That was 2020 though so it’s possible his perspective has changed.

Thank youuu! And that's exactly my point, all he's saying are good things about therapy and he said he didn't want to do it to deal with grief. Which is very different from the idea some people have of him, hating therapy and thinking it's showing weakness and whatever. He's always been quite supportive of the idea and he talked about mental health several times. And yes, that could have changed after this interview. If I'm not mistaken, Harry talked about going to therapy for the first time in late 2019, so it's something new for him as well. And it's a process, as someone who's been in therapy for over 15 years, it's not pleasant, it's hard, and it takes a lot for you to truly compromise to it. Maybe Louis is on his own process as well.

Plus, maybe it's because the artists are very americanalized these days - young Louis while in 1D included - but I feel like Louis being very unapologetically british and proud of that scares the shit out of some people and causes a lot of misinterpretations. I hope his documentary can help people understand that about him...

iwtv has a lot of strengths, but the complexity of each character is completely astounding. every single one of them, lestat, louis, claudia and armand have done terrible things, and i can understand and empathise with the motivations and reasoning behind every single terrible decision. they all hurt each other in their own ways, they all have their own unhealed tragedy and weakness, and i love every single one of them so dearly. with no spoilers, this sort of characterisation is PERFECTED in episode 5. i genuinely dont think i could name a show that does complex characters quite like iwtc, because holy fuck man.

Modern Louis might be vampire of all time idk something about his cold, overly controlled mannerisms and house of concrete and stone is morbidly appealing to me sorry. He has his own wing at the airport, he has a blood farm, he shares the same private doctor as the prime minister, he has dozens of servants at his beck and call, he wanted to revisit the memories of his first marriage that destroyed every fiber of his being and his partner of 70+ years said yes of course baby let's do that, he's pyrokenetic, his walls are lined with stolen art, he's writing a novel-sized suicide note in purple prose, and most importantly, he wears matching blacks.

"try something for me, mon cher" is thee scene of the show actually, because it tapped into the sexiest loustat dynamic there is. by which i mean it gave us louis feeling fun and flirty, cocky as all hell because he can get lestat to do whatever he wants if he just bats his eyelashes and asks him charmingly enough, and it gave us lestat going "omg babe you like me enough to manipulate me... true love is real" i love you gay people
