Here you go! Also I might not post for the next couple of weeks because I’ll be going on vacation! Thank you so much for reading my Conrad x reader one shot!

Jeremiah had no idea what happened, how it happened. How he had started to look at you in a new light, like you were the prettiest girl in the world. He didn’t even know why he started to like you. But he realized he was more aware of how you smiled, or when you’d touch him. He was more aware of all of you.
He knew you had a crush on him, everyone knew you had a crush on him. In fact his mom encouraged him to ask you out on a date but he refused. At the time he didn’t like you like that and he didn’t want to hurt you. He knew you had liked him forever, since you met him back in 3rd grade. But he refused to make any move on you because he didn’t want to lead you on.
But Jeremiah realized he should have. Because there you were, in the pool kissing a guy. Kissing a guy that wasn’t Jeremiah. Jeremiah was watching you and that guy, Ryan or Will. He never remembered and he never cared to remember. He felt an uncomfortable feeling when he looked at the two of you. He was so insanely jealous. But he refused to tell you how he felt, especially after all the people he had been with in front of you. He didn’t want to take away your happiness.
Jeremiah couldn’t look at the two of you being that affectionate in the pool anymore. He had to admit he was watching the two of you for about 10 minutes and those 10 minutes were the most horrible minutes of his life. He wanted to look away but for some reason he was just stuck.
“Oh hey Jere! Do you want to play Mario Kart with me? I’ll definitely beat your ass this time.” Steven said, walking into the kitchen.
Jeremiah cleared his head of his thoughts and ran a hand through his hair. He turned to look at Steven who was staring at him, probably waiting for an answer.
“Maybe later tonight, I think I’m gonna take a nap. I have a major hangover from last nights party.” Jeremiah responded, making up an excuse.
He didn’t even drink last night, in fact he barely even partied because he was too focused on you flirting with that guy. He hated feeling like this. He hated seeing you with a guy.
“Oh no worries man. It’s for the best anyways, I didn’t want to embarrass you.” Steven snickered.
Jeremiah smiled at him mockingly. Before swatting him in the head, causing Steven to mumble a ‘ouch’. Jeremiah laughed at Steven rubbing his head mumbling curses at him. He decided to walk up to his room and lay down for a little bit.

You were currently in the pool with a guy named Will. You had met will at the country club and you guys got along almost immediately. You had met will a few weeks ago and since then the two of you had been hanging out almost every day. You both had liked each other romantically and had been slowly getting familiar with each other. But Will hadn’t asked you to be his girlfriend yet. You were a little confused but you didn’t make it a big deal and you were kind of relieved because you weren’t sure you wanted to be in a relationship.
“Y/n are you listening?” Wills voice brought you back to you surroundings.
“Sorry, I zoned out for a minute.” You laughed blushing a little from embarrassment.
Will laughed too and moved closer to you, if that was even possible. He was already so close that your noses were touching. His hand moved to touch your lips and you heard him take a breath in. You noticed him staring at your lips and you couldn’t help but stare at his too. He was a good kisser and he was always so gentle and polite with you. Will moved his head so his lips were just an inch away from yours. This time you were the one who took a breath in.
He was about to kiss you but paused. “Can I kiss you right now?” He asked, his voice barley above a whisper.
You melted, he was so sweet and so kind. You nodded and moved to connect his lips with yours. It was sweet and simple but it was nice. You didn’t have much kissing experience, in fact your first kiss was from Jeremiah who wanted to do the chapstick challenge with you. You only kissed him once because you chickened out after the first kiss.
Will picked you up causing you to wrap your legs around his waist. He had one hand on you waist and the other was on your face. You moved your hands to his neck and tried kissing him deeper, which made Will moan into your mouth. You smiled at that and moved to have one hand run a hand through his hair.
“Oh my god, you guys are literally making out in the middle of the fucking pool! Get a room!” Belly yelled.
You quickly shoved Will away and turned to look at Belly. Belly was standing in her swimsuit next to Conrad who wouldn’t look you in the eye. Which was understandable considering they both just caught you making out with Will.
“Sorry Bells.” You mumbled.
Belly smiled at you finding the situation funny and turned to whisper something in Conrad’s ear. You tried to listen but only heard Jeremiah’s name. Conrad must have found what she said funny because he was laughing too. You tilted your head looking at the two of them but they were too busy laughing so you shrugged it off.
“I actually should go now. Are you gonna go to the party at Shayla’s tonight?” Will turned to you.
“Probably not, I have to do a few things tonight.” You answered.
You weren’t a big party person and tonight you definitely did not want to party. You had a book and a nice cup of hot chocolate waiting for you. Will nodded at you and came over to you to give you a kiss on the cheek before he hopped out of the pool. You also got out of the pool and walk over to the chair where your towel sat.
Belly and Conrad must have been waiting for you before going inside because they were talking with each other while you were drying yourself off. After you had finished drying off you put your towel in the laundry bin outside and walked over to Belly and Conrad.
“Are you guys gonna go to the party tonight?” You asked.
The three of you guys started walking into the house.
Belly answered, “Yeah we are, Steven and Jeremiah are coming along too. You should come it’d be fun.”
You guys had made it into the living room where Steven was playing Mario Kart and all sat down to watch him while he played.
“I don’t know, I mean I already told Will I wasn’t going to go.”
Steven turned to look at you, trying to figure out what was going on.
“Who cares! You can surprise him, plus the both of us can get ready together, it’ll be so much fun!” Belly said. You sighed thinking about it
“Okay, maybe I will go.”
Belly jumped out of her seat and moved over to hug you. You let out a laugh and hugged her back. You looked at the other two boys who had also laughed at Belly’s actions.
“Don’t make me regret this Conklin. You know how much I hate parties.” You warned her still hugging her.
“You won’t regret it. You’ll have such a fun time!” Belly murmured in your shoulder.

You were currently getting ready with Belly, you had decided to go to the party because pretty much everyone was going and Belly really wanted you to come along.
Belly was already dressed and was just finishing up her make up, but you had started with make up first, which you were already done with. You were decided on wearing a short red dress that had lace or if you wanted to wear shorts and a white crop top that had flower designs.
“Belly what should I wear?” You asked her pointing to the two outfits. Belly looked at the both of them and then looked back at you.
“Definitely the dress, red looks so good on you!” Belly decided.
You nodded at her and moved to put the dress on. As you were putting the dress on Belly looked at you through the mirror.
“Can i help you, or do you just want to look at this sexy body.” You smirked at her and then let out a laugh.
She smiled and laughed at your joke before looking at you again.
“Can I ask you something?” You nodded at her still changing.
“Do you still have feelings for Jere? I mean now that you’re dating Will.”
“We aren’t dating, he hasn’t even asked me out yet. And I don’t know what to feel about Jere, I mean I’ve liked him forever but I know those feelings will never be reciprocated so I just don’t think it’s worth it.” You mumbled.
“Don’t say that, Jere has a way of surprising people you know.”
You looked at her confused as to why she would say that and right as you were about to say something there was a knock on the door.
“Girls hurry up! Jere already left 30 minutes ago and Conrad’s getting impatient.” Steven yelled through the door.
The two of you looked at each other and giggled. “Okay, we’ll be down in just a second!” The both of you yelled.
You both hurriedly finished putting on your make up and outfits before walking out the door.

Jeremiah was at the party getting drunk. He was taking shot after shot. He realized that it probably wasn’t the best thing to but he continued to do it anyways. He wanted one night without you in his head.
He had left earlier than the rest of the group because it gave him a head start and he also wouldn’t be in the same car as you.
He was starting to feel the affect of the alcohol, stumbling around and slurring his speech. Jeremiah was currently playing cup pong with a few people he didn’t know. He had his arm lazily around a girl who he assumed liked him and his other arm was attempting to throw the ping pong ball in the cup.
Jeremiah turned his head and saw you and the others walking over to where he was. And to him you were the prettiest girl he’d ever seen. His eyes traveled up your body and you were wearing the sexiest red dress he had ever seen. It had hugged your body in all the perfect places and it stood a little above your thighs, it was perfect. You were perfect. You noticed him looking at you and you gave him a smile and you were to wave but then saw the girl he was with and turned away.
“S’kcute.” Jeremiah mumbled into the girls ear.
He had attempted to say ‘so cute’ but it came out all jumbled. The girl blushed and smiled at Jeremiah, assuming it was said about her but really, it was about you.
“Should we get out of here?” She responded, a small blue on her cheek.
Jeremiah had thought about it for a second. He wanted to say no but he hadn’t been with anyone in weeks and this was the perfect opportunity for him. Too drunk to say anything Jeremiah just nodded his head. The girl took his hand and lead him away from where they were playing cup pong.

You had walked into the party and immediately tried to find Will. After looking around for about 2 minutes you couldn’t find him, but you did find Jeremiah. You saw him and gave him a smile and that’s when you noticed the girl that he was with. He looked so comfortable around her and she was gorgeous. You decided to look away from the two and focus on the party around you. But from the glimpse of your eye you had noticed that Jeremiah was walking with the girl up the stairs.
You turned to Belly and Conrad. Steven had already left to go find Shayla.
“I’m gonna go find Will!” You yelled because the music was a bit too loud.
The two of them nodded and you started to walk away. You decided to check upstairs first because it was quieter up there. You made your way up the stairs and noticed that there were only a few rooms. You checked the first room but it was just a bathroom. Then you checked the other room and noticed it was a bedroom. It was dark in the bedroom and hard for you two see but you could make out 2 silhouettes on the bed, and to you it looked like they were kissing.
You had become flustered after realizing what was going on and stood there in shock for a second. Right as you were about to leave the two people turned.
“Yo dude there’s this thing called knocking!” The guy yelled.
You perked up at the sound of his voice. His voice was familiar to you but you couldn’t quite place where you knew him from. And then it dawned on you. That was Will, no wonder his voice sounded so familiar. Your heart beat a little quicker and your palms became a little sweatier.
“Will?” Your voice quivered. You prayed to god that it wasn’t him. He was so sweet, so nice, there’s no way he’d do that to you.
“Y/n?” The voice responded.
Your heart dropped.
You couldn’t breathe. Everything hurt. You weren’t even dating but he had been one of the first guys to like you, to actually like you. You felt tears forming in your eyes and couldn’t help but let out a small sob.
Realizing you were still in the bedroom with Will and the girl, you ran out.
“Y/n! Please, please wait!” Will yelled as you were running away.
He grabbed you before you were able to get too far.
“Y/n please.”
You pulled away from him, slapping him on the cheek.
“Don’t, I hate you and I cannot talk to you right now.” You yelled anger in your voice.
You walked away as Will stood there not following you.
You were sobbing now, aware of the people staring as you shoved pass them. But you were too hurt to care. You wanted to find Jeremiah. Jeremiah was the one who’d cheer you up all the time.
You were still crying but it wasn’t as intense as before and you were still looking for Jeremiah. You made your way outside, people still looking your way. You ignored the whispers and the looks and walk over to the sitting area outside. You had searched for Jeremiah in the sea of people, before realizing he was right in front of you. Three feet away from you.
And somehow, some fucking how. Your night had become ten times worse. There he was, kissing a girl, his hand on her thigh, hers in his hair. The tears came back, stronger than before. How did this hurt more than Will kissing that girl?
You knew the answer, but you refused to admit it. You hadn’t realized but you were sobbing, loudly. Jeremiah broke the kiss with the girl. His head moving to the side where you stood crying. You noticed his eyes widened and he stood up ignoring the girl completely.
Now everyone was watching you. How could they not? You were crying in front of everyone but all you could focus on was Jeremiah. The Jeremiah who you had always had feelings for. You knew it wasn’t out of character for him to kiss someone. In fact it was so normal for him to go off with people all the time. But for some reason, it stung so much more in this moment.
“Y/n, what’s wrong?” Jeremiah softly spoke. Stepping closer to you. He was completely sober now.
You stepped back. Him asking you that made you cry hard. But you didn’t want to be near him, to look at him, or for him to see you cry. You were embarrassed but the tears wouldn’t stop. You closed your eyes in frustration, trying to find your voice.
“N-nothing is wrong.” Your voice cracked, of course it did.
Jeremiah’s eyebrows furrowed, eyes full of concern for the girl crying in front of him. “Don’t lie to me.”
You scoffed, you were more angry than upset now. The weight of the things that have happened in the span of 10 minutes all coming down on you.
“I’m not lying, I’m just gonna go home. Sorry for interrupting your fuck session.” You spat.
You turned around walking off. People whispering about your little outburst. You didn’t look at them, you were too ashamed, too embarrassed. You made your way out to the front yard, realizing that you had to find Belly, Conrad, and Steven. Because they were your ride home.
You yelled in frustration, throwing a rock into the green lawn in front of you. How had everything gone to shit in one night? You swore the world was against you.
“Y/n?” You heard a voice behind you. And you immediately knew whose voice it was. You didn’t turn around. You didn’t want to turn around.
“What do you want Jeremiah?” You whispered, voice shaky.
“Are you okay?” You heard his foot steps move closer from behind you.
You wrapped your arms around yourself. “I already told you I’m fine.”
Jeremiah scoffed. “No you’re not, and I already told you not to lie to me.”
You turned eyes narrowing at him. “Well maybe I just don’t want to talk to you right now!”
His eyes widened in shock and you immediately felt bad.
“Seriously, what’s up with you? Why are you acting like this? You’re acting like a-” Jeremiah snapped his mouth shut before finishing his sentence. Eyes widened again.
Your stomach twisted. You knew what he was about to say. You knew that were acting like one, but you never thought he’d say that to you. You glared at him.
“Like a what Jeremiah? Why don’t you just finish that sentence?“ you spoke bitterly, your voice still shaky. “We both knew what you were about to say! If that’s what you think about me, say it!”
“Stop yelling at me!” His eyes softened, “I-I didn’t mean it.”
He stepped closer, causing you to step back. You were so upset at him. You were so upset at everything. You were hurting so bad right now, but you didn’t know how to not turn it into anger.
“Sure you didn’t.”
“Y/n talk to me.” He whispered.
You had contemplated and were about to say something, but you looked at the front door and saw Jeremiah’s fuck buddy leaning against the door. She was looking at you and when she had noticed you looking at her she walked down, next to Jeremiah.
“Jere, let’s continue what we started, she obviously wants to be left alone.”
Her arms wrapped around his neck, her whole front side pressed against his backside. You glared at them and felt your stomach twist again. You focused on Jeremiah, and he hadn’t even pushed her away.
“Yes Jeremiah, why don’t you go fuck her right now? I’m fine alone.” Jealousy built up in you.
You looked him in the eye and your heart broke. He was upset. You wanted to apologize, but your pride was too strong. Jeremiah pushed the girl off of him and walked away from the two of you.
“Hey! What the hell was that for!” The girl yelled at him throwing her arms in the air.
You were frozen, you had been horrible to Jeremiah. You were so angry at Will and Jeremiah and you had taken it out on him. You didn’t even have the right to be angry over Jeremiah. He had never liked you, your feelings were never reciprocated.
You felt the tears come back again. You were sure Jeremiah could never forgive you. You fell to the ground, torn and upset.
Belly and Conrad came outside. Belly had immediately sat down with you and hugged you, allowing you to cry in her shoulder while she whispered things to you. Conrad had gone back inside to get the keys from Steven. Tonight was a horrible night. The conclusion that you came to was that you were a terrible person. You never acted this way. Especially not towards Jeremiah, you never even had a serious fight with him.
Conrad eventually came out of the house with the keys. He had to pick you up and take you to the car because you were that sad.
❀ ❀ ❀ ❀ ❀ ❀ ❀ ❀ ❀ ❀ ❀ ❀ ❀ ❀ ❀
Light streamed through your open window. Your eyes had opened up and you had immediately closed them. Your head was pounding and your eyes were probably red and swollen. You turned to your side and checked the time to see that it was 12:00 pm. You closed your eyes and sighed. You didn’t want to leave your room. You were sure everyone would be incredibly concerned for you and you didn’t want to face them, face him.
You heard a knock on the door and a second later it opened. You glanced at who it was and it was Laurel. She had a glass of water and a pill in hand. She had given you a soft smile and walked into your room, sitting on your bed.
“Hey sweetie, take this.” She handed you the pill and water.
You sat up and quickly swallowed the pill and had some water. Laurels hand came over your face to move a strand of hair out of your face.
“How are you doing? I heard you had a rough night.”
You didn’t answer her verbally, and instead gave her a shrug looking away from her. In your peripheral vision you saw her frown. You were so scared for the consequences of your actions. You had fucked up.
“Jeremiah told us what happened, do you want to talk about it?” She murmured.
You wanted to cry but tears wouldn’t come out. You were sure it was because you used up all the tears you had last night and the fact you were probably dehydrated. Laurel gave you a hug and a tight squeeze with it.
“I messed up, Jere is never going to forgive me.” You whispered.
Laurel pulled away from your hug and frowned, rubbing your shoulders. “No sweetie, you were hurt, we all make mistakes. Belly told us what caused you to act that way. They’re all worried for you. Even Jeremiah.”
“I was so mean to him, I-I treated him like shit. I was jealous and angry and- and I was so so hurt.” Your voice cracked and Laurel gave you another hug.
“He’s going to forgive you. You’re y/n and he’s Jeremiah. He has a soft spot for you.”
You shook your head, even though tears weren’t coming out your body wracked with sobs. You hated this feeling. Hated how you treated your best friend like shit.
Laurel pet your hair in a soothing manner. Humming to you until you calmed down. You were so thankful for her.
“How about you come down for lunch hm?” Laurel spoke grabbing both of your shoulders.
“I’d rather stay up here and mope.”
Laurel let out a small laugh and you along with her. She understood and didn’t push you or anything. She gave you a kiss on the head before standing up and walking to the door. She opened the door but didn’t walk out of it.
“It’s going to be okay y/n, I’ll save you some extra food in case you decide to come down.” Laurel smiled softly before walking out.
You had felt better, but you wanted to delay talking to Jeremiah for as long as possible. You knew you’d talk to him sometime today but you didn’t want to right at this moment. You needed time for yourself, to think and regret your actions.
You laid in bed, staring at your ceiling for about fifteen minutes before another knock came from your door. You sat up ninety percent sure that it was Belly or Conrad. You pat your hair down and made sure you looked halfway decent.
“Come in!” You yelled.
The door opened slowly and you saw who it was. You sat up a little straighter and became nervous almost instantly.
Jeremiah walked in, looking down at the floor. He closed the door behind him, took a deep breathe, and made the decision to look at you. You noticed he had eye bags and a little cut and bruise on his face. He looked nervous, almost as nervous as you.
“Hi.” He said, still staring at you.
“Hi.” You responded giving him a small smile.
He didn’t smile back but he seemed a little relieved. He made his way to the chair next to your bed. You didn’t know what to say and from the look on his face neither did he.
“Jere, I-I’m so so sorry. The way I acted towards you last night was not okay in the slightest.” You breathed out.
Jeremiah stared at you for a minute, probably processing your words.
“Y/n I forgive you, but why? Why did you act so hostile towards me, what did I do?” Jeremiah whispered, he sounded upset.
“It’s nothing you did, it was Will and then when I saw you with that girl, I don’t know I guess I was just jealous or something and took it all out on you.” You rambled.
Your eyes widened when you realized what you said. You had noticed that Jeremiah’s head perked up.
“Jealous, why would you be jealous?” He questioned leaning forward a bit.
“You know why.” You mumbled avoiding eye contact.
“Y/n, do you,” he paused. “do you still like me?”
You looked at him again, flustered and embarrassed. Jeremiah tilted his head to the side waiting for your answer.
“That’s not the point of this conversation. I’m really sorry Jeremiah. I should have taken my feelings towards Will out on you, it was childish and stupid.” You changed the subject.
Jeremiah stared at you frowning. You didn’t want to look at him. His gaze was so intense and you had no intention of confessing your feelings out loud to him.
“What if I told you, that I was jealous too.”
Your heart dropped and your stomach had butterflies. You turned to look at him, wanting to make sure he was real, this conversation was real.
“Whenever you were with Will, I was so jealous and I hated seeing you with him. I was only with that girl to stop thinking about you. So please, please say it for me.” Jeremiah had gotten up and was standing a foot away from you.
Your heart was beating so quickly. Jeremiah has feelings for you. The Jeremiah who you’ve been pinning for, for years. Jeremiah now sat on your bed. He was waiting for your response.
“You make me crazy Jeremiah. Everything you do and everything about you makes me crazy. When it comes to you logic goes out the window. And it’s because I love you, I’ve loved you since the moment I met you.” You told him, playing with your hands.
Jeremiah’s eyes lit up and gave you a big smile. You let out a small laugh because he was so cute. Jeremiah moved closer to you so now he was sitting next to you on the bed. You turned to look at him both of you smiling big. His hand moved to cup your cheek rubbing it with his thumb.
“I love you.”
You started to tear up, overwhelmed by the fact that your feelings were reciprocated. Jeremiah loved you, you y/n l/n. Jeremiah leaned his head against yours. He looked at your lips and back at your eyes, almost asking for approval to kiss you. You nodded and he didn’t have a chance to react because you had already moved to kiss him. And it was everything you had wanted and more. It was soft and it was sweet.
Jeremiah pulled away and moved to kiss your cheeks.“I love you, I love you, I love you.” was all he was saying to you as he kissed your head, your nose, and your mouth.
You pulled away from him and the both of you laid down. You leaned your head on his chest and he had wrapped his arm around your waist. You craned your neck to look at him.
“How did you get that cut and bruise?” You asked pointing to it.
He blushed and looked a way from you.
“I beat up will.”
You gasped. “You’re lying!”
He shook his head no. You flung your arms around him.
“Thank you for that. Even though I don’t promote violence, I appreciate it.” You mumbled into his neck.
He wrapped his arms around you and kissed you on the head.
“I’ll do anything for you.”
You smiled in his neck and hummed in delight.
“We should go down so you can eat. You haven’t eaten since before the party.” He stated.
“I want to stay like this for a few minutes.” You muttered.
He laughed but didn’t make a move to get up. You were happy with the way things turned out. You were happy that Jeremiah was finally yours and you his.

