A character would go anywhere with the other person, even hell. All that person needs to do is ask. Basically, it gives vibes of two people dancing and staring into each others' eyes as the world burns around them. That's part of the excitement, though.

"Tongues and Teeth" by The Crane Wives

The character is cruel and wicked, but it's all they have. It's all they can offer. If the other person wants to be in a relationship with someone who will hurt them, then okay. They can. The character warns them not to, but they're not going to stop them either. It's not going to end well, but the character let's the other person dictate what their relationship will be. Not once does the character apologize for being the way they are, just warns the other against it.

The yandere x yandere asks you've responded to for Jamil now has my brain juices flowing. Like please let the pair go back to their Disney roots and serenade to each other my theatre loving heart would burst with joy.

Masochism Tango: start off with some unhinged sadomasochism where Jamil and his lover dance while the reader serenades how much they love his more violent tendencies. Ngl sadistic Jamil is my favorite and I have yet to see anyone give him an explicitly masochist s/o.

I Hold You're Hand In Mine: either literally or just a romantic scenario. Literally would be yan!Jamil murdering the reader for rejecting him and then keeping their body parts as a souvenir. The figurative scenario would be Jamil returning the favor for his masochistic s/o by serenading about how he'd love to play with their dismembered corpse.

The same can happen to him (or anyone) with Reader pinning them underneath them, hands bound by something and a weapon dangerously inching closer and closer to their Jugular vein... a drip of blood and it wakes reader up from their trance, now completely aroused and in love again! (yeah and so is the other party too)

This with Jamil (and again, anyone else) as he sings a song about loving every inch of you, kissing your ring finger from your severed forearm. Death would be the best scenario if he doesn't turn you into a human stick...

The Power of Love by Huey Lewis and the News. It’s the song that plays while Wade is searching for his dream man a wolverine

You’re the One that I want - From Grease. The Honda Odyssey song!!! The thing that, combined with the come hither motions, the taunting, the belt grab, and literally ever other part of this scene, makes it clear that there was a little more than fighting going on in that car.

If I Could Turn Back Time by Cher. I know this one is more from the second movie, but the themes of time travelling to undo past mistakes (specifically of cruel worlds like those initially shared between them) really fits their story

The Masochism Tango by Tom Lehrer. My personal alternative soundtrack to the Honda Odyssey scene. They both were enjoying stabbing each other a biiiiit to much for this not to be fair game.

Love Grows (Where My Rosemary Goes) by Edison Lighthouse. I can’t stop imagining this playing over a series of domestic vignettes post-movie where Logan realizes he’s in love. Also, there is hand-holding imagery, you’ll see a lot of that in this list.

Problems by Mother Mother. Particularly the first few verses. The whole finding love in a strange place while locked up in a cage is very them (“Not all of you was asleep,” anyone?) and that first bit about the singer believing that the subject is good enough for heaven but they aren’t? I can see the edits in my mind’s eye. The best part? It works no matter who you imagine as the singer.

Wrecking Ball by Mother Mother. This could be either of them, but I just can’t help by see Logan dealing with his anger and violence and idea that he ruined his worlds and then the two coming together to be fucked up and break shit together.

Curses by The Crane Wives. This is so Worst Wolverine. His world is destroyed and it’s his fault, but then Wade comes along and makes it all easier somehow.

Tongue’s & Teeth by The Crane Wives. Again, so Logan it HURTS. Feeling like a monster that hurts or destroys every good thing and will ruin Wade too, but willing to accept the fact that Wade seems to know this, but doesn’t care.

Predator by The Crane Wives (I really like their music lol). It’s on their latest albums and again. It really embodies the character of Logan to me. Tim’s hard to describe without just showing you guys the lyrics, so honestly go listen to it guys.

