origin story before My Adventures With Superman, but ever since that show aired nerds will not shut up about her shock jock background and how it's "integral" to her character.
Other shows gave her different origins, and nobody gave a shit. But now all of a sudden her origin story is being treated as this sacred thing by nerds, all because the MAWS team decided to make her a person of color.
I'm so tired of racist assholes always showing up in my asks or comments whenever I say anything positive about Livewire in MAWS.
This show gave its own unique take on all the villains, yet there's no discourse surrounding Silver Banshee not speaking with an Irish accent, or Heatwave being a woman, or Intergang being a group of petty thieves with no connection to Darkseid etc.
Don't like this version of Livewire? Cool, more power to you. But please stop acting like assholes to the people that do.
If me saying nice things about a character you hate hurts your feelings, then you can go ahead and block me.
I didn't come back to Tumblr to argue with terminally online weirdos about capeshit.

Dropping my WIP Wednesday snippet pre-tags today in case I'm not online later.
Here's a bit from the intro scene from my Hanahaki-inspired fic. In this AU, soulmates leave flowers on each other's bodies in place of bitemarks, bruises, and etc.
Henry might've gone a bit mad, but he can’t be bothered to dwell on it. This feeling should be terrifying, it should make him slow down and ask questions. Instead, he leans in for another heated kiss, feeling Alex smiling into it, too.
It is simply impossible to think clearly when the air between them is thrumming with palpable energy. It’s not often that things feel right and good for Henry. Whatever this is, it’s rewriting the narrative he’s lived and breathed by.
(Can the passage of mere hours undo a lifetime of learning?)
He can tell by the look Alex’s face that he’s not alone in this feeling. This beautiful stranger with a honey-smooth voice and lips like a livewire.
The drinks have long since worn off; this isn’t a drunken haze of endorphins.
Maybe it’s one night. Maybe it won’t last. Maybe it’s nothing.
(But right now, Henry thinks, it is absolutely everything.)
Tagging @anincompletelist @wordsofhoneydew @firenati0n @littlemisskittentoes @sparklepocalypse @affectionatelyrs @eusuntgratie @bigassbowlingballhead @meraki-yao @happiness-of-the-pursuit and anyone who'd like an open tag!

non-prime time rate for 300 or 1200 baud for only $5.00 an hour, whatta bargain!
FYI: 300 baud = 300 bits (~30 characters) per second. by comparison, today's 1GB/second high-speed internet is equivalent to 1,000,000,000 (one billion) baud, or 3,333,333 times faster than 1980s high-speed internet

Interview with Livewire Online - My Chemical Romance
Posted November 12, 2003
KM, CC, JS Another thing to add to my "What Punk Isn't" List: being an asshole.
I got into punk rock because I wasn't accepted anywhere else and it was a place where everyone was accepted for who they were and what they wanted to be and to go there and make that a scene thats scary for kids to come to, being elitists about that, just defeats the whole purpose. So don't be an asshole.
LW: This is your 3rd night on the tour? Gerard: Uhh.....4th LW: Ah, ok, so how's it been so far? All: Awesome Ray: It's been cool cause Philly hasn't always been the best but... Frank: Yeah, we've always sucked it up in Philly. Gerard: Yeah, kids aren't too keen on us here but... LW: The first night on this tour was a full house at the 9:30 in DC. How does that compare to he smaller club tour with Piebald? Gerard: Piebald tour was really awesome cause...it wasn't necessarily a full house every night but the nights that it was and the nights that the kids were really good and responsive were almost magical, you know? Frank: It was cool cause there were smaller venues too, so it was more intimate. Ray: There were shows that had 70 people tops, like St. Louis. Mikey: Yeah, that one night there were like 30. Ray: Yeah and still every show was just fun. Less people, but definitely cool. LW: How have people reacted to you guys on this tour so far? Matt: Really good. Gerard: They wanna dance and have fun, you know? Mikey: Yeah, we dig the crowds that wanna have fun. LW: How do you respond to negative criticism? Frank: Bring it! Matt: We actually like it. Gerard: Yeah, especially hecklers, we like hecklers. It gives us more to do... Frank: But if you heckle a band, right? And the band is like, "Ok, why don't you come up and say that?", don't say it when they turn their back. Don't not say anything while they're facing you. That really sucks and you're a pussy. But if you're gonna heckle somebody, heckle them as hard as you would if they fucking talked to you. Ray: Yeah, if you say somethin and we're like, "Come up here and get