What was the last thing you had to eat and drink? I had snow cheese chicken and water like two minutes before I started this.
Do you take any prescription medications? No, I don’t.
Do you enjoy lore? As in mythology? Not really, it’s one of my least favorite topics.
Are you afraid of what's in the ocean? No, quite the opposite. I’m fascinated by the topic and get excited when I get to hear about new discoveries and such, considering how much of our oceans are still unexplored.
Do you think there are people who are capable of doing magic? I mean only in the sense that there are magicians and they are masters at illusions, yeah. But I don’t believe that anyone can do the extraordinary things that magic portrays.
Do you ever like to take a drive late at night? I LOVE driving at night, especially much late at night i.e. when it’s like midnight or later. It’s one of the handful of moments where I feel the freest and I always try my best to drive a bit slow so I can buy more time being out.
When was the last time you visited a museum, if ever? Last December. I’m definitely due for another visit soon.
Would you ever own a horse, or have you? I don’t, and I don’t think I’d want one. I can’t even ride horses.
What is your favorite memory related to rain? I don’t think I have a memory that beats all the others, but one that stands out is when it started to drizzle after my Paramore concert. I was high on adrenaline and post-concert bliss and the rain was able to add another layer to that. It really didn’t matter that I was soaking wet then and I enjoyed the spontaneity of it all.
Does small talk bother you? It only does when it’s easy to deduce that the person I’m talking to and I have absolutely nothing in common whatsoever. It makes it a bigger challenge to keep up the small talk and forces me to raise super mundane topics, like the latest news in politics lol.
Do you ever experience sensory overload? Not really.
Do you have a hard time admitting you're wrong? Sometimes, but I was a lot worse just years ago. It’s something I’m actively working on.
What do you think you'll be doing 5 years from now? What do you want to do? I’ll be 29...and I certainly hope I’m out of my current job/workplace by then. I hope I’m happier career-wise, and that I’m earning more, and it’d be cool to have been to another continent too.
Have you ever written a love letter? Yeah.
Do you have a hard time making up your mind? I am very indecisive indeed. I’m well aware it can make me a difficult person to bond or work with, so I’m trying to work on lessening this trait of mine.
What's your favorite charity that you support? Strays Worth Saving, which is pretty self-explanatory by the name.
What color are the shoes you wear the most? White.
Do you consider violet to be purple or blue? Purple.
If anything was an Olympic sport, what could you win gold for? Rhythm Hive, probably. I’m still obsessed with the game after 10 months straight of playing it.
Have you ever experienced bad karma? Not that I believe in karma religiously/spiritually, but I have experienced the universe biting me back in the ass five seconds after I did something crappy.
Would you rather have whiskers or claws like a cat? Maybe whiskers. I feel like claws would have a bigger effect on my day-to-day activities and would require more adjustment.
What's something you have a strong opinion on? That you don’t have to be blood to be family; and just as well, people are free to disown and not owe any support/help to their biological relatives especially if they have been shitty individuals.
Do you prefer driving, riding shotgun, or being in the backseat while on the road? Driving. I’ve driven on my own for so long that for some reason I feel guilty whenever I’m a passenger hahaha. Like I feel like a freeloader so I always try to offer being the driver as much as I can.
If you ever played Mario Kart, what character did you always choose to play as? Bowser Jr. or Peach.
Do you believe that big foot is real? Nope.
Do you like to learn about different cultures? Yes.
Do you stay awake til 3am often? Nah, not anymore these days. I had a phase like that during June to August of last year, but then work got a little busier from there and I wanted to dedicate more hours to sleep so I had to kill off the habit.
Do you know anyone or have you ever been bitten by a wild animal? I don’t think so. We’ve had dog bites in the family but nothing more than that.
What's the closest object to you that is blue? The packaging of the chips that my sister just ate.
When did you last feel full of life? This morning/afternoon watching the BTS concert and seeing the album announcement in the end :D :D
What do you normally daydream about? I usually just fantasize about my celebrity crush hahaha lol.
Have you ever seen a tornado? Nope. I hope I’ll never have to, that shit looks and sounds terrifying.
What was the last thing you apologized for? I’m pretty sure I said sorry to my sister earlier today but I can no longer remember what it had been for.
Do you ever do anything specific for the full moon? No.
Do you know anyone or do you practice witchcraft? I don’t.
When was the last time you were sick? I felt a slight fever last January when I suspected that I caught the covids, but it went away like the day after.

lazy days - maki zenin x reader
Tumblr media
request: “Could you maybe do a maki x reader fluff? Like maybe just a lazy day playing video games or something like that.” - @mvddison99
summary: after you shut off her alarm clock so she can get some rest, maki reluctantly agrees to a lazy day with you, and ends up enjoying it much more than expected. (genre: domestic-ish fluff, slice of life)
warnings: some swearing but it’s mostly just pure fluff!
word count: 2.7k
a/n: i did NOT plan to make it this long lol i’m just a sucker for writing maki! i didn’t really explicitly state what the reader and maki’s relationship is so it can be read as an established relationship or not depending on what you like! i had a ton of fun writing this so hopefully y’all like it! :)
maki zenin doesn’t do ‘lazy days’. not willingly, at least.
when you’d told inumaki of your plan to shut off her alarm clock to get her to sleep in and take a day off, he couldn’t help thinking you must have some kind of death wish to do that. you’d argue that you were staging an intervention in the name of self care. he knew the reason you’d gone to him with your idea was because he couldn’t talk any sense into you.
he also knew that you actually just wanted maki to take a day off so you’d have an excuse to hang out with her in your pajamas all day.
despite the countless times gojo would use a day off as an incentive during your missions, when you finished you’d always be greeted by the same sheepish smile and excuse as to why your day off would be pushed back. for a grown man, he sure was childish when it came to planning stuff. in contrast to the groans of disappointment that came in response from you, inumaki and panda, maki never seemed phased by the extra days you’d spend sparring in the blistering sun. while gojo moved his hands wildly as he apologized, she’d simply shrug and swing her weapon of choice over her shoulder with a bored expression on her face. gojo always seemed relieved when she’d interrupt his plea for forgiveness to a group of teenagers to ask him when the next mission was.
over the past two weeks or so, you’d begun to notice the semblance of exhaustion around maki, one you weren’t even sure she was aware of. her glasses emphasized the purple tinted bags lining her eyes, and her nose was dusted with a sunburn that was oddly reminiscent of that momo girl from kyoto. they were subtle changes in the way she carried herself as well, in the way her shoulders slumped ever so slightly when she rested the wooden ends of her weapons on them. it was such a slight difference that it seemed only you could know so quickly.
so it’s not hard to imagine the joy that flashed across your face when you realized your plan in unplugging her school issued alarm clock had been successful. before then, you’d only woken up before maki once, due to an early morning mission with inumaki. that day, when surprise flashed across your face at the sight of maki awake at just 6 a.m on a saturday, now seemed a contrast to your current state. the clock read 10 a.m as you were interrupted from mulling over your breakfast with inumaki and paves with the sound of steps shuffling against the floor, followed not soon after by maki, clad in baggy plaid pants and a loose fitting tee shirt. you watched as she stretched her arms above her head, making her shirt ride up slightly from the waistband of her pants. a part of you felt as if you’d gotten lucky to see her in that moment, with her green hair cascading past her shoulders, and her yet to be brushed bangs messy as they slightly masqueraded her eyes like a sheepdog overdue for a trim. as she rubbed her eyes into focus, her gaze landed on you, clearly trying to stifle a smile for whatever reason.
“what’re you so happy about?” her voice was raspy as she straightened her posture.
oh, you were definitely lucky to see her like this.
“sleep well?” you raised an eyebrow with a teasing tone. she could practically hear the smug grin threatening to stretch across your face. had it not already been obvious who the culprit was, that would’ve been a dead giveaway of the way her stolen batteries from her alarm clock were collecting dust on your bedside table. she sent a lazy glare your way, but there was clearly no malice behind it.
“if i say i did, will you leave me alone?” her tone was almost playful as she stepped towards you, bending her knees to be at eye level with you while you sat. she probably didn’t notice that she wasn’t nearly as intimidating with her old pajamas and messy hair.
“no can do. you no longer held shame in the catlike grin on your face. “gojo is finally letting us have that day off he always promises, and i’m not letting you use some excuse about being ‘too busy with training.’” those last few words were spoken with a monotone infliction in a weak attempt to poke fun at her almost robotic training schedule.
a roll of her eyes, but she made no point to move from her position. when she crouched down to your sitting form, her eyes remained focused on you despite the sleepiness still swimming in them. your noses were mere inches apart.
“and if i do?”
“i already told gojo to lock up the weapons, plus everyone else is occupied with relaxation.” you feigned sheepishness.
“oh noooo, i’m sure it’d be impossible to make it past his advanced security system.” her voice oozed of sarcasm and her head tilted slightly, a smirk daring to sneak past her lips.
the staring match you were unaware you’d been putting so much effort into was interrupted by a groan from inumaki. he made a face of disgust in your direction as you both turned to face him. if he could, you were sure he’d mutter something annoyedly about you two needing to get a room. your face contorted to send some sort of distorted glare his way as he got up to leave the room.
maki cleared her throat awkwardly, now acutely aware of the distance (or lack thereof) between your faces, courtesy of inumaki.
“by the way, if you don’t take a break, gojo says he’ll just make you take one during our next mission!” the grin on your face stretched almost cartoonishly at the dejected look in response to your declaration.
she was standing now. “i’ll do it, but only because you’ve already set my day back by a few hours, and so i don’t miss anything important later.” though you didn’t miss the corners of her mouth turning up as she averted her gaze.
to her surprise, you let out a soft sigh of relief in response. “thank god, my last resort would have been to make you go to training with the kyoto students instead.” she cringed wordlessly in response as she pulled a cup of yogurt from the fridge.
“what do you want to do so bad that’s got you so pushy anyways?” she sat with her legs spread apart as she ate her breakfast.
a mischievous gleam danced across your face. “well i was cleaning out my dorm the other day, and i may or may not have found my copy of mario kart.” your voice was triumphant, as if you’d just found the cure to a disease.
she looked thoroughly unimpressed in contrast to you holding down heaps of excitement. “never played it.”
your gasp of shock felt as if it could have woken up the whole school.
“maki…” your voice sounded accusatory, like a parent saying that they’re not mad, ‘just disappointed.’
“well it’s not like the zenin clan is exactly known for their expertise on video games, are they now?” she spoke matter-of-factly.
“and they’re clearly not known for having fun either, now you’d better eat up so i can beat your ass.” your competitive tone seemed to awaken a rivalry within maki, whose eyes suddenly became sharper with determination. you stifled a chuckle at the drive that came from your simple teasing.
“i wouldn’t get so confident just yet, no offense but i don’t think you’d be that hard to beat.” she teased, matching the mischievousness in your eyes, as she finished her cup of yogurt.
“oh it’s on maki!”
as you bounced down the hall to your dorm with maki in tow following breakfast, you took note of panda walking by, who seemed to do a double take of maki. she met his gaze, once again trying to look threatening despite her cozy attire. panda seemed unaffected by her glare, simply sending you a sneaky thumbs up, not going unnoticed by her.
“did everyone know about your little plan?”
“not everyone, per say. if i told megumi he’d have been a total buzzkill and told you.”
“oh how tragic that would have been.” without looking over your shoulder, you could tell she was rolling her eyes, but she did a bad job at concealing the smile that was evident in her voice.
“i know, where would you be without me?” you wiped fake tears from your eyes dramatically as you swung open the door to your dorm.
“not playing mario kart, that’s for sure.” she shrugged, feigning exasperation as she slumped on your bed. it was oddly domestic, this side of maki. it was the side of her with her hair undone, with her usual stiff uniform swapped for baggy pajamas, with her back flat against your rock solid dorm bed as she stared at the ceiling, eyes glazed over. it crossed your mind that you’d like to see her like this more.
but in case you didn’t get that chance, you were determined to make this moment last.
after a few moments of annoyance at how slow your wii loaded, and annoyance from maki at your complaining about it, considering that thing was clearly on its last legs, you were met with the flashing of the mario kart title screen. maki sat up to be met with your face brightening into a smile, making it hard for her to stop the matching one on her face. she found it hard not to get excited from the enthusiasm you had about this game, it gave her a sense of comfort that made her feel like she’d never have to worry about battling a curse again.
you handed her a controller, your fingertips brushing against her hand as you did so. her eyes flickered to yours with an impish delight to them.
“you’re going down.”
“oh?” you raised an eyebrow as you turned to click through character selections, shamelessly feeding into her competitive streak. after scrolling through the characters just long enough to annoy maki, you decided you’d play yoshi. she let out an over exaggerated sigh of relief when you’d finally decided, before turning her attention to do the exact same thing.
“rosalina, huh?”
maki glanced at you, before averting her eyes back to the screen. “what can i say? she’s hot.”
you put a hand to your heart dramatically. “oh maki, how you wound me. sorry i can't be her.” your little act was eerily similar to how the first years would act whenever there was even the possibility of megumi interacting with a girl.
“you’ve been spending too much time around gojo.” she scoffed at your antics while you waited for the crappy old wii to load the selection screen for tracks.
should i choose rainbow road just to fuck with her?
spoiler alert: you absolutely did choose rainbow road just to fuck with her.
you knew she’d never played before, so even if you did win, it’s mostly because you chose the most difficult track. but the competitive side of you didn’t seem to care. before starting the game, you moved so you sat next to maki on the bed, parallel to the tv screen. you guys sat shoulder to shoulder, yet maki still seemed totally relaxed.
“you’re going down.” she smirked, turning to face you, the second time that day her face was just inches from yours.
“i’d like to see you try and beat me, newbie.” you tilted your head towards her, a smug look painting your face as you leaned over to place your hands over hers, instructing her of the basics as you guided them over the buttons and joysticks of the controller. after all, it would be just cruel to make her go in completely clueless.
“thanks.” her eyes remained focused on her hands a few seconds after you’d removed yours from atop them, before her gaze travelled to meet yours. there was an uncharacteristically soft look on her face for just a moment, before she looked back to the screen. “but you’re gonna regret this when you eat my dust.”
“whatever you say, maki.” you muttered as the screen began to flash a countdown.
3…
2…
1…
START!!!
forget all that soft shit, you were gonna beat her ass.
your dorm room was filled with the sounds of the wii controller buttons being mashed, along with the background music of the game.
“SHIT!” you didn’t have to glance at her screen to know she’d swerved off the road and fallen, so you just smiled triumphantly in response.
when she was on the road again, you could feel her lean against your shoulder slightly as she turned. in your peripheral, you noticed how a few strands of green hair brushed against your shoulder as if it were yours. maki, on the other hand, seemed completely focused on winning the game, making her ignorant to how she practically leaned into you.
you were confident enough to know that you pretty much had this game in the bag as you kept your lead peacefully for quite a bit, that was until a certain smug looking girl next to you managed to score a blue shell.
“DAMN IT.” you watched as yoshi spun helplessly after being hit. “look at how sad he looks, you monster.” you glared ludicrously at her, to which she just snickered, but your feigned anger was quickly interrupted by the sound of the music speeding up.
FINAL LAP.
“already?” you were exasperated to see how close maki had gotten to you. looking to her, she remained with a determined look on her face, funnily enough, it was similar to the one she’d have while sparring.
you didn’t want to have to play dirty but…
ah, who were you kidding, you totally wanted to play dirty!
“hey, maki.” your voice was husky from strain of your cries of distress when you fell behind. you leaned into maki the same way she had earlier, with your leg practically on top of hers, and your head leaning oh so casually on her shoulder. she seemed to stiffen for a moment.
“what the hell do you think you’re doing?”
jackpot.
swerving with your controller, you’d managed to knock her rosalina straight off the track, giving you a clear path to the finish line. you knew that making her all flustered just to get ahead had to be some kind of cheating, but you couldn’t deny it was so worth it to see the way her face flushed from a mix of embarrassment and anger at losing.
when you reached the finish line, it was hard to contain the laughter that came bubbling up out of you. before you could help it, the repressed giggles turned into a full on belly laugh as you leaned onto her shoulder for support.
“you should’ve seen your face maki!” you managed to get out between laughs. she simply pushed you off of her, though it was clearly as soft as possible. she held onto your shoulder so you were forced to be at eye level with her.
she opened her mouth to say something, but before she could, you lifted your head to make eye contact, your mouth in a tight line as you tried to hold back more laughs.
“you’re pretty good for a newbie though, you know.” you leaned into her touch, too focused on her to tease her over the animation of yoshi with his gold trophy playing on the screen.
“yeah and you’re pretty good for a cheater.” she scoffed, but it only elicited more laughter from you, gripping on the hands she had on your shoulder for support.
she wanted to keep up her front of mock seriousness, but the way you melted into her in this moment left her no room for her mock anger.
it was rare that you saw maki zenin laugh, but in this moment, it just felt so natural to you. it seemed to rise up out of her, like a soda can being shaken up before opening, it came out unrestrained as her shoulders shook ever so slightly.
you’d have to make a note to get maki to laugh more often.
“so…” you finally composed yourself, leaning your head on her shoulder, she looked at you without an ounce of the surprise she held earlier, as if you guys did this all the time. “do you wanna play again?”
she grinned wolfishly. “hell yeah.”

