One thing I've noticed about starv1ng, is that, it numbs me emotionally. When I haven't eaten, I can't even muster up the energy it takes to cry, or feel upset, or get angry. I feel nothing at all. It's like there's some kind of fog that falls over my brain, almost like a blanket. A sort of blanket that I can pull over my head at night to make the monsters go away. Then as soon as I eat again, the blanket is yanked away and I am exposed. It's like all the emotions come crashing back and all those feelings resurface again. I've realised I don't only starve to just lose weight anymore. I crave that peace of mind, that numbing feeling only starv1ng brings me. It's oddly comforting. It's a place where I am safe.
