Would you have any advice for folks (such as myself) who want to learn digital painting but are struggling? You make it look so gorgeous and simple to do, and I'm sure you inspire more than just me to learn.

Thank you for the kind words! I’m glad to hear I make it seem simple to do, because it’s not, haha. I’m still learning and striving to be the best artist I can be, so every new painting is an adventure, so to speak. It gets easier as you get more experience, sure, but I don’t think it ever turns into an effortless task.

I guess my advice to you would be, look for painting process videos on youtube, to learn from other people’s processes; if you don’t know where to start (like myself when it comes to environments, haha) those can really help you. Everyone has a different process so you could try them out and see which works best for you. Look for written tutorials too, since the artist may explain the their thought process and how to use the program’s tools. Start with simple subjects and gradually make them more complex as you get a better grip of the program you’re using to draw. Observe other people’s art and real life, study color theory when you can, use photo reference if you’re struggling with painting something (how can you paint something if you don’t know what it looks like?).