Rock Band
Pairing: Wanda Maximoff x fem!reader
Warnings: None, just fluff :)
Word Count: 3.2k
A/N: Not too sure how I feel about this one, but it’s Wanda so hopefully you guys enjoy it (also I miss playing Rock Band)!!
“You ready for game night, Bird Boy?” Bucky winked.
“You bet, old man. I’m going to crush you, just you wait.” Sam smiled at Bucky with a glint in his eye and mischief clear in his voice. “You guys coming?” Sam turned to look at you and your girlfriend. “The theme is Wii games. Even Thor is coming.” You looked at Wanda for confirmation before answering.
“Yeah, sounds fun. Don’t know if we have the same need for total domination as you losers, though.” Tony laughed from his position in the chair next to you.
“Just you wait, kiddo. You’ll get into it. They all do.”
“Even if I do, I doubt it’ll be that hard to take a bunch of grandpas down,” you winked at the men before scooping some salad into your mouth.
“Since when am I a grandpa?” Sam scoffed.
“Since you became old, which, according to my calculations, has been… oh, right, always. Grandpa in spirit.”
“Well this grandpa is going to beat your ass, so just prepare yourself,” Sam challenged.
“I personally would like to go back to the ‘losers’ thing,” Steve countered. “The only loser is going to be you. Do you even know what games we’re going to be playing, Y/N?”
“Nah, but I figure whatever it is I’ll win,” you smirked.
“Oh, someone’s feeling cocky today. I’d be scared if I were you.” You turned your head slightly to your right, noting how Wanda’s lips curled upwards at Steve’s warning. “Nat has yet to be defeated in Mario Kart, and I, for one, am pretty decent at Smash Bros.”
“You’re on,” you winked at him, the table beginning to clear out. “See you tonight.”
When everyone had left the table but you and Wanda, you turned to your girlfriend. “I suck at Mario Kart. And Smash Bros,” you whined, burying your face into the crook of her neck. “What got into me?” Wanda laughed and ran a hand down your arm.
“You’re too competitive for your own good, detka. If it makes you feel better, Nat already knows you’re bad at Mario Kart,” Wanda smiled, reflecting on the many game nights the three of you and Carol had had together over the years.
“That doesn’t make me feel any better. I’m going to be a loser,” you complained, your voice muffled.
“You’ll be fine, babe. You’re good at, um... What's that game called again?”
“Mario Party 8?”
“Yeah, that one!”
“I can’t win game night with one game, Wanda.”
“Well, you’re always a winner in my book,” your girlfriend reassured you as she played with your fingers.
“Cute, Wan,” you huffed. “Maybe there is a way I could be a winner…” you smiled. When Wanda began to shake her head furiously, you began to beg. “Please, baby, you don’t have to do a lot. Just distract them a little? Please? Pretty please?”
“As much as I love you, Y/N, there is no way I’m messing with their minds just so you can win a game night.”
“I guess you have a point,” you sighed, making sure the fake sadness was clear in your voice. Wanda only laughed, brushing your cheek with the back of her hand.
“I’ll make it up to you. I promise. Besides, if you win, I can’t kiss away your pout.”
“But if I win, you can kiss me as a little ‘good job,’ you know?”
“You’re cute when you pout, though.”
“Am I not cute when I’m smiling from the pure joy of winning?”
“Weren’t you just saying you didn’t want ‘total domination’ less than five minutes ago?”
“Don’t change the subject,” you grumbled. Wanda chuckled, pressing her lips to your forehead.
“Sorry, printsessa. You’d better go practice if you want to try to win tonight.”
“I suppose,” you mumbled, pulling away from the witch. “You’re going to help me, though, right?” Your girlfriend pecked you on the lips, causing a smile to slowly form on your face.
“Of course.”
---
Later that night, you and Wanda were sprawled across your bed watching the first show that played when you turned on the TV. Your head laid in Wanda’s lap as Wanda traced invisible patterns in your hair and along your face.
“Okay, but why is ‘womb’ pronounced ‘woom’?” you spoke up. “Shouldn’t it be ‘wom’? You know, like ‘bomb’? Or what about ‘tomb’? Why is it pronounced like that? Who said that putting a ‘b’ at the end of the word makes the ‘o’ long for some words but not others?” Wanda brought her gaze down from the screen to your face, her brows furrowed and nose scrunched.
“What the heck even made you think of that?”
“I don’t know,” you shrugged, “I’ve just been thinking.”
“Maybe you should be thinking a little less, printsessa,” Wanda giggled, drawing a swirl on your cheek with the tip of her finger.
“That tickles, Wan.” That didn’t stop the witch, who simply pinched your cheek before resuming her tracing. “But I thought you liked my thinking. I have some pretty good thoughts,” you defended yourself, crossing your arms in front of your chest.
“Like ‘what would happen if the French used the Statue of Liberty like the Trojan Horse?’” Wanda raised her eyebrows.
“It was a hypothetical!”
“A pretty bad one, if you ask me.”
“Well sorry, Miss Smartypants.”
“You can be smart too, dorogaya. You just… have your moments,” she winked at you.
“I hate you,” you grumbled, turning away from her so that you were facing the flashing screen, images playing across it but neither of you really sure—or caring—what was going on.
“You love me.”
“Nuh uh.”
“Yeah huh.”
“No.”
“Yes.”
“No, I-”
“Guys, game night is starting,” Tony knocked at your door.
“Okay, we’ll be down in a second,” Wanda told him. You didn’t listen for if he had left, instead turning your gazes back to each other.
“Okay, maybe I do love you a little bit.” Wanda raised her brows, her finger now running along your lower lip.
“Only a little?”
“I might be able to be persuaded otherwise, but as of right now, yes, a little.” Wanda hummed before leaning down to join your lips.
“What about now?” she asked, her lips brushing yours as she spoke.
“I love you a medium bit.” She kissed you again, this time a little longer than the last.
“And now?”
“I love you a lot a bit,” you whispered. Wanda smiled, giving you one last kiss before sitting back up.
“I love you a lot a bit too. Now, let’s get down to the living room. I believe we have a bunch of ‘grandpas’ waiting for us.”
---
“Wanda, Y/N, I missed you. How has life been treating you on Earth?” Thor waved at the two of you. You guys had little time to wave back, let alone respond, before Tony spotted you.
“There they are,” Tony clapped his hands together. “We were just about to get started. First on the agenda is Smash Bros because this one,” he aggressively pointed in Steve’s direction, “said he needs to go to bed before 1. Party pooper.” Steve rolled his eyes.
“Some of us just don’t want to destroy our entire sleep schedule in one night.” He turned away from Tony to face the two of you, holding out one controller. “We’ve got one spot left, who’s playing?”
---
More than three hours later, the clock read 11 PM and the group of you had made it through several games. As you expected, you hadn’t won anything, but Wanda held her own in Smash Bros and was actually close to beating Nat in Mario Kart at one point (that didn’t last long, but you were proud nonetheless). Thor beat you all at Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games, but with all the jumping and yelling going on at the time, you weren’t sure the tower would hold up long enough for you guys to actually finish the game.
“Are you planning on winning any time soon, Y/N?” Nat winked at you from her spot on the couch, one leg resting above the couch and the other bent at the knee on a cushion.
“Oh, shut up,” you laughed. “You know that I suck at video games.” No one else could hear your conversation with the chaos going on over Cooking Mama. That’s right, Cooking Mama.
“I actually thought you were playing us the first couple game nights. And then I finally realized you were just that bad,” Natasha chuckled, quickly having to dodge the pillow you’d thrown in her direction.
“Would it kill you to sit normally for once?”
“Yes,” she smiled, “Yes, it would.”
“How’re you doing, babe? Not too upset yet?” Wanda joined you on the couch with a peck to your cheek.
“Doing just dandy, Wan. See, I can be a good sport.” The witch laughed.
“I’ll check back in with you in an hour.”
“Hey, ladies, we were going to play Rock Band. You guys interested?” Bucky held up the controllers.
“Who won Cooking Mama?” you asked, a smirk clearly written across your face. Bucky rolled his eyes before responding.
“Clint. Now are you guys joining, or what?”
“Mm, I think I’m going to grab a drink. I’ll enjoy the show for a little bit first,” you winked as you slowly rose from the couch.
“She’s only saying that because she doesn’t want to lose,” Sam scoffed. “Y/N’s just upset she can’t deliver on her promise to beat us all.”
“Just you wait for Mario Party 8, Sam. Just you wait.”
“We don’t have that game,” Bruce whispered to you apologetically. “We let Peter borrow it for the weekend. Sorry, Y/N.”
“Are you serious?” You threw your hands up.
“Coward,” Clint teased, sticking his tongue out at you.
“Oh, calm down, Clint. Rock Band doesn’t even have a winner,” Nat chastised.
“Yes, it does! Whoever gets the highest score wins.” The redhead simply rolled her eyes before winking at you.
“Alright, I’m in. Put me on guitar. You coming, Wan?” Natasha turned to her.
“I’m a bit exhausted from the last game. Soon, though,” the witch promised.
“You want anything, babe?”
“A water would be nice,” Wanda smiled at you. “Thank you, detka.”
“Of course.” You squeezed her hand before heading toward the kitchen.
“How come you didn’t ask any of us if we wanted anything?”
“Okay, Sam,” you turned, crossing your arms, “Do you guys want anything?” A chorus of “no’s” echoed through the room. You shook your head, letting out a puff of air before continuing into the kitchen and grabbing one water for you and your girlfriend.
After a small argument over the song choice, Sam, Bucky, Nat, and Tony were all jamming out to ‘Say It Ain’t So,’ and you couldn’t help but laugh from your position on the couch. Wanda’s left arm was wrapped around your waist, holding you close to her, not that you were complaining. You appreciated the body heat, and her, of course.
Sam did have a pretty decent voice, you had to admit. You didn’t think he’d get so into it, but it was quite entertaining.
Speaking of entertaining, it was extremely difficult to hold in a giggle every time you looked at Bucky. Not that he was bad at it—he was surprisingly very good—but it was obvious he’d spent hours playing this game. Eyes closed, head shaking frantically side to side, and cheeks rosy, one might’ve thought Bucky was actually playing at a concert. You were sure Bucky had his part memorized, which was quite a lot for a guy who was still complaining about all the “confusing, new technology nowadays.”
Nat couldn’t be farther from the opposite of the Winter Soldier. As one might expect, she was hitting every note, but from the look on her face, you had a harder time going up the stairs without tripping than she was having playing the game.
And Tony, well, you didn’t really know what to expect with him, but it certainly wasn’t this. For a guy with all the charisma in the world, you thought he would’ve been more… coordinated. He dropped a drumstick at least twice already, and he could never seem to hit the pedal when he had to use the sticks at the same time.
Unfortunately for you, the song quickly came to a close and a new distraction arose—you.
“Y/N, no avoiding it any longer. C’mon, get up here. Which one do you want to be?” You glanced reluctantly at Wanda before answering. If you wanted to play to win, your best bet was singing, but none of the Avengers, including Wanda, had heard you before, and you were in no rush to change that. At the same time, your girlfriend was right; you definitely had a competitive side to you, and seeing the looks on the guys’ faces when you won would be a glorious sight. But maybe it wasn’t all about winning, after all, Wanda had promised you a kiss…
“Put her on the mic,” Natasha smirked. She removed the strap of the toy guitar from her neck before handing it to Steve. Before you could protest, the microphone was shoved into your hands and someone pushed you towards the front of the room.
“Good luck, Y/N,” you barely heard Wanda call from behind you, more worried about what you were going to do.
“Okay, so, Steve and I will be on guitar and bass, Thor on drums, and Y/N on mic. We ready?” Bucky scanned the room for approval. When everyone except for you nodded, he went to choose a song.
“‘Wanted Dead or Alive?’ Really, Buck?” Steve shook his head.
“It’s a good song,” he shrugged, moving to his spot next to Steve. “Should we show them how it’s done?”
“Ha, funny of you to think you’ll win,” Thor boomed, rubbing the drum sticks together.
“Y/N? You’re awfully quiet.” Sam smirked.
“Oh, shut up, Big Bird. Let’s just get this over with.” The man held up his hands in surrender as he backed away from you slowly.
As the first few measures of the song passed, you made a decision. Screw what the rest of the Avengers thought, you were going for it. You took a deep breath as the words rolled across the screen.
“It’s all the same, only the names will change.” The second you started singing, you heard everyone else go quiet around you. Steve, Bucky, and Thor all stopped playing for a second, and you could practically feel everyone’s mouth drop as you forced your eyes to stay on the screen in front of you.
“Every day, it seems we’re wastin’ away.” Just keep going, you told yourself. As much as you wanted to shrivel up in a corner somewhere far, far away, you had already started this. Might as well finish it.
“Another place where the faces are so cold, I’d drive all night just to get back home.” A whistle erupted from behind you—it had to be Tony—and amongst the hooting and hollering, you smiled, relieved, as the rest of the Avengers seemed to snap back into it.
The rest of the guys got back into the groove, and at one point you weren’t even sure you could hear yourself over Thor’s rather enthusiastic drum playing. You had a hard time not laughing at Bucky when you were watching him earlier, but it was pretty much impossible to not laugh now when you were seeing him with Steve. They were definitely feeding off of each other’s energy, and, wow, was it a sight. You’d never seen them this… loose before. They’d definitely need a comb after this game.
Nevertheless, your teammates’ antics helped you fully relax into the song, and it was over before you knew it. On the last beat of the song, you heard a loud crack and whirled around just in time to dodge part of a drumstick coming straight for your face.
“Thor, what the heck are you doing, man?” The god laughed sheepishly.
“Are you trying to kill my girlfriend?” You glanced over at Wanda, who looked ready to grab Thor around the neck. One stern look from you made her hesitate, but the anger remained obvious in her eyes.
“I guess I got a little caught up in the game. In my defense, your human toys are way too fragile.” After one harsh glare from Wanda, the god swallowed and added, “I apologize, Y/N.”
“Dude, how the heck are we supposed to keep playing with a broken drumstick?” Clint inspected the broken piece, which was at least the size of his palm, passing it from hand to hand.
“Ah, forget it. We can just switch to a different game. Y/N’s would’ve won the rest of the rounds anyway,” Bruce shrugged as he pointed at the screen.
The rest of the Avengers followed his finger, and sure enough, you had finished with a perfect score.
“Okay, Y/N, I’ll give it to you. That was good. How come you never told any of us you could sing?” You laughed, shaking your head.
“Nobody asked me.” You shrugged before handing the microphone to Bruce, allowing the conversation to return to what to do about the broken drumstick and returning to your seat next to Wanda. “Babe, I defeated the grandpas,” you whispered before pushing your face into the crook of her neck. More relaxed now that you were safe next to her, she chuckled, grabbing your hand.
“You did. I thought you would’ve been more excited about it?”
“I’m very happy about it,” you murmured, just loud enough for her to hear.
“You’re cute when you’re embarrassed,” she smiled, squeezing your thigh. You whined, prompting your girlfriend to laugh softly and kiss the top of your forehead. “I wouldn’t mind hearing you sing more often. You’re a good singer, malyshka.”
“Thanks,” you muttered.
“Wow, Wanda, you didn’t even know your girlfriend could sing?” Clint teased. With the conversation back on you, you pushed yourself further into Wanda’s body. She reassured you by tracing small circles at the top of your knee.
“Obviously none of you knew about it either.”
“I did,” Natasha smirked, causing you to look up at her in shock. “I heard you singing in the shower the other day when I went to drop off the sweatshirt you left in my room.” You threw your head back in laughter before chucking a pillow in her direction, which she easily caught.
“You suck. You put me on singing on purpose!”
“You wanted to win, didn’t you?” your best friend shrugged, clearly not feeling bad for what she had done.
“Okay, okay, can we get back to game night now?” Sam whined. “Sure, Y/N can sing. But can she dance?” Everyone groaned playfully as Sam pulled out a copy of Just Dance. “Natasha, you’re not allowed to play,” he quickly added. The redhead crossed her arms, a smile on her face.
“Fine with me. Go get ‘em, Y/N.” You grinned. Giving Wanda a peck on the cheek, you stood from the couch yet again and rolled up your sleeves. This was going to be a long night.

