Making a birthday cake for a friend tonight (something I haven't done for a while), and I forgot how much I love baking & cake decorating. I'll post pics when I'm done, I'm very excited. 🥰

#archivist talk #the archivist regrets starting nursing school #the archivist #the archivist is a tad stressed but also this fun thing is happening so that's just dandy #i think i might have to give up on the kitchen being a place where one can sit and eat #i never use it for that personally #not because i don't want to #it just lacks the space for it and i don't have a real dining room #(my kitchen is long and narrow)#if i can figure out a good reasonable way to re-arrange the living room such that i can have both a living room AND a small dining corner #i may do that #however given the amount of bookshelves i've got going on & all my other lusts i imagine this won't happen #le sigh #i love my apartment so much #i think if i had a small dining area/dining room that would make the kitchen perfect #and if i had a den that i could put my desk/file cabinet/all adulting work in #that would free up my bedroom to be even more coquettish & focused #and also entirely comfortable #that would change a lot actually goddamn #but alas this building is not going to change #so maybe if one day i could afford a 2 bedroom that had a den .... bonus points if it has wood floors #and those arched doorways that i so love #i would be in heaven #i have to finish nursing school so i can pay for things with less stres #and also help my siblings more #and then maybe so i can get a nice home that would be super cool #but for now i must simply chill as they say

#basically yesterday night was chaharshanbe suri . which is a solar new yr tradition where we let go of the past suffering in our year #and like...start the new yr w fresh vigour . anyway so my friend was at the event and we were abt to leap over the fire #and she was like bro im im glad u blocked her (situationship) etc etc . and then. my phone started vibrating. and i look at it. and my f #friend looks at it. and its her. and were both like what the fuck?? i blocked her things r Over and anyway so i pick up the phone and shesl #acting like nothing happened (bc nothing DID happen for her) and she was like ohh ur doing chaharshanbe suri im not doing anything etc what #are ur new yr plans so i jusr .IDK WHY I DID THIS . but ig i didnt wanna come off as like lonely i said probably hanging out w family and #friends maybe reading poetry together . et cetera and she was like wait that sounds so fun why didnt u invite me!#LIKE WDYM YOUVE BEEN CONSISTENTLY MAKING IT CLEAR U DONT WANT TO BE IN MY PRESENCE . and i told her that after #everything i thought she didnt want to see me again and she was like you always think that 😐 . like. ?? ok anyway so she expects me to #invite her . and like. there is an above 0% but sub-5% chance she will actually show up . but the panic that gripped me #i started making calls to my friends asking them if they can come on the 23rd bc there must be an event and also i asked my mother #and she said actually yeah i am doing a thing on the 23rd :D it involves over 16 ppl (we live in a v small flat) of which like...7 are kids #so you wont have space to be in ur own room let alone invite others. which tbh like ...being around a bunch of loud kids doesnt seem fun fo #any of my friends or me etc so i thought maybe i should arrange things so that we all go out together and if she shows up she shows up 🤷‍♀️#but . im so. WHY DID I SAY THAT . i had to panic-call my research partner and ask him to get from oxf to where i live on the 23rd #and when he heard the explanation he like. the light in his voice disappeared 💀 but he potentially agreed so idk #THE ISSUE IS. 23rd im supposed to also have . a date #w this girl that i had a huge crush on when i was 15-16 (posted abt this b4 but id get shitty black coffee in the mornings just to spend a #few more minuted w her each day and she was the cleverest girl in school and she cared abt nothing but her academics but now shes very gay #scraggly homosexual etc etc shes cute) and YEAH IDK #like id have to go there on the date come back fast meet ppl POTENTIALLY (again under 5%) meet situationship girl #like is that even doable #but the thing is it would be so so so funny bc all of my friends dislike her sooo much #.........what if i invited the girl im supposed to have a date w over to hang out w us #god that would be so hilarious and chaotic . i wont do it tho im a mature person x #but it would be soooo funny #I HAVE AN ASSIGNMENT DUE TMRW 12:30PM IT IS 10:49PM RN I HAVENT STARTED IT bc i was rotting sadly in bed #popped a ritalin pill tho so here we go x #i have found myself in a state of such sheer agony and rage and sorrow and grief over this girl that atp i feel like #its just so entertaining . like i feel vaguely over it? ik nothing will come of it so its like just . have fun . vibe

My toxic trait as a stay is that immediately upon learning minsung moved in together I assumed it was by choice (not a randomized partner arrangement) and then concluded everyone picked their own roommate.

