CREEK: if you don't like them i don't like you idc. they're so boyfriends. they are boyfriends. they canonically stay together for 40+ years. they hold hand. canonized crack ship turned best pairing in whole show. they are so wholesome <33 fuck you if you hate creek.

STYLE: my babies!!!! i love them very much! they love each other very much :) they beat up cartman together. they love each other so much it's painful. style breakups make me cry.

KENMAN: prob my favorite cartman ship. listen, cartman's an asshole, but he and kenny have matching necklaces and kenny puts up with his shit better than anyone else in the main four and cartman gives kenny troll headphones to watch movies with to make sure he doesn't get sad. they always laugh at stupid shit together while style stares at them in exasperation you can't change my mind.

I’ve seen a couple posts that are mad about Marjorine, and why Butters is portrayed as trans so often, especially in Bunny (Kenjorine). Butters doesn’t dress up like a girl of his own accord, so why make him transition to it? When Kenny so clearly wanted to be a princess?

Here’s the thing though, Kenny is 100% gender-fluid in my mind. The reason she felt like being a princess was just because that’s how she felt that day. But sometimes he’s not, and he’s more masculine(maybe dark and brooding, like Mysterion?) Doesn’t that seem right?

But also Marjorine is cute, and Butters really does look like he’s having fun dressed up and “pretending” to be a girl. So another reason that Marjorine works is because I want it to. I want her to be real. Cis Butters works too, though, because it makes sense in most of the canon outside ‘Marjorine’ (S9 E9).

I guess what I’m saying is that Kenny is Gender-fluid and has two hands, one for Butters and one for Marjorine.

an overanalysis of “Marjorine” and why it means butters is trans

okay obviously take everything I’m about to point out with a huge grain of salt because none of this is canon and probs total bs, but I like having fun with it anyway.

marjorine’s introduction can represent her coming out as trans. butters faking his death is his attempt at starting over, however is unsure about the publicity of it all. His nervousness as presenting as Marjorine after Butters’ death at school can be seen as Marj being afraid of public reception. The things she says too can also be her trying to fit in to be perceived as “more feminine.” However, the other kids don’t really notice or seem to care, not even noticing who she was before (one of the girls asked “who’s butters?”) While she is accepted as trans, that doesn’t make her immune to judgement.

when Marjorine goes to Heidi’s sleepover, she is bullied because of her appearance. despite knowing that she is trans, the other girls have trouble accepting her differences and more masculine features. at one point, Bebe calls Marj flat. Notice her reaction in the screenshot above. She looks down at her chest and appears alarmed. She fears her physical differences, which can be interpreted as gender dysphoria.

While this can be seen as him being afraid of being caught as a boy being snuck in, let’s look at the next scene.

Marj goes and cries in the bathroom. When the girls try to ask what’s wrong, she says that they called her “ugly and flat.” Flat was used earlier and triggered her dysphoria. And ugly is used because she may not have more traditionally feminine features. Also, she says this: “You don’t know how hard it is to be me!”

This shows the girls that they don’t understand the hardships of gender dysphoria and the struggles that come with coming out, making them realize their faults and learn to feel more sympathetic towards her.

Marj then starts to get along with the other girls, finally feeling like one of them and accepted for who she is. She is even given a makeover by the girls.

When the boys come and get her, Butters is fed up and takes off her wig and makeup. He wants to go home and show her parents that he’s “not dead.” Remember how Butters’ fake suicide could represent him trying to separate from his old identity. Going back on that to show that Butters is alive could imply that Butters’ parents are transphobic and he is scared of the consequences/doesn’t want to make them upset.

When Butters returns home, his parents are terrified of who he’s become (although their fear is irrational.) Their grief over the “loss” of their son caused them to deny Marj’s transition from mtf, not even wanting to accept Butters even after he goes back to normal. On top of that, they call him an “it.” Earlier in the episode, Stephen tries to bring Butters back to life, which could represent him trying to persuade him to go back to presenting more masculine, yet to no avail.

Kenny Rant

This got really long. I’m sorry.

