Mini Fanfic #1082: Bunny. (Persona 5 X SSBU)

Easter.

For some, it's a celebration to Christianity, to others, it's a holiday dedicated to a bunny who has traveled far and wide to place it's eggs to various hiding spots for children to go out of their way to search for them, hoping for any candy or chocolates hidden inside each one. But for Shiho Suzui however,, it would unfortunately be a constant reminder of the trauma she had to endure in the past, the former gym teacher who had given her emotional, physical pain to begin with, and.... a bunny suit of some kind.

It's been a while since the day she nearly took her life away and while it started out slow, the road to recovery has gotten a smoother as of late thanks to frequent therapy sessions and the love and support she receives from her family, friends, and Ann Takamaki, the girl she grew up with since childhood and has gradually fell in love with her ever since.

But even in her better days, the repressed memories of Suguru Kamoshida and all the pain and torment he had given her in the past would always find some way to rear it's ugly head through her psyche, eating her up inside until it would eventually make her self-destruct.

Now, here she is: sitting in the Smash Mansion's dining halls, contemplating on her past trauma while everyone else is having a good time celebrating the holiday among themselves

Was coming here really a mistake? Wouldn't been better if she stayed back at the apartment instead?

Sure, being coped up alone in there would suck....

And it definately wouldn't demolished any negative memories she's currently thinking about, but-

Shiho: Huh!? (Eyes Widened as Sge Comes Back to Reality and Sees Lucas Staring at Her) Oh, Lucas? What brings you in here? Wasn't your Egg Hunt Challenge supposed to start by now?

Lucas: It was, but Uncle Dedede and Mr. Escargoon hasn't finished setting up the hiding spots for the eggs yet, so we have to wait for another minute or two. (Frowns a Bit Worryingly) You started spacing out again. (Grabs his Chin) A few seconds longer than you originally did this morning actually.....

Shiho: ('Sigh') Tell me about it....(Quickly Puts on a Sheepish yet Reassuring Smile as She Sees Her Sunflower's Frown Starts to Deepends) B-But really, Lucas, it's nothing! I'm sure I'll be able to get over whatever I'm thinking about in no time.

Lucas: Well, okay, but....(Gives Shiho a Big Hug) I-I'll always be here to talk to if you feel lonely, okay!?

Shiho: (Giggles Softly) I know you will, sweetie. (Hugs Lucas Back) And I couldn't be anymore happier~ But I'm not entirely alone. I have your Big Sis Ann with me!.....Wherever she is.

Lucas noticed Ann sneaking around behind them and quietly ask him to keep quiet before nodding to the command and turns back to Shiho.

Lucas: Uh....Yeah! I....wonder where Big Sis Ann has gone too!...

Shiho: She's probably at the bathroom again. (Whispers into Lucas' Ears) We both know how long she takes her sweet time in there....

Lucas giggles softly to harmless jab to Ann's dispense until the up and coming model herself covers her girlfriend's eyes

???: Gueeeeessss who!~

Lucas: (Trying his Hardest to Contain his Giggles)

Shiho: Oh great. Another blind guessing game.

???: Yeeeup!~ And since it's a very special holiday, you got yourself three clues to come up with before guessing.

Shiho: Oooh,, being generous today, aren't we?~ Well, if you insist. Do you happen to haaaaaave.....blonde hair?

???: Yep!

Shiho: A lovable personality?

???: Yep-Yep!

Shiho: And have a smile that could bright up the whole room right now?

???: Correctamundo!~

Shiho: 'Got all three clues right, huh? (Starts Nodding in Satisfaction) Nice, nice. So, I guess that means you might beeeeeee....(Smiles Brightly) Ryuji?~

???: That's righ- (Eyes Begins to Widened) Wait. RYUJI!?

Lucas: (Finally Let Loose and Giggle Up a Storm)

Shiho: Yep!~ As in Ryuji Sakamoto. You're him right?

???: Um NO! This is certainly NOTRyuji Sakamoto! I'm wayyyy cuter than he wishes he could try to be. Now, guess again, wise woman!

Shiho: (Burst Out Laughing) Pffhahahahahaha!

???: I hear laughing, not guessing.

Shiho: (Tries Dying Down her Laugher) Ann, I know it's you behind me.

Ann: You sure about that? (Moves Her Hands Away From Shiho's Eyes Before Revealing Herself To Her With a Pouty Look on her Face) Cause you seemed pretty sure I'm Mr.Skull Boi over there.