killed", and you don't do that, like... LW: So Ray, your 80's Session guitar, how reliable is it on the road? Ray: I think in...Charlotte...it fell off the stage and busted in half basically. It probably can be fixed but I haven't gotten around to it. I've been playing Frank's, no, Mikey's SG and I actually like it better. It's a lot lighter but I do miss my Session guitar. LW: Do you guys like to experiment with vintage equipment in the studio that you wouldn't otherwise use on tour? Matt: We haven't had the chance. Gerard: Yeah, we can't afford it. Matt: On the record we did play with one vintage bass but that's about it. Frank: If you wanna, like, let us borrow one for recording feel free to do that. LW: You guys list a lot of 80's bands as influences, what are you into now? Gerard: The same bands. LW: I mean, like recent bands. Matt: Recover, Alkaline Trio Mikey: I like the new Doves a lot, the new Zwan record... Frank: Glassjaw LW: You kinda look like Billy Corgan. Gerard: Actually the very first time we played the Electric Factory, we got a review in Revolver that said I looked like the creepy son of Billy Corgan or something like that. It was a good review though. Mikey: Yeah, you look like how Jakob Dylan looks like his dad, you look like that with Billy Corgan. LW: Jakob Dylan is hotter than his dad so that's sort of a compliment. Mikey: Yeah, it is. Matt: He kept his hair. Frank: Have you seen Bob Dylan lately? They need to whell him out, he's dead. I think he's dead and no one's saying anything. LW: What do you think about your local scene? Gerard: Can't wait to go back to it. Frank: Ahh, Jersey. LW: Where in Jersey are you from? Frank: Newark. LW: Oh, ok. I'm from Cherry Hill. Frank: Oh really? Listen to Bombshelter Productions. They're really good. Gerard: Yeah, we're doing a hall show with Bombshelter... Ray: February 28. Gerard: Yeah, February 28. Frank: Big Wig... Mikey: We're gonna try to do those as many times as possible. LW: Yeah, its fun to see a local band come back and play a show. Gerard: It sucks cause because, it's like we, fuckin like almost wasted away too early in really big shows and we didn't play enough of the halls. Like, I can count on 2 hands probably, the number of halls we played. It sucks. And basements. Our best shows have been at colleges, halls, and basements. We've had a couple great shows on big stages, you know, but that barricade, thats fuckin shit. The fact that we're all 10 feet above... Frank: I dunno how you got through that monitor, dude. I thought I was gonna bust my ass. Ray: Well, I scoped it out before... Gerard: I tested it out before too, but, I was still like, "Fuck this!" Frank: DC was fine, like, it wasn't that far but I still didn't like the barricade. LW: The TLA down on South Street is better. Frank: I wanna play there! Ray: Do they still have barricades up like that? LW: They still have barricades but the stage is lower so you can see everything a lot better. LW: How did you guys get hooked up with Eyeball? Gerard: I had known Alex for years and he made a big policy not to sign friends' bands, and we were friends for years so I didn't think he would sign us but he saw us at like our 3rd show and he was like, "Dude, why don't you just come be part of the family? We can make it work". And we did. And it's pretty cool. LW: This lineup's been together since 2002? Gerard: Yeah, Frankie hopped on right before we recorded the record. Frank: I was in a band that was on Eyeball before. Matt: Yeah, so we used to play together. Gerard: They helped start us. LW: How important are sales stats to you? Do you get any pressure from your label? Frank: Pshhh... Gerard: That's one of the best parts about being on Eyeball: they don't give a shit. We always try to be successful and we want the music out there, that's the most important thing. Like, sound scanning doesn't mean shit to us, anything like stats doesn't mean anything to us. When we get to a venue or a city and we show up and we get on stage and we see all these kids sing along, that's how we know. Ray: Its not like a piece of paper that says 39 or 10 or whatever, it's the kids. Matt: They can all go get if off the internet anyway so why even care, you know? LW: I was going to ask that next. What about the availability of your music on the internet? Frank: Get it however you can! Gerard: I feel that like bands that are really small at the indie level, and labels that are at that level that are struggling, you should support them. Download it, if you like it, go buy it. Ray: Anything though, go to a show and buy some merch. Frank: We'd rather you come see us live. Mikey: I love the artwork, like album covers and the linear notes, like how can you get a stack of cds that say like... Gerard: Sharpieee Frank: I'm such a collector of music that I need the cover art, so I