After reading Dune a few years ago after the first movie came out I was saddened by Paul's decent into becoming the "Messiah", and after watching part two tonight I can say that shit is still as heartbreaking

haha wouldn’t it be funny if the romanian sailors threw dracula’s box overboard because of the bad vibes and then he sank to the bottom of the danube before eventually washing out to the ocean and the gang frantically tried to find him but they never ever could and mina even created a special foundation dedicated to their mission but to no avail so the task was passed down to their descendants who kept up the furious search and dracula stayed at the bottom of the ocean for one hundred and twenty three years until the foundation finally located him and sent a diving expedition down to retrieve the box but when they found it one of the divers started examining dracula’s teeth and then dracula bit her finger and started drinking her blood which woke him from his restorative coma and—oh wait, oh, oh no….

Okay yes I get the emotional value
Like
This was meant to be ed's big emotional sendoff from piracy cause what's even the point if Izzy's not there anymore? He was the heart of piracy itself and he became such a symbol of resiliency through literally whatever and he passed that onto the crew so we get this new generation of pirates who'll carry his spirit on, but he was also the symbol of everything ed was, the legend but also the bad stuff he did and the toxicity they fueled in each other and and and and
Like everything changed when stede came along because ed was already fed up of his old life but he showed him an actual viable alternative with love and softness and acceptance and they all went through a whole journey and yes, okay, they could have kept Izzy alive cause there could have been SO MANY PLACES to take his character and I am so mad about it
But I get it. As a storytelling device I get it. I still hate the shit out of it and I hate that this season was shorter and it felt rushed and there's just not enough.....stuff. Con O'neill stole the fucking show and Izzy was the heart of it and this show deserved so much more in terms of budget and scale and.......yeah I'm mad. Hope they get a renewal but like. Without him?

Godzilla 1985 made me ball my eyes out as a child. Seeing Godzilla in so much pain here, breaks my heart. Its no wonder this living God punishes humanity for its folly.

I think it's time for some Fun Farron Facts, just because I'm bored and why the hell not. Writing's always a good time. But first...
Enjoy a picture of these two nerds.
Anywho! I think I feel like talking about his "family" and who knows what else from his time in Rak'tika and adventuring around the First.
So first up is Farron's mom, Nevri.
Isn't she the prettiest? She was lovely, kind and strong in her beliefs. Not a fan of how the viis people went about upholding tradition, she was one of few trying to sway the others towards change. Like not sending fresh 13 year old boys off into the forest on their own with minimal training just so they could be a body.
And then we have Farron's father, Lorn:
What a horrible man, honestly. But I'll get into more of that a little bit! For the most part all you need to know is that he follows tradition as strictly as possible and doesn't have a happy bone in his body.
Now onto everyone's favorite... ✨️trauma!✨️
Once Farron's 13th nameday rolled around, Nevri wasn't at all thrilled that he turned out to be a boy. She had been praying for a girl so she could stay tucked away in the village where she would be safe. Alas, life had other plans for her poor child.
In my own happy little headcanon, the viis hold a ceremony on every child's 13th nameday to mark them as "adult" (yes I know) and Farron was supposed to attend his with two other children.
That was until his mom snatched him away when no one was looking and tried to flee the forest all together. She didn't care what would happen to her for breaking the code - the viis were not allowed to leave the forest without being branded traitors - she just wanted her son to have a fighting chance at a life.
Unfortunately for them both, Lorn was quick to notice his son missing and hunted them down rather quickly. I'll, uh... skip the not so fun things and just do a brief run down of what played out once he caught them. Nevri was branded a traitor and that meant death. Without any hesitation, Lorn murdered the mother of his child while she clung to her son protectively and Farron was dragged back to Rak'tika straight away to complete the ceremony and get booted off into the forest for his new life as a Guardian.
I'm sure that was just fine for his mental health.
That's all for now 'cause this is getting long but I hope you enjoyed the horrible glimpse into my poor boys early life! ♡

Can’t believe I went into the final part of S4 thinking the big character resolution for Eddie was going to be they revealed him to be gay. Nope. Instead they just hit the scrangly jangly motherfucker with the age-old Duffer Bros “One Season Character Arc Then You Die” mallet and turned him into a metalhead pancake.

I completely forgot about the time I was so mad at Disney for killing Ben that I sent them a ticket and gifs on Twitter to illustrate my point. At least they read it??
