do you ever think about how close the previous generation of elemental masters were with each other. how they probably went camping together, showed up at restaurants asking for a table of 14 together, took group photos together where there’s always one person who blinks. do you ever think about how the only one left to teach the next generation was wu. how did they lose each other so quickly? do you ever think about the gut punch garmadon felt showing up at the tournament to find the children nieces cousins grandchildren of his friends and not the friends themselves. the life of an elemental master is fleeting. he knows this. and yet losing another generation - another new family - is just as painful as it was the first time.
do you ever think about lloyd thumbing through the pages of his uncle’s journals, cole blowing the dust off photos from the box marked “lilly” in his father’s attic, zane running his fingers over the space where his power core used to be, kai and nya having their bi-monthly dinner with their parents where maya laughs as ray tells stories about people they haven’t seen in decades. do you ever think about how jay’s friends know more about his birth mother than he does. and none of them ever realise. do you ever think about the merge and how the way things used to be is ending. powers fade and new generations rise to take up the mantle. the life of an elemental master is fleeting, yes. but the lives of a group of friends who have fought for each other through thick and thin are not.

SPINJITZU BROTHERS ‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️
Let's draw more Garmadon and Wu, their relationship is worth noting, especially in the books, where the brother's fears and personalities are better revealed

Are we not gonna talk about how the only people that stayed dead in Ninjago were Jay's biological parents and God?
OK cool.

There's a lot of aged tea being spill...
I think it's funny to think Wu and Garmadon will talk about a lot of stories and old drama so casually as if they were not decades to centuries old.

Korra's relationships with world leaders are so funny like:
-Korra has had falling outs with her father, the Chief of the Southern Water Tribe. Not that serious but hey.
-Korra has argued (several times) with Tenzin, leader of the Air Nation and one of the former councilmen of Republic City. Again not that serious but hey.
-Korra literally argued with and fought and was bloodbent Tarrlok, another councilman of Republic City.
-Korra fought (and kind of killed) her uncle Unalaq, the Chief of the Northern Water Tribe. She also fought her cousins Eska and Desna, the current Chiefs.
-Korra's relationship with Raiko —president of the United Republic— was so good (sarcastic) that they both argued and yelled at each other in public and he banished her from Republic City for the entirety of Book 3. At least she gets along with Zhu Li now.
-Korra got along so well with the Earth Queen (also sarcastic) that she yelled at her, organized a prison break and ended up being a fugitive in the Earth Kingdom. At least she's chill with Wu.
-Korra fought Kuvira —who was also leader of the Earth Kingdom/Empire/whatever—. Twice.
Basically, the only nation that hasn't had a leader with whom Korra hasn't had any beef with (serious or unserious)... is the Fire Nation. She's yelled at, argued with or physically fought any kind of leader from all nations except the Fire Lord. Which is a big contrast with Aang lmao.

I haven't gotten to read Shatterspin yet, but here are some doodles I made well waiting for the comic book store to open.

Garmadon and Misako are the only ones who can call out Wu's BS because he's always been like this.
Yes, I just finished Possession and Morro is another example of Wu not telling his students everything they should know! ARE THERE ANY OTHER SECRETS YOU HIDING OLD MAN??
Just a funny sketch I did in between work. While Lloyd has magically aged up, he still has some of his immature nature and has yet to grow out of his "ew my parents' open affectionate display". Though to be honest, it is more canon that he wouldn't really care and be more pleased to see them showing love for each other. Especially, growing up without them and his family in constant turmoil.
