You duck under the willow, careful not to be spotted. All you need is one last detail to make this work. Phillip looks up quickly, but relaxes upon seeing you, and you let out a small laugh.
“Nervous?” You ask.
He straightens his spine, “Is it that obvious?”
“A bit,” You nod. When he deflates and begins to fiddle with his armor, you wince. You’re definitely not helping his nerves, “She loves you, Phillip. Nothing could make her say no. All you have to do is ask the question and we’ll handle the rest.”
As if on cue, Pinto ducks through the willow branches; your last detail, falling into place; or rather, walking into place. You kneel down into the soft grass as Pinto gazes up and lets out a garbled, fey version of your name.
You’ve come to know every fairy, pixie, and wallerbog by name since coming to the moors. And though you’d never, ever admit it, Pinto has been your favorite so far. The spiky little fairy is loyal and tenacious. If you ever found yourself in a pinch, you trusted Pinto to get you out of it. Now, though, you’re trusting her to get you into one.
“Perfect timing, Pinto. I need your help.”
She tilts her head and poses you a question. You don’t speak the language she does, but you understand the meaning well enough—with what? Pinto asks.
Laying your hand on the soft grass at her feet, she takes the cue, hopping into your palm. The look on her little face is very serious and you smile. Your chest is filled with excitement.
“Alright, here’s the situation…”
Pinto is suitably filled in and plays the role of distraction perfectly. You watch from the crowd of creatures, trying to hide your excitement; Aurora is your dearest friend and confidant, you want nothing but happiness for her.
You see how Phillip brings her joy. The smile on her face and sound of her laughter is enough to banish any sadness from your heart on the worst of days. Aurora has been a loyal, true friend, and you’re honored to orchestrate this proposal for her after all she’s done for you; giving you a home when you arrived in the Moors wounded and alone, giving you a family in herself and the fey folk, and introducing you to Maleficent.
Though as the willow fairies swarm and dance, revealing the overjoyed couple, you worry you’ve somehow betrayed Maleficent by doing this. A pit forms in your stomach as you watch Diaval fly towards the Dark Fey’s nest.
But a pair of arms wrap around you and there’s a laugh in your ear. The worry melts away.
“Thank you, thank you!” Aurora giggles.
“Don’t thank me! Your dashing Prince did all of the hard work.”
Aurora pulls back, holding your hands in her own, “Without you, my Aunties or Pinto would have led me to the wrong tree. You’ve worked hard too.”
“It isn’t hard work when it’s for you.” You say softly, honestly.
Her eyes are glazed with happy tears and she throws her arms around you again. You laugh as you’re spun, the soft grass tickling your ankles, little fairies giggling with the two of you. Life had once been so cruel and now you know only joy. How lucky you feel.
But the pit sits in your stomach again.
Your friend must be having similar thoughts, if the hesitance on her face means anything. She bites her lip uncertainly and plays with your hands still in her own.
She asks quietly, “How do you think my Godmother will react to the news?”
“I think she’ll be… happy that you’re happy… eventually.”
Aurora grumbles and pulls away, pacing back and forth while you watch on. You see Pinto mirror her behavior out of the corner of her eye. It takes all your willpower not to also join in, but you decide to remain strong for all of you.
That strength nearly crumbles when you hear Pinto gasp and the Aunties yell to hold on.
The great force of her wings nearly drives you back, but you remain mostly in place. You stand back by the willow as Aurora and Maleficent talk. Though now and again you can feel eyes on you, boring into your skin, and you shrink bit-by-bit.
You were taken by Maleficent the moment you saw her years ago.
When Aurora and the fey folk dragged you wounded to the former’s throne, you had wondered if the injuries would overcome you. You had mourned the life you didn’t anticipate getting to live. But in what you believed to be your last moments, you were grateful to be surrounded by beauty and kindness.
Then Aurora called out to Maleficent, and she came. Her abnormally bright eyes landed on you and you knew nothing else would compare.
She healed you, slowly and carefully, at Aurora’s request, talking all the while though it was clear she was uncomfortable. The days after she made herself scarce and you felt the loss keenly.
Since that day, there was rarely a time when you strayed too far from the Dark Fey. You had no desire to be anywhere she wasn’t. Her dry wit and humor put you off at first, but the sincere emotion behind them endeared you to her. Maleficent had become your greatest confidant. She’d also stolen your heart, though you’d never dare tell her.
“I suppose you had something to do with this union.” Maleficent says, loudly, and you know she’s talking to you.
You meet her eyes and nod, “And if I did?”
“Then you can find another nest to sleep in.”
“Godmother.” Aurora murmurs.
Maleficent rolls her eyes, glaring at the girl. Aurora only stares back.
“You at least could have warned me.” Maleficent says.
Crossing your arms over your chest, you raise your eyebrow. Had you told her the surprise would have been spoiled and she knows that as well as you. You also worry, secretly, that the to-be groom would’ve disappeared.
“You’d have reacted no better two days ago than now, Maleficent. Your nest would have been in shambles and I’d be warning off concerned fairies instead of celebrating with Aurora.”
Maleficent’s head tilts to the side. Her eyes are more intense, extra focused on you.
“Aurora, will you leave us?”
Shooting you a look of concern, Aurora nods. She wanders completely out of the clearing and you want to yell after her. You do no such thing as Maleficent steps forward and closer to you. She’s notably missing her staff; her steps still uneven from the years she’d adapted to living without wings.
Fierce green magic spreads from her palms where she clenches them at her sides. You ache to take them in your own, to soothe her emotions, but you fear it’s unwanted.
“You didn’t tell me.” Maleficent whispers. She almost sounds betrayed.
“It would have upset you.”
“I’m far more upset now.”
“I want her to be happy, Maleficent,” You say, pleading, “Is that so terrible?”
“She’s happy here. A whole kingdom loves and attends to her everyday. She wants for nothing. Her happiness doesn’t need to come from that boy, not when she has me. Us.” She says fiercely.
The magic in her hands flares. You take her hand this time, feeling the power seep into your skin when you lace your fingers together. Maleficent stares down at your joined hands.
“You’re right. She doesn’t need him to be happy, but if he brings her joy, why should we deny her that? Love isn’t so terrible.”
“Love doesn’t always end… well.”
You see the fear in her face, and can feel the effects of it seep into your skin. You want to do a number of heartless things to the late King Stefan; though not for the first time.
Maleficent means well. Her love for Aurora is what changed her and made her whole again, but it didn’t heal the scars her Father left behind. It isn’t so simple, unfortunately. Your heart aches in your chest to take away her pain and fear. But if you don’t let her feel it and come to terms with it, she’ll never come to terms with Phillip and Aurora’s marriage.
“It doesn’t always end terribly either.” You say. And in a moment of madness, your mouth opens, and you say more, “I mean, it can’t, right? Not when we’re so content.”
Maleficent’s eyes widen and your heart drops. Did you really say that? You could kick yourself for letting your traitorous mouth give you away. But you can’t, not when you’re pinned by a pair of bright eyes, emotions behind them you can’t decipher.
Aurora and Diaval had prodded you to confess for so long and you chose the worst moment to do so. You’re even more embarrassed when you notice Pinto to your left, watching with barely concealed interest, eyes moving back and forth between you and Maleficent.
“What do you mean by that?” Maleficent asks slowly.
Gathering the fractured remains of your courage, you swallow.
“It means that I love you, Maleficent,” You whisper, “I’ve held it in worrying it’d be too much for you… but say you want me, and I’m yours. I think I have been since the night I met you.”
There it is.
The truth, unfiltered, and honest; out in the open with the rest of the swirling feelings. You avoid her eyes and stare intensely at your joined hands. You suppose it’s a good sign that she hasn’t pulled away yet, at least she’s not disgusted.
Silence stretches on and you wonder if she’s plotting your murder. It’d be a good time, with Pinto being the only witness. She might not go through with it immediately though if it’ll sully Aurora’s happiness and you hope you’ll at least get to see the wedding.
You try to distract yourself with the details; will it be here in the Moors or in Ulstead? Will Phillip’s parents approve of the union? Will they approve of Maleficent?
“How can you love me?” Maleficent asks.
Meeting her eyes, you’re surprised by the confusion in them, like she expects you to change your mind.
“How could I not?”
“I’m not good. I’ve taken lives and will likely take more, I’ve done horrible, evil things.”
“I know.”
“You… know.” She says slowly.
Careful not to startle her, you place a hand on her cheek, feeling her cheekbone dig pleasantly into your palm, “I know. It changes nothing.”
Maleficent looks at you like she can’t understand you; like she’s fathoming how you can exist. You vow that she’ll never again have to wonder how someone could love her. The rest of your days, you’ll use every bit of your power to prove her worthy of true, honest love.
It surprises you how quiet the Moors are around you. Not even a breeze is blowing through. You wonder how many fey folk Aurora has watching with her, waiting for something. If you’re being honest, you’re waiting too.
You decide to stop waiting.
Leaning forward slowly enough to give Maleficent an out, you press your lips to the Dark Fey’s. She tastes like the berries growing inside the crystal caves. Her lips are soft and pliant, moving carefully against your own.
Beyond initiating the kiss, you back off, letting Maleficent guide you through the motions. It goes without saying that this is one of the only kisses she’s shared. She’s an excellent kisser despite the lack of experience; though that may just be your delight at not being pushed away or rejected.
When you pull away, you’re still curiously alone. Then you hear a garbled noise that sounds suspiciously like finally! from your feet. Pinto is looking up with delight and you laugh. Maleficent chuckles too.
But when you look up, she’s not looking at Pinto. She only has eyes for you.
You try to hide your blush as fairies flood the clearing, Aurora following behind. Her smile is knowing. Blushing even brighter, you meet Maleficent’s eyes when you hug her daughter, and let yourself sit in the joy.
Aurora found hers happy ending and you did too… if only you knew how things would shift.

