bittersweet ~ a yandere!John Wick x fem!reader sunshine/grump coffee shop AU... Part 29 all chapters

WARNING: NSFW, SEXUAL CONTENT, YANDERE SH!T. Plz take care. I luv u all. 😘

-You dare not put it down on the big tablet on your easel where John will see, but you can’t stop yourself from drawing it out in your smaller sketchbook-journal that is easier to squirrel away under clutter, putting down marks like you mean to exorcise her from your memory. You draw her like a ghost in her field of happy white flowers, and write in the margins in your looping script, I’m sorry. I don’t know how to make him forgive you. You want me to save him but I don’t know how. I don’t fucking know how.

Maybe she’ll actually hear your plea and do something useful about it, like haunt John’s dreams instead of yours.

Maybe you’re losing your damn mind. 

You find that either way, you’re not brave enough to mention her to your captor again.

She becomes an obsession, and you keep drawing her in your little sketchbook. You’ve only ever seen one picture of her. It was in the den, but has since disappeared. Still, you feel you know the lines of her face, the brightness of her eyes. You go back to your old fixation with the ladies of Mucha, sketching her out as the Lady of the Daisies with flowing auburn hair surrounded by her stylized flowers and flowing lines.

You strive to cover your true fixation by putting down anything as quickly as you can on the easel, knowing your captor will be by for inspection. You draw sunflowers, your favorite summer bloom, something fun but you can do with your eyes closed with colorful, juicy strokes of oil pastels. You hope to keep John off the scent of the book that holds your heartfelt neuroses that you bury under piles of all your new art supplies and anything else you can find.

It was stupid, of course, to think you could really hide anything from him.

One day you find him in the chair with his legs crossed, perusing your sketch journal with one of those magnificent thunderheads of a frown.

You are certain you are fucked, when he asks, “Is this your idea of a joke?”

Trembling as you imagine what he’s going to do to you for this infraction, you answer truthfully, “No.”

He closes the book with a snap, crossing the floor to stand before you, his powerful body moving deceptively slow, the way a tiger appears slothful in the jungle.

You know he can snap you up with one bite.

You cannot stop shaking, as he peers down that straight nose at you, pinning you with black eyes that somehow burn. He does not touch you, but God. He sees everything. You just know that he sees everything, and you find you are terrified of how he’ll react.  

“Have you been snooping through my things?”

“No.” The irony of him holding your sketch diary is not lost on you, but wisely you hold your tongue.

“How did you know what she looked like?”

“You had a picture out of her, ages ago.” At least, it felt like a like a lifetime ago.

“How did you know about the daisies?”

Now you know he’s going to flip his shit. It sounds fucking absurd, even to you. Your voice can barely rasp past what feels like dried twigs in your throat to whisper, “I saw them in a dream.”

You expect him to scoff and call you a liar. But he just searches your face, his eyes a little too wild for your liking. Here we go. He’d been damn near stable the past few days, but surely this will set him off.

You close your eyes, unable to watch the unfolding of your doom. This is it. He’s going to lock you up forever. You’ll never see the light of day again. The trembling in your frame kicks up to ten, and you hug yourself just to have something to hold on to.

When his next question comes, he could push you over with a feather.

“What does she say?”

You shake your head, realizing your cheeks are wet with tears.

“Nothing. She just…offers me the flower.” Going for broke you add, “She looks so sad.”

It is the sound of tearing paper that opens your eyes; with horror you find John making confetti of your art nouveau sketch that took hours to do. However, any protest dies on your lips—if destroying the drawing appeases him, maybe he won’t take it out on you.

Without another word, just a hard look, he stalks from the room.

Only when the sound of his footsteps fade down the hall do you let out the breath you didn’t even realize you were holding, your knees quivering like leaves in a storm.

However, you are not foolish enough to believe you’re in the clear just yet.

-Later, there is no dinner. You find the kitchen cold and empty. Not sure what to make of this, you graze in the fridge, before returning to your bedroom. Not sure where John has gotten off to, you shower, then go to bed, finding yourself lying awake in the dark without him beside you, almost itchy without his steady presence in the evening at your side.

Part of it might be that you fear something is brewing, and you can’t stand the waiting…but part of it might simply be that you miss him, as fucked up as that is.

In the end, against your better judgement, you go looking.

You search the house, until the only room that is left is the garage. Silently you open the door, slipping through without a sound. You too are learning how to move quiet as a wraith. The smell of rubber and oil assaults your nostrils. Classic rock is playing low on the radio. In the far bay, the hood of the Mustang is open, and John is bent over inside, wrenching on something and muttering to himself. There is a partially empty bottle of Blanton’s Bourbon on the workbench behind him, and an empty glass.

