Not sure I've ever actually verbalized this properly before but what genuinely makes Crocodad a theory I'm emotionally invested in, is how like

Like the kinda implication here is that, because Ivankov's HRT is MAGIC and gives you a functional cis body (it's all about that wish fulfillment baybee), Crocodile could not have transitioned until after the baby was born (since he wouldn't have the bits for it anymore). Which begs the question of, why would he not have transitioned before ever even getting pregnant? And to me, unless Ivankov just didn't get their DF until it was "too late", like. It really would just make sense if Crocodile never figured his gender shit out until he got pregnant. Like IDK, maybe I'm just projecting my personal pregnancy repulsion onto him, but like. Watching your body change against your will into something very traditionally feminine and do irreversible damage to your body (pregnancy hormones be scary yo) as some parasite grows inside you and having these deeply gendered expectations just thrusted upon you (not even like directly by other people, but just the societal expectation that's been taught to you since forever that you now kind of assume you have to live up to). Like that sounds like a horrible, dysphoria inducing nightmare to go through, something that could very easily become the straw that breaks the camel's back (or, the sledgehammer that cracked the egg)

And then you add the fact that Crocodile could not have held any negative feelings towards the baby, otherwise the brat would've been aborted. Meaning despite all the horrible shit he was going through internally, Crocodile still loved that child and was willing to go through hell for it

But then you add the fact that, as I've discussed in the past, it's very likely the baby was going to be left in Garp's care from the very begining. Like that might've been the plan from the get-go. So Crocodile was carrying a child he knew he would have to give up and would probably never see again.

Like. All of that is so emotionally fucking devastating.

But then!! You get some hope because hey, Crocodile figuring his gender shit out and being able to get help from Ivankov would mean he could escape the Dysphoria Hell at the very least, like there's that bit of relief, right?

But then. Fucking. Dragon??? Is he bi, or did they get divorced because Dragon's not into men??? Is the Dragodile Divorce real???

'Cause if so. Like. Again, to re-iterate. Crocodile went through 9 months of nightmareish dysphoria hell to birth a child he loved but knew he could never see ever again, and while he got to have that dysporia alliviated thanks to Ivankov, doing so also resulted in him losing his husband.

Like even just conceptually that is so fucking

Like yes Crocodad has so much potential to be hysterical and an absolute clown show, and my speculation about The Details of it are indeed just speculation and could be completely wrong.

the fact that Nandor not only knew to keep the glasses on him during the ceremony despite any hope he might have had paired with not only him silently handing them over but also the fact that they don't... talk about it. Guillermo just quietly thanks him as if that wasn't the most fucking brutal understated gesture of defeat for them both. they literally both had to face it fully in that moment that he'd chosen mortality. they both lost their dreams and the first exchange after it's done is Nandor silently confessing that he not only knows Guillermo inside and out but that he was prepared to still care for Guillermo regardless. and it goes just as unsaid as everything else between them. I'm unwell

I think Freminet has some of the most interesting dissonance in his self perception of any Genshin character.

Like, of the Hearthlings we know, he's one of the most emotionally mature and intelligent. Lynette might still have him beat, but after playing her hangout... I dunno. I think they're tied. Lyney is Crumbling, Alrecchino is. Well. Arlecchino. Everyone else is a deeply traumatized child or adult and Freminet seems to pretty regularly be people's emotional support. His character stories talk about getting his vision by saving a bunch of other kids on a dive that went bad. The Selkie event literally had him being a therapist for a grownass woman, citing his past experiences with all the other Hearthlings that have died or killed themselves. And he handled that situation WELL. Yeah, he seems to live in a fantasy, but goddamn he's alive and a lot of people in his position aren't so clearly something is working.

Either his or Lyney's character story talks about the time Freminet had reached out to Lyney to try to ease his burdens, which resulted in Lyney blowing up at him. That probably contributed to Freminet thinking he's not good at it, but I think the reason Lyney reacted so badly was BECAUSE Freminet is actually a good support. He can't allow himself that from the little brother he's supposed to protect.

Freminet seems to both cry and dissociate often, but like... Kiddo you are in fact the only person in this family actually processing your emotions. Lynette dissociates 24/7. Arlecchino. Lyney lies and tells everyone he's fine and would literally rather die than admit otherwise. In comparison, Freminet is doing FANTASTIC

Freminet also gets a lot out of helping people! Like anyone, he needs to feel useful and needed. He seems to be an excellent mentor to the younger Hearthlings and perfectly competent on his own, but when you put him in a room with Lyney and Lynette who baby him and insist that THEY take care of HIM, he withdraws into himself.

Like, Freminet by himself feels like a young man and Freminet with the magician twins feels like a teenager. I have no idea how old he actually is. Logically, he would be OLDER than them! He's been with the House much, much longer and his experience shows. I think it's fascinating that they love him SO MUCH and yet, they just Cannot let him help them. Which is hurting him.

(Lynette is much better about not babying him and that is probably why their relationship is so much better than Freminet and Lyney's. Also why she keeps having to mediate between them. Because Lyney charges off trying to Fix Everything and that just makes Freminet feel useless and he doesn't want to get in the way and- you get the point)

Idk. It's hard to tell what things the previous director said to him vs what Arlecchino has said to him. I'm inclined to think our Arlecchino was the one that said he cries too much, but in a "crying in front of your enemies will get you killed" way and she herself is too fucked up to realize how "you cry too much" could be damaging.

Also I try not to consider gameplay stuff when it comes to story, but Freminet also has some of the most BRUTAL animations. He SMASHES HIS EMOTIONAL SUPPORT METAL PENGUIN INTO HIS ENEMY'S FACE. He doesn't think he's the most amazing fighter, and by Fatui standards he probably isn't, but he is winning fights against most grown men.

Tldr Freminet thinks he cries too much and is a burden and isn't good at helping people when he's actually the most mentally stable Hearthling send tweet

You know those homework assignments where you have to interview someone in your family and then write an essay about their responses? Fic where Peter's class is told to interview their dad / a father figure in their life. 

Peter decides to interview Tony. But, he doesn't want his class to accuse him of lying, and he definitely doesn't want Tony to know what the assignment is about. 

So for Tony, Peter makes it seem like the assignment is just to interview anyone. Then, he carefully chooses questions to ask that are domestic and personal enough to avoid any mention of superheroes, celebrities, or so on. The few details that do slip through he just leaves out of his final essay.

For the class problem, Peter solves it by referring to Tony in the essay exclusively as "dad"

Unfortunately for Peter, the teacher then announces a part 2 to the assignment. Right after collecting the essays, the teacher says they will now need to bring the people they interviewed to school for their presentations

Peter has pretty much decided to not even mention it to Tony and just say his dad is busy. But then Flash has to open his big mouth. 

He accuses Peter of just making his assignment up, loudly reminding the class that he's an orphan. Peter clarifies that this father figure thing is a new development, but now the teacher looks suspicious

Peter is going to have to ask Tony to come to his school. And he's going to have to explain why the class will be full of kids and their fathers