Ryuji: (Walks By) Don't hate me cuz I'm more prettier than you, pigtails!

Ann: (Glares at Ryuji) Up yours, dumb and yellow! (Hears Lucas Laughing Before Pouting at Him Next) And YOU mister, have some nerve laughing at me right now!

Lucas: (Tries Dying Down his Laughing) Heh sorry!~ You were so hilarious that I couldn't help myself.

Ann: Hmmmmmmmm.....I suppose I could let you off the hook for now. (Raised an Eyebrow) IF you declare me as your favorite Big Sis.

Lucas: ('Sigh') Oh geez.....

Shiho: (Gasps Before Pouting Back at the Pigtailed Blonde) Ann Takamaki, you know better than to ask our little sunflower that! (Crosses Her Arms Together) Besides, it's obvious that I'M his favorite out of the two of us.

Ann: In your dreams! I'm his favorite!

Shiho: No, I am!

Ann: I am!

Lucas: Girls, please. Both of you are my favorites. Now stop fighting or-

Ness:(In the Distance) Lucas! The Egg Hunt is about to start any minute now! Let's go!

Lucas: Coming! (Turns to the Couple) I gotta get going now. You two behave yourselves and Ann, make sure Shiho doesn't feel lonely right now, okay?

Ann: (Salutes to Lucas) 'Aye aye, Captain Sunflower!~ (Happily Hugs Shiho)

Shiho: (Giggles Softly) Lucas, I told you I'll be fine.

Lucas: (Smiles Softly) I know. Just wanted to make sure just in case. (Gives Both Ann and Shiho a Kiss on Their Respective Cheeks One By One Before Sprinting Off and Waving Goodbye For Now) I'll find us many eggs and treats as I can!

Ann/Shiho: (Waves Back at Lucas) 'Kay! Good Luck!

Shiho: ('Sigh') I love that boy so much~

Ann: Don't we all~ Now tell me what up?

Shiho: Uh....(Quickly Turns Away From Ann) N-Nothing. Nothing's wrong.

Ann: (Softly Glares at Shiho) Come on, don't lie to me. There's gotta to be a reason why Lucas told me to look after you, ya know?

Shiho: ('Sigh') Okay, fine. You win. I was....actually thinking about.....the incident again....

Ann: (Glare Falters into a Frown) Oh....Are you okay?

Shiho: Sort of? I mean, I was feeling really bumped out till you and Lucas got here. But I don't feel like crying my eyes out either, so....there's that at least.

Ann: ('Sigh') Yeah. And on the bright side, you have gotten a lot better handling yourself since then.

Shiho: I have. I just wish that incident didn't make me have more distaste for the holiday and almost everything bunny related than usual. ('Groans') And don't even get me STARTED on the bunny suits, I hate those stupid things!

Ann: (Gently Squeezes Shiho's Hand) I know. It's a royal pain the ass to think about, but you can't let it get to you forever, Shiho.

Shiho: (Takes a Deep Breath to Calm Herself Down) Yeah.... You're right. I made it too far to quit now. Shall wanna beat Kamoshida to a pulp though.....

Ann: You and me both, sister. But he's still in the slammer now and we don't have to see his disgusting mug ever again if you don't want to.

Shiho: I'm sure that will never happen in a million years. (Starts Getting Nervous) At....least I hope it wouldn't......

Ann: (Gives Shiho a Gently Yet Loving Hug) We have a so much ahead of in our lives than to be worried about a creep like him all day. New places, our potential career paths, Ren-Ren and Makoto's wedding-

Shiho: (Starts Snickering) You're still on about that?

Ann: Hell yeah! These two been acting and getting down and dirty like one for the longest now. One of them HAS to get on one knee and propose to the other sooner or later!

Shiho: Look, I'm all for betting money's on Makoto to do whole ordeal, but don'tcha think we should be focusing on our future wedding by now? I got an idea on who could be the flower person.

Ann: For real? Who?

Shiho turns to Ann with a sly smirk on her Face in silence.

Ann: (Squints her Eyes a Bit at Shiho) Uh....why are you giving me that-

Shiho: Welcome, one and all to another game of Guess Who? This time starring yours truly!~

Ann: (Facepalms Herself While Sighing) Goddammit, I should've known. Are we seriously doing this right now?

