Been in a mild funk lately, didn't feel like doing my usual weekly Saturday baseball update. Suffice it to say that several of my favorite players did something cool last week.

The shaking caused by the quake snapped him out of his train of thought, knocking him to the ground and leaving him with a few minutes of nothing. When he finally stood, head ringing from where it had hit the floor, he noticed the wails of pain and confusion from Main Street. Instinct told him to run, but not in the opposite direction but towards it. He had to find Jay and Phoenix.

"Matt," he called out as he eventually spotted the other, slowing his sprint and clutching at his chest as he took in long, laboured breaths, "what the hell happened?"

I’m the “Draft Dodgers for Rodgers” anon and I’ve read your additions like 3 times now I loved them so much! I’m really touched at how much thought you put into this silly idea (who would direct and the soundtrack) and your knowledge of football trivia 🥰 You’re totally right that TSwift would be a valuable piece to the movie considering she’s popular and Aaron is a massive Swiftie, although idk much of her music. Also you’re right that no Rodgers movie would be complete without the gunslinging icon Jordy Nelson who caught 1/5 of AR’s touchdown balls. And then at the end Matt LaFleur comes to the Dodgers’ rescue; such a nice man and v handsome (Rodgers is v lucky at the end scene. But despite being apart now we all know he appreciates the handsome :D) And you really get why I chose Martin Kove as the cop chasing them because he’s known for being very intimidating roles but he’s also got a lot of comedic ones under his belt and is really hammy. Seriously watching him and Historic Ham Al “hooah” Pacino would be a treat. (Would also cast Al in a hypothetical Eli Manning movie due to their shared Dunkin Donuts connection.) Really excited about all your additions they were hilarious and insightful 😙

~ A hundred career home runs for Will Smith!

~ Matt Carpenter hit his first home run of the season.

~ Pete Alonso hurt his finger Wednesday, but was able to pinch hit for Brett Baty late in Thursday's game and did a great job, scoring a run. J.D. Martinez also hit a home run in the 8th inning of that same game. I love those guys.

~ José Siri had a two-homer game on Thursday vs. the A's.

~ Shohei Ohtani stole his 100th base!

~ Seiya Suzuki hit a grand slam.

~ So did Christian Walker.
