thank you so much for asking!!! i talked a bit about them here but i’m always so happy to talk more about them… i’ve missed themmm

for me, the fundamental thing about them is that they would defend each other with their dying breaths but they also can’t fucking stand each other - in this way, their relationship is kinda more sibling-like than anything else (but, notably, both of their actual sibling relationships are a bit more complicated than that). like if they’re left alone in the same room for too long, there’ll be nothing left of the extravagant, antique furnishings by the time they leave. but also like if one of them gets hit by a curse in a battle, there’ll be nothing left of the person who cast it by the time the other is done.

it’s very unspoken (and when it is spoken, it’s yelled, bc god forbid either of them ever communicate like normal people) but it’s mostly about duty. bc they’re married. they’re husband and wife and that means something. i think it was an arranged marriage and they don’t love each other at all, never have and never will and they both know that, but there’s still this sense of them being bound together. like i’ve said before, both of them are very devotional, like rodo is fastidious about his duty as lord, that’s his entire life, and bella is fervent in her loyalty, primarily to her family (& later voldemort) but rodo would receive a degree of this as well.

i also think at their cores they’re made up of a lot of the same stuff (altho, i’ve said it before and i’ve said it again, the blacks to me are just More than the lestranges (& most other pureblood fams) are, they’re an Extreme) and bella expresses this more outwardly while rodo keeps all his passion and anger and wildness simmering under a much more upright, refined exterior (which does erode as he gets more sucked into the DEs, and esp after his time in azkaban)

later on in their relationship i think the main thing that binds them together is voldemort. like neither of them can be members of Society anymore - after the azkaban escape, they’re wanted criminals, they can’t be the lord and lady lestrange as well as that. i think a lot of this begins before the first azkaban trip too, like they’re some of if not The most zealous DEs at the end of the first war. please see: torture of the longbottoms bc they need to get info on the whereabouts of their master. i think this is where they give up on the idea of their social standing (which was so important to them before, mainly to rodo w the duty thing but also to bella bc of the level of pride that comes w being a black).

this is a central thing that i think is so interesting about the death eaters and the way tom operates. he cultivates a dependency on him so that when he’s gone, people like bella and rodo just can’t really function. they have to find him and when they can’t, they scream their loyalty to him all the way to azkaban. they can’t just go on living a normal life like lucius for example (and i think this is part of why the malfoys fall out of tom’s favour so drastically in the second war. bc he knows that lucius can live without him, can denounce him and pretend it was the imperius and basically just walk away scot-free from being voldemort’s right hand man… tom can’t rely on someone like that, but anyway that's unrelated!!)

bella and rodo are Dependent on voldemort by the end of the first war. bc, like i said before, they’re both incredibly devotional and tom sucks them in so that the vast majority of this goes to him rather than like to rabastan, or narcissa, or each even each other. there’s still the sense that they’re married and they’re in this together and they will still defend each other etc etc. but like. consider a death eater meeting:

in the first war, i think bella and rodo would’ve sat next to each other, bc they’re husband and wife and so they should sit next to each other, but maybe by the end of that war and defo in the second one, i think bella sits next to voldemort and rodo sits who knows where. i think a lot about the death eater seating plans lol i think they’re v important, and i think as time goes on, for bella and rodo, it would become less important to maintain the proper position of husband and wife, and more important for their seating to reflect their positions in terms of their relationship to voldemort….

this all ties into the way the power dynamic between them twists and turns w rodo being the Husband, but bella (at least in the second war) being of higher standing in the death eaters (which to me is to do w the like. the aesthetics of the wars… the first war is marked by secrecy and strategy and someone like rodo would be highly valued (i've said before: poster boy) and imo he’s like. sat next to voldemort at the head of the table, across from lucius, w bella sat beside him… but the second war is messier and much more public and bella takes that seat instead and i think snape takes lucius’(?? would have to check) but anyway the power dynamics switch between them! interesting!)

Children and the Raising Thereof - started as a 5+1 of Shouta being baffled and slightly alarmed as he watched Izuku make friends, became a series of cute moments with the erasermic fam that may or may not be complete.

Class 1-A Is Typing - chatfic with erasercloudmic trying to teach/raise a collection of incredibly feral children. Includes Izuku who won’t stop biting villains and Hitoshi getting people to brainwash themselves by using the tried and true “Pedo says what?” Method.

Concrete Dust and Found Family - Battle trials have more realistic consequences at least when it comes to letting off a explosion in a contained space. Tenya, Ochako, and Izuku try to come to terms with the aftermath of having a building dropped on their heads.

Incoming call - Oneshot where Izuku is a frequent caller into PYHU Radio, and does what they always do when things get bad. They call in and talk to Mic.

Of Heroics and Healing - mha/hp crossover. At the end of third year Lupin heads to the only person crazy/connected enough to get Harry out of Dumbledore’s reach. That person? Sirius’ distant cousin who just so happens to be a hero in Japan. Hogwarts is not ready for the force of nature that is Shouta Aizawa with someone to protect.