#Minsung do randomly end up together so often too but this is such a huge deal to live with one person alone and anyway #Why would skz randomize room assignments when last time they split into dorms by work schedules #They reasoned that 3racha should live together but now they're in three separate dorms #It's a bit unreasonable to randomize it unless they take an actual issue rooming with the person closest in schedule #Even if minsung specifically wanted to room together why aren't Chan and Changbin sharing a dorm for convenience?#You can say it's randomized but again... why would they randomize it if normally binchan would prefer to share rides and work out together #And you could say they just wanted a change but Changbin and Hyunjin were already living together so they didn't change roommates #What's the point of randomizing for a change if they get their old roommate?#I can't help but suspect that Changbin and Hyunjin chose to move in together #And then that means the others chose each other too because #Why randomize when they can have Felix and Jeongin share a dorm where they game together #Or Jeongin and Seungmin share a dorm as vocalists who go to vocal classes together #And if chanlix were a thing theoretically they would have been in the same dorm Iike minsung but they are not #If skz did choose to randomize the roommate arrangements they inconvenienced themselves greatly going against previous logic #If they didn't randomize it that marks to me the death of all but four fandom ships. I don't think they're all dating or even queer #But if they were then the room split would have looked very different #Me personally I love that jeongchan are rooming together because that's my favorite dynamic #And I shall consider this a game changer in the way I view Hyunjin and Changbin's dynamic as well #My brain is going a mile an hour

me: I just really want to live alone out in the woods without roommates

relatives and more outgoing friends: I don't know, that always sounds nice at first but it can get really lonely after a while. you might not like it as much as you think.

me, two years into living alone out in the woods: ... yeah they didn't know what they were talking about, this is fucking great

#I don't have to share my kitchen I don't have to wear headphones I don't have to hear anyone else talking and/or fucking at night #I can arrange the living room furniture however I want and monologue to myself while I'm cooking #it's just me and a rotating cast of seasonal birds/fish #and the landlords in the yard but you can't have everything #I mean granted it would probably be better if I hadn't moved out here during quarantine because I'm basically feral now #but even so I regret nothing

I was trying to do a little catch up in nightbringer

I finished lesson 20 and they like joke(?) about moving to the human world and staying at the MCs home if they cant stay in the devildom

And i just wanna seriously consider the logistics of MC trying to house 7 other people

Most of us are probably living with other people (who may not be okay with sharing a space with so many strangers suddenly) and/or dont have a giant sized place

And this is assuming the mc is staying at a house and not an apartment....

#obey me nightbringer #dont think anyone will last a day in this situation.#realistically theyre all gonna probably have to share 1 room right....#2 if we r lucky #at my home we have an extra bedroom and a living room #and the extra room technically belongs to my grandpa when he visits from ghana so...#id be like....yall gotta come up with some human identities and find jobs so you can move into a different place #im not trying to abandon them in the human world of course #especially mammon for several reasons #but yea....#and outside of living arrangements mc would have to teach them to live in this damn world #and navigate new social norms urghh #my head hurts thinking about it #like “noooo u cant fuckin threaten people so flippantly when they piss u off unless u wanna make my life more difficult!!”#ik they could take ppl in fight sure but god #what if they get arrested #ugh sorry my mind is just going towards all the worst case scenarios lol #anyways im gonna try to start next lesson but im already getting tired of playing these rhythm games sigh
