Makoto can't help the twisted smile on his face as he looks down on his captive, trying to suppress the sadistic laugh rising in his throat. He'd set off to find the Despair Remnants once again after he faked his death at Hope's Peak Academy, knowing that the Future Foundation was likely going to try and execute them - and he couldn't have that, not when they'd been doing so well to keep the world from rebuilding. He knew they couldn't be doing the same things they were up to the last time he saw them, but seriously... What had become of the Ultimate Luck?

He knocked him out and tied him up in one of his hideouts before talking to him, though - just in case. It was hard to tell when this guy was going to switch sides, given his disgusting infatuation with hope...

"Playing babysitter, huh? You let those kids draw on your face and everything... Uhuhu, what a goddamn joke! I bet you're glad I'm getting you out of there. Those kids don't need you around, anyways. We've got more important things to do, you know~!"

This dingy, underground bar was one of Kaneda's favorite places in the entire city to hang out - mainly because they'd sell to high school students without asking questions - so to say the least, he was familiar with just about all the regulars. It's mostly just drunks, delinquents, and of course, the members of his own gang - but there's someone new here today. An unaccompanied woman, for one thing, which was already uncommon enough, but she was beautiful, too. Like, really beautiful. To the point where he thinks she doesn't belong in a run-down place like this - but hey, that just means it might be his lucky day, right? He'd be damned if he didn't at least shoot his shot.

"Hey, this yer first time here? Haven't seen ya 'round here before." He leans against the bar next to her with a grin, puffing his chest out a bit to try and appear macho. "Th' name's Kaneda Shotaro - my buddies and I hang around here a lot. Friends with the owner 'n all that." Friends was a stretch, more like the owner begrudgingly tolerated them - but whatever makes him sound better. "And you are?"

      Izuku isn’t sure what to think of the blonde just yet. On one hand, it’s nice to have someone his age around, but on the other, it’s... Weird, when the other is still attending UA. Not that the boy particularly cares about where his loyalties lie, he’s been on both sides himself -- but it’s a bit hard to be around him sometimes when he wishes so badly that he could’ve continued going to school there. He’s envious, to say the least, even if he didn’t want to admit it. So for most of the time they’ve known each other, Izuku has been a little standoffish ( they didn’t have much reason to talk anyways, did they? ), however upon seeing him reading a comic book at one of the booths in the hideout... Well, his interest is piqued, to say the least.

     “What’re you reading?” He asks, before realizing his mistake, quickly backing off with an apologetic look. He really needed to stop letting his impulses get the better of him... “Sorry, sorry - I didn’t mean to interrupt! I was just curious...”

Dance with me for one song.” Of all the people in the entire masquerade, Idia comes to the conclusion that this person makes the most painless, sensible choice, because if Idia ends up stepping on some toes: a) he’d deserve it, and b) they’ll hopefully never see each other again after this event so he won’t have to hear about anyone making fun of him.

“Ngl, your gloomy and depressing character makes you a perfect tortured protagonist type for a game. Way better than those extroverts.” Idia almost grins at the thought, ‘cuz it’s a pretty funny one, but it’s quickly replaced by a quiet sigh and a shrug of his shoulders.

game recognizes game and sera wishes that this is the case with them too ㅡ that this is why noa has befriended her.

if the saying "take a chill pill" got personified by some freak with a very specific anomaly, and they wanted to put it into sera's life, then she is confident that noa would be the embodiment of it.

chaotic thoughts and worries are put to rest with noa's nonchalance. always, without fail, never missing a beat. the sturdy metal bar that you hold on tight, white knuckled, through the roller coaster of emotions. it's the seeming lack of strings in their friendship that actually makes their connection work so well and there is something healing that comes with having a friend and knowing that you can go days, weeks, without talking to them. hell, she even enjoys how different their pasts are, it's a step out of the echo chamber that sera sometimes feels stuck in.

the patch is off and she's showing noa different types of wrapping paper for christmas. the patch is off and sera's not worried that her ability may get triggered today. refreshing.