Shouta Aizawa and His Feral Children - Crack. Pure crack. The birth of Biblically Accurate Hawks. Class 1-A is a collection of feral little demons only barely held in like by 16 rules put in place by Shouta.

Take Two (With Feeling This Time) - EraserGum step parents AU. Shouta and Taishiro agreed to put a pause on their relationship a year ago when they found two orphaned kids after a villain attack why needed the stability of a parent who was all in. A year later the kids are settled enough that their parents are willing to try this relationship thing again.

Two Heroes, A Kid, and Seven Death Martyrs - Izuku has a deeper connection with OfA earlier on which means they now have seven ghosts hanging around them and acting like a weird mix of friends, mental roommates, and parents. The ghosts convince them to ask for help before OfA can kill them, which leads Izuku to extra lessons/quirk counseling with Present Mic and Eraserhead.

Who Saves the Savior - mha/hp crossover. Harry is betrayed by magical Britain (generally) and Draco Malfoy (specifically) one too many times and decides to pack up his kid and two of his siblings to head for Japan and the three convenient teaching jobs that happen to be waiting for them. Includes Exhausted and Over It MoD!Harry, Actual Feral Sunshine Teddy, and three dumbasses trying to navigate emotions through mountains of trauma.

Veritas - Izuku gets kidnapped, shown the first bit of basic human decency in their life, and decides that they are going to force the world into becoming a better place through somewhat shady but ultimately altruistic means. LOV redemption.

allie i've been trying to gather the courage to reread close behind honestly ever since i first read it in march last year but i've been too. emotionally distraught to actually do so but! i've literally thought about it probably twice each week. and now i'm finally actually almost over my ex so i should just bite the bullet but im SCARED bc the last time i cried for 5 hours

like i literally remember 2 am on a weekday in literally -2 C weather and i sat on my balcony, wrapped in a blanket, chain smoking and reading at the same time, tears streaming down my face. all this to say i long for that catharsis but i'm. scared

omg. anon!! first of all it's probably weird how happy this kind of message makes me lol, like yay, i left you emotionally ravaged!!! mission accomplished!!

second of all: just remember the happy ending! read the last chapter first, and keep it in your mind as you read the rest!! think about everything that could come after it, too, like:

harry and draco's first awkward af date in hogsmeade. ron, daphne, their kids, and scorpius all follow them in various disguises courtesy of george and they are very obvious but harry and draco are too into each other to notice.

draco never wears black again. for every date with harry, he wears a different set of brightly-colored, over-the-top robes.

he steals harry's colorful fair isle sweaters all the time, too.

oh and he gets a weasley sweater like, day one of his renewed relationship with harry. molly had actually been knitting him a bunch over the years but held them back because she didn't want to make things weird or upset harry, so there's a backlog to get through. some have a little dragon stitched on them and ron is super jealous.

their first holiday at the burrow? emotional, life-changing, beautiful, cathartic. harry weeps at least five times. ginny punches him for old time's sake.

speaking of, headmaster harry who holds regular office hours for all hogwarts students in case they ever need to talk to him about something. even if they just want to talk about socks.

(headmaster harry who gets all embarrassed whenever anyone calls him "the youngest hogwarts headmaster in a century")

terrifying new DADA professor hermione granger, who is distressingly unpopular amongst the students because they're all too intimidated by her and it takes her a while to learn how to deal with kids.

until she skips out on a hogsmeade weekend to scandalously elope with a much younger former department of mysteries intern and then she's just incredibly cool to them.

and listen. scorpius locks himself in his room when he finds out about harry and draco's past. he asks draco if he'd ever loved astoria and makes draco cry. draco teaches him that the heart is a universe and he doesn't have any regrets and a wonderful future doesn't invalidate a past he was truly happy in.

and then!! there's stepdad harry. my favorite thing. scorpius asks harry how he knew he was gay. harry gives scorpius the invisibility cloak and asks him to help perfect his disillusionment charm in return. scorpius asks harry to rig the house cup for slytherin as his birthday gift. harry refuses, even though draco thinks it's only fair.

harry and draco date, get engaged, get married in their 40s. they go back and forth between hogwarts and the hogsmeade cottage (which includes ron and daphne's fam like 70% of the time too; harry loves summers spent as part of the extended weasley-greengrass-malfoy-potter family). draco eventually retires from curse-breaking and becomes a nepo hire charms professor after scorpius graduates.

they really do live happily ever after, after all that. promise. 😌

She thinks the monsters are trying to talk to her but she can hardly hear them, opting to hide instead. She ducks underneath the small cot for what feels like hours. Finally someone familiar comes: “Why wasn’t I informed of this immediately!?” It’s a voice she recognizes. “The way the ministry is vilifying upstanding Wizarding Houses has gotten completely out of hand! The Wizengamot has fallen prey to a personal agenda! They’re targeting my fam-” She peeks out from beneath the metal bed frame, eyes eager to confirm what her ears already know. “- Delphini!” Her grandfather looks exhausted and relieved all at once.