Morning brings with it bright sunshine and fresh horror as the events of the previous evening come rushing back. You aren’t sure you’ll ever be able to look Jeon Jungkook in the eye again—or at least, not without being reminded of the way he’d plagued every single one of your dreams with devilish eyes and even more devilish fingers. Groaning, you scrub at your temples, as if that will help dispel the memories. After a few fruitless moments, you crawl out of bed and head for the bathroom, intent on washing everything away with a good, cold shower.
Try as you might, though, you simply cannot avoid your dark-haired neighbor. You’re in the kitchen sipping at your second coffee of the day and debating what you want for lunch when there’s a knock on the front door—a familiar rhythm that has your heart stuttering. “It’s open!” Jimin yells from the living room, and a moment later, the devil himself strolls in, wearing a plain black t-shirt with ripped jeans and well-worn Timberlands. Vaguely, you wonder when he made the switch from white tees to black, but your musings are cut short when he spots you in the kitchen, an impish grin settling across his face.
“Hey, Noona.”
“Hey.” You thank whatever god may be out there that your voice is steady. “Jimin’s in the living room.”
Jungkook tilts his head coyly and takes a step forward. “What makes you think I’m here for Jimin? Maybe I came to see you.”
Anxiously, you swallow down the memories of his warm hands that are trying to resurface. “I highly doubt that.”
“Really?” Jungkook takes another step forward and plucks the coffee mug from your hands. “What if I came over to finish what I started last night?”
Heat floods across your face. “That—that was… I mean, I don’t—”
“You don’t what?” Jungkook asks, raising a brow. “Want me? Because I’m pretty sure that’s a lie, Noona.” Quietly, he closes the last bit of distance between you, and when he speaks again you can feel his warm breath fanning across your cheeks with every word. “You see, I think you want me. Just as much as I want you. Am I wrong?”
“Jungkook, we—”
“Dude, what’s taking you so long?” Jimin’s head suddenly pops around the doorway, and you nearly jump out of your skin in your effort to put some distance between you and your dark-haired neighbor. “I’m about to start the game without you.”
“Just wanted to grab some coffee and say hi to {Name},” Jungkook replies, raising your half-empty mug to his lips and taking a sip. “Did you want to join us, Noona? It’d be fun to watch you kick Jimin’s ass at Mario Kart again.”
You swallow, hard. “I can’t. I’ve got homework to do.” Not strictly true, perhaps, but you’d been planning on looking over the details of your internship again at some point, and now seems as good a time as any. “Sorry,” you add quickly, seeing Jungkook’s disbelieving expression.
“Summer homework? Gross.” Jimin pulls a face. “You’re still coming to Tae’s party though, right?”
You nod, unwillingly catching Jungkook’s eye again. He’s still sipping at your coffee, and you don’t miss the flagrant wink he shoots you over the rim of the cup. “See you later then, Noona,” he says, his voice practically a purr.
“Right,” you respond dully, your heart skipping a beat at the dark promise in his stare. “Later.”
Jimin and Jungkook disappear down the hall, but you remain rooted in the kitchen for a few minutes longer, listening as the music of whatever video game they’ve decided on starts playing from the living room. Heaving a sigh, you fetch a new mug from the cupboard and pour yourself some more coffee, grabbing an apple and a bag of chips as well. Taking everything up to your bedroom, you pull out your laptop and make yourself comfortable on your bed, plugging in some headphones to drown out the noise from downstairs. With any luck, you won’t have to see Jungkook again until you have to leave for Taehyung’s party, and you’re pretty sure that it’ll be easy to avoid him once you’re there.
In fact, you’re certain of it.
So with that thought in mind, you settle down with your coffee and open up Netflix, sinking into the pillows and pushing your dark-haired neighbor into the deepest recesses of your mind. It isn’t until your phone starts vibrating insistently against your thigh that you are startled out of your binge-watching, the screen lit up with two new notifications. Surprised, you realize that hours have passed, the sky outside your window deepening into the hazy blue of nighttime.
[6:02pm] Jungkook: you hungry, noona?
[6:02pm] Jungkook: for pizza, i mean. we ordered dinner
[6:03pm] Jungkook: but i’ll be your dessert if you want me ;)
You drop your phone as if burned, his final message playing over and over in your mind. It takes you a full minute to gather your wits again, stowing your device in your pocket without responding and carefully picking your way downstairs. Already, you can smell the cheesy grease, your stomach growling in anticipation.
Just grab the pizza and go, you think to yourself, formulating your escape plan and double-checking it for any holes. Dine and dash.
You’re walking past the foyer when there’s suddenly a knock on the front door. Curiously, you answer it, swinging it open to see a familiar grinning face standing on the doorstep. Lee Taemin is a good friend of Jimin’s, and your brother pokes his head out from the kitchen at the sound of your greeting, clearly expecting the new guest.
“Taemin! Get in here and have some pizza,” Jimin says, his mouth full. “You too, Noona. We got plenty.”
Instead of immediately heading for the food, Taemin wraps you in a hug that has you wheezing for air. “Long time no see, huh? How’ve you been?”
You squirm in his tight embrace, raised to your tiptoes. “Put me down, you heathen. I’m fine right now, but I won’t be if you suffocate me.”
Taemin chortles good-naturedly and releases his grip, ruffling your hair. “Good to see you too, {Name}. Honestly, it hasn’t been the same around here without you. How long are you back for? The whole summer?”
You shake your head. “Just a couple weeks. I’ve got to get back for an internship.”
“Already a hotshot, huh?” Taemin grins. “What are you going to be doing?”
The topic of your summer job is a welcome distraction from the way Jungkook’s dark gaze trails after you as you tread into the kitchen alongside Taemin, slapping two slices of pizza onto a plate and glancing around for a napkin. You can feel his eyes boring into the back of your skull, prickling your skin with electricity, but continue your conversation with Taemin as if nothing is amiss.
“You gonna sit down or what?” Taemin gives you a quizzical glance as he pulls a chair out from the table, joining Jimin and Jungkook who are already seated. You do your best to ignore the way Jungkook’s jaw flexes with every chew, somehow managing to look infuriatingly handsome despite the mouth full of dough and pizza grease staining his chin.
“I—” Your mind whirs, searching for the excuse you had planned. “—I still have some work to do. Reading and whatnot.”
“Nerd,” Jimin snorts.
Taemin shrugs. “Okay, then. Suit yourself, I guess.”
Jungkook doesn’t say anything. But you feel his eyes burning into your skin as you head back upstairs, and it isn’t until you are safely back in your bedroom, sagging against the closed door, that you can finally breathe properly again.
///
You end up departing for the party nearly twenty minutes after the official start time of eight o’clock, caving to Jimin’s insistence on being fashionably late. Personally, you think he just wanted the extra time to work on his hair—making sure every strand is perfectly, effortlessly tousled—and call him out on it as he locks the front door behind you.
“I didn’t spend that long on my hair,” Jimin sniffs defensively. “Besides, you’re the one who needed to run back in and get your wallet. What do you even need your wallet for? We’re walking like, four blocks.”
“Better safe than sorry,” you retort. “What if I get murdered and they need to identify my body? What if I get mugged? You never know!”
Taemin falls into step beside you. “What if we need to tip a stripper?” he chimes in.
You nod and raise your hand for a high-five without taking your eyes off your brother. “Exactly! You have to tip your sex workers, Chim!”
Jimin waggles a suggestive eyebrow. “I think I’d rather give them a different ti—”
You push him off the sidewalk before he can finish speaking, pulling a face as he stumbles into the street in a fit of laughter. “Don’t you dare finish that sentence, you perv!”
The remainder of the short walk to Taehyung’s house passes uneventfully. Jimin doesn’t bother knocking, throwing open the door like he owns the place, and you trail after him with Taemin and Jungkook on your heels. Immediately, you’re assailed by a cacophonous sea of conversation and thumping music, people milling around in the dimly lit interior.
“There you are!” The voice comes from your left, and you barely have time to register the speaker’s face before she’s gasping and engulfing you in a hug. “{Name}, you made it! Hi!”
You laugh, squeezing her back. “Hi, Chaeyoung. It’s good to see you. Sorry I didn’t catch you at graduation.”
“Oh please,” she says, waving you off. “We have all the time in the world to catch up now. Let’s get you away from these boys and find you a drink, shall we?” Flipping a lock of strawberry blonde hair over her shoulder, she loops her arm through yours and begins steering you toward the kitchen. “So what are you in the mood for? The beer’s shit, so I’d stay away from anything in the cooler, but everything else is actually drinkable.”
“Shocking,” you remark, peering at the mess of bottles and cups lining the kitchen counter. There’s a massive bowl of a horrifyingly neon green concoction as well, and you take one whiff before backing away again, nose wrinkling in disgust. “I see Tae’s still making punch.”
“I wouldn’t touch that if I were you,” Chaeyoung advises. “He’s somehow managed to make it twice as sugary and three times more alcoholic than last year’s. Pretty sure it’s worse than moonshine at this point.”
You grin and locate an empty cup, raising it in her direction. “Thanks for the heads up.”
Chaeyoung refills her own drink, and you settle on a simple blend of cranberry juice and vodka. Together, you head back in the direction of the living room, where Jisoo and Lisa are chattering away on a couch in the corner. They look up at your arrival, greeting you with smiles and hugs, and quickly usher you into a seat beside them.
“So,” Jisoo begins, leaning forward. “How’s college?”
“Tell us everything,” Lisa adds, propping her chin in her palm. “Is it nice living away from home?”
Jisoo waggles her brows. “Forget that. Have you met any guys?”
Unbidden, Jungkook springs to the forefront of your mind, dark eyes staring at you from beneath equally dark hair as he leans down, down, down—
“Nope!” you blurt before your thoughts can progress any further. “I mean, I share a suite with a couple guys, but that doesn’t count.”
“Are they cute?” Lisa prods.
“They must be more mature than these high school boys,” Chaeyoung sighs.
“Hardly,” you snort. “Don’t get your hopes up.”
The gossip continues. More people arrive as the night wears on, the living room filling up with dancing bodies. A few girls you don’t know join in your conversation, perching on armrests and ottomans and the carpeted floor as a last resort. Across the hall in the dining room, you spot Taemin setting up a table for beer pong, a triumphant shout going up when Taehyung procures an unopened package of balls from somewhere in the hall closet.
“This is gonna be tournament style, got it?” he announces as he tears the package open. “Winner goes up against the undefeated champs—Jungkook and Yugyeom!”
Even from your comfy seat on the couch, you can see the arrogant twist of Jungkook’s mouth as he leans over to give Yugyeom a high-five. You can’t tear your eyes away from the way he tongues his cheek, lounging back into a chair to watch the first round of the game. Jimin steps forward alongside Taehyung, and you watch as your brother scrutinizes the pyramid of cups, poised to make a throw that lifts his shirt just enough to expose a flash of his admittedly toned abdomen.
“He wore that shirt on purpose,” Jisoo accuses, and you huff out a sound that’s more snort than laugh.
“Please, it’s just the only shirt he owns that isn’t dirty. Trust me.”
“I don’t even care,” another girl you don’t know the name of pipes up. “I’d still let him blow my back out.”
You grimace. “And on that note, I suddenly need another drink,” you announce, to giggles. Wrenching out of your cozy seat between Jisoo and Lisa, you wave your near empty cup in farewell and make your way toward the kitchen, carefully skirting around the dancers and beer pong spectators spilling out into the hallway.
The kitchen is deserted when you walk in, everyone having flocked to the dining room to watch the beer pong tournament. Humming along to the music, you open up the fridge and survey its contents, hoping to find something decent. Curiously, you pick your way past a few cans before turning a dark glass bottle around to read the label.
“Are you avoiding me, Noona?”
The voice comes from behind you, deep and sinfully resonant, and you don’t even have to turn around to know that he’s standing just inches away. His breath ruffles through the hair at the nape of your neck, sending gooseflesh prickling across your skin, and when strong hands curl gently around your hips you let out a breath you hadn’t realized you’d been holding.
“I missed you, y’know,” he continues, his mouth finding its way to your ear and nipping lightly at the lobe. “You didn’t talk to me all day, even though I was right there in your house. Ran like a scared little rabbit when you saw me in the kitchen, didn’t you?” Softly, his lips ghost along the column of your throat, pressing a kiss to the junction of your neck and shoulder. “So, now what? Are you gonna run from me again?”
You don’t think you could if you tried. Your feet are rooted firmly in place, your entire body frozen as you await whatever he’ll do next. And when he urges you to spin around and face him, you obey immediately, your hands coming up to splay against his chest as he presses even closer and rewards your compliance with a kiss.
“Jungkook,” you breathe against his parted lips. “Jungkook, god.”
Slowly, he trails down your neck, leaving soft nips in his wake. “Yes, Noona?”
“We can’t,” you whisper, even as your head falls back to allow him more access to your clavicle. “Jungkook, we can’t do this.”
Your companion raises his head then, his dark gaze meeting yours. “Tell me to stop,” he says quietly. His thumbs dip beneath the hem of your shirt, rubbing circles into the soft skin of your waist, and you inhale sharply at the feeling. “If that’s what you want, Noona, just tell me to stop and I will. I promise.”
He’s palming along your hips now. The warmth of his palms seeps into your body, rendering it increasingly difficult to concentrate. His mouth returns to your neck as he awaits your answer, and you don’t miss the way his lips curl into a smirk against the delicate skin of your collarbone when you hesitate a moment too long.
“Well, Noona?”
Fuck it. Your arms wind around his neck, pulling him closer until there’s no space left between your bodies. “Jungkook, kiss me,” you breathe, throwing all remaining remnants of caution to the wind.
Jungkook straightens up to his full height, his smirk widening. “Anything for you, princess,” he remarks before leaning down, winding one hand in your hair and finding purchase in the curve of your waist with the other. The newfound pet name ignites a tendril of heat in the pit of your belly, and when Jungkook finally closes the gap between your lips, you release a breathy moan that he eagerly swallows. The hand in your hair tightens its grip to pull you even closer, tongues and teeth clashing as he deepens the kiss.
It’s only when the need for air becomes critical that you break away from him with a gasp, your lungs aching. Jungkook isn’t faring much better, his chest heaving beneath the thin white material of his t-shirt. He releases his grip on your hair, his thumb grazing across your cheek gently instead, and when he leans in to plant another kiss on your mouth, you exhale shakily. “God, Jungkook.”
His arm tightens around your waist. “What do you need, princess?” he asks, and you can’t deny your delight at his continued use of the nickname. His teeth find the lobe of your ear again, and you release a breathy moan as he delivers a particularly sharp nip to the soft flesh before pressing an open-mouthed kiss to the sensitive spot just below it. “Tell me. Tell me, and I’ll give it to you. I’ll give you anything you want.”
You slide your hands along his broad shoulders and up to his nape, brushing the silver hoops in his ears before tangling your fingers in his silky hair. “You’re teasing me.”
Jungkook clicks his tongue and pulls away, your arms falling uselessly to your sides as he takes a step back. “I just need to hear you say it, Noona,” he chides, his voice leaving no room for disobedience. “I need to hear you say that you want this. That you want me.”
A shiver dances up your spine, and you aren’t sure whether it’s due to his wicked lilt or the sudden absence of his body heat. “I want you,” you whisper, reaching out to touch him. “Jungkook, please.”
The smirk that spreads across his face is absolutely devastating. “Then come with me,” he commands softly, taking your hand and lacing your fingers together. You leave behind the thumping music and the loud chatter of the party, allowing Jungkook to pull you into one of several rooms lining the hallway and squeaking when he shuts the door and immediately pins you against it. His mouth slants across yours, hot and urgent, and you moan into the kiss as your hands fly up to grip his shoulders.
“Do you know how long I’ve wanted this?” Jungkook breathes, pulling away just enough to whisper the words against your lips. “Fuck, princess, look at this tiny little skirt you’re wearing. You’ve been killing me all night, you know that?”
He punctuates the words with another kiss, nipping harshly at your bottom lip. His hands slide down to the curve of your ass, and you gasp when he scoops you up effortlessly. “Legs around my waist,” he orders, readjusting his grip as he begins walking you further into the room.
It’s the laundry room, you realize upon closer inspection. Jungkook’s busy mouthing at your neck, but he breaks away with a smirk when he finally reaches his destination, plopping you down atop the cool metal of the washing machine. “Shame there’s nothing in here,” he remarks, kicking the side softly. “I really wanna fuck you with this thing running one day. But for now…” His smirk widens, his hands settling on your knees. “This’ll do.”
In an instant, he’s pushed up your skirt and hooked his thumbs into the waistband of your panties, tugging them down and off your legs. He drops to his knees, smoothing his hands along your inner thighs, and your cheeks flush when he urges you to spread them further. “Jungkook—“ you mumble, thoroughly embarrassed as he stares reverently at your exposed core, his tongue swiping across his bottom lip. “Quit staring at me like that.”
“I can’t help it,” he murmurs, leaning in and pressing a soft trail of kisses along your thigh. “You’re so beautiful, Noona.”
“You…”
You trail off, unsure of what to say. What do you say when your little brother’s best friend is staring at you like you’re a desert oasis and he’s been wandering, dehydrated, for days? What do you say when the scrawny neighbor kid you’d grown up with is caressing every inch of your legs, soothing the soft skin with his fingers and lips?
What do you say when you realize, once and for all, that Jeon Jungkook is undoubtedly—unabashedly—a man now?
You swallow, hard. Jungkook is nearing your core now, his hair tickling your thighs, and you gasp when he slides a finger up your slit experimentally. “You’re so wet,” he breathes. “So wet, and so—” He touches the pad of his finger to his tongue, grinning up at you as he laps up your essence. “—delicious. Fuck. You’re the best thing I’ve ever tasted.”
And then he leans forward, boldly licking a stripe up the length of your entrance. Strong arms wind around your legs to hold you open, and when he shoves his face even deeper, his nose brushing against your clit, you let out a strangled whimper. “Fuck, Jungkook—”
The sound of his name draws a pleased hum from the young man nestled between your thighs, rumbling through his chest and straight to your core. Your walls clench, but Jungkook stubbornly refuses to dip his tongue inside. Instead, he teases at your folds, spreading them apart with two fingers and licking ardently at your leaking juices before kissing a short trail up to your clit. “Can you cum like this?” he asks curiously, thumbing across the sensitive bundle of nerves.
His answer comes in the form of a breathy gasp, your hips jerking upward to seek out more friction. Jungkook chuckles and obliges your silent request, dark eyes flickering up to meet yours as he begins rubbing slow circles around your bud. “Guess that’s a yes,” he murmurs, pressing yet another kiss to your thigh. His gaze remains locked on yours as he rubs a little harder, dragging your juices up from your slit and digging in deep until you are moaning aloud, your hands coming down to fist in his silky hair.
“I-I’m close,” you keen. “Please, Jungkook, please.”
Jungkook hums and leans back. At the same time, he slides two fingers inside you, curling them upward, and the sudden surge of fullness is more than enough to tip you over the edge. His name escapes your lips in a garbled moan, your walls spasming around his hand as he continues teasing your clit, drawing out your orgasm until you finally whine from oversensitivity and bat him away. Obediently, he withdraws, rising to his feet so that he towers over you once more.
“Holy fuck,” he murmurs, staring down at you with an expression caught somewhere between awestruck wonder and unbridled hunger. “You’re so pretty when you cum. So pretty and perfect and—” He swallows, his throat bobbing harshly. “God, I need to fuck you. Can I fuck you now, Noona? Will you let me stretch open this pretty little pussy and fill you up with my cock?”
Your breath hitches. Never in a million years could you have imagined that your brother’s mild-mannered best friend could have such a filthy mouth, but you cannot hide the way your core clenches at his words. Slowly, you raise your arms, winding them around his neck to pull him closer. “Yes,” you whisper, brushing your lips against his. “Fuck me, Jungkook.”
A groan escapes him, deep and cavernous in a way that sends heat spiking through your veins. Jungkook doesn’t waste any time, his mouth chasing after yours as one hand finds the back of your head, pulling you into a bruising kiss. The other slides down to the waistband of his jeans, freeing himself from the confines of the denim. He doesn’t break the kiss for a moment, even as he grabs your hips and pulls you closer. It isn’t until you’re seated on the very edge of the washing machine, wrapping your legs around his waist to steady yourself, that you pull away and let your gaze fall to his newly revealed cock. Jungkook is long and deliciously thick, and you let out a shaky breath when you see the pearlescent white drops beading at the swollen tip.
“Oh my god.” The words bubble up automatically, escaping you in an airy whisper. “How are you so big?”
Jungkook huffs out a hoarse chuckle, amusement glittering in his dark irises. “Think you can take all of me, princess?”
Your gaze falls down to his length again, your tongue darting out to wet your lips. “Put on a condom, and let’s find out.”
Jungkook grins and produces a little foil wrapper from somewhere in his back pocket, tearing into it with his teeth. You help him roll the condom over his cock, and as soon as it’s in place, he’s lining himself up and pushing inside you. A deep groan escapes him as he parts your walls inch by torturous inch, and you moan as your pussy is stretched to its limit, molding to his shape and sheer size. By the time he bottoms out, he’s almost prodding at your cervix, and you grab breathlessly at his bicep.
“I—I need a minute,” you gasp, your body spasming around him as you fight to adjust to the surge of fullness.
“Me too,” Jungkook rasps, his voice strained. His eyes flutter shut as he inhales deeply through his nose, cursing again when you clench around him unconsciously. “Fuck. You’re so tight.”
For a few moments, there’s only the sound of Jungkook’s labored breathing, his head falling forward to rest on your shoulder. His breath is hot against the exposed skin of your clavicle, and you sigh when you feel him mouthing at the delicate skin, nipping softly before soothing across it with his tongue.
At the sound, Jungkook raises his head, dark eyes meeting yours before dropping down to where the two of you are joined. “God, you look so good like this,” he murmurs, licking his lips. “So pretty, stuffed full of my cock.”
You clench around him again—this time more purposefully. Jungkook’s mouth falls open, a silent question on the tip of his tongue, and you answer it with a deliberate roll of your hips, wordlessly encouraging him to move. Gingerly, he obeys, retreating until only the head of his erection remains inside you. His hand drops down to your clit, and you keen out his name when he surges forward at the same time he flicks his thumb across the sensitive nub. Pleasure licks at your spine, replacing the discomfort. Jungkook lets out a pleased hum.
Slowly, he works up a rhythm, keeping his thrusts shallow as he begins rubbing circles around your clit again. With his other hand, he slides the straps of your top down your shoulders, tugging the bodice down just enough to free your breasts. Your nipples harden at the exposure, and a moan escapes you when he immediately takes one between his fingers, rolling and pinching at the peak. The additional stimulation, paired with the heavy drag of his cock along your walls and his insistent thumb on your clit, has you teetering dangerously close to the edge, your tummy tensing.
“Jungkook—” you whimper, your nails digging into his shoulders. He grunts in response and picks up the pace, rolling even more fervently up into your clenching heat, and you gasp when a particularly hard thrust sends you scooting backward atop the washing machine. “Fuck! I’m close, Jungkook.”
“Me too,” he grits out. “Come on, princess, cum for me. I know you can do it, just let go for me one more time—”
And with one final flick of his wrist and a thrust that’s so deep you can practically feel him in the back of your throat, you come completely undone, spasming wildly around his cock. It all proves too much for Jungkook, who’s groaning right alongside you as he reaches his high, spilling into the condom. He chants your name like a prayer as his hips gradually still, and his lips seek out yours almost instinctively as his cock softens inside you. The kiss is lazy and languid, contentment settling in your veins. Jungkook wraps you up in a warm embrace, his tongue dipping inside your mouth to explore.
It isn’t until a loud cheer rises up from the front of the house that you snap out of your blissful haze. “We should get back to the party,” you mumble into the kiss, pushing against Jungkook’s chest when he only pulls you closer. “Jungkook, come on. People are gonna get suspicious if we’re gone too long.”
“You know what else will make people suspicious? You, coming out like that.” He gestures at the skirt hiked up around your waist, a slow smirk playing at his lips as he gives you a once-over, his gaze lingering on the wet sheen streaking your inner thighs. “As much as I’m enjoying the view.”
You swat his arm. “Stop that!”
Jungkook snickers and bends down to pick up your discarded panties, swinging them around his index finger. “Stop what?”
“Oh my god, Jungkook.”
Cackling, he returns the lacy undergarment to you, watching as you pull the material up your legs. You adjust your shirt while he disposes of his condom, and when you hop off the washing machine, he offers you a hand that you gratefully accept, gripping his arm as you steady yourself on shaky legs.
“You should leave first,” you tell him, smoothing out the wrinkles in his t-shirt and relishing the way his muscles twitch beneath your fingertips. “It’ll look weird if we leave together, and I need to pee, anyway.”
Jungkook grins and catches your wrists, swooping down to plant a quick kiss on your mouth. “As you wish,” he says, offering you a playful wink.
Then he’s straightening back up to his full height, checking his pockets and running a hand through his mussed hair. You watch as he walks over to the door, putting his ear against it for a few seconds before determining that the coast is clear and slipping out into the hallway. As the door clicks shut behind him, you hear someone—you’re pretty sure it’s a drunk Yugyeom—greet him with a resounding clap on the back. “Dude, where have you been all night? We’re getting our asses handed to us. Minho and Taemin are winning.”
“Sorry, man,” Jungkook half-shouts, and you realize that he’s making sure you can hear him. “Come on. Let’s go get that crown.”
Leaning against the door, you listen as their voices recede down the hallway. You count to five, and then to ten when your thumping heart refuses to slow. At nineteen, it finally calms down—enough that you feel comfortable leaving the laundry room and slipping into the bathroom to clean yourself up.
There’s a massive crowd gathered in the dining room by the time you rejoin the party, and you easily slip unnoticed into the mass of people eagerly watching the final round of the beer pong tournament. Jungkook stands at the far end of the table beside Yugyeom, poised to throw.
He catches your eye at the same time he releases the ball with a flick of his wrist, a knowing smirk settling on his face as triumphant cheers break out all around you.
///
It’s well after midnight by the time the party begins to wind down. Chaeyoung and Lisa are nowhere to be found, and several other girls are lingering near the front door saying their goodbyes before heading out. You find yourself seated on the couch between Jimin and Minho, watching as the latter helps clean up by hurling beer cans at the wastebasket on the other end of the room.
“Man, no wonder you suck at pong.” Jungkook walks into the room and plops down on an end table, a faded cardboard Burger King crown sitting rakishly on his head. “Want me to show you how the champs do it?”
Minho snorts. “Fuck off, man, you barely won that second game. Besides, we totally would’ve won if Taemin hadn’t spent half the time staring at Lisa’s tits.”
Taemin, who’s perched on a corner of the coffee table, raises his hands innocently. “Hey, don’t look at me. I scored most of the points that round.”
Minho huffs irritably and tosses another can at the wastebasket, cursing when it bounces off the rim. Taehyung wanders in and picks it up, throwing it back at Minho before squeezing into the miniscule amount of space between you and Jimin on the couch.
“Jesus, Tae,” you grunt, shifting to give him more room. The movement tilts you toward Minho, smushing you against his side, and he shoots you a playful grin and a wink.
“Cozy?”
“Cozy,” you confirm with a laugh.
“Good,” he says, freeing his arm and throwing it across the back of the couch to give you a little more space. “It’s nice having you around again, Noona.”
Jungkook’s head whirls around so quickly you fear he might have given himself whiplash. His stare zeroes in on Minho’s arm, eyes narrowing at the proximity, but the other boy remains blissfully unaware as he leans back against the couch cushions. Subtly, you lean forward, trying to put some distance between your bodies.
“It’s nice to be back,” you tell him. “It feels like I missed so much, but at the same time, it’s like nothing’s changed.”
“Choi’s aim sure hasn’t changed,” Yugyeom remarks from the doorway with a handful of empty beer bottles. “Still can’t land a shot, even after all these years.” Raising a bottle, he hefts it toward the wastebasket, smirking in satisfaction when it sinks perfectly inside the can.
“And not just with pong,” Taemin goads. “How did things go with Sana again?”
Minho rolls his eyes. “Like you’re one to talk. Besides, we’d all probably stand a better chance if Jeon over there would leave some girls for the rest of us.”
“You’re just jealous because Sana likes him better than she likes you,” Taehyung says with a snicker. “Yo, Jeon! Didn’t you guys make it to third base at Jackson’s party?”
Your stomach sinks as all eyes in the room turn to Jungkook, whose eyes go wide at the sudden attention. “What?”
“Sa. Na,” Taehyung repeats, emphasizing each syllable. “Hottest girl in our year? Third base at Jackson’s? Or are you having a hard time remembering since you wound up leaving with Jihyo?”
Yugyeom chortles as he plops down onto the carpeted floor. “Fuck, man, I forgot about that. Jesus. Just last year you were still shitting yourself at the thought of talking to a girl. Who knew you secretly had so much game?”
The room is beginning to feel stifling. Every breath you take feels like you’re inhaling ash, like a volcano that has lain dormant for ages has suddenly and without warning erupted inside your chest.
He’s playing you. And even worse, it seems that this is a game he’s played before—many times, if his friends are to be believed. Your stomach turns at the thought.
From his perch on the end table, Jungkook scoffs out a stilted, staccato note. “Right. I guess any nonzero number would seem high to you guys, huh?”
Loud jeers break out from the surrounding boys, and you do your best to melt back into the couch cushions. The way you’re squished between Taehyung and Minho makes it impossible for you to find any leverage to stand, so you settle for leaning your head back and staring at the stucco ceiling, willing your heartbeat to slow. Gradually, the noise of the party fades into the background, as do the voices of your brother and his friends. It’s only when Jimin pokes your shoulder, singsonging your name, that you break out of your trance.
“What? Huh?”
“The lake house,” Jimin says, looking at you as if you’re stupid. “You down?”
You can only blink at him, repeating the words back to him dumbly. “The lake house?”
Jimin raises a brow. “Yeah, the lake house. You know, our lake house? The one we drive up to every summer? Where we’ve been vacationing since we were like, five?”
You scowl when he pinches your cheek like you’re a child again. “Yeah, I got that. What about it?”
A snort. “Jeez, have you been listening at all, Noona? We’re talking about going up there for a few days.”
“Oh,” you croak. Unwillingly, you find yourself glancing over at Jungkook, your face growing warm when you see him staring right back, his expression careful and composed. “Right.”
“You should come, Noona,” Taemin pipes up. “You’re here for the next few weeks, right? Might as well have some fun.”
“I don’t know—” you begin, but Jimin cuts you off with a raised finger and another pinch to your cheek.
“You can’t just do homework the whole time you’re here,” he says. “Come with us, Noona. Live a little.”
“It’ll help get your mind off your internship, too,” Jungkook remarks softly. “You deserve a break. Just a few days won’t hurt.”
The fact that he remembers your internship woes shouldn’t make your heart lurch. You know it shouldn’t, but you can’t help the way your chest swells dangerously. “Fine,” you concede, reaching over Taehyung to pinch Jimin’s cheek in retaliation. “I’ll come, I guess.”
Taehyung and Taemin cheer, and Minho wraps his arm around your shoulder and squeezes you tight. “We should invite the other girls,” he points out, chuckling when you splutter for air in his ironclad grasp and try in vain to shake him off. “Don’t want it to be a total sausage fest.”
“Penis party is a much better term,” Taehyung interjects helpfully. “It’s alliterative.”
“You want alliterative? How about a cock carnival?” Jimin supplies, before doubling over in giggles.
You huff, exasperated at the ludicrous turn in conversation. “I can’t believe I’m coming with you guys.”
Minho snickers. “Title of your sex tape,” he jokes, punctuating it with a suggestive eyebrow waggle that sobers your brother up immediately. Jimin straightens up and fixes Minho with a glare, and despite your brother’s smaller stature, the older boy still shrinks back slightly.
“Dude, that’s my sister.”
Minho raises his hands apologetically. “Sorry, sorry. Automatic response. My bad.”
You just roll your eyes. “Are you twelve? God. I don’t know how the girls put up with any of you.”
Gradually, the night draws to a close. The number of people milling about dwindles, and Taehyung fiddles with his phone, letting out a satisfied hum when he finds the playlist he wants. The music transforms into something low and smooth, the soft R&B beat filling the room. You feel your eyes begin to droop.
“We should probably head home,” Jimin says, stretching his arms lazily overhead. “Noona here has to get her beauty sleep, and I don’t feel like carrying her back if she falls asleep here.”
“Shut up, Chim,” you mumble, but there’s no real bite in your tone. Jimin just chuckles and stands up, tugging on your hand until you’re on your feet as well. Jungkook straightens up too, and together, you bid farewell to the others and head for the door.
“{Name}, wait a second.”
You turn at the sound of Jisoo’s voice, tilting your head curiously as she lays a gentle hand on your arm and ushers you off to the side. “Yeah?”
Jisoo casts a furtive glance around the hallway, lowering her voice to a murmur. “I see what’s going on with Jungkook,” she whispers once she’s sure the coast is clear.
You stiffen, your mouth opening and closing a few times before you manage to find your voice again. “You… you saw us?”
She nods. “He’s been watching you all night—it’d honestly be harder not to notice. I just…” She sighs and looks around again, missing the relief that must be etched across your expression as her gaze lingers on where Jungkook and Jimin are loitering by the door. “…just be careful, okay? Jungkook—he’s changed this past year. I mean, I don’t know if all the rumors are true, but… he’s not the same guy you probably remember. He went out with Chae for a few weeks, did she tell you that?”
At your look of horror, she sighs. “Figures. She hides it well, but I know she’s still torn up about how he ended it after they slept together. So watch out for him, okay? He’s a heartbreaker. And he never, ever stays until the morning.”
Every word that leaves her mouth stings, but you don’t let that show on your face. Instead, you force a smile and pat her hand reassuringly. “Don’t worry about me,” you tell her. “I’m not going to get involved with him.”
You repeat that to yourself the whole way home, trying not to focus on the young man a few paces away and the way you can still taste him on your tongue.

now accepting boyfriend applications: intro to business
synopsis: it’s crazy how things can slip the mind, just like how you posted about wanting boyfriend applications but granted, you were drunk. It seemed like Akaashi had the upper hand; until a certain classmate intrudes your mind.