im filipino !! sometimes i use taglish (tagalog + english) when speaking <3 m a lot more fluent in english tho ;; i loveee all shades of blue, specifically periwinkle (its so pretty……..), n i also love pokemon, kny, n mha :3 (rlly hate their fanbases tho. i have. words. about them.) i have several phobias, some of them pretty weird to have as a 16y/o 😭 its uh,,, stairs, dolls, tight spaces, tiny holes, clowns, darkness n the smallest problems cause me a lot of distress… (yesterday i couldnt use spotify abroad for more than 2weeks n i was panicking for like 15 minutes until i was able to change my location 😭) i watch a lot of matpat (namely film theory n game theory), n coryxkenshin !! a few poketubers here n there (mandjtv, patterrz n pm7) but these two r who i watch mainly <3

HIIII i actually wanted 2 do this w pictures but. im lazy anw. all u have to do is set the folder (assuming it is a gif therefore more than one frame) to lighten / screen / overlay wtv. u can change it in the little drop down portion of the layers . it shld say pass through i think if ur using pea so u just change that to another blending mode and ur good! also. advice if u use some bright overlays (eg bokeh) lower the opacity [or erase some parts of it] so it doesnt crowd the edit! sorry for the late answer academia is a baseball bat and i am the unfortunate ball . i hope this helps and lmk if i can help w anything else!!!

Ever since Makoto found out about the Kamukura project, he was fascinated. To wipe somebody's personality away completely for the sake of acquiring as much talent as possible? Something so diabolical for the sake of creating the Ultimate Hope? How could he resist getting involved? This was a goldmine just waiting to be blown to bits!

It took quite a bit of planning and dirty work, given what was required to fool the retinal scanners, but nothing was too much to ask for if it meant an encounter with the mysterious test subject - someone who could ultimately became a very, very useful pawn in his game. Maybe even more than that...

"Izuru Kamukura!" He announced as the door to that dark, bare room opened, hazel eyes fixed on the man before him as he handed the eyeball he'd used to get in back to Komaru, who kept watch at the door. "You're the one they refer to as the Ultimate Hope, aren't you? The Academy's lab-rat-turned-magnum-opus? It's nice to meet you! I'm Makoto Naegi. I have quite the proposition for you!"

The man's blank stare did nothing to deter him as he stepped closer, a confident grin on his face despite quite honestly having no idea what to expect. "It's a waste to be locked away in here, isn't it? And what else could the Academy possibly offer you at this point? It must be so boring- Well, lucky for you, I've got the perfect solution!"

"All this hope and talent bullshit... It's all so meaningless. Come with me, and we'll create a world where you can do whatever you please - a world where you'll never be subject to authority or boredom ever again!"

She stays alert of course, ready to dodge should the boy decide to attack, she’s not stupid -- a villain encountering a hero would more than likely end in him trying to capture her somehow. That was the script written for them in this world they lived in. ( Maybe in another time, another place, things could be different between them ) -- But she is genuinely curious. She wants to know more about the boy she likes of course, even if everyone seemed to have a hard time understanding that her affection was just as real as everyone else’s.

      It wasn’t often that there were new faces around the hideout, so when Twice brought one of his friends around, well -- she was hard to miss, especially for someone as observant as Izuku. It’s a little awkward, honestly, especially when those two weren’t directly interacting with each other... It’s a bit strange to say, but the League had become something of a tight-knit group, so the presence of someone new made things a little more... Tense, than usual, even if nothing had happened thus far to set them on edge. 

      Twice had left for a bit - to run to the convenience store and grab some snacks, maybe? He wasn’t sure - but she was sitting alone now, and, well... As much overthinking as he did, he was also the type to act on impulse, and for some reason right now his brain had decided that approaching her was the right thing to do ( despite his own social anxiety making this a nerve-wracking task ). He noticed the cigarettes out and that she seemed to be rummaging around for something -- so he puts a hand in his pocket, leaning against the booth across from her, but not quite sitting down yet.

     “Need a light?” He asks, pulling his own lighter and offering it to her.

With a huff, Chance was dropping the records in hand onto the first available surface he could find, gaze searching the perimeters of the store for the one person he was regularly looking for when he needed to chew someone out. Because it was always Taylor that seemed to be the perpetrator in these moments, “If you keep insisting on showing off your shit taste in music, I’m gonna break the next record you place up here,” he threatened, already grasping at one and shaking it in the air, brows rising to emphasize his point. @livingrariity​
