Formula 1 is heading back to the historic ground of Monza this weekend for the Italian Grand Prix.
As such an iconic site of motorsport racing it is only fitting that Red Bull's Max Verstappen is on the cusp of history.
Following his race win at Zandvoort, the Dutch driver is just one win away from setting a new record for consecutive wins at 10.
With a win he would overtake former Red Bull driver and four-time World Driver Champion Sebastian Vettel.
Meanwhile, Sergio Perez will be hoping to bring an end to Max Verstappen's dominance and prove to Christian Horner he is deserving of a seat next season.
With a win Max Verstappen will hold the record for consecutive race victories
Ahead of the race, Mercedes confirmed both Lewis Hamilton and George Russell will stay with the team for the 2024 season.

Track Guide
Drivers will complete 53 laps of the 5.7km track and its fabled Parabolica the long-right hander at the end of the back straight.
Nicknamed the Temple of Speed, Monza is a famously fast track with cars spending around 80% of a lap at full throttle.
The Park section will test the drivers' technical abiities where a series of big stops into tight chicanes will give the brakes a serious workout.
There are just 11 turns around a lap where quality over quantity has never rung more true.
Monza has featured in every Formula 1 season since 1950 and given it's iconic Parabolica, high speeds and twisting corners it is easy to see why.

For the anon, obviously the mail is a speculative tabloid, this is what they've reported from Wednesday I believe.
Big picture - they have spent from a penny to 5.7m GBP (from what I've worked out from the tweet above)
Bestie, I literally quoted the FIA report and the financial regulations to already tell the anon RBR spent sth around 7.3 mil or under 5% more than the allowed, like am I less trustworthy than a Mail Online article from Wednesday as a source 😭

Lewis Hamilton wants ‘serious’ talks with Mercedes - despite landing a podium finish at the British Grand Prix.
Hamilton, who made a nightmare start and dropped to ninth, benefitted most from the safety car deployed on Lap 31 after an engine fire in the Haas of Kevin Magnussen.
But despite ending up third, Hamilton is adamant there are still a number of things Mercedes must do to get themselves back into race win contention, something he hasn’t managed since Saudi Arabia in 2021.
‘It's definitely been an up-and-down season in the last year and a half,’ he said.
‘We have a lot of work to do. I think I know exactly what we need to do and we have got to have some serious conversations about what we are going to do moving forward.’

He added: ‘The McLaren is proof of the direction they have gone and it's impressive how quick they were in the high speed.
‘We have strengths in our car - long runs particularly are great. As soon as we have the rear end that they have, we will be on our way.’
Hamilton labelled Lando Norris’ McLaren a ‘rocketship’ after failing to get past his rival on the inside of Turn 7 following the restart after the safety car.
There was a confidence in the Mercedes garage after the restart that Norris, put on a set of hard tyres, would struggle against the pace of Hamilton on the softs. What instead played out was a frustrating run to the finish for the Silver Arrows.
It was a strong race for the Silver Arrows, as Hamilton finished third with George Russell fifth
However, Hamilton was left frustrated after failing to get ahead of McLaren's Lando Norris
‘Knowing what it's like to be on the hards in the restart at the end with someone on the softs behind, I knew that it would be difficult,’ Hamilton added, before saying he had no complaints at being beaten by a faster car.
‘They deserve to have the performance they have,’ he said.
‘We've got to do a better job. They've now done a better job than us.
‘What I would say is that this is one of the most exciting times I think we've seen in the sport, where we're finally starting to see the regs pull people closer.’