mean, like, go steal it... LW: What are your plans for the next release? Do you have any ideas production or material-wise? Frank: The first song we played... Gerard: The first track that we opened with is pretty much going to be the track that summarizes the whole record. It's a concept about revenge. We're taking March off just to write. We're not going into the studio anytime soon but we have all this music in us from the last 6 months and we wanna get it down so maybe we'll start playin some of this newer stuff out live. We wanna support this record. LW: Are you looking forward to Skate & Surf? All: Yeah! Frank: Oh yeah. Andrew WK! We met him last night. Ray: That was awesome. Frank: He wore tight green sweatpants and flannel and, uh, a big hat. I love that guy. LW: Do you have any other big festivals planned? What else are you doing this year? Gerard: Europe. Reading Festival. Mikey: The one that, like, Oasis always plays. LW: What goals have you accomplished this year? Gerard: Everything we wanted to and more. Frank: We've been so lucky it's not even funny. Gerard: It was me and Mikey's personal goal to play in Irving Plaza. We did that last night...and the night before. Every single goal. To have a record out, we did it, play in front of as many people as possible... Matt: Play Warped Tour Gerard: I think Warped Tour is the only thing left that we all sat around and said, "Hey, we wanna do this." Frank: So as soon as that happens, we're done! Matt: We can just stop. LW: So that's the only major thing left? All: No... Gerard: I dunno what we're striving for. I personally...we're striving to get it out to as many people as possible. Have that energy that we're putting out spit back at us. And to create really great moments when we play instead of us just, "Hey, we're a band you've never heard of, come check us out". I wanna get past that. That's my personal goal. LW: Have you faced any big challenges so far? Gerard: Getting used to touring. I mean that's the hardest thing any band has to do and once they get over that hump and get used to it they can really do whatever they want. I mean, a touring band is the kind of band that reaches people. MP3's don't reach people, getting out there reaches people. LW: As a band, how have you changed since the beginning? Gerard: A lot! Matt: We got Frankie! Frank: I got skinnier, we don't eat on tour. Gerard: [pointing at Ray] He's got an afro now! We got way more violent on stage. We're not trying to bring a violent message...it's not so much violence as a release of positive and negative energy. That causes accidents sometimes. LW: Where do you see yourselves heading in the future? Frank: Creating an MCR universe... Ray: A little MCR world. Gerard: I dunno, doin what we're doin now, touring. Frank: Reaching as many kids as possible and just... Matt: It's hard to tell cause we were just seein this in the near future, and it's hard to even think what's after this. Gerard: Yeah, I dunno what's after this. Frank: You don't know how lucky we've been. We've been together for a year. It's so silly, it's fuckin silly. We're really appreciative. I'm still collecting applications for Burger King... LW: If you had to write a State-of-the-Union-address-style speech about popular music, what would your main points be? Ray: Oh boy. Do it Frankie. Matt: Kill it! Mikey: I mean, there's nothin wrong with pop music. It's all the songs that everyone listens to when nobody's around, you know? Everybody loves that shit, so if you say you don't like it, you're fuckin lying. Everyone loves the new Justin Timberlake song and if you don't you're probably lying. Frank: I'm sick and fucking tired of people not writing their own goddam songs and getting on the radio and pretending like they're...like they know what's up. And, like, I'm tired of all that. I'm tired of bands that totally suck and kids buyin their t-shirts and being like, "Oh, this is what punk is" or "This is what hardcore is". And all these people don't know or care what it's all about or anything like that and I'm really psyched for real music and honest music to come out. Like Thursday. Bands like The Ghost, Sleep Station, Midtown, AFI. Bands that mean it, that have been there, that kids don't even know about and all these bands like Good Charlotte and Sum 41 and all these fuckin shit pop bands out there are influenced by these bands and rip them off. Matt: Or their writers rip them off. Frank: And no one fucking cares. I dunno, I'm really waiting for all this shit to be destroyed and that's one of my goals too. To get up there and if I get 10 kids to not buy Sum 41 cds and actually get into real music, like buy a Refused cd, please. If I can do that, then I'll feel like I've done something. And that's the way I feel about that! LW: Feel better? Frank: Little bit. Yeah. LW: Is there