🇨🇦This weekend, we discovered the National Trail: 27km through the Mastigouche wildlife reserve.

Admission Is Free To Canada’s National Parks In 2017
We’re the second largest country on this planet earth And if Russia keeps on shrinking then soon we’ll be First–Arrogant Worms, “Canada’s Really Big” (1997) This year marks the 150th year of Canadian Confederation.  To commemorate the event, Parks Canada is offering free admission to all of their historic sites, marine conservation areas and national parks this year.  For those of you who always wanted to explore Canada, now is the time to check out these popular accommodations close to the national parks. Image: Wikipedia CommonsEmerald Lake Lodge Yoho National Park The Emerald Lake Lodge has an oak bar the owners salvaged from an 1890’s Yukon saloon and century-old stone fireplaces, too.  It’s situated lakeside in British Columbia’s Yoho National Park.  It’s constructed of hand-hewn timber and features dining areas, reading rooms, 24 cabin-style buildings and verandas offer excellent views of the nearby mountains. Image: Jasper Park LoungeFairmont Jasper Park Lodge Jasper National Park The Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge is a UNESCO World Heritage Site situated on the shore of Lac Beauvert in Jasper National Park in Alberta.  The 700-acre getaway includes a golf course, outdoor fire pits, luxury cabins and cedar chalets.  Don’t forget to check out Miette Hot Springs (the hottest thermal pools in Canada), the view from Goat Lookout and the Athabasca Glacier. Image: PinterestHôtel Quintessence Mont-Tremblant National Park Located In the Laurentian Mountains in Québec, the  30-room, luxury boutique Hôtel Quintessence is a 20-minute drive from Mont-Tremblant National Park.  The hotel offers guests a private garden, canoeing, hiking, and swimming.  Winter activities include dog sledding, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. Image: PinterestHotel Sacacomie La Mauricie National Park The Hotel Sacacomie is built like a European log cabin.  It can be found between Montreal and Québec City in the  Mastigouche Wildlife Reserve.  It’s less than an hour away from La Mauricie National Park.  The restaurant is praised for its menu of traditional European delicacies. Image: WikimediaÎle Aux Perroquets Lighthouse Mingan Archipelago National Park Reserve Île aux Perroquets lighthouse is situated high atop an islet in Mingan Archipelago National Park Reserve.  Witness the activities of the nesting Atlantic puffins.  Learn about the island’s history via a Parks Canada guide and dine on meals made with both local and seasonal ingredients.
