Honestly one of the hardest part of being aroace or acespec/arospec is having to tone down how much I love. I love making people feel cared for. I remember little details about people. I just want to be a place of comfort and love.

But we live in such a romantic/sex centric society that if you're too nice, or remember too much, you must be interested in them.

The number of times I'm just being my loving self and people interpret it as romantic interest is exhausting.

so i watched everything everywhere all at once again yesterday and having seen the movie before made the line “you have unlimited potential because you’re so bad at everything,” which when I initially watched hit like a joke, wreck me. the idea that having hopes and dreams and hobbies that are half pursued isn’t wasted time rather proof that you yourself are limitless just. yeah. leave me be please.

At the brink of their death, alone, they apologise for themself for always pushing themself so harshly, never caring for nor being gentle with themself and say to a mirror "I am sorry it took me this long to realise it, and I promise that for these last seconds, I finally love you"

They kiss themself on the arm and their learned self-love breaks the curse.