Stay with me here. Lady Tremaine has been trying to break her stepdaughter's spirit for years, but never been able to. She lands on 'getting' Cinderella a 'job' in the castle of the Mistress of All Evil, assuming she would finally stop dreaming. She could never have imagined that not only would Maleficent not change Cinderella, but that Cinderella would enchant Maleficent.

Okay so I'm sorry for word vomiting here but I've got this AU that I've been developing in my head for the past few weeks. I call it my Disney Crossover/House of Mouse/When I say everyone loves Yuu, I’m talking about the entire Disney animated multiverse AU.
(I’m going to be referring to Yuu as she/her because of my own pronouns)
Basically, Yuu ends up working at the House of Mouse every night for extra money because Crowley sucks. She travels through a magic mirror in Ramshackle. Everyone there loves her: the (human and animal) adults think of her as their daughter, the animals love her (she’s not a beast tamer for nothing), the kids constantly want to hang out with her and even the villains have a soft spot for her (mainly because she treats them like normal people and not as villains. She’s super kind and sweet to them even when they try to scare her). Somehow, they realise that they don’t really know who she is or how she got there or anything so they ask her about it and she’s like “it’s a long story I don’t want to explain the whole thing.”
So due to either Disney Magic™ or one of Professor Von Drake’s inventions, the entire Disney theatrical animated universe watch everything that’s happened to Yuu so far in Twisted Wonderland. So obviously this would lead to lots of questions and everything but that’s not what I want to talk about. Oh no. What I’m getting to is this:
Ship Wars.
Everyone sees how Yuu has got each and every boy at NRC wrapped around her little finger and she’s literally so dense and oblivious to how positively smitten and whipped they are for her so they play a little matchmaking. Obviously The Great Seven™ would want Yuu to get with their own Twisted versions. It was unprecedented. Normally every villain knows not to get on the bad side of the Mistress of all Evil but the second she’s like “she’s my future granddaughter, my Malleus has been courting him the day they met” WWIII breaks out.
The Heroes™ are at first like “why villains though?” before realising that the boys would rather chop off a limb before they would ever think about letting Yuu get anywhere near harm and they’re like “so for their wedding, I’m thinking…” Because what’s the biggest bragging right than having the beloved Yuu getting with someone that’s based on your story.
Listen, because I have ideas™ of villains trying to get their kid (yes, they see the boys as their kids, sue them) with Yuu and the heroes being like “Are you married? No. Move over.” Simba and Nala helping Leona with ‘Can You Feel the Love Tonight 2.0’ whilst Scar and the hyenas scheme in the shadows (the hyenas love Ruggie by the way. He’s an honorary member of the cackle), Aladdin and Jasmine hardcore shipping Kalim with Yuu (Aladdin to the other princes “they rode on a magic carpet and had an elephant parade. Perfect first date material right there.”) whilst JamilYuu shippers Jafar and Iago seethe, Alice may not know much about relationships but she’s got an imagination, an older sister and sees how invested the White Rabbit, card soldiers and the Queen and King of Hearts are with RiddleYuu so she’s going to help. The Dwarves hate Vil. Snow White loves everyone. She just wants Yuu to be happy. Lovable himbo tries to get Idia and Yuu together but Meg just rolls her eyes and Hades yells at him for ruining his plans. Ariel and Eric see Azul, a mer who’s fallen in love with a human and they’re like “our time has come. Sebastian, get your voice ready.” and Ursula’s like “that might be the one good idea you two have ever had”. Maleficent has been MalleYuu Shipper No1 from the start (a title that Lilia had to give up to her after a one minute stare down). She already has a room prepared for the prefect for when she visits the Valley of Thorns. Aurora, Phillip and the three good fairies think that Malleus is a sweet boy and are rooting for him.
Of course, there will be ship wars.
And don’t get me started on the battles that the villainous henchmen/sidekicks get with each other. If I have motivation, I might write something for this AU but I have a bunch of headcanons and scenarios for it. Also, Yuu is an honorary Disney Princess. She gets to sit with them at their table and has a personal invite to visit their castles whenever she wants so that they can have some girl time together. (Mulan and Merida mainly want to teach her how to use weapons and are 100000% ready to hunt down any of the boys that try to mess with her).
Listen, I love everything about this. House of Mouse was one one my favorite cartoons as a kid so i'm all on board for this. (It is an affront that the series is not on Disney+, but at least its on Youtube.)
Mickey tapping on the glass of the Ramshackle mirror: Hey, hey kid. Wanna work at my club?
All i'm thinking of is the episode where Max has a date with Roxanne and everyone swears not to embarrass him, and then proceeds to embarrass with their well intentioned attempts to make it perfect. Like dedicated Sebastian's Kiss the girl performance and setting up a Lady and Tramp style meal for them. That, but with the NRC boy of the week.
Miss Yuu: I'm going to be bringing my friend Azul this Friday. When he heard about the club he was interested to check it out for ideas for his lounge.
The entire cast of the little mermaid:
Tumblr media
There is not a speck of chill in that establishment. Sebastian's going to perform Kiss the Girl. Ariel and Eric get the bright idea to invite them to sit with them like a double date. Ursula and batting the other villains from interfering with a stick. It's a mess.
Rinse and repeat every other week with a different student.
Imagine Hades trying to teach Idia how to be a quick smooth talker to get Yuu to go out with him and its just failing miserably. Or Yuu just glaring at the Magic Mirror in the lobby.
Or ladies night at the House of Mouse, and all the princesses insist Yuu sit them and enjoy the show, and Minnie assures her she can take a break for a while. Then upon Clarabells suggestion in the episode, they do a bachelor auction, Only the Bachalors are Vil, Malleus, Leona and whoever else they could rope into it. Only all the princesses are bidding on their favorites and then giving the date to Yuu.
And like you said, everyone sort of adopts Yuu in their own way. But Goofy especially is going full dad mode for Yuu. Just comes to her defense at any moment like he does with Max and its very sweet.