anything else we didn't touch on that you wanna share? Frank: Yes! Support indie scenes, support your local scene, support local bands! Put on a show. Do something. Write a letter to your fuckin asshole president who is bombing innocent people for no reason. Just make a difference. Cause one person can do something. If you just sit back and pretend, like, you know, like, "Oh it's not my problem" or "I can't do anything about it", you're just adding to the bullshit. And don't talk shit about things you don't know about, like, bands like Thursday and Midtown and bands that are comin out that worked their asses off to get stuff. People call them sellouts because they got success. There's a fine line between selling out and success. Don't you think it'd be better to hear Thursday on the radio than Creed? Seriously. This is our scene, all of ours, support it! Don't fuck up venues. Don't be an asshole. It's not punk rock to be an asshole. And another thing. If you go to shows just to kick somebody's ass, you're stupid, you're a jock and you're fuckin ruining everything. I got into punk rock because I wasn't accepted anywhere else and it was a place where everyone was accepted for who they were and what they wanted to be and to go there and make that a scene thats scary for kids to come to, being elitists about that, just defeats the whole purpose. So don't be an asshole. LW: What do you have to say about the bashing that Midtown gets for the whole, uh, thing? Frank: Fuck you! Do you have any clue what happened with that? No! You have no clue dude. Seriously. Not that it's a situation to even be made known, but you don't know what they went through cause it's no one's fuckin business. And trust me. They worked for everything they've gotten.

Can I request G!p daughter of Batman reader x Luise Lincoln (Arkhamverse) and Leslie Willis (DCAU). The reader has a Dark Captain Marvel costume (black and red with helmet) with Carol Danvers esc powers and can duplicate herself, after running into Killer Frost and Livewire, the 3 go back to readers house and film a gangbang in their costumes before posting it online. Luise and Leslie end up coming back to film more, and quit crime to make it their job as a trio with reader. Maybe one of the videos accidentally outs readers identity when she takes off her helmet and they forget to remove that part of the video
Wow ok. I will write it

Gods, you should have seen how giddy I got when Livewire was revealed (especially since I clocked it super early based on the color scheme). I hope she comes back because she is my favorite villain out of Superman's rogue gallery alongside Lex.
Also, Jimmy goes by FLAMEBIRD online and I word-vomited that explanation to my mother who already knew (she's been into comics for a long time) but still let me ramble about the story.

Blood Relatives.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
If she wasn’t keeping track of it herself, nearly every television screen within CatCo Worldwide Media offices blasted a reminder of the significance of this week:
FUNDRAISER TO BE HELD THURSDAY, CELEBRATION PLANNED FOR SUPERGIRL’S FIRST YEAR ANNIVERSARY, a CatCo spokesperson announced.
Kara read the scrolling headline once, twice, three times.
Just about a week prior she was called into Miss Grant’s office, and was nonchalantly told the publication wanted to celebrate her.. Or, rather, Supergirl, and her many and continuing contributions to the safety and wellbeing of National City - and the world as a whole. Kara Danvers wanted to scream, jump up and down in shock, but all she could do was hold her breath as Cat gave her her task: find a venue big enough for a celebration of the sort. Staying within National City was preferred, but given the fact that power and structural damage wasn’t yet completed on the NC Arena after a recent quarrel between Supergirl and the one who calls herself Livewire.. Kara had to look elsewhere for options.
Tumblr media
One stressed phone call to her cousin lead to the conception of an idea within the Man of Steel’s head.. followed by a midnight phone call to his ex (but friendly) girlfriend and coworker Lois Lane. Never was she happy to be awoken during the middle of her deepest sleep, but she answered, and listened to Clark’s request:
“Lo, I’m sorry to wake you so late but I got a favor to ask. . . I need you to announce an exclusive, on-air interview with Superman tomorrow. It’s for Kara.”
Twelve hours later, Lois had the Man of Steel live in studio. Ocean blue orbs stared into the lens, and with a friendly smile Superman spoke to his city - and the nation:
“As some of you may know, this coming week will be an important milestone for my cousin: one year ago next week she took upon the mantle of Supergirl.”
“Are you proud of your cousin, Superman?” Lois - the interviewer - interjected.