I wanna talk about Kenny because he’s my favourite. And he’s a silly little guy. I may be projecting a teensy bit but Im just going to scream into the void and you can listen if you want.

Kenny is Cartman’s best friend. Kenny is Butters’ best friend. These can coexist.

Kenny is not saving Butters from Cartman. 2 Reasons:

1. Butters is not an uwu boi who needs protecting. He’s an asshole who’s a little too trusting sometimes.

2. Kenny is not some flirty strong dude-bro. He’s an asshole and a quiet kid who’s just happy to be included.

That’s not to say that I don’t ship Bunny. I do (sue me). but more like a teacher who seats two kids next to each other because they’d be cute together, than as an actual canon ship.

Another thing real quick is Kenjorine. I do wish people would give Marjorine more of Butters’ personality, but someone’s take was that in the episode “Marjorine” Butters never wanted to be Marjorine, therefore she’s just used as a love interest for Kenny, is objectively wrong. Yes Marjorine was Cartman’s idea. Yes Butters was hesitant. But no one can deny how happy Butters looked as Marjorine and the fun she had. Is Marjorine hyperfeminized? Yes absolutely, and it is annoying. But headcanons are okay! Transfem Butters who goes by Marjorine, Genderfluid Butters who can go by Marjorine, etc, yes go for it! But claiming Marjorine is NOT Butters and JUST a love interest for Kenny? :/ Its all fun and games here. Let people have fun and games.

Anyway, back to Kenny because no one understands him like I do.😔

KENNY IS NOT A FLIRTY WHORE. He is kind of a pervert who probably had unrestricted internet access and found porn waaaaayyyy to early. But that does not mean he’s a total slut who will sleep around with anyone and everyone. On a similar note, he’s also not mr. popular either. He’s a quiet kid. He doesn’t talk a lot and often fades into the background. He enjoys hanging out with Stan, Kyle, and Cartman. I can only think of one time he willing chose not to hangout with Cartman. He enjoys it! He loves going along with they’re crazy shenanigans! He loves to be included. Because if he’s not included, he’s forgotten about. He dies all the time and no one remembers. He misses out on so much. I’m sure he feels really left out sometimes. (If you like the someone remembers headcanon), does anyone ever catch him up on what happened after he dies?

Imma leave that question there and move on. Kenny is obviously a wonderful brother who cares deeply about his family. However I really wish the show touched more on his relationship with Kevin. Do they bond over shared trauma? Or grow apart because of how similar Kevin is to their father? I like to think that they’re close. But they likely aren’t.

Slight switch. Another characterization I see a lot is that Kenny is a crackhead or similar. I really don’t think Kenny would do a lot of drugs. He lived in a household that had a meth lab in the back yard and his parents were almost always drunk or high. I don’t think he would want that for himself. I know there’s that one episode where he gets high on cat piss and daffodils or something. That’s there. It exists. I know. I would like to think he would have some character development between 8 years old and the typical 16-21 years he’s usually aged up to. I don’t know though, it was never mentioned again. You’re entitled to your own opinion but I just don’t think he’d stick with it.

Honestly I am apart of it and you may consider me as "those South Park fans" since I write fanfiction about them . BUT. PLEASE LISTEN TO WHAT I HAVE TO SAY.

I probably won't be able to change all of your point of view but let me explain mine.

I don't not see anything wrong with minors having crushes on the sp boys . Since , who never had crushes in their lives honestly. And I also must say , aging them up and being a minor having a crush on the boys, DOESN'T MAKE IT WORSE. It litteraly could be way worse. Like a adult having a crush on one of the kids or not making them aged up for the fanfictions and stuff. Also i saw a lot of people saying that making them aged up is not a reason to simp for them... But then wouldn't you shouldn't be able to like the PC versions of them too? Since it's only the aged up version of them , yeah it might be in the show but it's still aged up.

Also the ships , i respect all ships , except the proships of course.(and Kyman) everyone has opinions about ships , but going under a Style post to say "Stendy is better" is just stupid asf.(Coming from a Stendy Shipper)

But some of the ships sometimes just don't make sense to me , and I just won't support it . No need to try and push me into liking it as well.