“I’m almost positive that guy wasn’t your boyfriend.” Kuroo would know, he probably isn’t going to tell you that he’s familiar with Akaashi due to a mutual friend. Instead, he lifts his chin, “ex-boyfriend.” He corrects himself.
You bite the insides of your mouth, “No he was not.”
You’re back to an internal groan, now you were stuck with the next boyfriend candidate and it’s starting to feel like you’re speed dating.
“Business is all about—” It’s ten minutes into class and your professor enjoys beginning class with an inspirational quote which then smoothly leads into lecture. Only, today, it seems as though he’s taking forever to get to the point of the quote.
Like always, Kuroo remains fixated on the lecture. He was the type to never take notes, though his notebook was out, and his pen is twirling in his hand, you don’t think you’ve ever seen him write anything down. Yet he was somehow managing a ninety-eight percent in the class, what an intelligent prick.
“You good?” He’s mouthing to you and you’ve realized that you had been staring.
You nod in an attempt that he doesn’t catch how embarrassed you actually were to have been caught looking at him. Kuroo turns back to the lecture and now you’re staring down at your phone that is reaching sixty percent. You shamelessly pull up the pdf he had sent you.
“Are you reading my letter of intent?”
You lock your phone so fast; it almost falls on the floor. You’re only lucky that it falls off the desk and Kuroo’s reflexes quickly catch the cell. The action makes both of your desks squeak against the floor and everyone’s heads turn. Both you and Kuroo mutter apologies as he hands you back your phone.
“Cat got your tongue?” He’s stupidly smirking, and you’re tempted to kick him, “Did you read it?”
“No.” You say in a hushed voice, turning your eyes to the board trying to pay attention for once.
He, also, turns to look at the board. Chin resting on his palm, “What a shame.”
For the rest of the class period, he remains silent. He’s fixated on the professor’s lecture, but your mind is racing. Your leg is bouncing rapidly, fingers tapping against the desk, you’re itching to touch your phone but scared it’ll make Kuroo pull another move to talk to you.
The lecture drags, you want to go back to sleep, and you’re suddenly realizing that you’ve skipped breakfast and lunch. Your stomach growls, to you it sounds like a dinosaur’s roar but no one else in the room seems to have heard it. Once more it growls, making you lean your head on the desk with a heavy sigh. You were starving, suddenly aware that you’ve left your wallet at home, and you’ve neglected to add your card to your cell phone so now you’re contemplating skipping your biology lab or starving for the rest of the day.
Your head is laid on its side, giving you perfect view of Kuroo’s side profile. His bed hair looks soft and you’ve got to admit that his jawline is exquisite. He smirks, eyes looking at you from the side. You’d feel embarrassed but you’re hungrier even to the point of being angry.
The lecture drags on and at this point you think you might die from the way your stomach is crying.
“Are you hungry?” Kuroo asks after the fifth time your stomach as growled.
“Is it that obvious?”
Kuroo laughs lowly, “You sound like a car that won’t start.”
You take full offence, “Shut up.”
He was always like this, playful and poking jabs at you. He loved to banter with you and you’d be lying if you said that you didn’t like it. Talking with him was like talking to a childhood friend, it’s easy going and free spirited. Even when the two of you were studying for the first business exam, tucked in a hidden space on the second floor of the library; the studying was abandoned when he kept showing you funny scenes from an anime, resulting in you watching the anime on his tiny cell phone screen despite the both of you clearly having your laptops out.
Kuroo leans close to you, “Want to get out of here?”
“Right now?” You whisper, “We still have forty-five minutes left.”
Kuroo is shutting his notebook, “I’ll buy you lunch.”
“Bet.”
You’re trying to hide your laughter as you and Kuroo slowly pack up to leave. Now the only thing was to try and leave without making the biggest scene. You’ve successfully stood, only drawing small attention as you’re headed for the door. Kuroo seems to struggle, as he picks up his bag, it knocks against the empty desk next to him, drawing full attention to himself and you. It’s deadly silent, you’re frozen at the door and Kuroo is rushing to you.
“Go!” Kuroo pushes you out of the class.
“That was so embarrassing!” The laughter coming from you makes you run out of breath, “How are we supposed to go back to class on Tuesday?”
“Why were you just standing at the door!” Kuroo is yelling yet laughing at the same time.
You slap his arm, “You’re the one who decided to announce that we were leaving in the middle of the lecture. God, the professor probably hates us now.”
You’ve reached the small café in the business department, it doesn’t have a lot of options, mostly cold sandwiches and packaged snacks. The café drinks are way too expensive and even the water bottle is pricey; way to go education.
“Get whatever you like, I’m paying.” His words are smooth and for a second you believe him.
His body turns away from you, pretending as though he’s looking at the drink menu, you can clearly see that he’s checking his wallet. His shoulders visibly deflate and while you fake trying to pick something from the prepackaged area, you watch as he checks his account balance on his cell phone. His head seems to fall back irritatingly. It’s cute, he was trying so hard, but the world was being too cruel on him.
“Kuroo?” You call him. He’s slowly turning, hoping that he doesn’t have to take back his words. You wave him over to show the cheapest sandwich possible, “Want to split it with me?”
“You could get something better?” Kuroo tries looking at the other options, “What about a coffee?”
He was too sweet. You’re smiling, “Nah. I drank a lot last night so I don’t think coffee will sit well in my stomach and I’ve been meaning to go on a diet so if you take half my sandwich, it’ll be like I’m starting early.”
He’s still adamant on wanting to buy you something more expensive, “You could literally get this sub, it’s more filling and what do you mean diet, you’re literally perfect right now.”
A heavy blush appears on your cheeks, you slap his shoulder, pushing him by his back, “Just share a sandwich with me idiot.”
“But the sub.”
You’re kicking him in the ass, “Mention the sub one more time Kuroo, I swear to god I’ll leave you high and dry right now.”
You settle on seats by the window, you’re opening the packaged sandwich and in an attempt to stay cheap, Kuroo secretly stole cups while you distracted the cashier and he was grabbing water from the fountain.
“So.” Kuroo starts, “You haven’t read my application yet?”
You almost choke on your dry sandwich, “Must we talk about that now.”
Kuroo raises a finger, “You know what, I’ll just read it to you now.”
He was dead serious, pulling out his phone to bring up his pdf form. He was the absolute worst, yet it’s absolutely hilarious the way he fixes his clothing as if preparing for an interview.
“I’ll start with my letter of intent.”
You’re already giggling, trying to hide behind your sandwich.
“I am writing this to inform you of my interest for the position of Boyfriend. I have been highly interested in this position ever since you asked me for a pencil and then returned it back to me a week later, not realizing that you had given me a different pencil. I knew I liked you because of how cute you looked apologizing for not returning the pencil earlier.”
You never thought you could smile so wide before until this moment. Kuroo mimics your smile, looking back down to his phone.
“I don’t have a lot to offer but I can say with confidence that I can beat you at Mario Kart. I’ve been practicing and honing my skills for this moment; I heard that boyfriends need to be good at Mario Kart and if I am accepted for this position, please don’t fall for my best friend because he is better than me at Mario Kart.”
You snort, laughter emitting from your lips. You were on the verge of tears at how funny this application was.
“Lastly, we have similar taste in anime so obviously the 2d world also ships us.”
You hum at the last sentence, “Obviously.” You roll your eyes.
He sets his cell phone down, he’s finished his sandwich by now, practically inhaled it and he watches you eat your last bite. It’s a comfortable silence, really, maybe you were so caught up in the friendship that you had never gotten to think about him in a relationship sense.
“If you think about it.” He’s staring, “This is basically our first date.”
You choke on your water, coughing loudly and he finds your reaction funny. He’s patting your back and you feel so bad that you’re basically spitting on him.
“Kuroo.” You begin.
“Ah.” He knows where this is going. He waves a hand around, “You don’t have to give me an answer. Just.” He pauses, “Just consider me in the future.”
“Is that y/n I see?”
Your expression falters the moment you hear the voice of your biology lab partner, “Atsumu? What are you doing here? Did you get lost?”
Atsumu chuckles, a hand over his heart at your jab, “So hurtful. My brother’s taking some business classes, I had to drop something off for him.” Atsumu makes eye contact with Kuroo, “Hope I’m not interrupting something.”
That was a lie, you can tell. His cheeky grin says that he was absolutely hoping that he was interrupting something. Kuroo seems to not mind, at least from what you can tell. But in his mind, it’s the same as when he had seen Akaashi; a competitor. Especially when you’re trying to shrug Atsumu’s arm off your shoulder, Atsumu pinched your cheek causing a tick to grow on your forehead.
“Kuroo Tetsuro.” He puts a hand out.
Atsumu smirks, gripping the male’s hand, “Miya Atsumu.”
There’s a strong way that they grip each other, their faces are smiling, but their grip is testing the other.
“Well.” Atsumu has a hand on the back of your seat, “We have biology in about fifteen minutes, we should probably head over there.” Atsumu grins to Kuroo, “We’re partners, I was hoping you could show me again how to use the microliter pipettes.”
“Again?” You eye him.
Atsumu has his hands in the air defensively, “It’s just so confusing. The lab manual doesn’t describe it well.” You miss the way he smirks from behind you, “And besides, I learn better with hands on education.”
Kuroo returns the smirk, “Your hand must hurt having to grow up teaching yourself.”
The sharp inhale of laughter you take when you’re drinking causes the water to come out your nose. You’re laughing, coughing, and your nose is burning. Kuroo is handing you napkins and Atsumu’s jaw clenches.
“I’m sorry.” You put a hand on Atsumu’s shoulder, “but that was really funny.” You pat his cheek when he pouts, “Let’s go, I’ll show you how to use the pipette before lab starts.” You turn to Kuroo, “I’ll see you later.”
Kuroo gives you a smile, “I’ll message you.”
Atsumu frowns, even as he walks away with you, he looks over his shoulder, chin lifted, attempting to display dominance even until the last moment.