Clark Superman knew Lois’s play, and with a nod of thank you, his smile size increased. “Immensely proud, Miss Lane. Putting on our suits and doing what we do is not an easy task; I know you remember just as well as I that I made plenty of mistakes in my first year as this.”
“Years. Plural. I seem to remember a few incidents across a few years.” Lois teased, leading to Superman shaking his head.
“… Not exactly the route I meant to go down to achieve my point, but my point exactly. Being us and doing what we do is not easy, and I have watched my cousin grow and evolve during these months - a year now. She has done stuff not even I have accomplished. If she is listening in right now, I know it would mean more to her to know I feel more jealously of her strengths and accomplishments, than I do of just being proud.”
“Was there anything you wanted to ask of Metropolis, Superman?” Lois guided the interview along.
“Yes. Supergirl and I have come to learn that the cities we are based out of have a tendency to claim us as their own. When it’s meant in jest, we find it flattering. What we don’t like is when people either online or in the media pit us together in a “who’s superior” contest. I want both Metropolis and National City - and frankly, the entire nation - to understand that we are just two people within the same family, with the same goals of striving for a better tomorrow. Metropolis, we should be more welcoming of the Girl of Steel. Which leads me to happily announce that, as of this morning, I have partnered with two wonderful organizations from our mutual cities who are excited to be apart of the upcoming celebration for my cousin. I would like to thank the National City Children’s Cancer Foundation and the Metropolis Children’s Cancer Society for their involvement, and I would like to thank the two anonymous donors who have already donated one million dollars each to the cause. Thank you.”
Tumblr media
Needless to say, it took less than two hours for Metropolis’s finest theater and exhibition hall to get into contact with CatCo… and after a more personal and private family dinner the night previous, Kara Danvers had touched down upon Metropolis grounds.. via private airplane.
She was suppose to be heading to either her hotel room or Clark’s apartment, but somehow her feet carried her to the nearby cafe, choosing an outdoor patio seat as she ordered from a given menu:
“Yeah, can I have the maple sticky bun, please? Uh, two please. I’m kinda hungry. And a mocha latte, please.”

She meets Winn a technological genius who works for Cat Grant. (mainly as her one man IT person)
The two become fast friends and geek out over Winn’s love of technology and superheroes.
The two go out to lunch and as their eating two black vans pull across the street a the bank. The men have rifles and shotguns and storm the bank. Kara rushes off the alleyway to transform into Supergirl.
She bursts through the skyline and takes out the three gunmen in the lobby. Two other men arrive and open fire. Supergirl allows the bullets to bounce off herself. They then turn to the hostages. She moves them from the open fire. And zooms towards them and knocks them off their feet.
Supergirl takes the money and drops it off in the from of the bank where the police are. A small crowd including Winn, gather and look at awe at her. Smile flies away.
Kara enters her apartment later that day and her phone buzzes as she flops onto the couch. It’s Winn. Before she can get a sentence he goes into full on nerd mode about Supergirl and Kara shoved her face in a pillow as he rambles.
Meanwhile, Leslie is on podcast from her south side apartment and she’s ranting and tearing a new into Cat Grant. And mumbles how’s going get her revenge.
The next Morning Kara arrives bright and early and its stopped at the elevator by Cat. Cat tells her how she is the Queen of all Media, and it’s up to date on all things new and fresh. And tells Kara she wants her to get an interview with the Girl of Steel.
Leslie throws flyers around National City for a protest she’s having tonight. A boom of thunder is heard in the background.
Kara is at her desk and has been brainstorming why Supergirl can’t interview Cat. Just as she’s thought of something she finds Winn in Cat’s off showing an online ad for Leslie’s protest. Cat grabs her coat and tells Winn and Kara to follow her.
As they arrive a crowd is gathered around the stage in the heart of the park. Many agree that Cat needs to be and will be dethroned by Leslie.
Cat climbs onstage after some call for her to do it. The crowd get rowdier as the storm starts to grow. Kara is pushed back by the crowd as use this as a chance to change inside a nearby tent.
Cat and Leslie are having a heated debate and Leslie strikes a nerve where Cat tells her she won’t waste time arguing with a child.
Leslie becomes outraged and is set off even more when Supergirl arrives and tells her this isn’t safe for her. Supergirl flies down and tries to get Leslie away from the power lines. Kara grabs on end and lighting strikes them.