What does great 7 Yuu call all of their parents? I remember in one post you said they call Jafar ‘baba’, and I’d imagine calling all of them mom/dad would get confusing.
Okay cracks knuckles
I have a feeling Yuu would say "Moms!!" And "Daaads." When referring to all of them. Or "parents" in passing. What they would call them depends on your Yuu but here's some recommendations
Hades: Lord of Flames, Mr Underworld, Pluto, Cremator, Lord Inferno, Pyre, Bonfire/Campfire, Uncle, Dad, Dad, DAD, Bad Influence #1, Hellkeeper
Maleficent : Mistress Maleficent, Your Evilness, Mally, Mal, Mother, Faeire, Fairy Godmother, Godmother, Queen of Thorns, Evil Influence #1
Ursula: Auntie, Your Witchyness, Queen, Yaas Queen, Cecaeila, Mama, Ursie, The Eelkeeper, Lawyer Mom, Your Hypewoman, Bad Influence #2
Jafar: Baba, Your personal Vizier, Teacher, Your Seriousness, My King/Malik, Habibi, "That Guy In the Turban"- Grim, He who doesn't appreciate Nicknames, Evil Influence #2
Scar: Taka, Father, Kitty Cat, Beast King, My Lord, King Scar, Fluffy, The Hyena Keeper, Bad Influence #3
QoH: Mom, The only semi-normal one, Madame Hearts, Queen Rose, Rosey, Mary, Elizabeth, Queenie, Her Ruleyness, The Fun Mom, The Enabler
Grimhilde: Teacher, (very softly) Momma, Mistress Poison, Your wickedness, Evil Influence #4, She who pampers, Dame of Evil, die Königin, Drama Queen
The list goes on

What do you think would have happened if Stefan and the Queen had invited Maleficent to Aurora's christening?
She probably would still have caused trouble in some way or other. She's the self-proclaimed mistress of all evil, after all. She probably didn't really care that she wasn't invited, but just used it as an excuse to curse the baby. If she had been invited, she probably wouldn't have cursed her to die, but her "gift" would have been terrible in a different way. For example, she might have cast a spell to make Aurora cruel and cold-hearted, or to give her magical powers of her own that could only be used for evil.
The possibilities are fascinating to imagine. But one thing is certain: even if she was invited, I don't think she would have been a friend to Aurora or her parents.

Could I also ask for a yandere maleficent and how she fell in love with them?
An invitation
Yandere Maleficent X Reader
Tumblr media
“A letter has come for you Mistress. I found it tied to the brambles” Diaval holds out an envelope along with the accompanying ribbon. It’s frayed and torn from the brambles but Maleficent guesses it must have been quite expensive at one time.
Maleficent gives no verbal thanks but after all this time Diaval knew not to expect such a thing of her. With a wave of her hand he’s turned back into his raven form and allowed to leave her side, truly that was all the thanks he needed.
“A letter…how strange” Maleficent speaks to no one in particular but still the forest she rules seems to creak and groan in response to its queen. She tears the letter open and sets to reading. Unsure of what to expect she was filled with a strange sense of anxiety.
“A princess has requested my presence for a party.” She can’t help the dry laugh that escapes her. Could you imagine the Mistress of evil in the visiting court of a Princess? Her horn wrapped in some silly thing and her comfortable garb replaced with a corset. Where her wings used to be began to ache at the thought.
Try as she might she can’t quite get the letter out of her head. It wasn’t written from the kingdom or from the royal family, no it was solely from the Princess. Not delivered with fanfare and frill but with haste and possibly even…care. Perhaps Maleficent would have to pay this strange Princess a visit after all.
With only the letter and her staff upon her Maleficent begins a grueling pace towards the close by kingdom. She’s not quite curious enough to go the direct, more populous path but she does come startlingly close. Soon she’s at the palace gates of a small kingdom. She manages to avoid alarming any townsfolk though she is still met by the king at the door who looks just as terrified as his knights.
Maleficent is sickeningly satisfied at this and is even more so when he begins to stutter through his pleading and idle threats.
“P-please. Please just leave the way you came…my kingdom has done nothing against y-you.” Maleficent hands him the letter and begins to grow bored as his face pales and he re reads his daughters unapproved invitation over and over again.
“As you can see I was invited so why don’t you act as a good host and lead me towards this grand procession.” She snatches the letter from him and follows the king to the ball room. Truthfully Maleficent could feel herself growing tired already. A growing anger at every second not spent meeting the odd princess who’d ensnared her.
Only once did the Princess lay eyes on Maleficent did she feel complete. Years of heartbreak had broken her but one glance and Maleficent was young and kind and whole again.
The Princess smiles, completely abandoning her previous company in favor of Maleficent. “You came!” The princess leads the stunned fairy into one of the empty corners and everyone steers clear out of fear and respect. “Everyone talks about you. I worry about you all alone out in the moors…”
Maleficent tries not to become flustered by how close the Princess seems. Like they were old friends and not two opposites. “You worried for me?”
You nod your head and Maleficent feels her affection grow. Finally someone who could see past her pain and fear. Someone who would treats her like a person and not a monster. Even Diaval her pet and most trusted ally seemed afraid of her at times but not you.
Maleficent smiles as the rest of the attendants fall away from the world until it was just the two of you “I’m glad you invited me.” with every piece of her broken, blackened heart she means it. It wasn’t much but it belonged to this strange princess now, to her beasty.