true love, almost always — jjk
Tumblr media
↳ aka — 'cause baby you're perfect for me
summary: y/n didn't know much about her soulmate. She knows that he's artistic from the little doodles that appears on her arm. She knows he's athletic from the scrapes that appears on her knees. She also knows that he has pain in the ass friends from the random dick drawings that appears on her forehead
genre: romance, angst, comedy, fluff
word count: 5.8 k
pairings:
Jungkook + reader | soulmates
warnings: so let me tell you, this is probably gonna be a bit inconsistent, I had written most of this during the middle of the night when I had a severe case of the feels. Now this isn't my usual style of writing, most things are in passive form because I'm trying to focus more on how they feel. I’m not sure if I’ll ever go back to this writing style but I had fun generally not worrying on the dialogue.
Tumblr media
Y/n didn't know much about her soulmate. In a system where everything marked on your soulmates skin crosses on yours, she knows from the seemingly many doodles that appears on the plan of her hand that he is an artistic person. She knows from the way her knees would appear scraped at times meant that he was either athletic or desperately clumsy. She knows that by the scar that daunted on her cheek that he got in a ’fight’ with his brother. She also knows from the random dick drawings that appear on her forehead that he has the most chaotic of friends.
Jungkook would like to say he knew a lot about his soulmate. He knows by the way tiny little hearts would appear near his doodles that she wasn't the most artsy person in the world, but she could draw a damn to near perfect heart. He knows by the way that small little freckles would gloss over his skin that she was an outgoing person. He knows by the way that shallow cuts would appear on his arms and fingers that she had an asshole cat. He also knows that by the way tiny reminders would appear on his palm that she had a knack for forgetting things (he also knows that her handwriting might be the cutest thing he'd ever seen, but he may be a little biased).
They're sober to the fact that the other exist by the time they're 11. Jungkook was bored in class and started drawing little clouds, trees, the sun with shades on, the whole package on his arm. And then on the expanse of his palm would appear in large curvy letters, 'can you draw a cat?'.
He thinks back to the day and guesses that he didn't really understand the extremity of the situation back then. Everyone had a soulmate, but it was the first time he'd actually 'talked' to his.
He didn't gasp or scream or shed a tear, only complying with her request and drawing a cute little cat next the tree trunk. He'd think he was hallucinating about the request until he watched as a ribbon was drawn and coloured in the middle of the cat's head.
The next week, he would have a fight with his brother that had ended in him getting a cut on his cheek. He doesn’t worry about it, only locking himself in his room and sulking in his sheets. It’s when a few words appeared on his palm that he finally sat up with a smile on his lips. She would write down if he was okay because a cut had appeared on her cheek.
‘I’m sorry’ he’d write.
‘it’s okay my daddy said I look cool’ she would reply, and his cheeks would flush because his mom had always said that a woman’s face was her pride. Jungkook had never understood it back then, because if he could be covered in dirt after a fun game of soccer, and still be called adorable, why should it matter what a girl’s face looked like?
She’d ask what happened and Jungkook would bite down an embarrassed whine. ’My brother said I played with the computer too much so I threw a pen at him’.
‘did you win?’ She’d ask a second later.
’No it hit the floor and bounced to my face’.
‘and then he laughed at me’
‘your brother sounds stupid’
‘he is stupid’
They didn't talk more than that, they were still young and the whole soulmates thing hadn't made sense yet. Jungkook still drew his doodles on his arm and she'd add little details (mostly hearts) around them, a tiny reminder that she was there.
It was barely considered a means of communication but it had morphed into a sense of comfort for Jungkook. He draws the little doodles, sometimes it was of a cat (He would never admit it but he'd learn how to draw a cat because he knew she liked cats). And each time without fail, she'd draw a tiny ribbon on its head.
And then Jungkook entered high-school and he met his friends. His stupid, chaotic, love them to death friends and his soul mate was still there, drawing little heart across his skin. The boys say its cheesy (as cheesy as it is to the fact that she's literally his soul mate) but he really hadn't given a shit.
He'd considered himself a romantic throughout the years, although he's gotten not a single bit of experience, he cries at the ending of titanic every single time and his ideal way of proposal is during the sunset walking across the shoreline of the beach, nightlights littered in the scenery and him on one knee, asking to marry his one and only soulmate.
He tries his best to keep up a mature kind of facade for his soul mate. Afterall, that was what they were into right? Older and more mature men. Sure, they'd like bad boys too, but honestly Jungkook bruises like a peach. His act of maturity consists of drawing thing with 'deeper meaning'. And yes, maybe a cat surfing on the beach tides has a deeper meaning, you never know.
His act is ruined when one day, he falls asleep during lunch after a long night of overwatch (in which he dominated by the way) and wakes up to Taehyung snickering beside him, looking at him with the largest shit eating grin he’d ever seen. Jungkook would shake his head and roll his eyes, dismissing whatever it was that he did.
Later during class, everyone kept giving him weird looks, and his teacher even laughed at the sight of him. It wasn’t until multiple frowney faces appeared on his arm that he really realized that something was wrong. His heart skipped a beat when he answered back with question marks written along her doodles.
‘there’s a dick drawing on my forehead :(’ she’d rely with the same curvy letters he’d gotten used to. And then there was a sound that had left his mouth. A mix between an angry scream and a surprised gasp with a little bit of an embarrassed groan. He’d then realize he was still in the middle of class and that every one of his classmates were staring at him.
His teacher would give him some sort of look between annoyed and amused, and finally asks ’so you finally realized huh?’. Jungkook would splutter on his words and immediately turn towards Jimin and Taehyung. It was barely a second before Jimin had shook his head and pointed at Taehyung. He would finally lift his hand off his mouth and bursts out laughing for a minute or two before outright choking, tears in his eyes.
That day, Jungkook along with Taehyung and (for some reason) Jimin would be sent to the discipline teacher. Jungkook wouldn’t give a shit about being sent to devil’s incarnate, only silently punching Taehyung’s shoulder and cussing it out at him for making him look like a fool to his soulmate.
When he’s home (after a lecture from his mom, a pat on the back from his dad and a high five from his brother), he locks himself in his bedroom and takes a pen from his bag, writing apologies all over his arm. She’d reply a minute later, saying it was okay.
His fingers would then drum along his arm, his leg jumping up and down, trying to figure out what else to say to her. He’d get up the courage and ask her what was her name. She’d respond with y/n and he’d have a smile riding up his lips, saying her name again and again, realizing that he loved how it felt to say her name.
Then the two of them would keep talking to each other, Jungkook constantly rolling up his sleeve to make some room for more words. They would spend the whole night getting to know each other and filling up a whole decade of silence. When they had run out of room to write, she would go on and ask for his number so they could text instead, and Jungkook would get up to his feet, jumping up and down on his heels. He wouldn’t waste a second to write down his number on the little space he had left.
The next day, he had woken up with an especially good mood. An extra jump on each of his step, a large grin on his face as if he hadn’t gotten into trouble for having a dick drawn on his forehead just the day before. Taehyung would expect a more than pissed of Jungkook, maybe a little bit of pettiness in the mix, but Jungkook shows nothing but adoration for him, even going as far as to buy him the apple juice he knows he loves from the convenience store nearby.
Texting her falls so easily in his routine. One second, he’s hesitant to text her, afraid to show her just how much of a dumbass he could be, another second, he’s called her the fifth time in a day because he swears a baby just gave him a nasty look. They connect quickly. She finds out the reason she suddenly gets eye bags after a full night’s sleep with because her idiot soulmate had spent the whole night screaming at wario for cheating at Mario kart.
Taehyung says it’s sickening to see just how lovey dovey Jungkook was (Jimin says it’s nice to see him so in love, but they both knew he secretly hated it too). The way his eyes light up at the sight of her name appearing on his screen.
He gets in trouble more nowadays though, teachers having caught him talking to his soulmate on his arm, and the most embarrassing time they read out his not-so-failed attempts of flirting off his arm to the whole class. Let’s just say he’d gotten teased for the life of him when it reached his brother’s ears (though he supposes his brother isn’t any better when he would literally be a make shift carpet if his soulmate asked for it). The Jeon boys treat their women like proper queens and won’t settle for anything less.
The first time they video call, Jungkook has fixed his hair for the hundredths time, a comfortable (and new that he bought just for this occasion) sweatshirt hung loosely on his shoulders. She’d asked if it was okay if they could do a video call the day before and Jungkook being as whipped as he was, of course agreed with her, only regretting not to be the one who asked first.
He’s so tense that when his phone starts ringing, he nearly chucks it off to the wall. He forces himself to calm down before setting it up on the table and pressing the green button after taking a deep breath. He looks at the screen and watches as her face appears. His heart almost bursts, because he’s thought of this moment a million times. He’d expect her to be something like a glowing figure, that she’d resemble a star and that her voice would sound like a serenading angel.
She’s nothing like he’d expect. She’s not glowing like an angel. Her camera has bad lighting and he could see a few strands of her hair sticking out. When she says hello, it isn’t like an angel, her voice isn’t smooth, a little raspy. But she still manages to surpass all his expectations, and he realizes she’s so much better than he’d ever imagined. His heart beats faster and faster because she’s only said one word, and Jungkook is already falling for her. She’s not perfect, but she’s perfect for him.
It’s going well, very well. There’s a way that she makes him feel, a way that just brightens up his day, and when they have their video calls and she laughs at one of those lame jokes that he’d gotten from one of his friends, her voice just soothes him, lets him relax into his seat and just watch as her eyes crinkle in joy.
It starts to become a routine, the video calls are weekly but the texting is daily. Whenever he’s nervous about an upcoming exam, he calls her and just listens to her talk about her day, lets her voice fill his ear and calm his nerves. And then she would get off track and asks why is it that he had called her and he’d brush it off, he called to hear her voice, but he won’t say that because it’s too cheesy and he has a reputation to keep.
It’s during one of his classes that he feels it, a gut wrenching feeling deep in his stomach that has him groaning. It’s a different type of pain, nothing like nausea or a muscle cramp, because he’d always considered himself as a person with a great pain tolerance, but at that moment, he had just felt like curling in a ball and crying. Jimin and Taehyung would take him to the clinic immediately, and he’d just have tears rolling down his cheeks, and he’s sniffling and making these weird choking sounds when he tries to smother down his sobs.
He stays there for a while, the curtains draped closed with Jimin and Taehyung just rubbing his back soothingly. He tries to calm down, but every so and then, a sob bubbles up to his chest and a new wave of tear roll down his cheeks. It stays like that for an hour and the pain in his stomach travels up to his chest. His right arm starts to ache and dizziness starts to seep in his head. He falls asleep in the clinic bed, his whimpers slowing down and his eyes drooping heavily.
When he’s back at home, he doesn’t try to talk to his parents. They’d come visit now and then, giving a few hugs and pats on the back. His brother would come by when Jungkook had calmed down a bit, ruffling his hair and saying ‘it’s going to be okay’. But that’s the thing, there isn’t an ‘it’ to be okay. For all he knew, ‘it’ was all okay, everything was going okay in class, but then there was this rush of emotion that came over him and he’d just double over in pain. There was this burning sensation in his gut, something that hadn’t been building but more of an eruption. And then it would slowly cascade to his chest, and then he’d start crying and crying, choking on his sobs.
He’s in his sheets, listening to the sounds of pans clanging from the downstairs kitchen. His mom was cooking dinner, but he doubted that he’d go down to have some himself. The sound of the washing machine clashing against itself. That old thing was always just waiting to give out. The sound of the TV running from the living room. There was always some sort of game his dad would be watching, cheering on for teams he’d never even heard of. These are all sounds he’d never realized he’d taken comfort into. Such meaningless things that were just always there, a consistency that had always reassured him in some way.
He’d just lays there, listening to his own heartbeat. For the first time in hours, he feels relaxed and his breath relax into a steady pace. His eyes almost drift to sleep, because It's been a long day and Jungkook feels exhausted, but then there’s this loud blaring noise that breaks the silence. He knows what it is, someone had gone up and called him again. It would be the sixth call he’d get from his friends.
Only it turns out that it wasn’t his friends, it wasn’t Jimin, nor Taehyung or even Yoongi. It was her, and it terrified him because he’d always smile at the sight of her name, but there was this raw and intense feeling that had him wanting to decline the call. It terrified him because she’s his soulmate and supposedly the ’love of his life’ but he had wanted nothing more than to hang up the call. And it just stays like that, him wallowing in the fact as his phone had stopped ringing, and then a few seconds pass and her name appears again. His arm would suddenly feel heavy at the weight of the phone in his hand. Slowly, he would finally tap on the green button.
Her voice hits him like a wave. Jungkook doesn’t even have the chance to say anything when her voice starts filling his ears. Her voice is raspy and broken, there’s sniffling and whimpering as she rushes through her words. ’I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry’ she whispers in uneven breathes, and he would have stopped her, to comfort her and ask her why she was crying and that ’it’ was going to be okay. But then there is this sudden realization that hits him that ’it’ wasn’t going to be okay, and he probably wasn’t going to be okay. So, he just sits there as new tears roll down his cheeks.
When she finally speaks, everything just dawns on him. He felt like he was dying because his soulmate had kissed someone, he felt like dying because his soulmate had kissed someone that wasn’t him, he felt like dying because his soulmate’s first kiss wasn’t him, and will never be him. And then all of her other words just go straight through his other ear. He doesn’t hear it when she says that she didn’t want it, or when she says that she didn’t know it was going to happen until it happened, or when she says that she also felt the pain, the suffocating and unrelenting pain, that she also felt like she was dying.
He hears it when she says she loves him.
Jungkook has always one for cheesy romances and tear-jerking speeches. He imagines their first exchanges of ‘I love you’ to be at night, with a sea of stars sunken in the night sky because that was where they would have their first kiss. She would have his jacket that was a little too big for her on her shoulders because the night was breezy and his mom raised him to be a gentle man. Her hands would be in his because she always has cold hands and he always has warm hands.
He would talk about the ‘old times’ like when he had drawn those little cats for her or when he’d waken up to many frowney faces along his arm because his friends yet again drew dicks on his forehead (he should really get some proper sleep). And then he’d try to coax a few tears out of her and end it off with ’I love you’, and because this was Jungkook’s imagination of how things would go, she would also say I love you, and they’d kiss in the night sky.
Jungkook then realizes that nothing he’d imagined will ever go as planned, that they will never have a first kiss, because she’d already had hers with some random asshole, and that they’d never have their first ‘I love you’, because she had already said it through the phone while they were both out of breath and sobbing every drop of tear from their bodies.
He doesn’t realize it, but when he’d finally gotten out of his phase, the call had already ended and his cheeks had become tear stained and his sobs had calmed down to weak whimpers. He realizes that he’d just hung up on her after she’d said she loved him, and he just panics, because she’s going to think he doesn't love her and he should immediately call her and tell her that he loves her, because he does, he loves her like he’d never loved anyone before.
He’d started talking to her in his sophomore years and he was now a senior, and she'd been there in every step of the way. But he just doesn't, he doesn’t tell her he loves her, he doesn’t call her, because he doesn’t trust himself if he does. And she doesn’t call back either.
There are a few times when Jungkook forgets that y/n is his soulmate. He doesn’t know what he’d expect when he doesn’t talk to her in a week. It starts off small. He catches himself dozing off, looking into the distance and zoning out. His friends would ask him if he was okay and he’d reply with ’I’m fine’, even though he knew he wasn't, and that he knew they wouldn’t believe him anyway, because who the hell would be fine yet walk into the classroom with puffy and bloodshot eyes.
And then when class goes on like normal, he’s moving his leg up and down, fingers drumming along the desk, because he swears class had never been this long before. He realizes later that class had always gone on so fast because y/n was always there for him to talk to. He looks back at it as if it had happened years ago, as if he hadn’t talked to her in decades.
The truth is that they haven’t talked in no less than three days, yet he’s been missing her as if he’d gone days without a limb. A piece of him feels missing, torn apart from him and left out to dry. It’s a weird feeling, a suffocating feeling that has him yearning for her, that has him filling his mind with nothing but her. He supposes that was the thing with soulmates, when they were together, it had felt like he was he was over the moon, as if nothing could ever go wrong in his life, but when they were apart, it felt like he was missing a part of himself.
She would nag at him whenever he was bombarding her with doodles on his arm, waiting for her attention so she could drag him from his boredom of class. She’d say ‘you have class’ and he’d say ’I also have a soulmate, and I’d rather pay attention to her’. His friends would tease for it, for flirting and dancing around with her as if it was a game of push and pull, as if she wasn’t his soulmate.
That’s the thing that terrifies him, because as far as he had ever known, having a soulmate was the best feeling in the world. It’s all rainbows and roses, because it had meant that there will always be that one person that just gets you, that just loves you unconditionally for all your flaws and perfections, all your quirks and mishaps. That one person that will always be there for every step of the way. He yearns that, the comfort of knowing there was someone the universe had picked just for him, the missing piece to his puzzle.
And then he meets her, and he realizes just how perfect she is for him.
And then the whole fiasco happens and he realizes just how much it would hurt if he didn’t get his happy ending, because he knows it wasn’t uncommon for soulmates not to work out, usually from the intensity of their emotions for each other.
Having a soulmate had also meant other things. It meant that when you were together, you’d feel the happiest you’d ever be, but if you weren’t, you’d dread every second of your life. You’d feel pain, you’d feel nauseous, you’d feel your body start to crumble. Having a soulmate was almost like a drug, something so addicting that your body starts to dysfunction when you go a day without.
Jungkook still feels it sometimes, when he’s managed to get her out of his mind. There was this sudden jolt of pain that shoot up his chest, causing him to lose focus. And then all he can think about is her, her, her. He wonders if she feels it too, if she misses him too, if she thinks of him too. He realizes how stupid he is, because his phone is right there in front him, and he could end all of this with just one button.
Truth is he’d stopped mulling over the whole kiss thing a while ago, and that he should’ve called her a long time ago, but he was scared, scared of his own emotions, scared of how much he loved her, scared that this whole thing is going to destroy to him.
He wants to talk about this with someone, to anyone, but then it dawns on him that the only person he really wants to talk to about this was his soulmate, and that she was the only person he should be talking to about this. So, he picks up his phone and presses on the name he’d been missing for what felt like decades now.
She answers after no less than a few seconds. She speaks after a second’s hesitation, and her voice is filled with the sort of hope, as if she has done something wrong. Jungkook cuts her off when she starts on her little ramble (a habit he’d learn she had over the years) and apologizes, two words that hits her as hard as a brick. ‘I’m sorry’ he’d say again, and again and again. He says it until he can hear her start crying on the other end of the call. He knows she’s crying in a way that she’s trying to hide it from him, but he’d still hear her weak sniffles and whimpers.
It breaks his heart because he knows he never should’ve hung up on her that day, that he should’ve said that it was never her fault that ‘it’ happened, that he never thought of ‘it’ as her fault, that he was sorry ‘it’ had to happened in the first place
There’s a lot of things he realizes that he should have told her, so he doesn’t give her the time to say anything before he gets everything off his chest. He tells her everything. He tells her that he had never been upset with her, that he was upset with what happened to her. He tells her that hes scared, no— terrified of how strong his feeling are for her, that the pain he felt that day was never what he’d ever experienced before. He tells her how much he had missed her during his period of stupidity when he decided not to talk to her, that he’d thought of her every second of the day.
And she just swallows in everything he tells her, listening to every word he says without a single interruption. And then they talk, talk, and talk until they shed more tears, because they’d never realized it, but they had always needed this. It’s a bit like clearing the air, speaking up about every and any hesitations they’d have.
They talk until their voices go dry and their eyes droop heavily. It isn’t until then that Jungkook realizes he hadn’t had a good night’s rest in days. Sleeping had always come easy to him, but during the past few days, he would lay down in his bed and just had this queasy and tense feeling.
When they’re nearing the end of the conversation, he knows there’s this one thing he hadn’t said yet, and he knows she’d been waiting for it too, those three simple words that had meant everything to them. He wants to say it, but there’s this one nerve in his stomach that causes his throat to close up when he tries to.
She finally ends the call after hours and hours of talking about their feeling and what they’d miss. Jungkook would again take out his pen, and write the words he’d meant to say in the palm of his hand. I love you.
Jimin shares a look with Taehyung when Jungkook comes to class the next day (he’s always late and it’s definitely not because of his poor excuse of a sleeping schedule), and the next thing he knows, they’re just screaming and hollering before running towards him. Jungkook swears he’s never felt more scared than he was at that moment, with the sight of his two best friends sprinting as if they were about to run them over like the untimely death of Mufasa.
And then they just hug him, stuff him with pats on the back and intense noogies. Jungkook just stands there, accepting it with the most confused expression ever. They go on about how glad they are that he got over whatever it was that had set him in such a sour and glum mood the past week and it puzzles him because he doesn’t remember being that much of a debbie downer.
They prove him otherwise by listing all the reasons he was such a pain to hang out with, because he’d somehow turned into a dictionary of depressing jokes and emo quotes. They end up finishing each other’s sentences, locking eyes when they say the same words and giving each other a bunch of high fives (Jungkook sometimes feels sorry for whoever their soulmates are, because the two of them are so in sync that they were already each other’s soulmate).
They’re interrupted when the teacher finally enters the class and tells everyone (specifically the two of them) to take a seat. They turn to Jungkook one final time and give him a pat in the back because they’re genuinely happy that the kid had no longer seemed so miserable.
Jungkook hadn’t thought hearing ‘I love you’ would change much for him. He’d heard it a dozen times from his parents (never from his brother, but let’s be honest, that’s to be expected) an amount more than you’d expect from Jimin and Taehyung (although Taehyung would say it more to annoy him and it works every single time), three times from Namjoon (which makes him grin more than it should) and once from Yoongi (now that one he wears like a golden medal).
Hearing it from his soulmate hits him in a totally different way. The conversation they had led them to get more comfortable in their relationships, this time acknowledging each other in a more romantic way. The way she says ‘I love you’ during insignificant moments like during a goodnight text or his after his daily ramble on how his friends are a pain in the ass sends him in a sort of high. It makes him giggle and flush and swoon all in the same time. It makes him feel things in a way he never knew he could.
Jungkook would learn that he shouldn’t plan things out as much as he used to, lets himself enjoy the moment for a while. Takes one step at a time, and this time he’s not as terrified to his wits anymore. It turns out when he's not worrying about all of his 'plans', time happens to move so fast.
When he finally sees her, she's got her back turned towards him, she hasn't noticed yet.
Jungkook takes a moment to take it all in. Sparks don’t fly, his hands don’t sweat and his breathing doesn’t pace. There is no nausea or nervousness that bubbles up in his stomach. When he sees her, his heart starts beating faster, but it beats in a way that you see something familiar after a long time, there is this sort of comfortable feeling. There’s a moment of complete peacefulness and serenity when he sees her. He’d never felt more at home.
When she sees him, her knees almost buckle, because he’s there. The boy, the dumbass, her soulmate that she’d been talking to for years now is finally there, and he’s waiting for her, looking for her. Her eyes almost well up in tears and she hates it because she swore to herself, she’d done cried enough times in their relationship, she doesn’t need to add another one to it.
She cries anyways, and she guesses she doesn’t hate it that much after all. Jungkook had managed to overturn all her expectations of their relationship that she’s not surprised that he pulls this either. She’s always known that her forgetfulness would bite her in the ass one day and she guesses she can’t be mad when this happens.
‘4:30 java time café pick up’ and right below on her palm is his handwriting, the handwriting she’s grown to adore and look forward to all these years, is written ’I found you’.

Miruko, hawks, and bakugo with an s/o that’s a major flirt?
hello, anon! thank you for requestingggg~ i'm sorry for the long wait ;;;;
Tumblr media
Miruko
you bet your ass she'd flirt right back. 100% guaranteed.
we know miruko is a cheeky person all throughout, and would not miss a beat with her snarky comebacks
and you on the other hand would be spurting out flirty statements here and there as if it was the simplest thing to do for you.
which it is.
which means she's also subject to your flirting mhmmmm
so you could say she enjOYS your flirtation and basks in it everytime. she feels like a queen when you give her attention like that, she feels special.
she loves it when you give her pet names. not because she's a rabbit, but i feel like she's the type to be calling people pet names normally.
even though you call people nicknames like "sweetheart" or "darling" she won't feel jealous when you give her one.
because hers is special uwu
when you called her bunny, she had it coming because, well, she is a rabbit. except the way it rolled off of your tongue made her weak in the knees and almost double over on the floor.
even though the nickname was pretty obvious, it's not like you called your cat workmate "kitty" or "kitten" ;((( so she KNOWS hers is special
everytime you'd visit her hero office, you'd always come up to her. it's like the first thing you do. and every single visit, you would be
"hey, bunny. i hope you didn't miss me too much."
with your voice dripping honey and sounding so tempting but she has work to do, you silly.
you can't be all up in her business like that, unless you wanted some sort of special treatment later when she's finished.
Tumblr media
Hawks
he's cheeky but NOT flirty. at least not trying to be.
his natural playful and sort of egoistic personality is what makes your conversation flow so easily
not to mention he's trendy and hip like that. JK. oh god why did i type that.
he's good with his words, and for some reason they're always getting to you so you get a bit tongue-tied talking to him
so you figured if you wanted to flirt with him you have to put your body in it. god why do i sound like a choreographer dAMN IT.
but no shit, he loves your body and will always be caught admiring it from afar. he's a sneaky lil birb.
sometimes he would use his feathers to spy watch you from afar and you won't notice
there would be times you'd be completely oblivious to his little game and act normally
you'd wink to your subordinates here and there, brush someone's arms slightly while conversing with them
all of which are normal for u
except when you find a lone red feather floating close by, you'd alter the sway in your hips a little bit, the occasional flips of your hair, maybe speak in a different tone than usual
because you know he sees you, hears you, feels you with the feather he sent to watch you
and it fills you both with pride
because he sent his feathers for you, and you're doing all of that for him
GOD DAMN IT
he will fly to you and wrap you in his arms and take you somewhere far and only you two know
Tumblr media
Bakugou
this might be longer than the other two i'm soRRY
this big tiddie boy ain't flirty and we all know that
he doesnt like people getting under his skin, it makes him cringe and want to blow up said person to bits
but when YOU do it
it's different
you like calling people out, that's how you flirt. you mostly do it with denki and mina because you know they're going to do the same thing back without making everything weird
with denki you'd occasionally be like "denki you look like shit, but it's kinda cute" and he'd be like "aw, i didn't know you have a thing for that kinda things."
wHICH ALWAYS GETS EVERYONE because why and how and what
which means it annoys bakugou TO NO END because why the fuck and how the fuck and what the actual fuck, you dumbass
bakugou: WHY HIM AND NOT ME
and you notice the shift in his behaviour towards you
he'd be a tad bit more agitated when you're all up in denki or mina's face
so you decide to flirt with him, but differently. like you're actually exclusively flirting with him
"damn bakugou, didn't know you have a nice ass" when he happened to properly pull up his uniform pants
"shut it, hot stuff, or i'll shut you up myself" when he trashtalked you during one Mario Kart competition with the squad in your room
all of which earned confused stares from everyone because bakugou is literally frozen right there
looking red as a fucking chilli pepper right there
but he loves it. sooner or later he'd be all up in your face like that, too. after all, you two are just getting started.

This was fun to write! I hope you like it ❤️
“Come on, come on!” You were practically shouting through the apartment, “ugh I have to get back into first place.”
You didn’t even notice Bakugo come in with his hero costume. He gave a scowl at you as he watched you playing games on the TV.
“Can you stop playing those shitty video games? We got to go on patrol.” Bakugo’s words were filled with venom.
“Hey stupid, I need this to actually fight. You would know if you gave a fuck.” This was how your relationship was. Some might say it’s unhealthy, but you both know that this was banter. You weren’t serious, “Since they need us to work things quickly, I need to play Mario Kart. You go ahead of me. I’ll be done soon.”
“Whatever.” Bakugo said, “you better come.”
“Roger that!”
--
Bakugo finished the first round of his patrol. You were still nowhere to be seen. He got worried. Maybe you ran into a villain on your way here.
He decided to call your phone. It went to voice mail. Now he was getting really worried. Every round he made, he called you, but you didn’t answer.
“God damn it.”
He decided to run by your apartment to see if you were ok. You had to be ok.
When he ran up, he paced in the elevator. Once that got onto your floor, he quickly pulled out his keys to walk in on you still playing Mario Kart.
“What the fuck are you doing?” He screamed startling the fuck out of you.
“Oh shit,” you said, looking at your phone. Your alarm went off, but it was set on silent, “I’m so sorry Katsuki! I just thought I would finish the Grand Prix first before I went out.”
“We’re both going to get in trouble with our boss, shit for brains.” A term he used endearingly when he was upset, “Do you want to be a pro or not?”
“I do! Just my quirk needs me to play video games. I mean it’s a lot of fun, but I guess I get too absorbed into them.”
“Well, get your ass into your hero costume and meet me on patrol!”
“Yes sir!”
You eventually caught up to him to continue the patrol. Luckily nothing bad happened, but that doesn’t mean the both of you were out of the woods.
You got a call on your communicator from your boss, “(y/n), what the hell are you thinking? You were late to your post.”
“I know sir! I’m sorry. I just needed to prepare, and I lost track of time.”
“I don’t care that your quirk is Level Up and you need to play games. You miss your post again, I’ll have your ass.”
You closed it and sighed. How did he even know that you missed it?
“You ratted me out?” You sharply questioned Bakugo.
“Oi, you weren’t taking this seriously.”
“I am so taking it seriously. I ought to beat the shit out of you.”
“I’d like to see you try.”
You gave a joking kick to his ass and called it a day. He would more than make it up to you later.