Shiho: Yep! You made me guess who you were, so it's your turn to guess who Flower Person instead.

Ann: (Rolls her Eyes While Sighing Again) Alright, fine, I'll play your little game....Is this Flower Person you're going on about, even a girl?

Shiho: Nope. It's a boy actually.

Ann: (Genuinely Surprise) Really?

Shiho: Mhmm. Want any hints?

Ann: (Shrugs) I guess. Can't really think of anyone at the moment.

Shiho: He's short, has blonde, and a smile that could rival yours in cuteness. And no, it's not Ryuji this time.

Ann: ('Sighs in Relief') Oh thank god. He's too much of a numbskull to play the part.

Ryuji: (Glares at Ann While Walking By) Will you stop roasting me!?

Ann: Never! (Sticks her a Tongue Out The Older Blonde)

Shiho: You can antagonize him later, Ann. I'm still waiting for my answer.

Ann: (Turns Back to Shiho) Alright, alright, I'll give it to you. (Grabs her Chin While Thinking) Now, given the description you've given me.....('Gasps') Is it our Baby Boi Lucas then?~

Shiho: (Smiles Brightly) You guessed right. I figured since he's fond of sunflower, maybe we can have him toss a handful of them down the aisle.

Ann: ('GASPS') We could have ourselves a sunflower themed wedding!~ (Happily Squeals as She Excitedly Claps Her Hands) It would be so cozy and wonderful!~

Shiho: Hey, if it's the kind of wedding theme you wanna go with, then let's go for it. I'm down for whatever makes you happy.

Ann: (Happily Hugs her Girlfriend) You sweetheart~ Thank you so much~

Shiho: (Hugs Ann Back) No problem. If anything I should be thanking you for keeping me company. I needed this.

Ann: (Smiles Brightly) I'm glad I was able to help you at all. You're my everything, Shiho-Kins. I'll do anything for you. (Gives Shiho a Kiss on the Head)

Shiho: (Heart Begins to Melt in Pure Happiness) I know. (Starts Snuggling Up on Ann) I'll do the same for you too, Ann Bear. Always.

I think both the movie and anime of Scott pilgrim are really good and have their own charm. I love that the characters in the anime are more likeable (the exs) and make me care about them more and I'm more interested in their stories as well, but in the movie I love the fight scenes and the video game animations and that stuff. Also the real life actors make it feel alive in a way the anime/comic can't. But the anime also goes deeper into Ramona's character than the movie does. All I'm saying is I really like both despite having slightly different stories. And in both wallace wells carries the series.

also I haven't read the comic yet but I want to so I hope to start that soon

Kumatora: (Crosses her Arms While Stabding Next to Duster) So, you two must be the 'Big Sisters' Lucas been telling us.

Ann: (Happily Nodded at Her Two Guests) That's right!~ My name is Ann Takamaki. And this right here is my amazing, queen of a girlfriend, Shiho Suzhi.

Shiho: (Politely Bows to the Duo) Pleased to meet you both.

Duster: (Smiles Back at the Two Young Ladies) Same here. The name's Duster.

Kumatora: (Smiles Brightly) Princess Kumatora, at your service! And now with introductions out of the way......(Teleported her Way to a Nearby Table and Seats Behind it With her Hand Up and Elbow on the Taable with a Competitive Smirk to Boot) Put 'her up.

Ann: (Stares at the Princess With a Very Confused Look on her Face) I'm......sorry?

As the countdown comes to pass, the two girls tighten up their grips as finally begins their arm wrestling competition, already showing no signs of resistance to backing down from both sides.

Duster: (Watches the Arm Wrestling in the Mid Distance Along With Ann) They're really taking this whole arm wrestling thing this seriously, huh?

Ann: I'll say. I've never seen Shiho get this fired up since most of the volleyball matches she took part in.

Shiho: (Holds Up the Finger From her Other Hand Finger Up While Still Arm Wrestling Kumatora) Which I won almost all of them, thank you very much!

Kumatora: Not a bad accomplishment I must admit. (Smirks Again) Bet I can beat you four to five rounds Ina volleyball match one of these days. One on one, no gimmicks.

Shiho: ('Gasps') You are SO ON!

Duster: Kuma, do you have to keep challenging every new faces we meet?

Kumatora: (Turns to Duster) Hey. I don't do that to literally EVERY new faces we meet! Just the ones that peaks my curiousity and interest. Like the volleyball girl over here. (Smirks at Shiho Again) She's actually giving me a good time right now!

