I haven't talked about Francetto a lot lately (BUT only 5 chapters away from a finished IP rewrite, so Watch Out), but I haven't thought in a loooooong time about their weird fighting kink. Like, how they just love to sratch and bite and push and shove and actually wrestle for the upper hand, because it gives Dolco a sense of worth and superiority AND he likes Franci being evil and Franci likes harsh physicality and he likes em feisty. Plus, whatever makes Dolco happy and helps him cope. (No matter how unhealthy.)

Still the best thing to come out of this is like. The rest of Team Italy kind of knowing. Doesn't matter if Franci told any of them, they like. Know. and while Rella and Fabio tactfully, if slightly concerned at times, ignore it, the Vargas are just like. Ok, I have kinda two scenarios??

The first one that comes to mind if a little vague, but I can't help to think something a bit like Hocus Pocus in which Martín, his baby bro Sebas and his bf/crush Luciano bring back some witches through a ritual a la Hocus Pocus's Black Flame candle being needed to be lit during a full moon Halloween night by a virgin. They fool around and complete the ritual, and well nothing was supposed to happen since Martín was supposed to be a lady killer but he isn't so he ends up summoning these witches which idk I guess can be Francis, Antonio and Gilbert??

The second one is even vaguer, and I guess it can be some vampire blind date and virgin sacrifice.

Some talented author needs to write a fic or a comic needs to be made or something about the Italy brothers meeting the other young European nations after Rome conquered them.

I mean, to Feliciano and Lovino their grandpa is just that: Grandpa Rome. A figure of kindness, stability, and paternal love. Someone to play with, ruffle their hair, pick them up when they’ve fallen and scraped their knees, crack funny jokes, and tuck them in at night. They’ve probably heard of his greatness but it’s more an abstract concept to them. Vague and far away beyond the city’s marble walls. Little kids don’t know much about the jobs their parents or guardians have out in the “real world.” The twins are sheltered in every sense of the word.

Then, one day, grandpa starts bringing others like them back to their house. Strange, scruffy children with odd clothes, garbled speech, tear stained cheeks, and wide, frightened eyes. Grandpa Rome is smiling as he lifts them off his horse and tells his grandsons he’s brought new friends to live with them. New little brothers and sisters to play with. Hispania, Gallia, Britannia, the list goes on. One by one, Rome brings them all back to the capital. New friends for his boys to look after. Look after and teach. They’re silly and backward and don’t know how to live well or even speak properly yet. What grandpa calls “barbarians,” poor things. But they can learn if they watch how it’s done in Rome, yes? Grandpa’s good boys will help them learn to be good too.

Feli and Lovi eagerly agree. They love grandpa and want to make him proud. But these odd children are so strange and difficult. For a start, they can’t even look at grandpa without cowering. Some of them hiding their faces and bursting into tears when he so much as enters a room. Feli is disheartened, Lovi is angry, both are confused. Why would anyone be afraid of their grandpa? Grandpa is kind and brave and his laugh fills the room: merry and infectious. Everyone in Rome loves grandpa. What is wrong with these strange, backward children that they act like he’s some terrible monster to be afraid of? Some of them start to come round eventually. Start to become more affectionate to Rome and maybe even begin calling him “grandpa” too. Yet, under it, conflict. Under the newfound love, a guilt and self-loathing that the twins can’t understand. Even sweet natured Feli starts to feel a little resentful at how ungrateful they are. Grandpa has adopted them and made them Roman, the best thing in the world to be. Everyone says so. Even their sort-of brothers and sisters have to admit there’s nothing in their lands that can hold a candle to the splendours of Rome at its peak. So why are they still being difficult? Why do they keep trying to run away so grandpa has to ride out and bring them back, over and over? Why won’t they love grandpa the way he loves them?

Young and innocent, the twins never noticed the bruises and bloodstains. Never questioned the whip marks. Never saw the chains.

Making Rome an Ace in my cardverse came with certain difficulties, since Aces - are the Saint Patrons of kingdoms, some sort of local Gods. So I didn't want to waste this opportunity, not implementing this fact in both Itabros. After couple days of brainstorm, I decided to make them both a god descendents, whose sole task is to resolve the coming global threat and direct the events of fate according to the divine plan, while not letting the humans reveal themselves. For this plan to work, they needed at least some power on their hands, so they are both members of the royal court. But Feli's luck was more generous, helping him to become the Jack of Hearts. Lovi was not so lucky and managed to only become the Six of Diamonds

The plural was perhaps misleading, I realize now, because just like in your post, GerIta IS the secret!

I've recently wrote this fanfic for Ashley's birthday and I'd be very happy if you read it! (But I'm not your mom, you can do whatever you want).

It's set in my Human/Organized Crime AU - so not Gangstatalia, but the real deal.

And Ludwig and Feliciano, hell, pretty much all the HWS characters and my HWS OCs were pretty young when they were thrown into the shark tank, so you can imagine the pressure that they're under. 18 and aside from all the other stress and nightmare inducing shit, in this AU they're also under so much scrutiny. I've explained the basics of the AU in much more detail in this post, but in short, the Organized Crime Part is also influenced by the way aristocracy works, the aspect of stately diplomacy carries over from Hetalia.

Which is how you end up with two 18 year olds, whose flirting is suddenly the talk of the European town and everyone has opinions and projecting their own fears, expectations and problems onto it. Secrecy is a must - here is an excerpt from the fanfic:

“I’m not! People would just talk, no matter what happens!” Feliciano had learnt that by now, which made it much harder to hide his personal goals from everyone. It used to be so easy, mere months ago. In another life, where secrets were harmless fun, a right – not a necessity or a privilege.

The first chapter is four vignettes of various HWS Characters' and their OC friends' impression and thoughts on the relationship. I have it on good authority that it really enhances the teenage awkwardness and tender but eager love of the second chapter, but if you really only want GerIta and their sweet little secrets, then you can also just read chapter 2.

Hi!! So I want to say it was 2011 when I got into it. I was an avid Flipnote lurker and I continuously saw the characters being mentioned there, so I decided to finally check it out, and the rest was history.

So I think Romano actually isn’t super lazy like how he’s depicted living with Spain. I think he gets his hands dirty when he needs to, and he’s actually surprisingly decent at caring for plants, especially the common crops of Sicily. I also think he loves to sing and arguably sings better than Feli, and sometimes can be caught singing while he’s harvesting crops. Speaking of harvesting, I think Lovi and Feli have a small farm with olive trees, and every year they make their own olive oil. Romano does a lot of the initial work, and Italy joins in for the harvest and processing. I can imagine Romano being particular about his olive oil, and being able to tell good product from bad. “If it doesn’t burn the crap out of your throat when it goes down, it’s shit.”

Also, Romano likes dogs better than cats. Idk why but that’s just the vibe he has in my head lol. And he’s a crazy driver. Has no problem cutting people off and whipping around turns. Road lanes are suggestions. But he does it skillfully. You’re def at least mildly concerned for your life when you’re a passenger, but he never gets into accidents.

I think Seborga tries to smoke when he’s with the others but it secretly hurts his throat and he doesn’t really inhale.