Cygnus takes her back to the Black’s country estate immediately. It’s comforting, it’s familiar - it isn’t home. He stays with her until he doesn’t, explaining how he needs to go back to the Ministry. “To get mama, too? Is that where they took her, too?” If anyone - outside of her father, of course - can get mummy away from those evil wizards it’s Cygnus. Her grandfather’s face crashes when she explains what happened, he holds her tight and stays with her until she falls asleep. When Delphini wakes up it's Narcissa who is holding her. 

It three more nights until she sees her grandfather again. This time he is not alone, there is a witch with dark hair and grey eyes walking in behind him. Delphini’s heart leaps for a moment until she recognizes her other aunt. Walburga looks even more a wreck than grandfather. Delphini is hiding at the top of the stairs, listening as they fill Narcissa in - Auntie Cissa is crying. No one will tell Delphi anything and now they’re saying a lot of words she doesn’t understand. “What’s Azkaban?” She asks, blowing her cover as she shuffles down the steps clutching an emerald blanket.

Delphini spends a lot of time bouncing between Grimmauld and the country seat. She loves her Aunt Walburga, she adores her grandfather, she still misses her parents. “They’ll be back, it’s just going to take some time - be patient.” Delphini waits.

When Walburga brings her back to the estate she usually stays for a while. Delphini gets it - she doesn’t like being alone either. They’re out in the gardens looking for nifflers when Delphi finds a snake. She greets it happily, turning around to introduce it to her aunt who scolds her viciously: “No one can know you speaks to snakes Delphini Black!" No one can know about your parents! She means. Delphini hates it. Hates living in the shadow of the two people who aren’t even here anymore. Her eyes well with angry tears, running up to her rooms that still don’t feel like home before slamming the door. She just wanted to be friends with the stupid snake. 

Her magic is chaotic. It’s exhausts Cygnus and frustrates Walburga. Delphini can control this chaos far too well, is far too intentional with these “accidental” outbursts. The little witch doesn’t realize how abnormal it is, to be so well acquainted with magic so young. She is oblivious to the gifts her parents gave her - she carries much more than just their faces. 

“You just have to be patient, Delphini.” She is tired of being patient. 

Narcissa brings Draco over often. She’ll take Delphini out with them to events as well. "The children still need to be social." It’s boring. She’s not allowed to use magic in front of anyone else. The shadow grows.

Walburga dies when Delphini is six. She is a mess at the funeral, devastated beyond repair. She sobs loudly and it’s Narcissa that has to walk away with her - Lucius is staying with Draco, Cygnus is own brand of devastated. She brings Delphi back to Malfoy manor and tells her stories about Bella. Delphi sits with her head along her aunt’s shoulder and listens. “What about father, do you have any stories about him, too?” Her aunt has much less to say. 

Delphini is riddled with nightmares. She dreams of a dark cell, black figures closing in on her. Of a dark forest, one where she can't see any stars. Sometimes she hears them, nothing could ever make her forget the sound of their voices. She wakes up freezing cold every time.

“When?” She asks again, still not sure exactly what she is waiting for. “How much longer?” Soon, they all tell her. Soon. They’re all liars.

Cygnus dies when she is ten years old. He is not there when she has to move in with the Malfoys. He is not there when they read out his Will and Testament and inform Delphini that the ancestral home and all future assets will fall to her when she is of age. He is not there when her Hogwarts letter comes. He is not with her when she gets her first wand. He's not at the platform when she gets aboard the train. She hates him, hates him for leaving her. Her parents aren’t there either.  

Her Uncle slips her a book, it feels used, the leather soft and worn. She looks at him curiously, the Hogwarts Express whistling in the background, beckoning. “It was your Father’s.” He explains, walking with her towards the edge of the platform. “He’d want you to have it.” Delphini smiles at him, waving goodbye to her aunt and cousin before turning onto the train. 

Perhaps, her patience is finally paying off...

So to say the least I am ever so bored and looking to get some new roleplays up and running. First off the very most important thing to know about me is I'm 25 coming to you from the Cringy One Direction Roleplay era. So please please please be at least 18 but I would prefer 20 and up in a perfect world. I ONLY write on Discord in the third person. My minimum is two paragraphs and my max well she's all over the place typically around five paragraphs. I'm ghost and cringe-friendly. I love building playlists and interest boards for RPs and world-building and just all the OOC chit-chat you could dream of. I'm looking for romance and if all parties are comfy some spice in the plot along with everything else we could ever dream up within reason. I'm open to writing all pairing types and OCxCC or CCxCC but no OCxOC sorry! But I double! :) Fandoms and a little more about what I'm looking for in each one. Marvel/MCU/Comics: I am a die-hard Phlint shipper and I am always down to write them. I have hardcore missed this pair so damn much since Omegle left us. There are other canon ships I'm down to write as well the list is hella long and fluctuates with my mood so please ask and I'll happily supply you with that list and whom I write. Ok OK so last one and like this shit is hella specific so don't mind me I'm just being hopeful. Percy Jackson (TV series) I read book one years ago gonna start a read-through soon. I am Specifically looking for an AresxF OC of mine. I'm hoping to find someone flexible and willing to help me make sense of this cracked-out plot I've had bouncing around in my brain for weeks.
