Just finished Love In The Air (including the special epsiode) so here's my verdict:

Please note that the only other Thai BL I've watched so far is KinnPorsche so that's the only thing I can compare it to. That being said, it's no KinnPorsche - nothing will ever come close to KinnPorsche (other than Man Suang probably) - but it was sooo good.

The plot was a bit uncomfortable at times - consent was questionable in some instances and I'm not really a fan of the romanticization of jealousy and/or co-dependency - BUT the impressive production quality, phenomenal acting, insanely quotable dialogue, brilliant and nuanced characters and captivating chemistry really made up for it.

I fell in love with the characters and actors more than the story itself and I will remember them for much longer than any plot point or questionable power dynamic.

This series gets two big ol' thumbs up from me!! ❤️ I laughed, I cried, I screamed, I blushed - a total emotional rollercoaster and I loved it. Definitely worth watching. ❤️

Who said autumn was the season of cold weather coming back and leaves falling from the trees on this side of the hemisphere? Because this autumn, we were served with one of the hottest shows ever, so hot that it could warm your heart in a second! I know you guys didn’t miss it out but in case you did, here’s a short review to make you crave for Love in the air in a few words. I swear you will run to watch it after reading that paper, thinking you were a fool for missing such a needed thing in life to make it complete.

Rain is a student in architecture. Very innocent and a little dense, he is easy to tease for someone who likes playing people they have a liking for. His carefree side will create trouble for him, and intensify the sparkles in his relationship with his soon-to-be boyfriend. Crossing paths with Payu, one the most handsome senior of his faculty, he will start to see him more and more due to what seems to be coincidences to him. But the more he gets to know him, the more he finds himself drawn to this charismatic man who makes him discover a way of love he didn’t think he had in him. Letting go of his attempt to seduce the Belle of his prom, he will realise soon enough that he might as well have someone else in mind, for an experience he doesn’t have control over at all.

Left alone at one of the races Rain asked him to bring him along, Sky will also find himself drawn to a man he never thought he would have a chance to get close to. With a darker past that will give him many hardships in his new relationship, Sky is initially reluctant to let Prapai, Payu’s best friend and a renowned playboy, into his life. Trying to heal himself while allowing him to experience love, Sky’s relationship with Prapai is not nearly as smooth as Rain and Payu’s. Facing their insecurities and fears, they will have to dive into themselves to find a safe ground for their overwhelming feelings for each other.

Giving you the high intensity of a passionate relationship, Love in the air doesn’t lack in delivering an interesting story with well-construct characters to whom you will quickly become attached to. Using a classic picture in BL couples, the sweetness the two couples deliver will make you yearn for more of them. Excellently played, you feel the quality of the direction through those way-too-short 13 episodes, making it one of the reasons this series is so good.

Through this use of unoriginal patterns, they perfectly manage to shine a light on what makes it unoriginal and people coming back to it. Delving into the feelings of love from four different points of view, the highlight of the series on the chemistry between the lovers and their feelings is a success. Trust me, you won’t be able to get free from it!

Perfect for lazying around, this easy-going but not-too-simple story will make you feel hard the loneliness of being single. Don’t get me wrong. Even if you feel this way, you won’t be able to stop yourself from rewatching it. You will slowly drown in this sweet addiction of not being able to go on from a show that made you feel the feeling you were craving. A piece of advice: don’t spend one more day not knowing Love in the air. You will regret it later.

I know this comes very late, but the amount of people I see complaining about Sky and his behavior towards Prapai… Ya'll Y'ALL

They had a one-night stand THREE months ago and it was technically Prapai taking advantage of Sky's vulnerable situation… It wasn't even a "uuuh Sky likes him and wants to sleep with him"

They slept once… THREE months ago and Prapai goes like the stalker he is and gets Sky's phone number through a friend (which I'm not even gonna talk about how bad of a friend Rain is) Then he calls him in the creepiest of ways and basically tells him "I'm going to pursue you" even though Sky has no clue who it is...

Then Sky proceeds to reject him MULTIPLE TIMES but Prapai continues to "pursue" him.

Then we, the audience get an insight on Sky's past. We have an idea of what happened to him, and we see that he is not completely oblivious to Prapai. But he was hurt and abused, and he no longer wants to open his heart because he believes he'll get hurt and abuse again (which AGAIN their relationship started with a one-night stand that Sky didn't even wanted).

Aren't we tired of seeing a character that's so good and pure and gets hurt, abused and then has a stalker who he softly starts to like because said stalker does not "give up on love" and keeps persisting? Aren't we tired...?

Why am I watching it then? BECAUSE I LOVE SKY!!! and I want to see him happy. okay? Now let me complain.

I know is a series and we'll eventually get to the part where they're together. All I'm observing is the amount of people that feel no empathy towards Sky and simply want him to move on and be with Prapai.

As if you could walk away from traumas that easily!!! You wake up one day and leave all your suffering in a corner and MOVE ON. Honey, if it was that easy, we wouldn't be here… suffering, pretending like we have no issues and we're fine while we die a little bit inside every day.

It's especially difficult when you're not talking about it and it simply suffocates you... like Sky, he ain't talking about it… it's not an easy thing to talk about... and he doesn't know who to talk to... he's the one that's there for his friends… but he feels like no one's there for him, that he has to take care of other's feelings and emotions... Which is why he'll fall for Prapai.

Now, listen we know Prapai we know he's not a bad dude… He takes care of his siblings; he takes care of his job… he's an okay guy… except for the stalking. But we know they're gonna end up together. We know it

but all I want to say to the people complaining about Sky's behavior is IT DOES NOT MATTER HOW "FINE" SOMEONE IS IF YOU DON'T WANT THEIR ATTENTION, IT'S CREEPY… IT'S STALKING… IT'S NOT CUTE, IT'S NOT OKAY, IT ISN'T!

IT'S GIVING DISNEY PRINCES CONFINING SOMEONE ON A TOWER.

So, leave Sky alone...

The amount of youtubers reactions I haven't been able to watch cause every time I hit play on the video, they are complaining about sky… YA'LL WHAT? Like, you have a platform honey… don't enable this behavior. It's okay if you like watching this type of series… that's your preference but please don't attack characters like this. Eventually the couple is gonna be together… you know it, I know it, everybody does… If they don't end up together, now that will be a surprise. But the story is unfolding, and you have to see the red flags even if you're color blind sweety. come on!