I also understand that some people may still find it weird that there ships of 10 years olds but there's nothing wrong , ships have always existed for every age and it has never been a real problem , and plus it's only innocent and childhood love exist. Though not everything is love , sometimes they just be friends and some people will see that a romantical love.

I also must talk about the Headcanons people make... I apologize if I offend anyone with this but some don't make sense at all.

Like Butters transitioning to Marjorine,I just cannot see Butters as a female when he is literally one of the biggest misogynistic guy in south park he might even be more than Cartman , also scene Kyle , is just kind of confusing since Kyle would NEVER be the kind of guy to be scene canonically..

Stan being a alcoholic is also a little confusing, though I understand it , but i think we all know how Stan would try to be different from his father and drink less. But I agree that it makes sense with Post Covid Stan . Kenny being gay is also very confusing , when Kenny is litterally one of the straightess character , he is shown to like woman during the whole show , so I don't understand why make him totally gay and not even bisexual or pansexual, which would be more logic. I don't have much to say about the way people Headcanon Cartman .

Hii, my name's any (or you can call me gio, it's your choice), I'm new to tumbl and I admit I look like an old man using this site lol, but I learn as I go;

before she started dating cartman, she would mask her depression. even though she was one of the popular girls who 'got along with everyone',, and cared about her reputation (which is why i think she was judgemental towards Marjorine in Marjorine), she still felt out of place but she would hide it and pretend she was fine and content. but she never had a best friend and she desperately craved some form of close bond which she would later get from Cartman.

canonically Irish, i like to think she and her parents lived in Ireland when she was much younger until they moved to Colorado but she barely remembers anything, they still sometimes visit Ireland for holidays to see her grandparents. (and i also like to think her grandma taught her how to cook and how to knit, and knitted her hat)

after she got changed by Cartman, she started drifting apart from all her friends, and even when she and Cartman broke up she still doesn't have the best reputation and she lost a lot of bonds, so she started feeling out of place AGAIN even after she broke it off with him... but she knows it's for the best.

But as she's been healing, and been away from Cartman, learning about herself and what she truly loves doing, and learning to love herself, she doesn't feel the need to pretend about much anymore, which actually happened to make her more genuine and people took actual interest in being her friend (even if she wasn't exactly as popular as she was before) (PS i have no idea what actually canonically happened to her after Splatty Tomato so uhh this might contradict canon)

ok they're definitely not friends but i find the fact that sharon doesn't like her so funny... there's a potentially interesting dynamic to explore there. other than that it's a bit hard to say! she seems so emotionally distant/volatile that it's hard to imagine her having any close friends, though she hangs out with the other moms a lot. she seemed to have a lot of friends in hawaii, and looked happier in pictures of her time there, so i wonder if she struggled to make friends after moving to south park?

she was very unhappy as the family settled down in south park and the novelty of it wore off, and some of her behaviour was due to a slight quarter-to-life-crisis of, like. "oh god, i married and had a kid too young, we live in a small town out in the middle of nowhere, my husband is bored too and he's cheating on me, nothing is fun, do i hate my kid? do i resent this life? how can i escape it?" she started to mellow out in very recent seasons because her and stephen are "letting loose" again a little, remembering that they're not old and doomed to be miserable. which is better for the family, but probably very confusing for their poor kid, who now has to contend with the fact that his parents - who were comically abusive up until he was ten - are starting to change, leaving his home life without a solid structure.

(i wouldn't be unhappy if this was disproven, though, because i actually liked the stotches when they were fucked up as all hell... lol)

she's just as bad as stephen, and with her it's harder to gauge what her feelings towards butters really are... she loves him a great deal, i think, but empty words do not a loving relationship make, and i wonder if it really comes across to him when her actions are so... unpredictable?

also! in fanart she tends to be extremely pretty and waiflike but i think she's probably not all that conventionally attractive and she's certainly no waif! she's just an average woman in her thirties, with a serious job, who volunteers as treasurer for the council. she's not some dolled up housewife - she's a mentally ill mother of one and she cleans when she's stressed out.
