Exclusive Arcadia ship visit for Totton College students

Earlier this week, Travel and Tourism students were given exclusive access to the P&O Cruises ship Arcadia. One student described the visit as, “a stylish and classy experience.” The BTEC Level 3 Travel and Tourism students visited the ship to gain insight to the world of the cruise ship industry, which links to the course’s curriculum. They were given an extensive tour of the whole ship, which included visiting the many dining areas, casino, champagne bar and luxurious spa.

Student Ellie Stone said, “The Arcadia trip was a wonderful experience. The atrium was so impressive, but my favourite moment was taking a ride in the outside glass lift - it was a fantastic view!”

Linda Taylor, Travel and Tourism teacher, said: “This was a unique opportunity given to our students and I’d like to thank the P&O staff for their impeccable hospitality.”