Leslie is blasted by it and Supergirl quickly takes her away to a hospital.
Kara feels bad about Leslie and flies to CatCo to meet Cat.
Cat is at CatCo watching the debate from several online sites as well as photos of Supergirl flying Leslie away.
She meets Supergirl and the two have a brief conversation.
Back at the hospital Leslie is stable, but wakes up to everything being different. She touches her heart rate monitor and siphons it’s electricity. She does the same with her TV before causing her room to short circuit. She uses her powers to escape via electrical current.
She returns to her apartment and gains clarity about get her revenge on Cat Grant and Supergirl too.
As Supergirl is about to leave all the lights and computers go out. Car tries her phone and that isn’t working either. Her screen on tablet turns blue and she hears Leslie taunting her.
She warns her that’s she’s sick of her games and a flash of electricity erupts from said tablet and before her is Livewire.
She tells Cat that she’s gotten better at being everywhere at once and fires an electrical current at Cat that Supergirl takes the blast and is thrown through Cat’s doors.
Cat rushes to her but is successful hit with electricity this time and is unconscious. Supergirl rushes at her knocking Livewire through the windows of the building. Livewire and Supergirl fight across rooftops and end up in an unfinished skyscraper.
Livewire tells Supergirl that Cat Grant made Leslie Willis, but Supergirl is responsible for Livewire and she fires a large amount of energy at Supegirl knocking her into a fountain. Running out of juice she tells her next time she’s gonna finish her and Cat off.
Kara rushes into CatCo to find Cat Grant be placed in a ambulance. Winn arrives and asks Kara what happened.
Kara and Winn arrive at her apartment’s rooftop. And Winn is just as concerned and confused as before. Kara takes off her glasses and stands on the edge, she tells Winn to trust her.
Winn crosses w the roof thinking she’s gonna jump but is shocked to find that Kara can fly.
She tells a starstruck Winn that she’s Supergirl. She tells him what happened and Winn’s quiet before telling Kara that she’s a symbol for hope for many people and she can’t save anyone if she believes she can.
The next day Kara visits Cat in the hospital. Cat is working and Kara tells her boss she should be resting. She tells Kara that rest is not something Cat Grant knows how to do.
The two have a rare moment where Cat isn’t so cold, not totally. Kara asks her about Leslie and why she hates her.
Cat not proudly tells her that she was her assistant before she started her podcast. She tells her that the reasons she hired her was because she felt that Leslie was a younger her and just needed a bit of molding. She learned quickly that wasn’t gonna work and it pissed off Leslie. She felt like Cat was trying to ruin her chances to be successful.
On cue Leslie appears in the room from the lights in the ceiling. She shocks Kara and knocks her out temporarily and kidnaps Cat.
Winn wake Kara and asks where Livewire went. She tells him she’s not sure but gonna save Cat. The two leave Winn goes to a closed CatCo and Supergirl takes flight into the city.
Winn uses her laptop tells Supergirl through coms that the Power Plant is having large spikes in power.
Supergirl arrives and is quickly shocked by Livewire. She uses her ice breath on her only for her to zap herself away in time. Kara finds Cat but before she can approach her Livewire sends Kara throw the window and out of the office.
The two go back and forth throughout the power plant until Livewire is sent through the wall.
The power plant is on the edge of the city with the National City dam nearby. The continue to fight and Kara pleads with Livewire to stop, but she’s to far gone.
Livewire begins to electrify Supergirl. Kara kicks her away and she hits a water pipe and is electrocuted again. Cat goes into outside and see if Supergirl was alright and thanks her for saving her life.
A few weeks later Cat is back in the newly renovated CatCo office hosting a small conference with reporters and media personal. In the small crowd is Clark,Lois, and Jimmy.
Kara and Winn are in the back of the room and she thanks him for helping her with Livewire and for keeping her secret.
Cat breaks a moments from answering questions and is tells Kara to get her a coffee. Kara heard fire trucks and alarm from across the town due to a building fire. She turns to Winn who playful scoffs telling her he’s got Cat’s coffee.
The last shot is a happy Supergirl waving at the conference room and winking at crowd. Clark smirks to himself and mumbles show-off. She flies away from CatCo towards an emergency.

Watched My Adventures with Superman, because I will do all I can to get WB and DC to realize animation is a great thing and that they suck at live adaptations. I do have some reservations:
1: Where are Jimmy’s freckles?
