~~~~~~ቅድስት~~~~~~ የሁለተኛው የአቢይ ጾም እሁድ ቅድስት ይባላል። ”ሰንበትየ ቅድስት” የሚልና ይህን የመሰለ ሰንበትን ቅድስና የሚያዘክር ምስጋና የሚቀርብበት ሳምንት ነው፡፡ በተጨማሪም በዚህ ሳምንት ቅዱስ ኾኖ ቅዱሳን ኹኑ ብሎ ያስተማረው የጌታችን ትምህርት የሚታሰብበት ሳምንትም ነው፡፡ ሌላው ቅድስት የተባለበት ምክንያት ጌታችን ለ40 ቀን ጾም የጀመረበትን ሳምንት ስለሆነም ቅድስት ጾሙን ለማዘከር “ቅድስት” ተብሏል፡፡ (ማቴዎስ 4፣1-11) “የሰንበትን ቀን ትቀድሰው ዘንድ አስብ” ( ዘዳ 20፡8) ይህን ቃል እግዚአብሔር በሊቀነቢያት ሙሴ ላይ አድሮ ተናግሮታል፡፡ “ዕረፍባት” ያለው እግዚአብሔር የፍጥረቱን አቅም ስለሚያውቅ ነው፡፡ ስናከብር ለነፍስ ዕረፍትና ፍስሐን ለስጋ በረከት ሊያሰጡ የሚችሉ ሃይማኖታዊ ተግባራትን በመፈጸም የሚከበር ነው፡፡ በቤተክርስቲያን በመሰባሰብ ቃለ እግዚአብሔርን በመስማት (በመማር) ፣ንሰሐ ገብቶ ቅዱስ ቁርባን በመቀበል፣የተጣላ በማስታረቅ፣ ያዘነ የተከዘ በማረጋጋት በማጽናናት የታሰረን በመጠየቅ ፣በችግር የወደቁትን በመጎብኘት በአጠቃላይ በማቴ 25፡35-36 ላይ የተጠቀሱትን ምግባራት በመፈጸም (“ተርቤ አብልታችሁኛልና፥ ተጠምቼ አጠጥታችሁኛልና፥ እንግዳ ሆኜ ተቀብላችሁኛልና፥ ታርዤ አልብሳችሁኛልና፥ 36፤ ታምሜ ጠይቃችሁኛልና፥ ታስሬ ወደ እኔ መጥታችኋልና። “(የማቴዎስ ወንጌል 25 35-36) ከተከበረ ከእግዚአብሔር ዘንድ የማያልቅ ዘላለማዊ በረከትን ያስገኛል፡፡ ኢሳ 56፡4-8 #EthiopianOrthodoxTewahedo Church followers are on the #GreatLent... it will go on for 7 more weeks during which no animal products will be eaten ... followers 7 years and older don’t eat breakfast... first meal of the day is after 3 pm (& only eaten modest amount). Each Sunday of the Great Lent, including the first Sunday are named heralding the beginning of each week.
