something about qbad mentioning how much horror he put red team thru every time purgatory gets brought up... something about how proud dapper was of him.

like this is just my late-night read but- it feels like guilt qbad is trying to twist into pride. he keeps needling away at it. “i killed them all, over and over and over again.” “they were hunted by a monster.”

it’s like- reassurance. like a nail he’s trying o beat into his head. he’s had SO much trouble with legitimately hurting his friends, despite making that vow all the way back when the eggs first went missing, despite all the tree talk and the promises to save the kids no matter what. He never faltered with elq, and that protected them. He keeps faltering now. Sometimes he doesnt remember the code, or cucurucho, or skeppy. But that doesnt matter, right? Because he’ll protect the eggs. When driving in and around residential areas or anywhere there might be pedestrians, always drive extra carefully, be more mindful of following the speed limit, be extra careful about going around corners or approaching anywhere with pedestrian crossing especially if there's low visibility due to things like bushes and trees. In short, don't be afraid to drive like a little old grandparent anywhere residential where there might be pedestrians.

Speed limits are lower in residential areas for a reason, and that's because it reduces pedestrian injuries and deaths when you drive more carefully when people might be around and crossing the street. You never know when a small child chasing a ball or a pet who broke loose from the house might run into the street, and your abiding the speed limit and driving mindfully could be the difference between life and death in these scenarios. Even if a fully grown adult is just walking or biking to the store they deserve to do so safely without being injured or killed by a speeding car whipping around corners without looking where they're going.

This all also applies to other motorized forms of transportation, such as electric scooters, as you're also at risk of hitting and injuring or even killing pedestrians and cyclists.

A question for the fans:

Do many people actually think that Claudia has both the mind and body of a child here? Because I thought that Claudia made it clear that while she'd be stuck in a babydoll body, her mind would age just fine. But I still see people who really think this. Considering that Claudia also has the metabolism of a 14 year old, you could make the philosophical argument that since the mind and body are connected and inseparable from one another, if the body is 14 then the mind is 14. But like still....we see Claudia mentally and emotionally grow throughout the series, despite her body remaining the same, so that defeats that argument. Louis once says to Daniel that Claudia spent every night for half a decade locked in the emotional storm of puberty, but that's Louis's perspective.

People will really point to Claudia's supposed temper tantrums, self-centredness, and occasional recklessness and think yeah she's really stuck in the mind of a 14 year old no grown up would act like that! (never mind that the immense trauma she's suffered might have something to do with it). But then what does a "typical" 14 year old versus grown up mind even look like? Like there's no concrete answer to that without potentially getting into an ableist/eugenics area. Just because Claudia has different requirements than other vampires doesn't mean she's ACTUALLY mentally 14. Which explains why she's pissed when she's regulated to the role of a child despite being 18, 20, 33, 42, etc.

Like I really thought people thought the quote "picked someone else over me" meant Louis was leaving her at risk of danger by choosing a romantic companion who could hurt her in the future, NOT that Louis should stay single to look after Claudia for the rest of his life. Like do people think Claudia needs so much care to the point that Louis shouldn't romantically be with another person, even if they're a nice one, or do people think Claudia is hurt because Louis didn't choose her to be his companion, his equal, even though they couldn't be romantic anyways?

This is a silly idea but with how Penelope scams the suitors and makes them give her more things I'm a suitor too. I will give you my fucking wallet, Penelope. I wonder if when Odysseus is back with all the gifts and items (the oxen for example, as she was trying to restock on what they had and basically tricking the suitors into bringing their own meals) It'd be kind of funny if she suddenly has a lot of livestock but doesn't have the room because she was expecting 108 freeloaders.