Sticks and Stones by The Pierces. This one is hard to describe, so please trust me and listen to it with Poolverine in mind

Iris by The Goo Goo Dolls. Okay, if I had to pick another song for the hand holding to Madonna scene, it’s this one. The vibes are immaculate, the theme talking about not being understood but finding someone who sees you are perfect, but that’s not why it’s here. It’s here because if two lines that are so much like Logan in that moment where he rushes in to save Wade. One: “you’re the closest to heaven that I’ll ever be/And I don’t want to go home right now.” This one is Logan finding something in Wade he’d thought he’d lost and realizing, perhaps even in that moment, that he doesn’t want to go back to a fixed world. Two: the very first line “and I’d give up forever to touch you.” Logan believes that if he goes in that chamber he will die, but he breaks down the door anyway. He’s literally giving up his effectively immortal lifespan (forever) to touch Wade because he’d rather die with him that live in a universe where he doesn’t exist.

Too Sweet by Hozier. This one is so Logan falling in love with Wade post-movie. Logan having another chance at life and Wade trying to pull him out of his most self-destructive habits while Logan can’t think of anything but how Wade is too good, too sweet for him.

This is Love by Air Traffic Controller. I love these boys but they are a liiiiittle toxic. This is that (plus the knife and gun imagery)

The Red Means I Love You by Madds Buckley. Remember that scene where Wade bled into Logan’s mouth and he had that feral ass grin and laughed? Yeah.

I WANNA BE YOUR SLAVE by Måneskin. You say rough sex I say Poolverine.

Big Bang Theory Man by Clare Fader and The Vaudevillians. It’s another toxic romance vibes song. This one has guns lol

Somebody to Love by Queen. I think this really exemplifies their lives before they find each other. They’re both lost, both put down by life and the world. They don’t know it yet, but they’re just looking for somebody to love.

You Give Love a Bad Name by Bon Jovi. A little more toxicity for the boys. Logan singing this about Wade works well. Like with the idea that Logan played his part in Wade’s game and got sent to the void. Plus comparing Wade to a loaded gun? Yes. Just yes

You Make My Dreams (Come True) by Daryl Hall & John Oates. I like to believe that they both made each other’s dreams come true. Wade got to team up with Wolverine and Logan got a second chance.

The Other Side from the Greatest Showman soundtrack. Look I know Hugh is the one singing here, but I can’t help but draw comparisons from this song to Wade dragging Logan away from the bar where he’s content to waste away.

Heaven’s Gate by Amélie Farren. This is so Worst Wolverine pre-movie. He’s lost and helpless and blames himself for ruining his world. Also, the bit about “I was told that I was vital in the plan to save my life” is giving Logan agreeing to help Wade so the TVA can fix his world. And not believing in Wade and always running away before finally deciding to stay and follow? So represented in this song. Also! “‘Cause I didn’t deserve heaven, but I’m standing at its gate”? That is so Logan when he sees the start of his life with Wade stretch out before him.

Creepy Old Guy from the Beetlejuice musical soundtrack. This is one of the silly ones, but I find the idea of Wade singing this about Logan, who remember is over 200, really funny. He’s Logan’s controversially young girlfriend.

November by Sparkbird. It’s a song about travelling grouch parallel universes and the vibes are very Poolverine. Plenty of knife imagery.

Loser, Baby from the Hazbin Hotel soundtrack. Look I know this one is a little off the wall, but c’mon, it’s a song where an animal themed alcoholic and a hyper sexual gun-lover who are heavily implied to have feelings for each other sing about how life sucks and they’re both losers, but at least they have each other. It’s one the nose (I would actually cry if someone did artwork of them dancing in front of that billboard like in the show)

Hii! Apologies for the later reply, I've been taking care of my sick partner but thank you for the recommendations. And I'm nowhere near sick of song suggestions, I love finding new music so thank you for letting me expand.

Stockholm Syndrome had such straight to the point lyrics which most of the time I'm not a fan of in song writing but it very much reminded me of Stalkers Tango by Autoheart or Masochism Tango by Tom Lehrer. Cause right at the beginning it does talk about hostage situation but the lyrics. "How can you take whats been given? There is no one who's been stolen." Very much Para being like "yeah you did take me however, I'm cool with it. I don't wanna leave." (And like a little kick of Guns + Ammunition by July Talk but idk why)

You really said "I'm gonna give this hoe a run for her money" I cannot find any lyrics for A Hex so I had to listen very carefully to it. This song is reminiscent of ABA's trailer to me. "A consuming flame of jealousy" I can very much see it as her inner mantra, wanting to be positive and healthy yet "feelings of inability clash inside of me" aka still having those pesky envious and rageful thoughts. "Violent and hateful, I'm jealous and spiteful. A feign of cruelty runs through my core."

