update on what's happening in Iran:
Based on the news you have heard that they 'abolished' the mortality police.
but today when I woke up and checked the new, 2 of the famous actresses who took their hijab off yesterday, Elnaz Shakerdoost and Shaghaiegh Dehghan have been summoned by the police.
an amusement park was closed permanently (for now) cause one of the female workers wasn't wearing hijab.
they are lying. they just abolished the mortality police to calm the protests, they don't care about women now as they didn't care all these damn 43 years.
DON'T STOP TALKING ABOUT IRAN. OUR ONLY PROBLEM IS NOT THE FORCED HIJAB; THE ISLAMIC REPUBLIC NEEDS TO GO.

I'm sitting at my desk, looking at my male colleagues. None of them understands what im going through right now.
I feel less human than them. Because the islamic regime treats me like an animal, like an object. I have to fear for my very life bc im a woman. My male colleagues don't have the same fear.
My heart is about to burst.
Almost a year ago, a 22-year-old girl called mahsa jina amini was killed by the morality police bc they didn't like she was showing her hair and the whole country erupted in protests. We thought we were going to overthrow the regime this time.
We were wrong.
The revolution didn't happen. We lost so many people. Thousands of people are in prison. And now the morality police is back on the streets. Kidnapping women who refuse to wear hijab and shoving them into the very same vans that killed Mahsa. It's like we're back where we started. But with so much loss and trauma.
I want to scream. But i feel I've been shoved into a bubble where every sound has been muted. I try to distract myself but the pain is relentless. I don't know how much of this pain and humiliation i can take.
And the world moves on. we are stuck here.

today is the 1 year anniversary of the death of Mahsa Amini at the hands of Iran’s Morality Police. it sparked massive protests by Iranian citizens, largely women, seeking rights, justice, and freedom.
the movement is not over. progress is being made, but it has been brutal. many have been jailed, tortured, assaulted, and killed. please continue supporting Iranian citizens and uplifting their message.

"Armita Gravand, 16, is in a coma at hospital after being beaten in Tehran's metro/subway over not wearing the sexist regime's brutally imposed hijab, reportedly by the regime's agents.
Special Forces of the Iran-regime's repression are stationed outside the hospital, undoubtedly out of fear of righteous rage from the people for a plausible repeat of the murder of Jîna/Mahsa Amini."

hello! the post about iran abolishing the morality police is actually misinformation <3 sure bc of the unrest we haven't seen much of the morality police in the streets but its bc there are replaced with police forces who will shoot and beat u down. many women are still being convicted for not wearing hijab and they are going to execute most of the protesters they have prisoned (not to mention that there are horrifying reports of the amount of sexual assault women are experiencing in the prison.) so yeah, that's just misinformation spread to calm the masses/ convince the westerners that things are starting to get better!
You know, I had a feeling it would be something like that. It seemed... I don't know, I don't want to undermine the incredible work being done by protestors, but it seemed too easy. Too fast a cave. Makes a lot more sense that it's not true, and is just a quick Western propaganda campaign.
Thank you, I'll go and edit the other reblog

He is about to be executed for supporting women’s rights in Iran. So far, the Iranian Regime HAS suspended executions for people who have received enough attention internationally. Please sign this petition , it DOES make a difference. The more we share about Iran, the more we have a chance of saving someone’s life.

hey. how's things in iran?
hi friend thanks for asking I appreciate your worry and care.
unfortunately but not surprisingly enough, things have gotten worse.
yes, the mortality police is gone but the governors keep on coming up with new ways to harass women and girls who won't stand their oppression and don't want to wear hijab.
they keep up dropping cases against female actresses who don't wear hijab, they harass student in universities, telling radical religious people to tell people to "abide the law".
Khamenei who's the 'leader' of the Islamic Republic said avoiding hijab is both religiously haram and 'political' haram. wtf is he even saying anymore? idk either but his minions aka Basijis keep on listening to him and THEY are the ones who harass women on streets, universities and etc.
poverty is getting worse as well. inflation is sky high some people can't even eat 3 meals a day and settle for one meal a day, IF they can afford the food which in some families, the can't.
yet the brave people of my country will still fight against those shitty waste of space government. speaking up against them in social media or in real life might cost them their lives even if they live outside of the country but we're fed up. we keep on disobeying your stupid rules, you keep on locking up every place women appear without hijab, lock up and imprison every person who says YOU'RE IN THE WRONG but until when? we should and we WILL win this fight. we've had enough.

this nightmare won’t ever end.
On sunday, oct 1st, a 16 year old girl named Armita Geravand was using the Tehran subway to go to school with her two other friends when she was attacked by the islamic regime forces for not wearing hijab. There’s a cctv footage showing her friends taking her unconscious body out of the train. She’s hospitalized at a military hospital due to head trauma and is in a coma. It’s said she’s been pushed by the security forces and her head had hit a metal bar. The regime detained a reporter who was going to the hospital to cover the news and it cut off any access to the hospitalized girl. The regime says the girl’s blood pressure dropped and that’s why she lost consciousness. But the said regime also killed nearly 600 people to say it didn’t have anything to do with Mahsa Amini’s murder.

It’s been some two months since the islamic regime stationed ‘Hijab guards’ and police forces at the entrance to some subway stations in Tehran. They’re there everyday. Usually when it’s really crowded they don’t say anything, probably sacred of the crowd’s reactions. But sometimes when there are a few people around, they warn women who are using the subway to wear hijab. And you never know when they’re going to get violent and hurt you.
I just hope Armita makes it. It’s just been 11 days since schools opened. So many girls and boys were supposed to return to school this year but the regime killed them. It keeps killing us and this nightmare will never end.

SO i just had a chat with an iranian girl, she is very nice, polite and very supportive of ukraine! i had an impression she was a little apprehensive to tell she’s from iran, but i explained that we do see the difference between the islamic republic and the ordinary freedom-loving iranians. she said she’s lightly injured and she doesn’t have access to tumblr for god knows how long. i sent her screenshots of some posts here in support of the protests. people just go out there - prepared to die, angry, furious over executions, tortures and rapes. i am in awe with brave iranian women and i told her so! i stand with iran✊🏼
