Magic Laboratory Rework

⚙️ The Magic Laboratory is going to be sent through an intense simplification process where the Magic Formulas will be simplified to a few unified ingredients to streamline the crafting process with the help of magic and magichanical research! This research also enables new formulas like Special Gacha Keys!

Formulas will be converted to Blueprints and a combination of Sugar Crystals

Diamond-grade Hammers, Ink and Pouches will be converted into 10 Blueprints (S) for their associated items

Miscellaneous ingredients used in formula-making will be converted into Magic Powder or other ingredients:

Light of Life - 300 each

Golden Ingredients (Hammer, Piece of Paper, Ink, Mysterious Pouch), Shiny Sugar Crystals, Pale Cube, Blue Bottles, Millennial Tree Fruit/Tears, Dark Crimson Sugar Crystals - 100 each

Silver Ingredients (same kinds as Gold), Treasure Stamp, Breakout/Rescue Certificate, Blessing Powder, Cracked Treasure Stone - 30 each

Bronze Ingredients (same as Gold and Silver), Broken Key Fragment, Strawberry Syrup Droplet - 10 each

Regular Sugar Crystals -> Bronze Sugar Crystals (A), exchanged at a 1:1 ratio

Solid Sugar Crystals -> Gold Sugar Crystals (A), exchanged at a 1:1 ratio

2 A-Grade Legendary Ingredients (Lifeless Little Star, Full Moon Pearl, Pale Leaf, Crystallized Essence of Night, Stopped Clock) will be exchanged for 1 S-Grade Ingredient that it converts into (Little Star, Shimmering Moonlit Coral, Windgrass, Everburning Dark Crystal, Time Cog)

If the number of A-grade Legendary ingredients is odd, the number of S-grade ingredients received is rounded up (5 Full Moon Pearls -> 3 Shimmering Moonlit Coral instead of 2.5, essentially treats this conversion as if there were 6 Full Moon Pearls instead of 5)

Color-specific Sugar Crystals are streamlined into four tiers of Sugar Crystals (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Diamond). Upgrading Magic Candies may use different grades depending on level. Legendary Magic Candies will only require the S-grade ingredient and Sugar Crystals. All Cookie-specific Candy Ingredient (B and S) requirements for upgrading their Magic Candy remain the same at each level

The Magic Powder that will be converted from unused ingredients will be sent to your mailbox. After this update, all ingredients cannot be purchased with Crystals.

Favorite gifts can and most likely WILL change or get phased out depending on the Cookies’ interests. We don’t know how they will approach this.

I had a dream where the Nicktoons Unite gang (along with other properties) were watching Poof when the Anti Fairies and Pixies captured them and it was up to the supporting cast to rescue them.

Escape is impossible. You know that by now. But you still struggle, your resistance pitiful against the straps holding you down. The leather cuts into your skin, tight across your wrists and ankles, restricting your bare torso. But whumper ignores you, their black-clad figure lingering at the edge of your vision.

Something cold and metal touches your sternum. Your breath catches, and you crane your neck up and forward.

An array of instruments hovers just above your body, suspended in the air as if by magic.

“Beautiful, isn’t it?” whumper asks, voice slightly muffled behind their black beaked mask. One gloved hand is outstretched toward you, curling slowly, fingers tapping empty space. “Such power. And without ever having to dirty my hands or expose myself to my subjects.” Whumper leans back a little and flicks one finger downward. Pain flares at the base of your throat. You choke back a scream.

“The first incision,” whumper announces. Their mask cocks slightly to one side. “Impeccable.”

Another tap of a finger. Another sharp pain that lances across your chest. Your barely-contained scream escapes in a small whimper.

“So much power,” whumper murmurs. “This way, there’s no limit to what I can do.”

🕯 You see the Ring of Eternal Flame? Missions at a personal level AND a guild level are available to obtain the Treasure and make it shiny! The guild missions mostly act on standard guild stuff, so you’ll see your progress if you do the regular things that make you seem active in the guild.

The mastery missions, however, require you to complete missions WITH the Ring to get your rewards, including a Special 10+1 Treasure Invocation.

⚙️ This month only, if you craft a Diamond Sugar Crystal, you’ll get another one for FREE! There’s just one thing: you’ll only get your freebie from your first 3 Diamond Sugar Crystals crafted. After that, it’s all down to you to get them elsewhere or to craft them yourself. The recipe is simple and only requires 10 Gold Sugar Crystals and 45,000 Coins to craft, but the equipment requires a whole week to cool off due to intense pressure required to craft such a crystal.

In the meantime, try crafting a few other things and get some gacha keys and a Diamond Sugar Crystal in return. These formulas are gonna be the new norm, so you better get used to it.

Speaking of gacha, for the 3rd and 6th Special pulls of a specific gacha you attempt, you’ll get one more of that Special gacha key for free! Costumes not included.

🌰 Raid Quests will help you get accustomed to the concept of Raid Run and provides a backdrop to the events regarding the pursuit of Poison Mushroom Cookie being kidnapped. They’ll last for the remainder of this season and the next one, giving you until roughly a few days before New Years to complete them all. 48 days seems like a long way off…

🕯 Unfortunately, the idea of a Treasure Trial didn’t bode well with everybody and will be sunsetted with this one last event. Keep playing and you’ll get some parting gifts before they shut it down.

Raid Run Schedule & News - Mantis Season 1: 11/10 - 11/28

🔮 Due to collateral damage caused by a dubious cake baked by Birthday Cake Cookie and Pomegranate Cookie, they have found themselves in another situation and will not be able to report to Raid Runs for the rest of this season while they find their way back. Their skill levels will be reset and their skills reworked for next season. A compensation gift awaits in your inbox for that plus a leaderboard reset.

For next season, revivals will be limited to three per raid. For now, the price of the 4th revive has been set to 999,999,999 Crystals; an impossible goal to reach for everyone involved, even the biggest of whales.

🌰 The Flowers of Spring map in the Champions League has been rotated out for Strange Winded Grove. Doctor Wasabi Cookie has disabled her Combi Generator for a few days to get some information on the new map to provide the best results tailored to each individual player based on their levels. The Random Breakout Challenge has also rotated back to the City of the Millennial Tree.

Millennial Tree Cookie was also buffed! Here’s what the numbers look like at max level for his base ability:

⏳ Longer Cooldown: 31.5 Seconds

🧲 Increased radius of Magnetic Aura

🔥 Can now use Giant and Blast during ability instead of being bypassed until it ends

A wizard's laboratory with a view. Looks like the local dragon is bothering the fleet again. (Thierry Ségur, Casus Belli 31, February 1986)

An interesting feature of some Casus Belli covers is the art behind the art. The central scene is bordered by a different space or a completely unrelated image. In this example the main painting appears to be surrounded by the artist's studio, with drafting tools on a slanted desk and other art pinned to the wall. One of the wizard's imps has escaped the frame of her scene to fetch a Coca Cola bottle in the lower left.

Didier Guiserix's electrifying scene on issue 31 covers up a picture of a cat in the background. For issue 32 the elf sits in front of a medieval fantasy scene to which she belongs, but she seems to be perched on a rusty steel drum related to the near-future sci-fi scene in the border.