When I read this title, I missed old PATD so fast. However, unlike PATD the title actually correlates to the song. This is Testament in the embodiment of song form in ABA's character arcade. Couples therapy song.

Okay Gomez Addams. If I had a character playlist for him, this would definitely go on it. Which leads me to now realize. Honestly, when/if Para does become human. ABA and him would be a very much toned Morticia and Gomez couple. This is a Para song to me. Because ABA is very much the leader in the relationship (cause he's a key) and the song very much encapsulates the singer as the follower. Doing as his lover wishes, and even the scars or other hearts don't matter. "My heart, my liege, my second birth." Ties into how Para speaks about how before he met ABA he was very blood hungry and manipulate and as we see. He seems very different from that, he changed since being with ABA.

If this was on my playlist. I would definitely put it near the top. Before the couple went through their changes as people and as partners. Because it's very unhealthy. "Make you fight for me and pray I pay the bills. Make you die for me and watch your body spill." In all honesty though, this is absolutely how their partnership started when ABA found Para.

Anon, Saber. You very much have a taste of music that I kinda avoid. Not cause I think its bad or anything, I just don't normally click with it. I kinda call it banjo music, where its whimsical yet serious toned. And it was kinda fun to think of ABA that way.

I hadn't hear this song before, so I looked it up.

I can see it! I'm not personally as into a literal interpretation of the masochism thing since I'm squeamish, but in a figurative sense it's totally possible to interpret this song in either direction. Though I'd probably say it's closer to my idea of how Malleus approaches the relationship.

A lot of fire imagery in the lyrics in general, but this sounds more like my interpretation of Malleus. In the epilogue of Dyed Dark as Night, he says he's never been more attracted to Rollo than when he's eradicated magic and destroyed Briar Valley. Rollo brought immeasurable ruin to his land and his people and he's like, "I'm so hard right now."

I wouldn't say Malleus is masochist exactly, though people are free to interpret him like that. I see it more as an attraction to the confidence, the victory, the power, the evil, that sorta thing.

If we wanna look at it from a Rollo perspective, then... it would be more metaphorical.

Rather than it being literal, Malleus is again something dangerous, something that lures him in, but can do horrible things (Dyed Dark as Night, the false bell tower, etc). Even as he falls for him, he clings to the walls and tries desperately to deny or delay his love for Malleus. And if anyone's heart is burning, it's definitely Rollo's. Malleus' might be aflame with passion, but it's a fae heart and won't fail anytime soon.

The part where i do a bit more talking for one or another reason:

Danse macabre is here because i was describing their dynamic as "some sort of 'danse macabre'" because this tone poem (i looked it up in Wikipedia lmao) was getting recommended to me the whole time and i guess the name of it really got into my head (oooh dance, ooooh of death). The fun part of it, i haven't even listened to it until after 7th session, so i was very pleasantly surprised to hear that it actually fits (here my criteria was "can i daydream about an animatic with this song?" and yes, i could (basically, the pacing and the vibe of the Danse macabre fit the story))

The Front Bottoms - Be Nice To Me & Mumford & Sons - Little Lion Man: so, these two are grouped together. Why? Because when talking about my boys I'm mostly looking at first verses (well basically everything before second verses) of each (as you could see in my little spreadsheet, Be Nice To Me is applied to Mumbo (theres also an animatic (clickable) i found, it basically shows what i mean here) and Little Lion Man is applied to Grian). But hey, what about the second verses? Well, it's just theres another LL duo these two songs fit very well (Ethubs. I'm talking about Ethubs. Be Nice To Me - Bdubs, Little Lion Man - Etho). This makes sense in my head and i needed to explain my vision and it does go deeper than that.

*cracks knuckles* Alright bitches (affectionate) let's fuckin go. To keep things simple I'll try to stick with artists, but I do have a few stand alone songs that I think deserve attention. This is gonna be a long one, so apologies in advance.