Unable to stop yourself from committing what perhaps might prove to be suicide, you creep to the other side of the Land Rover, using it as cover as you eavesdrop on this man grumbling to the ghost of his deceased wife.  

“What do you want from me? I loved you. I loved you with every fucking fiber of my being, but you left me. I died with you the day you left me, and she is the only thing that makes me feel alive again. I need her, and she never would have come to me on her own. She never would have stayed. She never would have stayed.”

He says this to himself over and over, and it wrenches your heart, because you know it isn’t true.

You think you manage to creep back out again without him noticing, Led Zeppelin on the radio disguising the sound of the door.

When at last he comes to bed and wraps you in his arms, holding you too hard for comfort, you feign sleep, smelling the bourbon fumes on his breath. You can’t help but tense, wondering if he will forget his promise this deep in his cups.

But he just sighs into your hair, crushing you as he pulls you even closer, and you don’t know why it breaks your heart all over again.

Hey y’all here are some rough sketches of how I loosely imagine John Watson in my a03 fanfic The Plummet (New update out now!). Digital art is not my go to, so I decided to do a more realistic drawing of him, but I hope to post a more stylized version of him in the future. I’ll also be doing some more stylized short little doodles and things of Sherlock x John moments (unrelated to my fanfic) cuz it’s fun.

his blog is one big ADHD mess, he has a new interest every few weeks and his blog changes accordingly, though there are several common ones 

he never seems to lose many followers for it though

his original posts are funny enough that people put up with it

he’s that user that you start following out of genuine interest and then realise that you’ve already rbed a lot of their popular posts and you’re like

oh shit, i know this fool

he has tags dedicated to each of his friends, they’re usually filled with shitposts or one of their Big Interests 

eddie has two tags, one he knows about, one he doesn’t, and gets mad at richie for not telling him who the tag is for 

the one he doesn’t is full of really gay shit

stan (corvid-company)

stan’s blog started out as a big vent but it was starting to get Unhealthy™ so they switched up their content 

stan knows about richie’s secret tag for eddie and constantly gives richie shit for it like they vague posts about it all the time to get under richie’s skin

it’s 70% bird watching stuff, 20% posts for mike, 9% vaguing about richie’s gay shit, 1% abt being nb (because i fucking CAN ok)

they also have a pretty impressive following, some of it is due to being mutuals with richie, but a lot of it is due to the Wholesome Bird Content

its a surprise to them but they get so damn happy when they receive asks and stuff about their favourite bird watching spots or how to distinguish between different subspecies

people love his photography and unfortunately it gets stolen a lot but other aesthetic blogs but he doesn’t mind so much

he also is the only loser other than bev with an actual Impressive theme: it’s sleek and really fits the vibe

though every now and again he’ll rb one of richie or bev’s shitposts just for a little variety

he posts horror stuff (both from other people as well as his own art/writing) and little bit of vent/rant stuff

his rants are about tropes in horror he hates (eg: ableism and other general bigotry)

his vents are usually about grief or trauma, and he keeps them properly tagged and under a cut

his horror stuff too, he makes sure to keep everything tagged properly and has a link to the tag list in his description 

he sometimes makes a Spicy addition to richie’s posts, and people are like ‘wait why does this Super Serious and Talented creator follow that goblin??’ 

he also rbs a lot of ben’s stuff, people think they’re the same person for a hot minute because ben also writes and draws, but their styles and aesthetics are totally different

Ooohhh, is this for an art ask? Hmm, well, if it is then how about Ki (I think you changed the name?) with one of his "dolls"! If it's just for general asks, then how about an update on where you're at on Vole-project. I know you said you were redoing panels. 💖U!

Yes i did rename them To Kaleni because “Ki’s”  full name said out loud sounded to close to another character when said out loud and i didn’t want to confuse anyone about how to say what. Plus there’s another reason for the name change but..spoilers ;)

I actually haven’t settled on there design atm because I’m revamping it so this look MIGHT be temporary.  I’m trying to be more careful with stylizing my characters features and clothing so they don’t all look the same and are more thoughtful in there design, color pallet symbolism, details relevant to the plot and not all ascetically placed, stuff like that. Luckily  since they won’t be coming in for a long while in Vole I got a lot of time to spin on this for one of the more… Detailed backstory characters since I’m trying to write someone both charming and scary as hell this… Needs a lot of thought. 

