My friend is trying to get top surgery in October.

He is a medical student who used to work night shifts on the side.

However we don't want him to collapse and die from a lack of sleep or too much stress.

That's why we hope to raise some money through this fundraiser in order to pay for his surgery.

Just sat down to do the thing I've been putting off, call the place about a thing.

They do not have a phone number. They have a form were you can tell them your phone number and the 4 hour chunk of time you want them to call you back. .... I hate this.

Guess I am picking the 3 hour chunk I'll be most likely to be awake all days next week and have a shitty, anxious, exhausting week next week until they call me on a random day at a near random time.

And today instead I'll buy groceries and meal prep over the weekend. Or I know I'll not eat until the phone call happened. Because my ability to prepare and remember to eat meals while extremely anxious is non existent...

So my Mastek was denied.

Because "the diagnosis is not secured enough"?

I hate that I can't have a face to face with these people denying me life saving health care to tell them to their face that they are pushing me towards and over the edge with their blatant systemic transphobia.

I'm chronically ill, constantly in pain and I need to get back into moving my body, exercising and shit to stay at least a little bit healthier. The flesh sacks on my chest are the biggest reason keeping me out of a gym. I can't exercise in a binder. I can't go into the mans changing room and I sure as hell can't go into the womens anymore.

All the breakdowns I had in the shower, the fantasies about cutting them off with a knife, not being able to be intimate with my partner sometimes because my body feels so wrong.

All invalid.

Can't be trans.

Because some asshole that has never even met me said so.

I hate this world we're living in and I'm so torn between fight and die.

Why do I need years of therapy so these people still don't believe my therapist when she says this is what I need? Shouldn't it be enough that *I* know what I need??

I didn't wake up one day and said well I wanna choo dem boobs off just for fun! I wish i didn't have to, I'm literally scared shitless by the procedure and I still know that's the only way for me to go.

Fuck these people. Fuck our health care system and fuck systemic transphobia.

I'm so fucking pissed and done at the same time.

Wish I could inflict the same kind of pain onto that lowlife who wrote the denial that reading the letter inflicted on me.

I nearly fucking harmed and ended myself yesterday because of it.

How is this okay? How do they keep getting away with literally murdering trans people by denying us the health care we need?