The Spy and the Liar/ Cog in the Machine from I Expect You To Die 2 and 3 respectively. The game series itself is highly underrated and I couldn't suggest watching a playthrough more, but these two songs perfectly encompass the vibe of the game. I even included a link to the opening credits for both games because hearing the song is one thing, but seeing it with the video is a goddamn experience. Puddles Pity Party is responsible for the vocals in The Spy and the Liar and Haley Reinhart for Cog in the Machine, and their voices are fucking incredible. I could not possibly do any explanation on how good they are proper justice.

Ronnie James Dio. Probably my favorite voice in metal music. He was the lead vocalist of Black Sabbath for a bit after Ozzy Osbourne left as well as a vocalist in the band Rainbow for a while, and although his performances in both bands are stellar I think he really comes into his own in Dio. Some songs of his I would recommend are Holy Diver (my favorite of his), Caught in the Middle, Rainbow in the Dark, and The Last in Line. I feel like the best way to describe his music is "epic ballad", and that's very much reflected in the music video for Holy Diver.

Motörhead. This band was a prominent influence for Metallica, and at it's head is Lemmy Kilmister, the lead singer and bassist. His gravelly voice is incredibly distinct and is absolutely fantastic, and he was also close friends with Ozzy Osbourne. My favorite song of Motörhead's is by far Hellraiser, but some other highlights of theirs are Ace of Spades, Motörhead , and Heroes (a cover of David Bowie's Heroes which is just as good as the original).

Living Colour. If Motörhead is The Father and Dio is The Son, then Living Colour is the Holy Spirit of metal to me. As I said in a different ask, everybody seems to forget about Living Colour or dismiss them because they tend to lean into the funk metal genre, but I think that’s one of the many things that makes them such a strong metal band. Their lyrics have touched on so many social and racial issues that I’m in no way qualified to talk about, but for a genre that at the time was dominated by white men (with a few important exceptions such as Jimi Hendrix, Lita Ford, Ann and Nancy Wilson, etc) it wasn’t something you heard very often. Their music is phenomenal and definitely deserves more attention. Some songs of theirs that I would recommend are Cult of Personality (my favorite of theirs), Open Letter to a Landlord, Song Without Sin, and Sacred Ground.

Jim Nabors. This man was a huge part of my childhood and was actually born close to where I lived most of my life. As a queer Southerner himself, he means a lot to me personally. He is well known for his role as Gomer Pyle on The Andy Griffith Show and Gomer Pyle USMC, as well as for his incredible baritone singing voice. And holy fuck that singing voice. My two favorite songs sung by him are The Impossible Dream and Blowin' in the Wind, the latter unfortunately only on the show Goner Pyle USMC. I actually own one of his records from the 60s and it's one of my most prized possessions.

Tom Lehrer. Lehrer is one of the greatest satirical songwriters ever. This man walked so Weird Al could run, and he was actually a math teacher at MIT and Harvard of all fuckin things. It's hard to just choose two or three songs of his to recommend, but some of my favorites are We Will All Go Together When We Go, So Long Mom (A Song For WWIII), The Vatican Rag, and Wernher von Braun. Two of his most popular songs however are The Masochism Tango and The Elements. I also own one of his records from the 60s, and it's another prized possession of mine.

The Aquabats!. Probably my favorite ska punk band ever. They've got everything: funky outfits, a tv show, Jimmy the Robot. I used to watch the show when I was younger, and I've been a fan of theirs ever since. Their music is just plain fun, and let's be honest "I ride an otter like a motorcycle" is probably one of the greatest lyrics ever known to mankind. Some of my favorite songs of their are Super Rad! (my beloved), The Shark Fighter!, Cat with 2 Heads!, and Fashion Zombies!. I'm also just now realizing how many of their songs have an exclamation point in them

Now I was originally going to add some country and bluegrass artists to this list, but I think I'm going to make that into a separate post because I can't talk about bluegrass without talking about my personal journey with both the genre and my Southern culture. Again, my apologies for the long post, but I had fun with it and hopefully maybe gave some interest to some underrated songs and artists.