As for Vole’s update i got 10/58 of the remakes almost done and am almost ready to update so i might on Sunday if my spell check person can check my text for me by then since I’m an awful speller and my art program where i do my text does not have spell check so i often miss stuff. I’m half regretting doing the remake I’ll be honest cause of the time and throwing away 3 years of work almost… But i am liking the flow better and even though its gonna take longer, I’m taking more time with my writing and organizing so it will hopefully be a better in depth story over all. 

(Or be at least a out line for a dating SIM or something but i kinda got a Sprite sketch out line of a story for one of those so it will probably not be one of vole but may or may not be connected in some way. I’m fiddling here and there with ideas for fun when i get art\writers block on vole)

OTPs (actually not in any particular order. and there are many more that won’t fit here)

1. Balthier x Vaan (FFXII) - THE handsomest sexiest OTP ever I mean come on. look at them

2. Tidus x Yuna (FFX) - I just love them ;_; so much ;__; they are so beautiful together and they deserve so much better than they canonically got from the creators it’s just a tragedy and don’t get me started

3. Duo x Wufei (Gundam Wing) - they are Adorable in the anime and all that but I actually ship the fandom version of them much more (aka when they’re in their 20s or above). It makes sense for all my GW ppl out there I’m sure. Also speaking about Gundam I wanted to put Charmuro on this list but I haven’t read anything with them forever and there’s basically no content with them to begin with so they didn’t make the cut I guess aw but I actually do still do Charmuro fanart occasionally and they’ll always be an OTP

4. young Grindelwald x Dumbledore (HP) - I was actually exclusively a HP blog for a long time before I switched to anime and games and that shit and mainly focused on Grindeldore. and let me tell you I am SCARED. about the upcoming Fantastic Beasts movie, I am scared about how they’ll handle Grindeldore, I’m scared to see if they’ll even admit they’re canonically a couple, and I’m scared of how the actors will portray them , as for most Grindeldore shippers Jamie Campbell Bower and Toby Regbo will always be my Grindeldore and they’re the ones I would always base my fanart on so I have very strong feelings about the casting and everything and I’m nervous and excited at the same time to see the movie but mosty nervous ._ . even though I don’t actively ship them nowadays I still count the fic Thirty-five Owls as my favourite fic of all time, it’s that One Fic I can never forget

5. Ignis x Noctis (FFXV) - This is actually sort of half a lie bc I don’t have an OTP from FFXV I just wildly ship AALLL of them with each other in every direction because all of the chocobros are so loveable and so damn Shippable, I started out reading mostly Promptis and Promnis but it escalated pretty quickly and now I just can’t chose anymore, my respect to anyone who can actually choose only one pairing from FFXV and stick with it. I chose Ignoct for this since I’m sure that’s what I’m going to be obsessing over for the next upcoming months and i’m gonna inhale every fic I see with them just like everyone else 

5. Zidane x Blank (FFIX) - Can’t forget the original sky pirate boyfriends! shhhhhh what do u mean there’s already a 5

oh boy. here we go. im so bad at this

1. I’ve been in so many tumblr fandoms over the years and can you believe the first one was actually Sherlock. HAH

2. I learned to draw by copying Nomura’s FFX drawings when I was like 11 or 12, I used to just….look at his character designs and copy them over. and over. and over for a long time , and the funny thing is that I’ve experimented with so many styles for drawing faces over the years, and I’ve tried so hard to do more heavily stylized anime styles, but no matter what I do I always end up with that era of Nomura-style faces somehow. So I guess I’ve brainwashed myself with a certain drawing style at a young age and now I can’t escape it oh well. The thing is that I’m much more of an Amano fan now and I’m beating myself up for not learning to draw by looking at his art instead

3. Whenever I buy a piece of clothing that I like there’s a 95% chance that I’m going to return to that exact same store in a few days and buy the exact same piece of clothing but in a different color, I ALWAYS do that and it annoys the heck out of me but I can’t stop. it’s such a bad habit

4. I listen to pretty much only 80′s pop. those silly 80′s female singers with the hair and the everything. The more stereotypically 80′s the better. That or metal

5. I’m very bad at watching anime. And I also can never stick to any anime fandom because once I watch a show I get tired of it very quickly. Videogames work slightly better to fangirl over because there are always new thing to explore and you don’t really get tired of them in the same way

6. I collect moomin stuff i luv moomin. I’m weak, if it has a picture of moomin on it I will buy it

7. I’m fluent in 3 languages and am learning a fourth, I know that’s not very impressive but I’m running out of facts

8. I don’t like deep-fried food