So I have a question that I feel as if you're the only one who'll get it well:
So imagine this, a world with the stories is the same but sometimes after the villains have a final curtain call of their motives, but one thing is drastically different... And that's their recruiters are fully evil. Not only that but are so wicked and far not even their once masters can stop them
Either some were abandoned or betrayed by their villains or others simply didn't get their villains help from the beginning, but the end result is the same, they are cruel and ruthless
My question is, if this case scenario was true, what would you think their villain arcs are like?
First off, I'm sorry that it took so long to answer this ask. Life has been quite hectic for me these past few months, so I took a bit of a break. So, to make up for it, let's have some fun here!
Second, it really depends on what established lore you've set for them. Some people have different interpretations of their characters, but if you're going by my personality pages, I have some ideas:
Apple 🍎
Apple seems like the type to claw his way to power no matter what. If he didn't meet the Evil Queen/Grimhilde, he probably would've served under other corrupt monarchs before somehow manipulating them or the people around them to overthrow that monarch and take his "rightful" place as the new ruler.
Very politically oriented than outright murderous.
Jack Heart ❤️
Jack is kinda hard to imagine being strictly "evil" since he's more of the "fun guy who doesn't care about the consequences" type.
But, if you want to lean into him being more insane, I can totally see him becoming more and more unhinged as time goes on.
He craves chaos. He craves destruction. Similar to Kefka Palazzo from Final Fantasy, but less existential and nihilistic.
I doubt that he'd take out the Queen of Hearts, but for this case, let's say he did: He'd make it a spectacle. To show everyone in Wonderland who the true king is.
No longer does he want to be a pawn at her disposal. He'll have it all, one way or another.
Mr. Dalmatia 🐾
Even if this is the 101 Dalmatians universe, where animals are way smarter than we know, I don't see Dalma becoming a supervillain.
Maybe a gang leader of street dogs or something if he was never adopted by Cruella.
Or, more likely, if he was ever betrayed by Cruella, he would plot his revenge, killing everyone, even Pongo, Perdita, the puppies, and the others by burning Hell Hall to the ground and closing any escape routes, then disappear into the woods. Never to be seen again.
Eight Foot Joe 🐙
MURDER.
He finally snaps from exhaustion and has a full-on Death Note-style murder plot to kill Ursula.
Whether he uses an ancient artifact, potions, or goes along with Ursula's plot, only to steal the trident from her after she accidentally kills Flotsam and Jetson, that betrayal is coming full force.
He becomes the new king of the sea. Finally earning the respect he deserves.
Malfi/Malfie 🪞
Malfi, at least in my headcanons, was an actual bird who was later turned human-ish by Maleficent.
Considering how powerful she is in comparison to everyone on this list, I doubt that Malfi would be brave or powerful enough to take her on in a fight.
Malfi is more of an opportunist. He'd lie and wait for Philip to kill Maleficent. Then, once she's out of the way, he'd kill Philip himself.
Unfortunately, while he was trained by the Mistress of All Evil, he knows Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather would cause problems, so he'd capture them somehow and drain them of their magic, so he could use it to curse the kingdom once again.
Malfi would have everything he's ever wanted: Power, a kingdom, a beautiful bride, and servants and subjects that cater to his every whim.
Pretty Scar (Mzuri) ✨️
I've talked in length about what would happen at the end of The Lion King if PS was there to witness or take part in the killing of Scar, and I honestly don't see her in a leadership position of any kind.
But, if we want to change it up a bit, instead of giving up on Scar after he dies, we find out later that she joined Zira and helped raise Kovu.
Like Zira, she believes Kovu will one day become the great king destined to overthrow Simba and avenge Scar
This Mzuri, despite the fact that Scar betrayed her fellow hyenas, still worships Scar because she's used to the abuse she suffers from her family. She blames Simba for placing Scar in a position where he would have to throw the hyenas under the bus to save his own life.
Ms. Hades 🔥
As I've stated before, I see Ms. Hades as a creation of Hades, so her betraying him is kind of pointless, seeing as he could easily destroy her if he wanted to.
If she was to go all-out villain, though, she'd probably wait to reveal herself as the true villain until Hercules was far enough into the River Styx to die of old age. Then, she'd most likely push Hades down there or use some enchanted item of some kind to bind him, then throw him into the river.
Her motive? She despised working for someone who treated her like an object. She was created for the sole purpose of working beneath him, and she could stand it no longer.
I see her as someone who doesn't focus on the petty things, and that's what makes her so deadly.
She's so calm, collected, and controlled that she doesn't let any weakness of hers slip through the cracks. She looks through every possible option, every little detail. She makes good work of using any opportunities Hades never thought to use.
She is a force of nature; an untamable fire. There is no question that she will take over the living world and Mount Olympus. All hail the queen.
Veil 🔔
If Veil had never met Frollo, I don't see the possibility of her becoming a villain simply because she wouldn't have the resources to raise her status as a "lowly commoner." That, and her personality. She was essentially groomed to become Frollo's loyal follower. That wouldn't have happened otherwise
So, if we work with the opposite of what I wrote as an ending for Veil on her page, similarly to Pretty Scar, Veil would be so brainwashed that she'd still defend Frollo and continue his reign of terror in his absence. Only this time, it's even more dangerous than before.
Lady Hock (Hook) 🪝
Again, I really don't see her as a supervillain personality-wise, and even if Hock was betrayed by Captain Hook, I see her going down a more heroic path than anyone else.
Even if she never met the captain, I don't see her becoming a villain either. She's remarkably chill and goes with the flow in most situations.
The best I can see is that if you altered her personality a tad, she'd allow Captain Hook to kill the Lost Boys and Wendy.
Unless she finally got fed up with Hook's cowardice and decided to get rid of him, then the kids. But again, that's less likely.
Faja 🌹
I'll give Jafar this: He never betrayed Iago. They were practically best buds in the first movie, so I don't doubt that he might be the same with Faja.
However, if all three of them became trapped in the lamp, they'd all drive each other crazy. So much so that later on, once they learn about Iago's escape and betrayal, Faja realizes how power-hungry and abusive he's become. Should this happen, she will help defeat Jafar with Aladdin and the gang once and for all, but she'd immediately turn on them all afterwards.
Or, if we go with the option of her never meeting Jafar, unlike Veil's situation, magic exists in this world, so I can definitely see her taking a similar path as Jafar and learning magic on her own to escape her life as a street rat. Except more erratic and unhinged.

