Sugar rush poppy is already a thing but it really doesn’t push as hard as you really could for the concept, I mixed decora and gyaru aesthetic sensibilities to make something just a bit more sweet, poppy’s hair is the other big thing about her so it’s good to focus on that for skins since her body is much smaller on visual language

Here’s an artwork I made for my sister’s birthday. A pair of princesses of the Dolce Kingdom (where Sweet Sweet Kingdom, Sweet Sweet Canyon, Cocoa Meltdown, Layer-Cake Desert, Sweet Sweet Galaxy, Sky-High Sundae, and other dessert-themed places are located), Princess Vanille and Princess Zestreen. They weren't the rulers of this kingdom, because their parents, King Neapolitus and Queen Fizzarella rule the kingdom and the two sisters were already dubbed the Protectors of each of their own candy territory. Princess Vanille, the eldest child and heir, protects the sweet regions of the kingdom, where the homes of the other six subordinate rulers live, while Princess Zestreen, the youngest princess rules the sour territory.  The middle sister, Princess Mapril (not shown) looks after the dessert sauce and fruit preserve region

Princess Vanille is the future queen of the Dolce Kingdom. Known to be a brainiac, she is very advanced, self-reliant, clever, exceptional, and has a sense of responsibility and ability when it comes to being a protector but she is very sunny and optimistic with a strong will to care for the well being of others. She is friends with many inhabitants of the region she ruled over but she is very close with a selective few like Mintero, Princess Lollipoppy, and many more. She is the first princess to welcome the main heroes to her home kingdom. She cares a lot for her family but don't make her angry because she has a strong temper. Like her sisters, paternal grandmother, aunts, maternal family and a selective of human inhabitants, she was born with magic powers and she channels sweet magic using the Berry Swirl Scepter. 

Princess Mapril, acts as the voice of reason for both older and younger sisters. She is extremely clever, confident, ambitious, highly creative and imaginative but also kind-hearted, helpful, generous, compassionate and loving. She acts as the peacemaker among the sisters and she couldn't stand fights and arguments between Vanille and Zestreen. She is also born with magic like her sisters but she uses the Marmalade Fleuret to cast magic with. 

Princess Zestreen is the most mature and acts in a formal and educated way for all the people she knows. Unlike her two older sisters, she doesn’t dress like all of the princesses do and she prefers to express her royal status in her own way. She is down-to-earth, tenacious, reliable, independent, loyal, and sensual, taking her role as a protector seriously, but she tends to be snobby, jealous, stubborn, blunt and sassy that she often clash with Princess Vanille, but deep down, she loves her and her family. She casts spells with her Lemon Scope but most of her spells are sour related.

Lollipoppy, from the candy skin line in League of Legends, started with one of the unintentionally creepiest face designs in splash art history and has since moved into the other cardinal sin of a character skin in a video game by being outrageously bland compared to everything else in the same skin line.

I find the reason for this fascinating, because it's the fact that she's patterned 1:1 after the oompa loompas from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (1971).

With their budget constraints and the fact that they were going to need to need to clothe at least a dozen people in the same outfit, they ended up in (candy-cane-colored) striped shirts, and white overalls.

So the reason she's bland is that her visual design in a video game where they can literally render a man made of living goo is that they're adhering to the budget limitations of a film from 53 years ago. It's like if they released an "authentic" Dr Who toy and it looks like a small model of a sleeping bag with bubble wrap taped to the side of it, like that one episode of classic Dr Who where the monster was represented by a dude wormin' around in a sleeping bag with bubble wrap taped to the side of it, because the old show had NO budget.

Kind of a cautionary tale about meme skins, really.
