DEXTER 3x11 - "I Had A Dream" (2008) Dir. Marcos Siega

Jake Weary (Oh, Canada), Melissa Benoist (Supergirl), Rafael L. Silva (9-1-1: Lone Star), Humberly González (Ginny & Georgia), Danielle Campbell (Tell Me a Story) and Brady Hepner (The Holdovers) have joined the cast of Netflix‘s The Waterfront, written and executive produced by Kevin Williamson.

Gerardo Celasco (The Devil in Ohio) and Michael Gaston (Daredevil: Born Again) have been set in recurring roles. Zach Roerig (Vampire Diaries) will appear as a guest star. They join the previously announced cast Holt McCallany who will play Harlan Buckley and Maria Bello, who will play Mae Buckley.

Inspired by true events, the 8-episode series dives into the flawed Buckley family as their attempts to retain control of their crumbling North Carolina fishing empire drive them to increasingly dangerous means to keep themselves afloat.

Weary will play Cane Buckley, Harlan Buckley’s only son who has a complicated relationship with his father but never stops trying to do the right thing by his dad and can’t seem to say no to him. Married to Peyton and the father of a young daughter, Cane likes the money his family business affords him, a Band-Aid for the life he got instead of the life he wanted.

Benoist will play Bree Buckley, the intelligent and hot-tempered Buckley who formerly oversaw the fishery’s finances and, like her father, has allowed alcohol to ruin her bright future. After losing custody of her son, Bree struggles to maintain a relationship with him while maintaining her sobriety.

Silva will play Shawn Wilson, a newly employed bartender for the Buckleys, Shawn is intrigued by the family and carries a secret that could upend the family forever.

González will play Jenna Tate, a journalist who leaves the city to return to Beaufort to tend to her ailing father. Returning to her hometown, she is confronted with past relationships, including her high school sweetheart, Cane Buckley, who still holds a flame for her.

Campbell will play Peyton Buckley. A proper Southern woman, Peyton is built to sparkle. The wife of Cane Buckley and mother of an 8-year-old, she loves Cane and understands his complex relationship with his dad.

Hepner will play Diller Hopkins, Bree’s son who now lives with her ex-husband. Diller is a resentful teenager, a product of having an alcoholic mother. Although Bree is looking to mend their relationship, Diller treats her with hostility and turns to his grandfather Harlan, whom he idolizes.

Celasco will play DEA Agent Marcus Sanchez; Gaston as Sherrif Clyde Porter; and Roerig will play Troy.

Williamson and Ben Fast executive produce for Outerbanks Entertainment. Marcos Siega (You, Dexter: New Blood) will direct the first two episodes and serve as executive producer for the pilot. Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group, where Williamson is under an overall deal, is the studio.

La tierra que produce vida hasta saciarnos.

Versículos de la Biblia.

Génesis 1:9-13 Dijo también Dios: Júntense las aguas que están debajo de los cielos en un lugar, y descúbrase lo seco. Y fue así. Y llamó Dios a lo seco Tierra, y a la reunión de las aguas llamó Mares. Y vio Dios que era bueno. Después dijo Dios: Produzca la tierra hierba verde, hierba que dé semilla; árbol de fruto que dé fruto según su género, que su semilla esté en él, sobre la tierra. Y fue así. Produjo, pues, la tierra hierba verde, hierba que da semilla según su naturaleza, y árbol que da fruto, cuya semilla está en él, según su género. Y vio Dios que era bueno. En el Antiguo Testamento, la tierra representa a Cristo como fuente que genera. Esta tierra fue sepultada debajo de las aguas de muerte y volvió a subir en el tercer día. Según lo revela el relato del Antiguo Testamento, de esta tierra brotó toda clase de vida: la vida vegetal, la vida animal y la misma vida humana. El hombre fue hecho del polvo de la tierra. En tipología, eso significa que toda clase de vida procede de Cristo.

Después de la caída de la humanidad, durante la época de Noé, la tierra volvió a quedar cubierta de las aguas de muerte, lo cual significa que el hombre estaba separado de Cristo. La humanidad estaba separada del deleite de la buena tierra. Después la tierra fue recobrada de nuevo. La tierra fue restaurada hasta el día de la rebelión de Babel, cuando el hombre cayó aún más, y toda la humanidad se rebeló contra Dios. De modo que Dios llamó a un linaje con Abraham como padre para que entrara en la tierra elevada, la buena tierra de Canaán. Esta buena tierra representa también a Cristo. Abraham fue llamado a salir de Babel e ir a la buena tierra. Hemos sido llamados a salir de la rebelión para entrar en Cristo, nuestra buena tierra. Ahora esta buena tierra nos pertenece y está lista para producir vida.

“Porque de suyo lleva fruto la tierra, primero hierba, luego espiga, después grano lleno en la espiga; “y cuando el fruto está maduro, en seguida se mete la hoz, porque la siega ha llegado” (Marcos 4:26–29).

