Blog Announcement: Where I've Been, Hiatus.

Hello everyone! Whether you remember me or still follow, I'll do an introduction real quick. I go by Nai, and my blog was for Hoshiai No Sora/ Stars Align thoughts and theories. Around the time the show ended, I stopped posting. I made a small hiatus post, but I didn't expect it to extend to this long. Many of my HNS friend blogs ended up leaving their blogs, and I started getting too nervous to look at the Discord server, much less my own blog, where I'd promised a lot of content that I didn't finish. It's a shame what happed to the anime. I wish there was a way for justice. I still want to write all of my ideas that I planned, and I never forgot about them or this blog. I've been dealing with severe mental and physical issues, and I got reclusive because of it. This isn't an announcement that I'm back, but I want you all to know that I want to finish my ideas in the future, and maybe I'll work towards turning this blog into something more helpful for the fandom as well! For now, though, I need to focus on my health. Fandom stuff tends to stress me out, and while I know that sounds odd or silly, I want to give you all a better version of me within my writing than what I can produce now. Hey! How have you been Raf? I am really bored and have watched every thing involving DnP I could. Could you recommend me something to watch? DnP videos are great but like I said I watched them all already so maybe some animes this time?

Hello anon!! I have been kinda sick lately and I did just finish a really important public exam so right now, I have been mostly resting. Mostly because every once in a while I grow fucking INSANE with the urge to do something or at the very least watch something. I have been coming to Tumblr to check up all the people I live so much though.

As for what to watch uhhhhhhhh......... Im kinda weirdly passionate about these things because I want to always give out my fully voiced opinion about something before I can commit for another person watching something because of me yk. But here we go anyway,,,

Hoshiai no sora is definitely a must for now. It's a sport anime with a soft tennis club. If you think you haven't seen good LGBT rep in anime, that's because you haven't watched episode 2 of Hoshiai no sora. This anime also deals with themes of broken families and a...lot...of shitty parent-child relationships....a LOT. But that's fucking amazing because this anime makes everything feel so much more real and there's just no "downplaying" something that you usually don't get to see in animes. My synopsis does NOT do this anime justice. Please do yourself a favor and watch this anime!! If you wanna know more about this anime, I might actually suggest taking a scroll through @makimakikun's blog after watching the episodes! Its a delight!

Now comes the question that this anime is still on going so you will have to wait to get new episodes but they come out every.... Thursday I think. Thursday or Wednesday not 100% sure I remember which. Ao if you wanna watch something complete, here's a list.

I don’t think we talk enough about situations like this one. 

This is an incredibly hard place to be in, and I know how it feels. 

Maki and his father’s dynamic is different than Tsubasa’s. Despite how awful his father is, Tsubasa craves his father’s love. His father’s approval. He wants his father to understand him, and that’s one of the many reasons why people like Tsubasa who are abused stay silent.  An abusive parent isn’t just something you can cast away, especially if you’re attached to them in any way. Coming out can change your entire life. You could be torn from the rest of your family, your abuser could be taken to prison and it could hurt your family (i.e. they’re the main provider and pay the bills), or the authorities won’t believe you, and you end up at odds with your family and getting hurt more by your abuser. All of these can cause huge rifts in your relationships. People blaming you, disbelieving you. People thinking you should’ve just kept quiet. I feel for this doctor, because I wouldn’t want a suffering child lying to my face, and I couldn’t do anything drastic unless they tell me the truth.

I feel like people don’t often talk about how... gentle Maki is.  Unless he’s irritable, in a bad headspace, or not paying attention, Maki always speaks calmly, moves with grace, and touches things gently.  Seeing him interact with other characters is interesting. He doesn’t move fast and most physical interaction he gives is slow, light, and comforting.  I think some fans take his confidence and confrontational nature and just run with it, instead of remembering he’s a calm and compassionate person that doesn’t easily get jealous or mean, and understands that everyone has struggles. He was one of the only people that didn’t react when Arashi made a reference to his riches, and looked remorseful but understanding when anyone else’s problems came to light, such as Itsuki’s, Kanako’s, or Nao’s.