Do you think Crowley has a dominion type of UM?
With the last post of it from @prince-kallisto it really got me thinking about it.
If he is maintaining wonderland, and probably encapsulating it or maintaining the bubble it is in. Then is he capable of sending Yuu back on his own or does he still need those variables (seeing as your theory is that he is the Twst mad hatter, just raven flavored. Mickey the dorm mouse, Silver was the mad hare if I remember correctly)
Then did he just open up a part of wonderland through the mirror and send the black carriage to bring Yuu. Accidentally killed them, and they just reanimated them but without their soul, and that’s why the mirror says that Yuu is empty….
Does that mean Yuu could die if they go back? Because Crowley is keeping them “alive” by their own magic, because he said “Nah, they ain’t dead here” and because magic is shaped by imagination and it’s Crowley twisted wonderland or he is maintaining it….
And when Yuu’s purpose in this play is over they just die or something worse.
Am I just going too much on the edges about this or?
Hello! Sorry for a long reply. Since you seems like having so much questions in one ask, let's break it down:
"Do you think Crowley has dominion type of UM?"
Though that post does mention about Crowley maintaining Twisted Wonderland, I still have a different opinion about it. If it's me (who usually based my analysis on Alice in Wonderland and Through The Looking Glass), that Realm Dominance magic isn't his magic but rather, the real Maleficent's blessing from the real Maleficent herself which her image was reflected in the mirror when the very first time we played the game. So when he said "flower of evil", it's to summon Maleficent herself because she is "Mistress of All Evil". He was simply "borrowing" her magic and used it on Yuu.
But how can he "borrow" it? This is where his real UM comes to play. Since he is a Hatter from Through The Looking Glass, his UM is called "Perspective" which is actually based on Mad Hatter from live action Disney game.
This "Perspective" with mirror as its medium can do two things:
1. Visualize pictures/images into reality (he did it to make the magic coming from Maleficent's reflection in the dark mirror into reality)
2. Wrap Yuu through the Dark Mirror onto the other side of Yuu's world
About the second one, what he warped wasn't Yuu's body but rather, their soul. But how it can be like that and how "exactly" did he do it? This will have something to do with Dormouse (the sleeping mouse) riddle and the rabbit hole riddle from Alice in Wonderland (which I'll going to explain another time)
You can read more explanation about this "perspective" UM here
"Is he capable of sending Yuu back on his own or does he still need help?"
For this it will entirely depend on Yana how she will create the story. But based on my analysis there are 3 possibilities:
1. Crowley would still need the variables, with someone representing as "time" to break the loop (in this case it's Yuu themselves because in Mad Tea Party, Mad Hatter can finally measure mathematicaly when Alice comes using her age which is 7). This is if she follows the Alice in Wonderland one
2. Crowley doesn't need help, but he will not do anything either. Because eventually they will go back to their own world once they defeat Grim. This one is based on Through The Looking Glass where Alice defeated Red Queen to go back to her own world, which later this Red Queen turns out to be her own black cat named Kitty. Personally this second possibility is what I think twst is close to, with Grim has the role of both Red Queen and Red King. Though this does raise another question what is Crowley's intention for doing this (which admittedly I still don't know up to this point)
3. Ace and Deuce will help Yuu to "break that world triggered by Crowley's magic"
This is due to the fact that both Ace and Deuce are trump cards from their respective decks of French deck and German deck which technically can overthrow the structure that maintains wonderland.
"Did Crowley accidentally killed Yuu and reanimated them but without their soul?"
Based on my own analysis, Crowley didn't kill Yuu but more like it's really their time to go and he is more like just doing his task as the personification of time. (this again refers to the Mad Hatter from mythological perspective). The hint is there in his bio about his favorite food, but I will explain that some other time.
The reason why Dark Mirror can't identify Yuu's soul is because it's already their soul that's coming to Twisted Wonderland. Because their real body is in their own world.
So when Yuu's role in Twisted Wonderland is over, they will go back to their own world and wake up from their dream, much like how Alice is going back to her own world in both Alice in Wonderland and Through The Looking Glass.

Wait a minute…. (TWST Chap. 7 theory) +SPOILERS for Maleficent: Mistress of Evil
Tumblr media
I watched Maleficent 2 & (it was so good btw:>>>) it got me thinking like…
If Silver’s the long lost or maybe the only left surviving human from the Kingdom of Heroes(?), what if that kingdom was destroyed because in some ancient fae vs human war- the faes won?!? Especially since Malleus seems way more based on the live action Maleficent-but that could also mean Silver really is a direct descendant of Aurora & Philip since the faes in the movie spared them & all that
Tumblr media
I imagine Lilia might’ve been more like the peace insisting Conall while Sebek’s grandfather was more like Borra, the war inducing faerie
Also, since Lilia is losing his magic, what if Malleus or Lilia himself is able to resurrect.? Like how Maleficent turned into the Dark Phoenix after being stabbed + since the Tomb Bloom flowers are similar looking to the red flowers from the Masquerade event - that also means Rollo has a sub base of Queen Ingrith..! (both even lost their brothers @ young ages & sacrificed others for the “greater good”..!)