Ann: (Happily Nodded) Yep. The Phantom Thieves. My crew and I ventured throughout the Mementos to steal people hearts. N-Not actual, real life hearts! But the ones that would feed off of those who are corrupted in some way or another.

Duster: I...see. Did you kids ever find or steal any treasures along the way?

Ann: Yeah, but we'd used them to go out to eat and shop. We'd even used it to help Mr. Sojiro pay a few bills around his cafe sometimes, but that's basically about it. Are you also a well known thief yourself, Duster-san?

Duster: (Simply Nodded) Yeah, but just a.... regular, run of the mill thief actually. (Starts Rubbing Beneath his Nose in a Bit of a Cocky Like Manner) Not to brag or anything, but I came from a pretty long line of thievery in the family tree. Sure, my training to become one was exhausting at first and I would always wind up with the shortest end of the stick whenever I tried to steal something more valuable than a couple bags of money , but still....(Smiles a Little) I think I've learned a lot in the past eighteen years.

Kumatora: Of being an average thief?

Duster: (Turns Back to Kuma With a Glare) Of being a professional! I've found and stolen tons of desirable stuff in my time, especially when I kept risking my life going on death seeking adventures with you little twerps!

Kumatora: Yeah, with OUR help! Otherwise, you would be having you're old man chewing your ear off all day and night.

Duster: (Groans While Rolling his Eyes in Annoyance) ('Ugggh') Please don't remind me of my pa right now. My ears are still recovering from his yelling last night.........

Kumatora: Seriously? For what?

Duster: Forgetting to buy him a pack of jawbreakers from the grocery store.

Kumatora: (Snickers a Bit) Pretty sure that's a good thing you forget. His teeth might fall off if he eats them all day.

Duster: That's what I've been telling him back home! But he still called me a "Useless idiot" as per usual, so.....

Ann: (Crosses her Arms With a Disapproved Frown on her Face) Hey, we don't think you're anything like that at all.

Shiho: (Tirns her Head to Duster) Yeah, you seem like a really nice guy, Mr. Dust-ERRR!? (Suddenly Felt her Arm Going Down to the Table Before She Was Able to Get it From Touching it at the Very Last Second)

Kumatora: (Playfully Smirks at her Opponent) Careful, Shiho~ You're slipping.

Shiho: ('Groans in Annoyance') I noticed!

Kumatora: (Looks Back at Duster Woth a Reassuring Smile) And don't worry about that old coot. Lucas and I still think you're cool, thief or not.

Duster: (Starts Smiling a Little) Thanks, girls. Really. (Turns Back to Ann) But speaking of which, how exactly did you and Shiho first met Lucas anyways?

Ann: We met back in Smash Town, during that whole World of Light fiasco that happened three or four years ago.

Kumatora: You mean that time you guys had to fight some evil light and dark entity or whatever they were called?

Ann: Galeem and Dharkon? They're the ones. We helped each other freeing everyone under their control and fighting them off. Then after all of that mess was done and over with, we started to hanging out and getting to know about one another more. (Clasps her Hands Together While Puting on a Loving Smile on her Face) It wasn't long for our sweet little Sunflower to start seeing Shiho-Kins and I as the big sisters we are to him now~

Kumatora: (Raises an Eyebrow in Confusion) Wait. You guys call him "Sunflower"?

Shiho: (Happily Nodded) Mmhmm. He has yellow hair, usually wears a yellow and orange stripe shirt, and likes actual sunflowers. We couldn't really think of another nickname to give him besides that honestly.

Duster: Hmm....Not gonna lie...(Smiles Softly) It kind of sounds perfect for him.

Kumatora: Yeah. I think so too. (Smiles Softly at the Thought of Lucas) Our little Sunflower......

A giant, golden ring suddenly appears in the living room as it shows Lucas and Ashley walking out of it.

Lucas: (Happily Waves at Everyone in the Room) Hey guys.

Everyone: Lucas!~

Kumatora: (Smiles Brightly at the Young PSI User) Hey buddy- Ah! (Suddenly Felt her Arm Slammed Down on the Table)

Shiho: (Lets Go of Kumatora's Hand as She Happily Jumps Out of her Seat Victoriously) Yatta!~ I won!~

Kumatora: (Groans While Facepalming Herself) ('Ugh') Damnit! I got distracted.