Be Nice To Me 3
Tumblr media
Part 2.
*************************************************
Tumblr media
Pairing: Katsuki Bakugou x fem!Reader, Denki Kaminari x fem!Reader
Warnings: Eventual mature content, angst, hurt/comfort, love triangle, the reader is lowkey toxic, everything will be adressed in every episode (:
Chapter warning: Swearing but just a little bit of it. Kissing because this is still on fluff mode
Chapter: 3/? Yup still don't know
Synopsis: You're in love with your best friend Bakugou, and you're cofessing to him but things get a lot more complicated when Denki starts to treat you different *wink wink*
Word count: 2.2k
Author's note: Okay friends, this is a little longer but it's cute, and it has some interesting things that will be relevant to the story, so read carefully, aaaand I must warn this is a slowburn. Hope you like it
Chapter 3 My Oh My - Aqua
We both left the empty classroom and went directly to class 3A. Tenya saw us coming late and started rambling about how punctuality is key for heroes and how we as seniors should give example and just Tenya stuff.
The rest of the class went pretty fast, I was thinking about what Denki said, he sounded so serious when he said the gig stuff, maybe I was overthinking, he has always been nice with me, just nice, we are friends right?
All those years getting to know each other, being partners in crime, spending too many nights wide awake talking about our future, the amount of pressure being a “hero” meant, how at the end of the day we were still children risking our lives, he understood that better than most of our friends; some of his words were burned in my mind forever: “I love helping people, but sometimes I wonder who’s helping us?” “I’m afraid I’ll turn into a puppet of the hero commission, like Hawks did” “I’m afraid of losing myself in the process”; as far as I know I was the only one that knew this side of Kaminari, everyone else always thought of him as the dyslexic class clown, but there were so much more of him that only jokes and a funny face after using his quirk, such a complex mind, sometimes I wonder if he plays dumb on propose…
Thinking about Denki almost made me forgot how nervous I was for my date with Katsuki, but the ring of the bell that indicates the end of the class made me jump from my desk in excitement.
-Oi dumbass, see you in a while, be punctual- Bakugo said picking up his stuff and heading to the door without looking back at me.
------------
We talked about nothing in the way to the ramen restaurant, I wasn’t as nervous as I were on Monday and everything seemed to be going so smoothly, just as I thought, this was Bakugo Katsuki my best friend, the guy I was in love with, he had seen me covered in sweat and bruises from the hero training, had seen me cry over my failed math tests, he knew me, if he didn’t like me back I could deal with it, but this date definitely won’t ruin our friendship.
---------------------
-Don’t make me laugh when I’m eating, you idiot- Bakugo said between coughs from almost choking with his noodles
-I didn’t mean it, but it’s true my greatest fear are those wacky waving inflatable things they put in the cars sales, they scare the shit out of me- I said laughing and with a bit of embarrassment for telling this stupid thing to my crush, but he found it hilarious
-I’ve seen you take down villains with a single hand and without sweating a single drop, but your greatest fear is ridiculous Y/N-
That kinda sounded like a compliment, and knowing Katsuki it probably was, I couldn’t help but blush but if someone asked me it was the spiciness of the ramen.
-I’m also a little bit afraid of heights, not as I used to, but it makes me a little bit nervous thinking about falling to my inevitable death- I said slurping the last of the broth in my plate
-Heights? No way, that means we can’t go rock climbing because of a certain pussy- Said the ash blonde, finishing his ramen as well
-Why? Is Bakugo Katsuki planning on taking me on a road trip anytime soon? – Oh shit that sounded way more flirty than I had planned.
I turned bright red right after I said that and to my surprise the boy in front of me was just as red as I was, that’s it I just made Katsuki Bakugo blush, I can die a hero now. We were not looking at each other, not saying a single word, just awkwardly sitting in front of each other.
-I… I was joking ´Tsuki- I began but he interrupted me with
-Maybe I want to take you to a stupid road trip, what you’re going to do about it? You can chicken now and saving me seeing you cry in front of a rock, but that wouldn’t be very Y/N of you- Aaaaand just like that Bakugo’s back
-Let’s go, Draw, I still wanna kick your ass in Mario Kart before curfew and knowing you, you will want to play those claw things and get some weird weeb thing, like a figure of that loud anime guy you like, the one who plays Volleyball; and of course you will be wasting all your money in the process- This man knows me damn too well
I was about getting my money to pay but he stopped me
-I got this-
-But ‘Tsuki I invited you, I have to pay for it- I said but the waitress had already taken Katsukis money
-If you beat me at Mario Kart, I’ll let you pay me back, but if I win… Well we will see about that later- Bakugo said without looking at me
Was that flirting? Is Katsuki Bakugo flirting with me? Did he noticed this was a date and that’s why he wanted to pay? Nah, he’s probably doing it to bother me, but if anything made me bush a little.
-Oi, you coming or what? – I was so caught up in the emotion that I didn’t noticed he was already heading to the front door
We walked a couple of blocks to the arcade, it was still early in the afternoon, we had a couple of hours before our curfew and I was going to make the best of them.
--------
After the tenth time losing against him, I gave up.
-This is bullshit, I don’t know how but you’re cheating, there is no way I actually hit all those frigging banana peels, this game sucks, you suck- I said making an overdramatic mouth pout and crossing my arms on my chest.
I could hear Bakugos laughing on my side and when I turned to look at him, he had the most gorgeous look on his eyes, but when he noticed that I was looking at him he changed his expression.
-I told you so, you can’t beat me, but I’m a compassionate God, so I’ll let you choose the next game for you to lose in- His big smile was equally irritating as it was beautiful
Three games in and Bakugo was about to blow the whole arcade up, apparently, he can’t dance to save his life, so Dance Dance Revolution was the perfect game for me to choose. I was literally tearing up from laughter, he was so angry and upset.
-If you had spending more time with Mina and me you could have learned a couple of steps, but you had to go sleeping at eight like an old man-
-Have you seen this face? This is what a good sleep schedule does to your skin, but I guess you’ll never know about that-
-Oh god, is that a pimple? – I joked to make him even angrier, I leaned towards his face to mock him more -Oh he has a brother, and a whole family of angry little buds, this even looks like you-
He turned his head and his nose was almost an inch away from mine, his eyes locked with mines, we were so close that I could feel his breath, a little bit more and our lips would be touching, my mind was going blank, I suddenly forgot how to breathe, I thought that it was actually happening, I should close my eyes and go for it, I leant a bit closer, we were almost there…
-Y/N, we both know there is not a single pimple in this face- Said Bakugo moving his head back and creating some distance between us.
I felt my heart drop to the ground. He didn’t wanna kiss me, I probably made him uncomfortable being that close, I’m so stupid, I fucked up.
-There is the claw machine of the Volleyball dudes, and there is the owl one you like- Bakugo was trying to be a good friend to me, and as much as I appreciated it I was way too sad to even think about volleyball
After more than a half of my money spent, I was walking to the UA dorms with my Bokuto plushie and an ache in my heart. I couldn’t stop thinking about that moment, was I imagining everything? Was he not flirting with me? It felt so real, I wanted to cry, but that would only make things worse, I wasn’t looking at Bakugo for the first time since we’ve met. I couldn’t hold a conversation after that, I used the excuse of being too concentrated in winning the plushie, but now that we are walking side by side it feels weird not saying anything. Bakugo doesn’t seem to care, or even notice, he’s also very quiet, this feels way too awkward, I just want this night to be over and cry my heart out in my room. There is only a couple more blocks and this nightmare will end.
-Hey Y/N, wait- This is the first time I hear Bakugos voice since we started heading the dorms
I try to put my best “Everything is okay” face but I fail miserably when I see his face. I started to tear up and just hugged my plushie with my eyes fixed in the ground, I can’t see him in the face
-I’m sorry Katsuki, I wasn’t mean to put you in an uncomfortable situation, I wasn’t thinking and…-
I was grabbed so suddenly I dropped Bokuto
Before I realized his lips were pressed against my own. I was way too shocked to respond to his kiss, to my very first kiss. He pulled back, and a sigh left his lips.
-‘Tch, don’t apologise, I didn’t wanna kiss you in front of a bunch of losers- He said looking to his side, clearly avoiding my confused gaze
I didn’t hesitate, I grabbed his face and kissed him, trying to let him know how much I waited for that kiss. He quickly responded to it, for someone as strong and tough as him he was being gentle and caring, if this ain’t heaven, I dare God to come down and tell me this isn’t what glory feels like.
We kept the kiss, it became more and more passionate, he got closer to deepen the kiss, I could feel his arms around my waist, and I could taste the melon soda he had at the arcade in his lips. I opened my mouth just a little and I felt his tongue slowly brushing against mine. This was the pinnacle of happiness.
We broke the kiss with blushed cheeks and racing heartbeats. This was too much; my head was spinning and I almost cried tears of joy.
-I thought you didn’t wanna kiss me- I said with a broke voice
-I didn’t- His reply felt like a bucket of cold water
-What? You’re kidding, you kissed me- Knowing Bakugo he just said that to mess with me
-Y/N I didn’t want to kiss you, but not because of whatever stupid thing your mind its thinking right now-
-Then why? You can’t just kiss me and then tell me you didn’t mean it, you don’t like me? –
-I like you, a lot, and that is why this is getting way harder that it’s supposed to be, I’ve been dying to kiss you for a long long time Y/N, you had no idea how much I have fantasized with having you between my arms and telling you just how much I like your dumb pretty face, I like you, and don’t you ever doubt it-
-Then, why? –
-I’m going to become the no. 1 hero, and that means I have to try even harder than the rest of the losers in this and the other hero curses, that’s why I will be having internships abroad this semester, with the bests heroes not only in Japan but in the world. I have to be the best in everything, having a girlfriend will only be distracting and possibly a complete disaster because I will be a terrible boyfriend being that busy with hero training, and asking you to wait for me is selfish, even for me. I didn’t wanna kiss you and then leave for half a year, maybe even more, but then you looked at me with those stupid kitty eyes and I just…-
-You’re going away? And you didn’t told me? – Now I definitely started to cry
-Oi! You’re the first one to know I haven’t even told my mom yet –
-I’ll wait –
-What? No I.. –
-I said I’ll wait for you, Bakugo Katsuki I’ve been in love with you since we first meet, I’ve been waiting two years for this, this is just half a year, then we will have all the time in the world-
Now it was Bakugos time to shed a tear
-You don’t have to; I don’t want you to be waiting for me while I…-
My kiss didn’t let him finish what he was about to say, he was tearing, I was tearing, but it was beautiful.
-Six months and then you’ll be mine Katsuki, get it? –
-I don’t think this is a good idea, you dumbass-
-Maybe it isn’t, but what are you going to do? Stop me? - I replied and then we kissed one last time

ohoho my goodness okay so for the prompt thing I think it’s be cool if you wrote something about the batfam being absolute trash at board games because detective skills get you no where in candy land. Maybe they’re just playing among themselves and those who haven’t been in the vigilante business as long as the others are better at it or maybe they’re playing with the jla, that’s up to you! No pressure tho, I’d just like to see where you’d go with this. I hope you’re well!
Thanks for the prompt, it was certainly an interesting one to try and come up with scenarios for and I apologise that it’s taken so long to answer this!!
So this basically ended up being the batfam playing different board games and roasting each other, hope that’s okay because it may not be what you had in mind.
Hopefully you’ll enjoy it nonetheless! :D
“Well this is just unrealistic.” Tim comments scowling at the board on the floor in front of him.
Next to him Steph lets out a long groan and cradles her face in her hands in frustration. “It’s a board game Tim! It’s not supposed to be realistic.”
“You’re just mad because you guessed wrong and are now out of the game.” Harper laughs at him from her position opposite him. “Tim Drake, a sore loser, who knew?”
“I’m not a sore loser!” Tim almost yells back feeling himself get worked up in both anger and embarrassment. “This game is stupid.”
“Because you lost.”
“Because it’s unrealistic.”
“I would have thought this game was right up your street dude, but obviously not.” Duke says from Tim’s right, looking a bit despondent at this revelation. Tim sends him a glare, not appreciating his input in the conversation.
Duke isn’t fazed by it, he ignores the look and gestures at the board in front of them. “Cluedo is a detective game and you’re a detective, how did you get it wrong?”
To stop himself from lashing out at Duke, Tim forces himself to take a deep breath. He is getting ridiculously wound up over this stupid game and the others with their goading isn’t helping matters.
“You know why,” Steph remarks with a smirk, “because that giant ass brain of his over thought it all and since he over analysed it, he got it wrong.”
There’s moment of silence in the room after Steph stops talking. Tim huffs at her statement but finds that he really can’t argue against it because that’s probably exactly what happened.
Steph leans back onto her elbows so she’s sprawled out over the floor, “it’s just a game, there’s no need to get so defensive over it. It’s supposed to be a bit of fun with a little mystery involved.”
That elicits a snort from Harper. She gives the blonde a disbelieving side look. “Have you seen yourself when playing Mario Kart? I’ll be sure to use those exact words next time you’re putting a sailor to shame for the language you come out with when a blue shell hits you.”
Steph rolls her eyes. “I’m not that bad.”
“You totally rival Jason when it comes to mouthing off at Mario Kart Steph. Don’t deny it.” Tim says, contributing to the conversation. He’s pleased that the topic has moved away from him and onto Steph.
Steph opens her mouth to respond but Duke beats her to it. He waves his note pad around wildly. “As fun as it is to roast one another, there’s a game here still to be played.”
Grumbling underneath her breath Steph sits back up and the four of them continue with the game at hand, or at least the three others do. Tim had guessed wrong and now has to sit by to watch, but on the bright side he gets to judge all of their movements now knowing the truth.
-----------
The grimace that crosses his face is entirely instinctual as soon as he sees what box is placed down on the table. With a quick glance around he sees three other’s mirroring his look. Dick opens his mouth to make the comment of why the chosen game may not be wise but instead he shuts his mouth and keeps quiet. He figures they need to learn somehow, being told what to expect is different to actually experiencing it.
It’s currently a rare Sunday afternoon when a majority of the family is over at the Manor at the same time. It’s probably because of the weather that everyone has unintentionally gathered together in the media room, with it heavily raining no one really wants to go adventuring outside.
Dick finds himself surrounded by his younger siblings, some of the extended family they’ve adopted over time and Bruce himself. All of them now sitting around the table after deciding to play a board game together.
That probably should have been the first warning sign. Dick really ought to know better but he had been distracted by the feeling of having all of his family around for once when no one has been injured or the reason why they’re together being a life-threatening crisis.
The decision of what board game to play takes almost twenty minutes to decide. Even then they hadn’t actually decided what to play, it got decided that everyone would place a game of their choice into a hat and it would get chosen at random.
That’s when the worst one of the bunch got chosen. Dick could see the same look he was wearing appearing on his brother’s faces.
Monopoly. That’s the game that’s been decided.
“Is it safe to assume that today is the end of the batfamily?” Steph comments with a laugh.
Almost everyone around the table gives her an odd look and only a couple chuckle along with her. From past experiences when playing this game, Dick knows it’s not the falling out part that’s the issue, the main issue is that Bruce absolutely dominates the game every time. It’s no fun playing with his adoptive father, this is something he’s learnt the hard way. His brothers also had learnt this the hard way, that being the explanation behind the grimaces they all share.
“I would rather play literally anything else.” Tim states boldly looking around, though his eyes often flicker to Bruce.
The two seats to his right are occupied by a confused looking Duke and Cass. “Why? Monopoly’s not so bad, sure it’s long and can get tedious. We’ve played this game before.”
Tim sends him a pointed look but it’s Jason who speaks up from the opposite side of the table. “Yeah sure, but that’s because you haven’t played with Bruce before. You’ll come to despise this game by the end of today.”
“Father gets rather self-assertive when playing this particular game. While I admire his skills and efficiency of winning this so-called game, father tends to take the apparent competition away any time he plays.” Damian claims from his position on Jason’s left.
The youngest Wayne is now scowling at the box on the table with obvious resentment from past experiences.
If Duke looked confused before, now he seems utterly baffled.
“Oh I’m not that bad.” Bruce declares sounded offended. Dick knows him better however, he’s completely faking it. He knows exactly what he’s like with this game.
“Bruce will literally bankrupt everyone within like five rounds of this game.” Tim says glancing around.
Silence falls over them after that and it feels like everyone is deciding whether they should in fact play or not. Of course the earlier members of the family know exactly what’s in store for them if they do play but the newer members don’t.
In the end Steph stands up and grabs the box, clearly stating she doesn’t care and can they just get on with it because staring at one another isn’t getting them anywhere. As the board gets set up Dick shares a knowing, helpless look with his brothers. Well they have to learn at some point.
Three hours later, half of those around the table have their heads in their heads and were wearing disbelieving looks on their faces. It’s as funny as it is depressing.
“This is ridiculous,” Steph mutters glaring at the table, “this is so unfair.”
“Well, I’ll do the honours by saying; we told you so.” Tim gloats with a smirk at the blonde. Steph decidedly glares at Tim instead of the table.
Jason bark of laughter causes Dick to crack at grin at the various of reactions the family is having to Bruce’s domination of the game. The man is stacked with money, having nearly owned every property on the board and has practically bankrupted three quarters of them by now.
“This is why you don’t play Monopoly with Bruce. Hope you all learned your lesson now!” Dick laughs.
There’s a low groan from Duke who soon mumbles out, “Yeah just a bit….”
-----------
“Whoever decided this game can go to hell…” Tim mutters underneath his breath scowling at the paper in front of him.
Next to him Jason snorts. “You only say that because you know who chose this game.”
“My point still stands.”
“Enough.” Dick dejects in an attempt to stop an argument from happening. “Knock it off, we’ve all had our turns to choose and now it’s his turn.”
“But he can’t even play it right!” Tim whines, it’s like he’s a child throwing a tantrum.
“Y’know, no one is making you play.” Duke points out from his spot on the floor, his focus is on the paper in his hands as he continues to draw whatever he needs to.
Tim huffs and kicks his leg out, successfully knocking Duke off balance. Duke doesn’t rise to the bait, he simply grabs Tim’s ankle and shoves it away. “Real mature Tim.”
“Tim likes to complain when things aren’t going his way, he’s immature like that.” Steph comments with a laugh. Next to her Cass is smiling away as she nods her in agreement.
A group of them has gathered into the living room of Dick’s apartment on a slow evening and all have sprawled out across the place. Jason, Dick and Tim are sharing a sofa with Duke perched on a cushion by their feet on the floor. Steph and Cass were sprawled out on the second couch and Damian is adjacent to them all sitting in the love seat.
It’s been a recent between them all, having game nights and taking in turns to choose what is to be played. This time happens to be Damian’s turn and the youngest has chosen to play Pictionary.
It’s a good game, one that is generally enjoyed by the majority of the family, however, what Tim had been referring to, is that when playing with Damian, he tends to lose the point of the game. He takes every drawing too seriously and spends an unreasonable amount of time on each word.
Because it’s Damian, every drawing has to be perfect before he shows them or even hints at what he’s drawing. They’ve tried to explain to him multiple times that the drawings don’t have to be perfect, as long as they are recognisable then that’s all that matters, but the kid refuses to listen.
It can make playing with him very frustrating.
Him, Jason and Tim are used to it, but it seems like Duke and the girls are all taking it in stride. They only get through a couple rounds within like an hour thanks to Damian and it’s getting to the point where Dick is beginning to think that Damian is actually doing it on purpose because he can see how much it’s riling up Tim.
Brotherly love right there.
They’re just finishing off the third round and sharing their terribly drawn pictures with one another. Duke holds his piece of paper up with a sheepish smile, “I tried okay. It wasn’t easy.”
“What is that?” Damian demands as he squints at the mess of blue squiggles on the page.
“It’s supposed to be a sunrise, my word was morning but no one got it.”
“Tt, that’s not a surprise Thomas as that looks nothing like a morning, or a sunrise for that matter.”
“Well, jeeze, thanks Damian. I only had 60 seconds to come up with something and draw it.”
When Damian tuts in obvious displeasure, Dick simply rubs a hand over his face. That kid… he loves him, he does but sometimes he certainly makes it difficult to do so. While Duke is still new to the family, he’s been around long enough to get a feel for what Damian can be like. He simply rolls his eyes and turns the paper away.
“Cass what is that supposed to be?”
Jason’s question to Cass gets his attention, he looks in their direction to find Jason frowning at the piece of paper Cass is showing him. His sister shrugs not looking at all embarrassed with her attempts to draw whatever it’s supposed to be. Dick couldn’t work it out either. As far as he could tell it’s a solid colour of black on the page.
“An eclipse.”
Her answer makes Jason even more confused. “So you decided to colour the whole page black?”
“It creates a shadow…”
“Right.”
In the end Jason shakes his head and leans against the back of the sofa. His expression makes it clear that he’s simply done with everything tonight. Dick snorts at his behaviour before he feels a nudge on his left side.
Tim is looking at him with a raised eyebrow. “Don’t you just love game nights Dick? They’re great right?”
His voice is dripping with sarcasm and Dick restrains himself from commenting on it. He does love game nights with his siblings but they sure as hell make it a challenge sometimes. All of them do. Not one of them is innocent.
But as he looks around at the scene he knows he wouldn’t change it. While not all of them are currently present, game nights are an opportunity to hang out outside of the masks, any public personas they play and any emergencies that may be happening.
Dick leans back against the sofa and mumbles underneath his breath as he watches Duke and Damian bicker about the art of drawing under pressure and about how to play the game correctly. “I actually do, yeah.”

