I'm continuously baffled by the way the fandom seems to love pairing CircleBethany with a lot of anti mage guys like Cullen, Fenris and Sebastian, the latter of which DA2 seems to endorse too. No offence to people who like that sort of thing, but I think she deserves better than someone who merely tolerates her magic, at best. The only guys I can think of that aren't too bad are Nathaniel or Alistair. The rest are just meh..

Wait until you find out there are scumbags who ship Orsino and Meredith also Lavellan and Gaspard ( yes, yes if they ship those two pairings. I think something is wrong with them )

I mean... Yeah shipping Beth with people who doesn't have a positive views about mages because will be difficult. Realistically if both parties refuses to change their stance it wouldn't work out. Also a mage like Beth shouldn't give in and being okay with anti mage stance to be with a lover, it's just oppression

So it's the other party who need to change their view to be better

In our world lots of people couldn't be together because of political difference, example a trump supporters wouldn't end up with someone who's anti trump. Yeah maybe they might worked out of their differences or whatever but most of the time it doesn't work.

Adhering to canon... Well... The probability of Beth end up with Fenris or Sebastian depends on Hawke's stance ( i think Cullen is out of question in DA2, don't think it's possible for him and Beth)

For Sebastian to even STAY in the party with a pro mage Hawke, Anders has to die

( nope, i love Anders too much. Literally used DAI save editor to save him, because I pirated DA2 so the Canon world state doesn't carry to DAI in origin. In dragon age keep Anders canon fate is up to Hawke choice and not a hard canon like Hawke and Inky allying with mages, the tile for Anders is hidden while allying with mages are not hidden )

For Fenris also depends on Hawke:

Out of these three guys Fenris has a better chance with Beth, with pro mage Hawke helped him with personal quest and high relationship since he is not in the position of power that is anti mage like Cullen and Sebastian... So he has no professional responsibility or political pressure to take conservative stance that is against mages or dealing with people in power who are against mages in day to day life.

( yeah pro mage Hawke is the canon, it's not up to debate anymore )

But... It's still will be difficult to ship him with Beth since him and pro!mage Hawke romantic relationship has difficulty as well. He has a better chance than Cullen or Seb, it's just there's a lot of things that need to be settle down before things working out

Cullen was not in the position for romance in DAII with a non-mage and especially not with a mage, definitely not. Both from political, mental and his position in the templar he was not in a position to date. Also his stance about mages is way worse in DA2 than DAI it's just a fact okay? Don't come at me.

Sebastian was raised in a conservative environment and well he's a conservative ( like a lot of religious non-mage humans in Thedas, people like Leliana is an exception) also whatever he likes it or not, he's a prince.

Being a prince from a country that have negative views of mages before the successful mage rebellion and before mages helped to defeat Coryphaeus ( ye, in hushed whispers and mage allies is the canon path. DA keep support it, Weekes support it and the narrative support it as well ) will force you to not engage in a romantic relationship with a mage publicly and if you want to keep your mage lover and being public about it...

Eh i guess you can but a lot of conservative people ( which there's a lot of them in Thedas ) will be angry at you and maybe they'll think that 'THe MaGe MaNiPulateD ThIs RUleR' or 'ThIs RuleR is a HeRetiC'

It will be super difficult for Beth even more so than Beth and Fenris, especially with him being supporting the idea of circle and being pro chantry... Yeah sure Hawke who side with mages still can romance him ( but Anders has to die :(( ) still realistically it's gonna be really really stressful and there will be a lot of arguments between them plus there will be political pressure from so many other people who are not okay with a mage and non mage relationship. Also, dude is chaste.

For example:

Francois and Dorian are basically Morticia and Gomez Addams. Frankie is a rebel mage and Dorian is pro mage obviously, they are both progressive mages and is a perfect match couple. But... Francois during the timeline in DAI still disagreed with Dorian's old stance about Tevinter slavery and he debated the man whom he loves, if Dorian never changed his stance about the slavery in their country. I don't think it will work out for them...

Now Dorian and Francois are together and they have a strong unity. They still face problem from people who doesn't like them being together ( people in the south and Tevinter )

So Dorian and Francois as a couple have no fundamental interpersonal problems or clashes, they only have problem from outsiders.

Mages who romance people like Seb will have both interpersonal issues and problem from outsiders who doesn't want them to be together, even more so since Seb is a politician with an important position. So it's double or even triple the problem since there's a bright spotlight and public scrutiny on Seb ( yeah sure mages are canonically free and enjoy acceptance in the current timeline, but before DAI things were different and post DAI although mages are free there are still assholes and conservative stances that wants them to be oppressed and enslaved just like before DAI )

Like how tf it's gonna work out? With a mage? Realistically for a mage Hawke and Beth to be with people like Seb, the guy has to change his stance about circle, templar, chantry.

Or else it's gonna be bad for the mage.

I mean I haven't heard him post DA2 change his stance about circle, templar, chantry and do anything that will help mages. There's no info about what he's doing during the timeline of DAI besides him wanting to invade Kirkwall since Anders is alive

Hence why canonically there's nothing serious between Beth and seb. It's just fact nothing happened between them in da2

Super WIP should I continue? I was thinking about a post veil Thedas where the evanuris actually ruling again albeit kinda indirectly and Solas waking up in an all magic world but it's still fuck up and like super capitalist or whatever and some shit happened again! Same bullshit repeated like Dalish and mage oppression ( the mages are free and once again Francois fight for the mage rebellion) and religion ( Evanuris pantheon ) is on war against human religion ( the maker is just elgar'nan but it's still incorrect because humans turned him into a human god and human religion purposely misinterpreted the pantheons just to offend Arlathan andraste is Mythal ) is at war.

Francois and Dorian are amnesiac, so Solas has to get his lovers back before the evanuris and other threats do anything again!! The only way he can rises to the top is through illegal business like drugs, smuggling, scamming rich people and many other things since the evanuris slandered his name in the religion and turned him into an 'obedient protector' of the gods. So he must fight back through underground means... Like Silco y'know

He has a daughter Dorian (Biological) and in the two canon universe it's either from a ritual + surrogate mom or in the other canon trans universe. Francois carried the child himself, a daughter named Amadi.

The child that one day will fly over the world and brought the wrath of Mythal, a retribution for what humanity and many other people in Thedas have done against the elvenkind (whatever Amadi likes it or not her fate has been sealed)

Francois also became the rider of Ataashi the dragon from Trespasser and he's been collecting dragon eggs, alongside with Dorian they are experimenting with the fade and time so these dragonlings they hatched will grow faster.

Amadi also ride Ataashi. Lmao the family end up kinda like Targaryen

The Elder One rolled his eyes, he adored Francois's fury and passion but it wasn't the time for yet another storm of rage and shouting, they were supposed to enjoy this sweet sweet victory after nearly a year of war.
