This WONT be the last drawing I do for this comic by far. BUT! It's good to put an end to a whole story first. Anything that I will do after this, will be done much more lightly, without a precise schedule or a precuse number of panels. Maybe I'll take some suggestions, but I will ONLY do what I feel like if I got the time.

BUt MY burning question was:

WHAT HAPPENED?

I mean I trust Wukong's judgement and you said Mac,

"got the position he wanted"

did he have to kill someone to get that position? was it someone Wukong loved? You said he was an emerging Yakuza prior to the accident so I assumed he was at the top unless he toppled over another Yakuza leader of a different mob?

Okay but anyone who wants to claim that Wukong purposefully gave up Mk because he just didn't want to be a father to him, clearly doesn't know Wukong very well.

Yes Wukong has a lot of flaws and is a very reckless individual who doesn't always know how to handle responsibilities, but I do not think that if he had even the slightest thought there was another child like him, a child of the stone, that he would just give him up. I know that if he knew about Mk he would have not waited till Mk was in his twenties to get involved. Wukong would have wanted to give that kid the love, care, and recognition Wukong so desperately felt a need to strive for when he was a kid, that desperation to be recognised as the best and most deserving being what led him down a path of destruction, anger, and pain.

Also, look at how he is with the monkies of flower fruit mountain, especially the kids! He loves them dearly, they are his little suns and he would fight heaven a thousand times to protect them. Look at how he is with Mk! Even before he found out Mk came from the same stone as him, he clearly held a guilt for not being able to be there for him sooner, he wanted to be there, to help Mk understand his powers, to train him so that when his powers were unlocked he wouldn't feel like he was lacking control, to make sure he knew he was loved by someone who faced the same struggles.

Yes, Wukong probably would have had some concerns about being an actual father to Mk, it's a big responsibility and Wukong has a past of making big mistakes, he of course would have worried about messing up, a fear that he'd fail Mk and Mk would end up going down the same path of regret and pain as Wukong had. But when it comes to what really matters Wukong has learned how to step up to a challange, even an emotionally taxing one. If Wukong had known about Mk I don't think there is any way he would've pawned the job of raising him off on Pigsy, he just wouldn't have.

Shadowpeach Idea, when Wukong and Macaque first met, it's similar to how Emett + Wildstyle met in the Lego Movie:

(Macaque is wearing a hood, while picking fruit...)

Wukong: Hey, what are you doing here?... I SAID, what are-

(In that moment the hooded figure removes its hood to reveal a beautiful Macaque, Wukong suddenly gets is frozen on the spot by his beauty!)

Wukong: -youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu....

(Macaque gets fed up and makes a run for it!)

Wukong: Where are you going?! Buddy, I didn't mean to scare you! I'm sorry! 😍
