Cool Facts- The Russian desman is found only in river basins throughout northern Asia. Small groups of these moles gather together, often being unrelated, to dig out burrows alongside ponds and slow streams. The desmans strengthen their bonds by grooming each other, helping to insulate themselves against the chilly water. While they are suspected to have a highly complex social ladder, little research has been done on these little guys. Ponds provide plentiful amounts of food with crayfish being a favorite. Despite their thick body and relatively stiff tail, Russian desmans are excellent swimmers and can hold their breaths for several minutes.
Rating- 11/10 (Semi-aquatic non-egg laying mammal of action.)

Dear Sir:
I have earned my own living since I was eighteen, can read and write good English and take an interest in the affairs of my country; I pay taxes and can only vote at school meetings and for County Superintendent of Schools, while many men who do none of these things, may vote indiscriminately. I want equal suffrage for women and would appreciate the aid of our Minnesota delegation in Congress to this end.