Rpg Anon: I've been a bit relatively moody lately and that's why I haven't done the class 77 Personas research lately. I still intend on doing it but still. Regardless, mod, if you have the time, what Personas do you imagine Makoto's class to have?
We already established Sayaka to have Miss Crane/The Crane Wife and Sakura to have Hercules but any thoughts you have of everyone else? Class 78 so far has the themes of their Personas not particularly being gods but more characters of popular stories and folklore.
P.s. if you want to give Kyoko Sherlock Holmes than you're gonna have to justify it cuz that's a bit too easy and direct.
//Hey, so I'm really sorry I got late to this. I'm sorry you've had some rough days and I apologize for not getting to this sooner.
//And then when I tried to do it last night, my internet provider went down right in the middle of it, so that pissed me off as you might imagine.
//It just took me a while to think about it, but I do think I've got some answers. Note that I'm not completely sure about all of them, I decided a lot of these based on the theme of, as you said, popular stories and characters from folklore.
//I'll try my best to explain each one.
Makoto - Antar: Antarah ibn Shaddad al-Absi, also known as Antar, was a pre-Islamic African-Arab knight and poet, famous for both his poetry and his adventurous life. I'm very wishy-washy on this one, but ultimately I focused on the fact that he started out as a slave before he became a knight, channeling his hopes and dreams to reach where he got to.
Sayaka - The Crane Wife: For reasons we have already established. However, I do wish it had a better, or more official name.
Junko - Nyarlathotep: A fictional character created by H. P. Lovecraft. The character is a malign deity in the Cthulhu Mythos, a shared universe. First appearing in Lovecraft's 1920 prose poem "Nyarlathotep", he was later mentioned in other works by Lovecraft and by other writers. He is also the main antagonist of Persona 1 and 2, and was picked for reasons already established.
Hina - Maximus: Maximus Decimus Meridius was the commander of the Armies of the North and the Felix Legions under the Roman Empire. The greatest general of Rome during the 2nd century AD, he served loyally under Emperor Marcus Aurelius during his Twelve Year Campaign against the Germanic tribes at Vindobona in Germania. I picked this one because he's also the main character of the film Gladiator, a film about warrior sports, which fits Hina's sport related talent, her competitive nature, and her determination to see things through to the end. That said, this is by far the one I am the most unsure of, and wouldn't mind a second opinion.
Chihiro - Mulan: A legendary folk heroine from the Northern and Southern dynasties era of Chinese history. According to legend, Mulan took her aged father's place in the conscription for the army by disguising herself as a man. While I do think there could be alternatives, I ultimate focused on the similarity between Mulan and Chihiro's stories, where they disguise themselves as the opposite gender. Mulan does so to protect others while Chihiro did to protect himself, but ultimate came into his own to embrace his identity.
Sakura - Hercules: For reasons established. The strongest man in history serving as the Persona of the strongest woman in the world.
Toko - Maleficent: In PToH Toko obviously has Barrow, but that's more to fit with Komaru and them being a duo. In an alternative world, this Persona is based on a fictional character who appears as the main antagonist in Walt Disney Productions' 16th animated feature film, Sleeping Beauty (1959). She is represented as an evil fairy and the self-proclaimed "Mistress of All Evil" who, after not being invited to a christening, curses the infant Princess Aurora to "prick her finger on the spindle of a spinning wheel and die" before the sun sets on Aurora's sixteenth birthday. However, more recent iterations of her character, such as her 2014 standalone movie puts the character into a much different light, revealing that she was once a kind-hearted fairy, who is deceived by the love of her life, Stefan; Aurora's father, and she places a curse on her in order to exact revenge. This is similar to how Toko spent a lot of her young childhood being kicked down, manipulated, hurt and betrayed by everyone, which led to the birth of her vengeful and psychotic alter ego, Genocide Jack.
Celeste - Jeanne d'Arc: A patron saint of France, honored as a defender of the French nation for her role in the siege of Orléans and her insistence on the coronation of Charles VII of France during the Hundred Years' War. Claiming to be acting under divine guidance, she became a military leader who transcended gender roles and gained recognition as a savior of France. Celeste (at least in the dub) poses as a French girl for the majority of her time in the game, and has a very similar empowaring, intellectual, yet also spiteful nature to Jeanne d'Arc.
Hifumi - Māui: A great culture hero and trickster in Polynesian mythology. Tales of Māui's exploits and adventures are told throughout most of Polynesia; they can be traced back as far west as islands off New Guinea. Some exploits common to most Polynesian traditions are stealing fire for humans from the underworld, fishing up islands with his magical hook, and capturing the Sun to lengthen the days. He's the kind of hero and righteous person Hifumi aspires to be, though the demigod is also a trickster, which can hint to how he can be sinister when he needs to be. Honestly not totally sure about this one either though, I'm just spitting.
Kyoko - Robin Hood: No, I didn't go for Sherlock, as obvious as it is. A famous English outlaw usually associated with the motto "Steal from the rich, give to the poor". According to legend, he was a highly skilled archer and swordsman. Robin Hood is also the initial Persona of Goro Akechi from Persona 5, who is also a detective. Though Robin Hood is a fake Persona used to mask Akechi's true sinister nature, Kyoko has no such sinister nature, and her sense of justice and nature of finding the truth and exposing the corruption, despair and lies, is genuine, and this Persona makes sense. Plus, I kind of really want to see a female version of Persona's Robin Hood, since I love it's design.
Mondo - Leonidas: a king of the Greek city-state of Sparta, and the 17th of the Agiad line, a dynasty which claimed descent from the mythical demigod Heracles. Leonidas entered myth as a hero and the leader of the 300 Spartans. The 300 Spartans and their successes served as my main reason to give this to Mondo, as they're a very similar concept to the Crazy Diamond Biker Gang that he leads.
Taka - Odysseus: In Greek and Roman mythology Odysseus is a legendary Greek king of Ithaca and the hero of Homer's epic poem the Odyssey. He was also the original creator of the infamous Trojan Horse. I picked this because it relates to Taka's desire to be a leader, a public figure, a hero, and someone people can depend on.
Byakuya - Arthur: Legendary British warlord/king said to have united the Britons against the Germanic invaders, with the support of the Knights of Camelot. He is also the protagonist of a folk tale where he pulls a sword from a stone, which decides his fate to be the newest English king. This is primarily why I picked this, as whether it was through fate or effort, Byakuya views himself as a chosen one, and that he earned the right to stand above everybody.
Leon - Siegfried: The legendary dragon-slaying hero in Nibelungenlied from German mythology. Both characters share the trait of being heroic figures who have accomplished greatness, but died as a result of their own misgivings as opposed to in battle or elsewhere better. Honestly, this one is a stretch though, so I wouldn't mind a second opinion.
Mukuro - Yog-Sothoth: A fictional cosmic entity and Outer God created by H. P. Lovecraft. He, like Nyarlathotep, Junko's Persona, is a core part of the Cthulhu Mythos (which Lovecraft would refer to facetiously as "Yog-Sothothery"). Born of the Nameless Mist, he is the progenitor of Cthulhu, Hastur the Unspeakable, and the ancestor of the Voormi. Though not siblings, both Nyarlathotep and Yog-Sothoth are offsprings of Azathoth, creating a familial connection between Junko and Mukuro's Persona's, but still having Junko be the more superior of the two.
Hiro - Twm Siôn Cati: a figure in Welsh folklore, known for being robber and trickster, nicknamed the Welsh Wizard. The character has many tall tales, and the Welsh Wizard title is in reference to both Hiro's scamming money-grubbing nature, his susceptibility to fall for traps and misadventures, and his talent of a fortune teller, which is mystical in it's own way.
//Again, a lot of these need work, I'm really unsure about most of them, but I am equally as proud of some of them.
-Mod

hear me out, hear me out, Descendants but with like Maleficent: Mistress of Evil Maleficent instead, like would you want to see a Mal like that instead of Mal now? I personally think Mal wouldve been more badass like that instead of a dragon but thats just me, just wanted your opinion lol
honestly, with how that series of rewritten disney stories written, would just make me more mad at beast cuz i can easily imagine him sending "the mistress of all evil" away to the isle and Aurora just being "WHAT THE FUCK THATS MY GODMOTHER"
but yeah, i dont think audrey n Mal would be rivals/enemies in this au, since most likely Maleficent would be a much better person and mother to Mal and raise her with immense knowledge of magic and the kindness her beasty had/has, so mal would not be at all like her canon self, she still a bit snarky and sarcastic, but...well shes nice, shes a good kid
of course, no longer having the dragon as their symbol, it would be the dark Phoenix, Mal would have her horns, and cuz i like to see her suffer, smaller than average wings....just to let her keep SOME of her mommy issues(feeling smaller/not as powerful/big as her mother) but they grow to full size magically during cotillion while someone(not uma) attacks it/ben(her beasty)
but yeah, it would def be an interesting turn to Mals characters and how she is with everyone, ive actually read an au like this already i think, if i remember correctly there was a magic closey thing that allowed audrey to travel to and from the isle to see her godmother and sister(mal and maleficent)

".... They're still my favorite."
So! This is the first song I ever put in my Maleficent playlist because it just. Describes how she was seen as an outcast from the moment she was... Well. Given to a human family. But that's lore I haven't gone into yet! If you can imagine a young Maleficent, before the Mistress of Evil, she was a young girl growing up in an outdated world that already knew she was different from the moment she arrived. And her 'parents' were no better. Thanks for the ask!