2: Lois reminds me a lot of how most ppl tend to draw Selina Kyle nowadays (as a Catwoman lover this is not an issue, just a “hmm, this is a strange choice”)
3) I get them changing Livewire’s backstory for this, but I don’t know, she always gave me more weak fighter who has to rely on her powers to do anything give. You know those incompetent villains that have good fights but aren’t this type of threat?
4) Please let Deathstroke and Waller die. This isn’t about the show, I just absolutely hate both characters in every iteration of them.
5) Not a complaint, but Perry’s design reminds me of an older character and I cannot for the life of me remember who it is. And now watch it be some drawing I saw online years ago for an OC or something.
6) The plot pacing and the Clois romance is very fast. I know I don’t read a lot of Superman, but wasn’t Lois originally not into him at all? And I know we won’t get to with how early it’s set, but I would love to see how they would design Jon. Also can Kara, Karen or Kon show up? I really like the art style.

Note
How long do you think Livewire would go on with the Super-Cult bullshit? I feel like she would insist on it with heroes in and out of the superfam, like Kong Kenan, Billy, Claire Clover, Apollo, the Steels, Mr. Majestic…
As long as targeting marginalized people continues to rake in money and clout for online grifters, I have bad news for how long Livewire would keep up her Kryptonian hate campaign! She'd have to adjust her narrative with other types of Supers. It's all an extension of the grift.

Wildcord (Villainous Oc)
Tumblr media
Name: Nephele Bronte DOB: March 23 Occupation: Podcast/Online Video Host; Supervillain Species: Metahuman Love Interest: Coyote (former) Residence: Fairhome (Birthplace/Frequent Target);  Rutherford Springs (Frequent Target) Sexuality: Straight Ethnicity: Caucasian American Headcannon Voice Actor: Britt Baron (English); Lileana Chacon (Spanish) Abilities: Electric And Magnetic Manipulation Personality: From her start as a podcast/online video host, she had little love for heroes and was always in favor of villains. This carried over into her career as a villain and her love for evil. She is always openly nasty, rude, and critical towards those who have her disfavor and is always praising her favorites. However, if someone even slightly disappoints her she will easily change her tune and start pushing vitriol at them. She is also very controlling and bossy to the point that people who get close to her find her to be grating. She also is very self-centered and likes to be in the spotlight. She is very dismissive of people who she thinks as beneath her and will often underestimate or demean them.  She also has a bit of an entitlement complex and believes that everyone owes her something including her ex-boyfriend who she thinks is stupid for beginning to date a heroine. She also is very much against hero/villain relationship thinking of it as pathetic unless they can corrupt a hero to their side. She revels in being cruel and ruthless and will often mock those she hates. Background: Originally a podcast/online video host who had a reputation for talking smack about heroes and praising her favored villains. During one live streaming, she was electrocuted during a lightening storm which struck her and gave her powers. She then decided to turn to villainy and make a reputation for herself while also still doing her podcast/online video host stuff dedicated to villains. She then got romantically involved with Coyote and started doing crimes together while also bolstering him through her podcast and online videos. However, overtime Coyote began to notice how insufferable and controlling she was becoming and broke up with her which infuriated her and as a result she turned to making him the biggest target of her hate after bashing heroes. When Coyote was under the control of Miss Heed she especially bashed him for not being a stooge of hers. And even after he was freed from her control she still bashed him for being easily mind controlled. And when he began dating Pololina she began to target the young superheroine for daring to date her ex, especially since she was hero and made the girl her archnemesis. * She is kind of like a openly villainous foil to Miss Heed into being an online presenter who has an influence in the villain/hero world except she is blatantly a villain and doesn't pretend to be a good person. * When Miss Heed was still in the spotlight and had her career she usually smack talked about her as well. * She hates pink. * She is a Black Hat Organization member. * She is a polarizing figure in the villain community due to which villains she praises  or smack talks. * She is based on the supervillain Livewire from Superman. * She has a not like other girls mentality. * She will one day meet Polecat, her ex's daughter, and target her due to her being a product of a hero/villain relationship and also being an offspring of her ex and her love rival. * She often makes Flug one of her targets of ridicule which also makes Mecha Max hate her. * She's hated Omega before and after she was villain.