Hermanos: Siempre llenos de buen ánimo y sabiendo que, mientras habitamos en el cuerpo, estamos desterrados lejos del Señor, caminamos en fe y no en visión. Pero estamos de buen ánimo y preferimos ser desterrados del cuerpo y vivir junto al Señor. Por lo cual, en destierro o en patria, nos esforzamos en agradarlo. Porque todos tenemos que comparecer ante el tribunal de Cristo para recibir cada cual por lo que haya hecho mientras tenía este cuerpo, sea el bien o el mal.

En aquel tiempo, Jesús decía al gentío: «El reino de Dios se parece a un hombre que echa semilla en la tierra. Él duerme de noche y se levanta de mañana; la semilla germina y va creciendo, sin que él sepa cómo. La tierra va produciendo fruto sola: primero los tallos, luego la espiga, después el grano. Cuando el grano está a punto, se mete la hoz, porque ha llegado la siega». Dijo también: «¿Con qué podemos comparar el reino de Dios? ¿Qué parábola usaremos? Con un grano de mostaza: al sembrarlo en la tierra es la semilla más pequeña, pero después de sembrada crece, se hace más alta que las demás hortalizas y echa ramas tan grandes que los pájaros del cielo pueden anidar a su sombra». Con muchas parábolas parecidas les exponía la palabra, acomodándose a su entender. Todo se lo exponía con parábolas, pero a sus discípulos se lo explicaba todo en privado.

La parábola de la semilla que crece

En la tradición rabínica, una semilla esparcida por el sembrador se utilizaba a menudo para describir y simbolizar algo diminuto. Jesús solía recurrir a esta verdad para referirse a su reino como una pequeña semilla sembrada.

Pese a las probabilidades, la pequeña semilla sembrada crecerá.

En el capítulo 4 del Evangelio de Marcos, Jesús comparte una serie de parábolas en torno al tema de las semillas y los sembradores. Están enlazadas como un collar de margaritas. En parábolas anteriores, Jesús es la persona que siembra.

Pero en el pasaje de hoy, Jesús habla de ti y de mí como “el sembrador”. En otras palabras, Dios quiere que nos asociemos con él para cumplir sus propósitos. Dios siembra, y nos invita a participar en sus planes y a unirnos a él para convertirnos en una pieza clave de este proceso.

Eso, en sí mismo, es un regalo. A medida que crecemos en Cristo, nos volvemos más y más fructíferos. Comenzamos a brotar de la tierra, conforme nuestras semillas empiezan a germinar y a crecer.

Es como si Dios nos llamara a ser " propagadores de semillas". Cada uno de nosotros se incorpora a los propósitos divinos, y nuestro papel se adapta a las habilidades y capacidades únicas que Dios nos ha dado.

Se ha dicho que no debemos juzgar el fruto por la cosecha que recogemos, sino por las semillas que sembramos.

Lo vemos reflejado en la vida cuando las madres transmiten semillas de cariño y amor a sus hijos; los profesores de las escuelas siembran semillas de ánimo y conocimiento en sus alumnos; los pastores y líderes siembran semillas del amor de Dios en sus congregaciones.

Todos los días plantamos semillas que repercuten en otras personas.

Ahora preguntémonos: ¿Qué tipo de semillas podemos plantar en la vida de otras personas?

Si realmente pensamos en el impacto que tiene sembrar semillas, entonces aquellas que podemos arrojar son infinitas porque Dios es infinitamente creativo y ha depositado una inmensa creatividad en nosotros.

Dios nos ha dado a cada uno de nosotros semillas para que las llevemos a las personas que él ama. Recíbelas, suéltalas y espárcelas, y observa cómo el poder del Espíritu Santo les da vida en el mundo que te rodea y en aquellos a tu alrededor.

This song is a cathartic one for Weezer frontman Rivers Cuomo, who takes out his family frustrations in the. Released in 2001, it was the first single off the band's third album Weezer ( The Green Album ), and the only one of the Summer Songs of 2000 songs to make it onto the album, although 'Dope Nose' and 'Slob' were released on Maladroit. The Jimmy Pop remix of “Hash Pipe” is nothing special. Its referring to singer Rivers Cuomo stepfather. ' Hash Pipe ' is a song by American rock band Weezer. Starlight and Teenage Victory Song are effective examples of the band’s minor-key, post-punk/Beatles sound. The various singles included a variety of unreleased tracks and treats, none of which are better than what turned up on the green album. What any of it has to do with a transvestite hooker (the song’s purported theme) is beyond me. At first, the only thing I liked about the song was the line “I got my ass wiped,” until I realized Rivers really was singing about a hash pipe. Rivers Cuomo went into seclusion after their second album, Pinkerton, in 1996. When will bands learn that “Peter Gunn” and “Wild Thing” are poison? Also, the lyrics are indecipherable.