Poppy gasps, her eyes going wide with wonder and delight as she stares at the doll moving with magic.
"That... That's amazing!!"
She takes her own doll, and she makes the dolls have an adventure of finding a secret garden. The toddler is totally immersed in the game, her imagination in full swing.
Diablo, sitting on a nearby tree branch, has to try now to caw with a chuckle. It's very strange to see the Dark Evil Faerie Maleficent playing dolls with a little girl. Diablo can see a faint soft smile on the corner of maleficents lips... It's both amusing, and heartwarming.
Maleficent was silent as she watched over the child. Although she was enjoying the Poppy's company, she couldn't help but be concerned.
"Young one... don't you think your brother is worried about you? He probably doesn't know where you are, and if he did, he wouldn't apreciate that his little sister is alone with the Mistress of all evil."

Protective
Diaval x Female!Reader
Warning/s: One of the guards being a creep, makes it up for fluff at the end!!

You woke up, rays of sun shining through the window of your room in the castle. After Aurora and Prince Philip were married, you being Aurora’s sister, she wanted you to be with her at all times. Prince Philip was kind enough to let you move in to one of the rooms in the castle.
Your first thought was to go to the balcony, opening up the door to spot a lot of people running through their business on this sunny day. You were thankful enough for the view the balcony gave you, where it out looked the kingdom and it had a very beautiful view when it got dark, something that tends to calm you on sleepless nights.
You closed your eyes shut for a moment, enjoying the peace and the birds that were singing.
Caaw, caaw, caaw
Your brows furrowed, eyes slowly open to spot a rather familiar black raven that now perched upon the railings.
You decided to playfully ignore the Raven for the time being, turning and closing your eyes again and letting the sun hit your face.
Then you felt something nipping on the sleeve of your night gown. Deciding that it was time to greet your friend, you chuckle and looked down at the raven before you.
“Hi there, Diaval, what brings you here?“ You ask, lifting your hand up and petting his head with your finger.
You see his wings shudder after a moment and you continued.
“Is mother around? I’d rather talk to you when you can speak, it’s rather hard to understand you like this.” You laugh.
Truth is, you admired Diaval for quite a while now, both of you grew close when Maleficent first introduced him to you and Aurora. You knew how his shapeshifting works and how he was able to turn into anything that Maleficent wished. You knew originally that he was a raven that was captured, but you were lying if you said you didn’t find his human form alluring.
You were cut off in your daydreaming when your room door opens, revealing Maleficent. You smiled widely, running over to greet her, Diaval following close by.
“Oh, I was wondering where you were.” Maleficent said, and you knew she was referring to Diaval.
“Is he bothering you (Y/N)? You know I could just turn him to a lizard then and there and just send him off flying into the Moors.” Maleficent said to which Diaval whined in an angry way which meant he did not want that.
“Mother, no, don’t worry he’s not causing me trouble.. Though I would appreciate it if you can turn him back to human..” You suggested.
She clicked her tongue and spoke. “I’d turn him back once you’re dressed and downstairs, your sister is looking for you.” Turning on her heel, she walks out of the door, motioning for Diaval to come with her.
Pink rose to your cheeks as you nodded, Diaval turning his head to you.
“Don’t worry, I won’t be long.” You reassured and he reluctantly followed Maleficent.
After bathing and dressing properly, you headed down to meet the others.
“(Y/N), about time you woke up!” Aurora, your sister piped up at you.
“Oh shush Aurora!” You laughed.
You sat with them at the dining hall, though your eyes were searching for black ones. Although Aurora seemed to have taken notice of your attraction towards Diaval that she leaned towards you.
“He’s there, look!” She whispered with a giggle as your eyes snapped in the direction she discreetly pointed at.
And there Diaval was, walking towards the dining hall, skin smooth and white as snow, slicked back hair, the noticeable marks on both sides of his temples, his clothes that lightly exposed his chest, markings that threatened to peek out of his shirt accompanied by his black coat.
You felt that you were taking your sweet long time staring at him as your sister had to pinch your hand to bring you back.
“Oh- uh.. I’m sorry, what was that?” You asked shaking your head to get yourself out of the trance.
On the corner of your eye you saw your sister tried to hide her laugh by covering her mouth with the towel.
“You appear to be distracted lately (Y/N) dear, is everything alright?” Maleficent questioned. You quickly shook your head and decided to make up something.
“No mother, I just woke up funny is all.” You lied and hoped she would take it.
She stared at you for a while before nodding. “Alright.”
You definitely missed how Diaval’s eyes looked at you whilst you were busy coming up with a lie.
After everyone ate and done their duties, it was almost noon and you decided to get some fresh air and strolled through the gardens.
The flowers were exquisite, everywhere you laid your eyes on was a feast of colours. You felt proud that some of the flowers that bloomed were your own since you took most of your time tending to the gardens, seeing them bloom made your heart overwhelmingly happy.
But as you walked, you couldn’t help but feel a pair of eyes staring at you, but you shake your head, it was probably just you.
Simply put, you lost track of time and before you know it, it was already sundown. You ought that going back to the castle was a great idea but that idea was taken from your head when a guard stepped up in front of you.
“Oh.. I was just on my way back.. excuse me please.” You excused politely, trying to move out of the guards’ way but he didn’t budge.
A lump in your throat started to form, you still tried to slip through his side but he suddenly gripped your hand, tugging you towards him.
“Let me go,” You spat at the guard “I’m sparing your life, unless you want to be met with the terrible consequences of your actions.”
“Oh? Might as well make this worthwhile.” He said, yanking you close. Before he spoke again, a voice spoke behind him.
“I wouldn’t do that if I were you.”
The guard turned and you had a good look at the owner of the voice. It was Diaval. You thanked the gods for his arrival.
The guard seemed to tense up, but he kept his hand on your wrist firm that it was starting to hurt.
“Or what?”
“Or I could turn into a creature you deeply fear and rip you limb from limb.. slowly..” Diaval said with venom underlying his tone as he inched closer.
The man seemed to come to his senses as he finally let go and stumbled upon his feet to escape.
You stood there frozen and Diaval was quickly on your side, inspecting your hand and your face.
“Did he do anything to you, (Y/N)?” He asked. Diaval was clearly fuming with anger at the man yet he managed to soften his tone when he asked you.
You nodded, holding onto his arm.
“I’ll walk you through your room now, alright?” He asks, searching your eyes for any disagreement, but there was none.
After making it inside your room, you changed into your sleepwear while Diaval waited outside. Once you gave him a signal to come in, you were sat on your bed.
“That bastard’s gonna pay.” You heard Diaval mumble under his breath.
You motioned for him to come over and sit beside you.
“I swear (Y/N), if he decides to lay a finger on you again-“ You cut him off by pressing your lips to his cheek.
“Thank you for saving me back there.”
You didn’t miss how his skin turned lightly red at your action but you continued.
“Although I feel this isn’t an appropriate time to say this but I no longer care.” With a deep breath, you looked at him straight in the eyes and spoke.
“I have been inlove with you for the longest time now, Diaval. I’m surely you’ve taken note someway somehow but here is me saying nothing but the truth. I take it upon me to understand if you don’t happen to feel the same way.”
His eyes widened at your confession as the room stayed silent, all that can be heard was the whispering of the cool night wind, and the occasional birds flying outside.
You fear that you ruined your bond with him as you decided to speak up when he didn’t.
When you opened your mouth, he finally spoke.
“(Y/N), I’ve also laid my eyes on you from the first time we ever met, when we grew close, my attraction only grew into love. It makes me so happy to learn that you feel the same.” He breathed out.
It felt like all your hopes was built back up, you didn’t destroy what you had with him. And most importantly, he loves you back.
You were quick to smile and cup his face, turning him to face you.
You saw how his eyes crinkled when he mirrored your smile and it only made your heart jump.
“I love you, (Y/N).”
“I love you too, Diaval.”
This was one of the happiest nights of your life, you both knew you had to tell Aurora and Maleficent sooner or later but that’s a story for another time.