Lucas: (Starts Frowning a Little) Oh no. I didn't mean to make you lose focus, Kuma

Kumatora: Hey now, have nothing to apologize for, kid. That loss was on me, not the other way around.

Lucas: If you say so.....B-But anyways! (Went Back to Smiling) Momma Peach helped Ashley and I bake cookies for you guys.

Ashley: (Presents a Plate of Cookies in her Hands) They're pumpkin spice flavored.

Ann/Shiho: Oooh~

Kumatora: (Starts Getting Up From her Seat Along With Shiho) Pumpkin Spice you say?

Duster: Don't mind if we-

Ashley: Upupup! (Places the Plate on the Coffee Table in Front of Her) Before any of you try getting one, Lucas made a letter he would like to present to all right now. Be respectful and listen or I will hex every last one of you into oblivion.....

The room immediately when to silence until a single gulp was heard in the last second.

Ann: D-Dully noted. (Chuckles Awkwardly Before Turning Back to Everyone Else) Right, guys?

Everyone else in the room quickly nodded in agreement as Shiho and Kumatora sits back down in their seats.

Ashley: (Simply Nodded) Good. (Turns Back to Lucas Woth a Bright Smile on her Face) The floor and attention are yours, dear~

Lucas: (Smiles Sheepishly at his Girlfriend) T-Thanks, Ashley. (Turns Back to Everyone Else Present in the Room as He Takes Out a Paper From his Pants and Unfolds it) Okay. Umm....(Clears Throat Before Reading the Letter)

Dear Ann, Shiho, Kuma, Duster, and Ashley,

As the day of Thanksgiving is reaching closer upon us, I've decided to wrote this letter to express how grateful I am to have each and everyone of you here in my life. You have all given me nothing but love, care, and kindness ever since the days we first me separately and I couldn't be any more happier see each of you play a part in my life one way or another. Whether if it's nurturing big sisters, the wisdoms shared by an older brother figured, or the support and affection from a significant other, I probably wouldn't be who I am now if you guys haven't made this much of an impact as you did right. And while we're not blood related, I still and will continue to consider each and everyone of you as my family, a family I would love and cherish for the rest of my life. So from the bottom of my heart and soul, I would like to thank you all for everything you've done for me up to this point and I hope the bond we share could last us for more years to come.

Lucas: (Giggles Ticklishly by the Noogies) I did actually~ I was kind of worried you guys wouldn't like it all that much at first, so I made extra sure that it would come out perfect!

Ashley: (Gently Holds Both of her Boyfriend's Hands) Honestly, Lucas, we would've still love it regardless of how it would turn out. But in the end, it doesn't change the fact that we will always love more and more as each day passes. (Kissss Lucas on the Cheek)

Ann: Yeah!

Kumatora: Exactly!

Duster: She speaks the truth.

Shiho: We love you, Lucas.

Lucas: (Almost at a Loss For Words) You guys......('Sniff') I love you too.....

Duster: You okay, sport?

Lucas: (Finally Notices a Few Tears Falling Down From his Eyes as He Quickly Uses his Arm to Wipe Them Off of his Face) Yeah! ('Sniff') Yeah. I'm fine....I promised myself not to cry a lot anymore.

Ann: (Gently Squeezes Lucas into her Embrace) Hey, you know there's nothing wrong with letting it out ever once and while, especially when you really need to.

Kumatora: And if anyone has a problem with that....(Pounds her Fists Together With a Smirk on her Face) will have my two fists to answer to. This is no Bully Lucas zone!

Ashley: (Rolls her Eyes) Really don't think that's something for you to worry about, Ms. Kumatora. (Turns Back to Lucas) But they're right, Lucas. You don't have to keep holding it in just for our sakes. We're still here giving you the love and support you need right. So please....don't be afraid to cry, at least for today.

As everyone else resumes to form a group hug around him, the young and timid PSI user's emotions was too much for him to hold on any longer. The boy has been through many hardships in his life, some of which had managed to took a toll on him for years to come. But ever since the day he found a place where he could call a new home, formed newer bonds that could last a lifetime, and a newer family that he would love, cherish, and protect for as long as he'll keep living, this not only made Lucas more happier and blessed than he was for very long time, but it also helped him be more at peace with his past and mistakes he made along the way he continues to move straight forward towards a better life and future ahead of him.