Nightlight (Borra x Male!Reader)
Tumblr media
It was well into the starry night when you shifted positions on the bed, sleeping soundly. The softness of the mattress that cushioned your body, accompanied by the light cooling breeze drifting in from the partially opened window also aided in your slumber. Despite the blissful comfort in your current setting, you found yourself waking with each passing second from the continuous soft groans and grunts coming from the Fae laying beside you.
Borra’s brows furrowed in fear, the usual panic setting in like clockwork as he continuously tossed and turned. His lips were slightly parted, whispered mutters leaving him with the accompanied strained noises that followed afterward. It had become a recurrent thing, to the point where you knew exactly what played out in his mind despite his words being incomprehensible. He was having another nightmare.
They began after Borra helped win the war against Ulstead on behalf of the Dark Faes, with the result being the fall of Queen Ingrith. She was responsible for the annihilation of most of Borra’s kind. His family. The memories of all those killed by the Royal Forces replayed in his mind every night like a broken record, and the feeling of helplessness plagued him to no end.
It seemed like there was no way for him to escape it, no matter how hard he tried halting it for good. You, or course, sought to help Borra in any way you could, but all attempts grew futile over time from the severity and recurrence of his seemingly everlasting nightmares. You had resorted to waking the Dark Fae, and praying that the dreams that subsequently followed were only that.
Borra continued to thrash and squirm, his words growing louder as the beads of sweat trickled down his temples. You rubbed your eyes, sitting upright and facing the distressed Fae. You then reached a hand out, lacing your fingers with Borra’s and giving his hand a gentle squeeze in a dire attempt to snap him out of his current state.
The contact prompted Borra to instantly spring upright, a hoarse cry leaving him he whipped around in alarm. His eyes widened, immediately scanning the room and searching for an escape as he was afraid his dream had shifred into another brutal reality. Upon recognizing he wasn’t facing any danger, Borra shakily wiped the sweat off his creased forehead with the back of his hand. He turned to you, letting out a labored sigh and tightly shutting his eyes as he swallowed thickly.
You swiftly released your hand from Borra’s firm grip, standing. The dim lighting provided by the moon shining in from the window subtly illuminated your path to the bathroom, and you began to search for a soft cloth inside the regal space. After finding and dampening it with cool water, you quietly returned to the grand bedroom to tend to Borra properly.
Borra trembled, the shock still running through his body as he covered his face with his hands in frustration. He felt the bed dip in front of him from your weight, having sat across the Fae before carefully prying his hands off his chiseled face. You tilted Borra’s his chin up, murmuring soft encouragements and reassurances as you gently dabbed the cloth over his forehead and the areas you noticed glistened with sweat. Borra closed his eyes, cooling down from the gesture and melted against your featherlike touch.
Borra swallowed, the guilt quickly creeping in as he stared down at his lap and his eyes began to brim with unshed tears. A deep frown was etched deeply into his sculpted features, and you knew what he was feeling. It was rather unusual for Borra to present himself so vulnerably to anyone, let alone a human. Regardless, you were relieved he trusted you enough to outwardly show how he truly felt on the inside, seeing as he was typically the type to keep sensitive emotions bottled in unless it was anger. You set the cloth down, placing a delicate hand on Borra’s cheek upon taking in his sunken attitude and tenderly wiped his tears away with the pads of your thumbs.
“It’s not your fault, Borra. None of this is.” you murmured with a light shake of your head. Borra licked his lips, humming lowly. “I just- I wish I had done more..” he trailed off, voice hushed and broken. You cupped Borra’s face, having him meet your gaze as you looked him over. “You did more than enough. You fought for them. You didn’t sit around doing nothing while waiting for things to pass.” Borra rolled his lips into his mouth. “Not all of them made it. There’s nothing that can be changed about that, but think about all the people you saved. Generations worth of Faes are still here because of you. You have no idea how proud I am of you, Borra.” you declared with a soft smile on your features.
Borra stared at you in silence, lips parted as a plethora of emotions coursed through him in waves. He remained still, so still that you furrowed your brows at Borra upon his concerning lack of movement. You slowly brought a hand up, waving it lightly across his face aiming to elicit any kind of reaction from the Dark Fae. You were to call to him, but before you could get a word out, he crashed his lips against yours in a passionate yet tender kiss. You blinked, quickly melting against him and eagerly kissing him back as you wrapped your arms around his neck.
You pulled back after a few seconds, foreheads pressed together and lightly panting against each other’s parted lips. “I love you. I love you, Y/n.” Borra called out, voice soft but you noted the confidence he spoke with while addressing you. You giggled, pecking Borra’s nose. “I love you, too.” you cooed. “C’mon.” You shifted, laying against the pillows on the bed as you brought Borra against you. Borra rested his head on your chest as you wrapped your arms around him, slowly easing up. The sudden change in roles was taking him a little to process seeing as he usually held you in his arms while you cuddled, but he wasn’t complaining.
Your warmth you provided brought Borra a certain comfort he couldn’t obtain anywhere or with anyone else. He wouldn’t change it for anything in the world, and considered himself lucky to have someone he could call home. The new feeling of your fingers running through his hair relaxed him further, and it didn’t take long for his eyes to close on their own accord. The sound of your voice humming a soft tune was what really got him to a complete state of slumber, and for the first time in months, Borra actually dreamt.
As you hummed to Borra and continued to run your fingers through his thick locks, you felt the inmense sensation complete peace, over the moon that you’d brought the same to your lover in your warm embrace.