Leonardo x Reader Oneshot TMNT 2014/2016
Disclaimer: I own my love for fanfiction, nothing more. Enjoy!!
Tumblr media
"I don't trust you." To say those words didn't hurt would be a blatant lie. Standing in the lair with all four turtles around, you blinked, determined not to show any type of weakness. Leo's eyes were resolute after the statement, and the three other turtles grew quiet.
It started with Mikey's casual teasing. You were so used to it, so when he joked about Leo having a crush on you because he constantly gave you the cold shoulder, you laughed it off. Mikey's wasn't being serious. But apparently it struck a nerve with Leo.
"Leonardo." Splinter heard it all. You could see the way Leo's jaw was clenched, and all you wanted to do was punch him in his stupid leader face.
"Raph is right, you really are nothing but a jerk!" you pushed up your glasses, turning on your heels as you stormed off. You knew the moment you got back to your room you'd fall apart. But you could save a little face. You just needed to ensure you didn't fall apart in front of him. You wouldn't give him that power.
Leo's mistrust wasn't completely unwarranted. Your meeting with the turtles was fairly unique. It wasn't in an act of heroism. You had in fact tracked them down. Like Donatello, you were very good with computers. A master hacker. Because of your little hobby, it provided a lot of room for snooping. In middle school you hacked NASA, and they were none the wiser. By the beginning of high school, you were hooked up to every police scan and federal cases. Everything and anything that you wanted to know was right at your fingertips.
Being an orphan probably didn't help with your moral compass. As long as you knew it was always about seeking our own self interest. You were now a junior in high school. Being a New Yorker was pretty much the usual. Grumpy people, busy bodies. What wasn't ordinary was alien invasions. It alarmed you when there were metal boxes floating in the streets, panic throughout the city. What pissed you off was the fact that it was never addressed as to what really happened that day. The government provided some half assed excuse, and everyone just accepted it. Determined to get to the bottom of your newest interest, you'd stumbled upon something quite interesting.
A fellow hacker, almost as gifted as you. Not nearly as careful though. At the time you had no idea it was Donnie. You just followed the informational patterns that strangely aligned with all the unexplained incidents that occured in New York. Intrigued, you kept pushing, and even decided to confront the individuals that you were led to. Safe to say four giant mutant turtles were not what you were expecting. After nearly having a heart attack, you finally solved the mystery of the vigilantes.
A very unexpected development emerged from your discovery. You befriended them. Donatello was impressed at your technical skills, and you were even more with him. You were born with the genes basically, probably from your parents, but they were created. He adapted his intelligence all on his own, and to you that was astounding.
Months passed, and you found that being with the turtles and even assisting when you could, you felt like you were a part of something great. Something amazing. You were helping people with your gift, rather than using it for your own means of living. All in all, they seemed to like you. Even Raph who probably was the least trusting of strangers warmed up to you. The only one who held a general dislike for you was apparently Leo.
Since your meeting was a bit forced, he was weary of you. As time went by you thought that would fade. It wasn't like you would reveal their secret to anyone; they were your friends. At least that's how you saw them. Leo obviously didn't feel the same. Not that you cared. If he wanted to act like a douche then you would let him. If he thought those words would make you run he was wrong. You will be back first thing tomorrow. After you were done crying a little to day that was.
~The Next Day~
"Don't worry too much about Leo. Ya gotta give him time. " Raph nudged you on your seat on the couch as you were beating him in mario kart.
"I'm not worried. It's his fault if he wants to keep that giant stick up his ass." Raph laughed out loud and you joined, adjusting your glasses quickly so you didn't lose your spot on the course. Someone clearing their throat behind you made you drop the control. You didn't have to turn to know who it was. Raph was already standing, flipping over the couch.
He was probably there because it was about that time for them to go on patrol. Raph ruffled your hair with a grin. "See ya later kid, I'll be back to beat ya."
"Hah, maybe in your dreams!" Donatello rushed past, handing you a computer. "Thanks for the codes, the servers are moving a lot faster (Y/N)." you nod. "Sure thing Donnie, anything for a brother hacker." you showed him a peace sign smiling. Mikey was the last to join, swinging his nunchucks. "Who's ready to kick some criminal butt!" he said excitedly. Raph and Donnie just turned, not really acknowledging the younger turtle's antics. "Really? No one." he followed behind still trying to get a word from his brothers. Leo lingered there, and it took you a moment to realize he was staring at you.
You frowned. "Don't worry, I'm not going to burn down your home or anything, so you don't have to keep watch. " you stood, pushing your glasses up your nose, heading in the opposite direction. Leo knew he deserved the hostility. After the conversation with Splinter, he felt like he really understood nothing about his feelings.
~Flashback~
"Did they forget that she basically blackmailed us just to see who we were. Why am I the bad guy." He was more than a little frustrated. Even Raph was lecturing him on his statement that day. Raph of all people.
"Leonardo, she's young, just like you. I believe there is another reason you're conflicted about her."
"What do you mean?" He couldn't understand what Splinter was trying to say.
"Maybe you have learned to see her in another light. And it's difficult for you to understand. So your mind is telling you it's mistrust, but is that what you really feel?" His forehead creased in thought.
"What I really feel." He couldn't come up with a good answer. His encounters with you were never lengthy. He barely acknowledged you on most occasions. But when he did, he found that he was watching, or more like studying what you did. Your intelligence, humor, and those glasses that never seemed to stay perched up on your face. Leo's eyes grew wide.
"Sensei I..."
"You have feelings for her." Leo wanted to swallow his tongue. That couldn't be.
"There is nothing wrong with what you feel, however you need to be more careful with your words. (Y/N), despite her resilience is still very much a child. " Leo was still in a sense of shock. Splinter walked over, patting him on the shoulder. "I know you will find a way to make amends with her. Just be honest." he said nothing else, walking off with his hands folded behind his back.
"How am I supposed to do that." If you disliked him before, you definitely hated him now.
~Flashback end~
Leo released a heavy sigh. It would take a lot to take back those words. Right now, all he wanted was to let you know that he was wrong. It didn't matter if you detested him. He just needed to restore the trust he should have placed in you the moment he realized you cared for his family the same way he did.
~~~
"Mikey check out my costume!!" you were sporting a pikachu onesie. It was halloween after all, and you were more than excited to show off the cute yellow design.
"Pika pika~" you mimicked the sound your favorite Pokémon with a smile.
"You're so cute!" he gushed in a baby voice. You giggled, adjusting your glasses. The parade was about to start and you didn't want to miss it. Since this was one of the few days the turtles could roam around without suspicion, you were overjoyed. It was the first outing you had with them all together outside. You bounced on your feet when Donatello and Raph came from around the corner talking about training most likely. "Come on guys we need to get going!" you urged. Raph placed his hand on your pointed hoodie. "Alright hold ya horses. Leo's coming too." You puffed your cheeks at that.
"Great, the world's greatest killjoy is joining us." You really didn't want Leo's strict attitude on your night of fun.
"Speak of the devil." He was walking with his eyes in a book. When he saw everyone gathered his eyes raised. When they landed on you, he stopped completely. You knew it was stupid, but you blushed, because of the awe in his eyes as he looked at you. Your gaze moved down as you grabbed at the tail of your costume, fiddling with it. "Dummy, why is he looking at me like that!" Leo was the last person you wanted to make your heart beat that way. You weren't even wearing tight clothing either, so why the hell was he staring like you were the prettiest thing he'd ever seen. Leo willed himself to look away, placing his book down.
"She looks so cute." Of course he didn't say it out loud. Regaining his cool, he folded his arms.
"You guys ready."
"Yeah dude we were waiting for you." Mikey reached over picking you up, you were laughing the entire time.
"Onward soldiers!!" he shouted. Raph just tapped him on the head. "Dude!" Donnie rolled his eyes.
"If you guys start fighting Sensei won't let us go." he informed. Mikey made a zipping motion on his lips. Leo watched his brothers marching away with you. And a tinge of jealousy rushed through his body seeing how comfortable you seemed with Mikey.
~~~
Walking through the streets you took in all the creative costumes. Bands were marching, people cheering, bodies jumping and prancing to the music that blared through the speakers. Mikey was a little ways ahead, easily making friends in the crowd of people. He looked so happy. Raph and Donnie's eyes were also trained on Mikey. The content expressed on their faces was really indescribable. They usually gave him a hard time, and you knew it was just how brothers acted with each other. He was the youngest, and you were positive if anyone tried to hurt him, they would protect him in a heartbeat.
"Hey there, are you all alone cutie." you were so distracted that you didn't realize you got partially separated from the others. The male blocking your way annoyed you. Raph and the others were a short way up the street. If you could just get past this guy you could join them.
"Sorry but I'm with my friends. I've got to go." He moved closer to grab your hand, and you were about to recoil when a hand came down and pulled you backwards. You stumble into something firm, and when you look up, blue eyes are glaring at the man before you. "She's taken." the guy raised both his hands with a laugh. "Alright hulk no need to get mad. You should keep a better watch on your girl." He backed up, leaving, falling back into the crowd. When he was gone, those electric eyes moved in your direction. He was still holding unto you.
"T-Thank you Leo." you weren't much of a fighter, and you would hate it if the turtles first outing got ruined because you couldn't stay close. "Be more careful, guys like that are nothing but trouble. I'd hate it if you got hurt."
That was the nicest thing he'd ever really said to you.
Wait a minute.
"What did you mean I'm taken? " you raised a brow. Leo let you go, taking a step back.
"I was just..I didn't want him getting any ideas." He wouldn't look at you. "Sorry if I made you uncomfortable."
"N-No it's okay. I kinda figured as much." Why the hell were you disappointed at his answer. You should know better.
"By the way, you're costume it's..really nice." you flush, fixing your glasses.
"O-Oh! T-Thanks." You must have been dreaming. Another nice statement from Leo. What was the world coming to? The both of you stood there awkwardly for a while, neither sure what to do.
This was the longest conversation you had with Leo that didn't end up with animosity on either side. Your eyes caught his hand that was hanging, and you took it softly in your own. Leo looked up stunned. "S-So we don't get separated again." you clarified. Raph and the others were already a ways ahead. It would have been bad if you got into another little scuffle. So you started moving to them, keeping a soft grip on Leo's hand so he didn't fall behind. You kept your eyes forward, because you knew if you looked at him again, he'd figure out just how happy you were to hold his hand.
If only he knew how you felt.
~~~~
"Ugh! I hate these so much." you sighed heavily, massaging your eyelids. "What's the matter?" you almost jumped, startled by the concern in Leo's voice. Everyone else seemed taken in their own task. Mikey didn't even turn from his game at your small yell. "I-It's really nothing, just a code. It's been stressing me out for the last hour. "
 Leo took a seat next to you on the chair, turning you in his direction. You just watched him, waiting for whatever he was about to do. He smiled, reaching out and removing your glasses. You closed your eyes not really expecting the gesture. "You have to stop for a while and..." when his words started to trail off you were confused. "W-What's wrong?" He looked so dazed, it sort of alarmed you.
"It's nothing, it's just your eyes...they're beautiful." he muttered.
"Oh boy."
Since the Halloween party, Leo was being especially nice to you. Now that you thought about it, he'd been doing it way before that.
"You're beautiful.." He was very careful not to voice that, still, he could think it. Because it was true. To him you were breathtaking, his only regret was that he'd didn't figure out his feelings before. Maybe now it wouldn't have been so hard for him to be honest about how he felt.
Your eyes were staring in shock, your mouth slightly agape.
"Did you just...call me beautiful." Leo paused.
"W-What?"
"You said...you said that I'm beautiful." surely you didn't imagine those words coming from his mouth. What was really going on here. Of course you were overjoyed. But didn't he still not trust you? Why was he saying these things, looking at you the way he did. Leo stood in ample time, and before you could get another word in he was leaving hurriedly.
"I-I have to go." He didn't offer an explanation, just bolted like his life depended on it. You sat there, flustered and maybe even a little irritated.
"Why the heck is he pulling me in so many directions."
One day he's telling you to your face that he doesn't trust you, then the next he's looking out for you, complimenting you. It was driving you crazy.
"I hate boys." you groaned.
~~~~
The soft knock on his door had his eyes lifting. He stopped momentarily attending to his bonsai tree. When the door opened, his heart staggered for a fleeting second. You walked in, shutting it. Your hands were behind your back, and you could barely hold eye contact with him. Leo wasn't much better. He placed down the small clippers, shifting on his feet. "Is there something wrong?" he asked, concerned about the surprise visit.
"Y-Yes actually." you needed to get a handle on whatever this crazy thing was between the both of you.
"Why have you been acting so weird with me. I know the both of us we've never really been on the best terms. And I guess I don't help that much. But you're the same. You say things to me to piss me off and I get so agitated! " You were shouting, and Leo's head lowered.
"Then you act so sweet and kind out of nowhere and it completely messes me up because I can't read you at all. Do you hate me or not!"
"I could never hate you (Y/N)." That simple statement the way he said it, the look on his face. It struck you right in the heart.
"Why do you do that.." you lips quivered, and you took a step forward, Leo didn't expect to see the tears that were gathering in your eyes.
"Stop giving me hope and then tearing it from me. Y-You have no idea how I feel about you.." Damn it, your intention was never to break down in front of him. Leo clenched his fists, and you raised your hands to wipe away your tears. When you heard him walking towards you, everything in your body stilled. Leo's hand rested on your cheek, and you opened your mouth to say more, but Leo stole whatever words you had prepared. Standing there wide eyed, you could barely believe the feeling of his lips pressed softly to your own. Because of the height difference. He had to lean down slightly. When he pulled back, his eyes flickered open. The glow of his eyes were somewhat surreal.
"I should have never said that to you (Y/N). That day..I was stupid. Long before I had feelings for you. I guess I was just too scared to admit how I felt, so I kept my distance, and created excuses to keep it that way. I'm so sorry that I made you feel like you weren't welcomed. You're just as much a part of this family as April and Vern. "
"Leo.." so the entire time he cared about you, the same way you did for him. He just didn't want to accept it. Maybe he was terrified you wouldn't see him the same.
"Dummy." you mutter. Leo smiled at that, scratching his neck. "I have been an idiot. As a leader I should have understood better."
"Maybe you should stop expecting yourself to constantly know the answer for everything Leo. Somethings just aren't that logical." He knew that, now.
"There's still so much I need to learn. Will you help me?" you blushed, trying to hide it.
"S-Sure. I am a genius after all." you boasted, nudging your glasses.
"Yes you are." you gazed at him, nibbling on your lower lip.
"Leo..that kiss.."
"I'm sorry! That was definitely not okay. I think I just..reacted." You could tell he was still a bit unnerved by it all. He still wasn't completely sure of your feelings.
"I kind of liked it." you mumble. Leo is still, processing your words. When he takes a step forward, you can't stop the quickening of your heart beat.
"Can I kiss you again?" The fact that he asks permission this time causes your heart to do flips. He's standing right in front of you, and his eyes have already zeroed in on your lips. You stop nibbling on your lips when you feel his warm palm on your cheek. He doesn't make another move, waiting for an answer. When words fail, you simply give a small nod. Leo smiles warmly, that all he needs.
He lowers to meet your lips, and as he does, his forehead lightly taps your glasses. You flush in embarrassment, and Leo just chuckles. "Have I ever told you that you're absolutely adorable in glasses." The comment makes your cheeks darken even more, and as you think of a reply, Leo banishes any chance of you forming coherent thoughts. His lips are so soft. And the way he's holding your face in his palms, it makes you want to melt on the spot. Every movement is gentle and almost calculated.
The right amount of pressure and passion. How does he know to kiss so well? It shocks you, the expert way his lips are clashing with yours. It's possible he's seen one to many movies, and like the prodigy he is, the skill was something he picked up quickly. "Leo.." You can't do much but submit to him, and this time. This time there is no doubt in your mind. Because you finally know  his feelings, and he's aware of yours as well. When he picks you up bridal style, you're a bit taken by surprise, separating for a brief moment. As you do so, his eyes are a lot closer, and you can see everything. All his fears, wants, struggles, desires...
It's enough to overwhelm your heart. But you aren't afraid. Not at all. Because this is Leo. He may be terrible at voicing his feelings, but you know for a fact that he won't hurt you. Not at all. His blue bandana does wonders to highlight the similar glow of his eyes.
You can't look away, and you don't want to. Your hand presses to the center of his chest, and right beneath your palm you feel it. The insistent strumming. The look in your eyes changes to one of surprise, and he immediately knows why. "It's...harder for me to hide it when you're so close." This entire time he's been acting so confident and in control. Yet, he's just as smitten as you, Maybe ever more. You grin at that. "You don't have to." You reach up, reclaiming his lips, and nothing in the world seems sweeter than the taste of Leo's lips. And you know for a fact, nothing ever will.

Just Friends - Colton Parayko (5 +1)
Inspired by the song of the same name by the Jonas Brothers.
You met Colton at a SLU baseball game and hit it off. He wasn’t like the guys who played hockey for the University. He wasn’t anything like how hockey players were usually depicted. He was sweet and he was on the shy side. And you guys hit it off.
And Colton quickly became the best guy friend you had ever had. And so what if no one believed you when you said that you two were just friends.
1.Joel Edmundson
You had no idea that you lived in the same building as Joel until you ran into Colton in the lobby on a day that you two did not have plans.
“Eds lives a couple floors below you,” Colton had replied when you asked what he was doing there, worried that you had forgotten something.
“Why?” you asked.
It was a valid question. Your apartment building wasn’t exactly nice. It wasn’t rundown or anything, but it was student housing and if it wasn’t so close to campus, you probably wouldn’t be living there.
“I try not to think about Eddy’s motivation for anything,” Colton chuckled, “but my guess would be the proximity to the arena, bars, and college girls.”
You laughed but were cut off from replying when Joel popped his head around the corner from the stairwell.
“Parry,” Joel narrowed his eyes in mock disappointment, “stop flirting with your girlfriend and get your ass upstairs. Binner is kicking mine and Fabs butts at Mario Kart and I need you there so I can beat someone.”
“She’s not my girlfriend,” Colton corrected with an eye roll, both of you way too used to saying those words.
You laughed at the look Joel gave Colton in response and shook your head before saying, “I have to get to class. I’ll see you later.”
“We’re still on for Saturday?” Colton asked, already backing up toward the stairs - although not quick enough for Joel’s taste because the brunette was practically bouncing in place.
“Maybe? Probably,” you replied, “I have a paper, but I should be done with it in plenty of time before the movie.”
“Okay,” Colton grinned, “just let me know if that changes.”
You smiled at him one more time before laughing as Joel jumped on Colton’s back and made him carry him upstairs.
2.Your Roommate
Your roommate was your anchor. Had been since you met in your first pre-law class. You guys made it through all the ups and downs of pre-law and all the highs and lows of law school.
Currently, you were both deep in one of the lows. Clare was reviewing what seemed like every book on Constitutional Law that the SLU Law library had for anything that she could bring to her clerkship on Friday - when the judge would be having one of his last sit downs with her.
And you were trying to make sure all of your reviews and case notes were in order on your server. The firm you had been interning with worked asylum cases and you had just completed the casework for the last of your assigned clients and just needed your supervisor to do the final review. The firm itself would be doing the actual arguing of the case, but you had done the leg work - and realized you were more fluent in Spanish than you initially thought you were.
Between all that, you were both trying to study for the Bar. And you wanted to kill whoever said that the last year of Law School was the easiest. You had never been more stressed in your life. You also hadn’t eaten since breakfast and it was nearing 7pm and there was no way you were leaving the library. Because if you left, there was no way you were going back.
“Why the fuck doesn’t the cafe sell actual food?” you muttered, pulling one of the many Human Rights books toward you.
“Better question,” Clare muttered around the highlighter in her mouth, “why does it close at six?”
You nodded in agreement.
“Pizza delivery,” one of the undergrads who worked the front desk was standing there nervously.
You didn’t blame the guy. Apparently the other night one of them made the mistake of asking a Second Year Law Student preparing for moot court to leave because the library was closing and ended up running away terrified and maybe crying a little. It was a bad time of year to be approaching law students.
You gave what you hoped was an encouraging smile and showed your ID when asked as Clare attempted to clear a spot of the box.
You thanked the kid as he handed over the box and your eyes caught on a note.
“Hey, I know you’ve been super busy lately and I know you haven’t eaten much today. I got a large because I figured Clare would be with you and even if she wasn’t there would still be leftovers for her. Drink water and try to get a solid eight hours of sleep. Love, Colton.”
You smiled down at the note, snapping a picture of it and sending Colton a thank you text.
“Tell your boyfriend ‘thank you’ for me,” Clare said, grabbing a piece of the sausage and bacon pizza.
“He’s not my boyfriend,” you replied.
“Oh, honey,” Clare sighed, shaking her head and giving you a variation of the pitying look she gave to men who thought they were worth her time.
You waited for her to continue but she just shoved the rest of her pizza square in her mouth and reached for a second one.
3.Brayden Schenn
It wasn’t unusual for Colton to bring you along to smaller team events, especially when you desperately needed a distraction from school. You smiled as he took your coat after you entered Brayden’s house, the sounds of the Saski trio bickering filtering down the hall from the kitchen.
Colton let out a sigh and shook his head, “They’ve been having this argument since practice.”
“Parry!” Brayden greeted with a wide grin when you entered the kitchen - your eyes immediately caught on Kelsey and Molly, both women hiding their amusement behind wine glasses, as Jaden glared at Tyler, “And Parry’s girlfriend!”
“She’s not my girlfriend,” Colton replied automatically, pouring a glass of wine and passing it over to you as the Tarasenko family entered the house, Aleksandr running in and crashing himself into Jaden’s legs.
Jaden chuckled and picked the four year up, waving off Yana and Vladi’s attempts to apologize for their son.
“Come on,” Jaden grinned at the child in his arms, “let’s see what Kanon is up to, yeah?”
Vladi followed him out of the room and into the living room where the Bozak kids were set up.
“Good to see you,” Yana smiled, giving you a hug, “You come to next Better Halves lunch, okay?”
“But I’m not -”
Yana waved off your response and Molly was definitely snickering behind her wine glass and Colton blushed darkly in response.
“I’m sorry,” he whispered once everyone was distracted.
“It’s fine,” you replied, placing your hand on his arm, “it’s harmless.”
“Still -”
“Colton, relax. It’s fine, seriously.”
Colton seemed to relax after that.
And if he allowed himself to gloat a little after kicking Brayden’s ass in basketball after dinner, well, no one could blame him.
4.Your Mom
“Is your boyfriend joining us for dinner after the ceremony?” your mom asked.
You were two very short weeks away from graduation and your mom wanted to make reservations for after the ceremony. You had barely managed to convince her not to invite every family member and family friend.
“Boyfriend?” you asked, pausing in mixing the batter for Clare’s birthday cake.
“Yes,” your mom replied, “that big, blond man you’ve spent so much time with these past three years. I just figured you never got around to tell us you were together, but he’s a good man. Nice and polite.”
“Mom,” you sighed, “Colton is not my boyfriend.”
“Your partner, then. Whatever you want to label him.”
“Mom, Colton and I are not together.”
“.....Really?”
“Yes.”
“Are you sure?”
“Mom, I’m pretty sure I would know if I was dating Colton.”
“Well….just let me know when that changes.”
“Mom!”
“Will your ‘friend’,” and you definitely heard the airquotes around the word, “be joining us for dinner after the ceremony?”
“I’ll ask him if he wants to, but probably.”
He was going to be going to the ceremony anyway, he may as well get a meal out of it. Even if that meant putting him through meeting your family.
5. Marco Scandella
Work had kept you busy and with Colton’s schedule, you hadn’t been able to really see each other in a couple weeks.
“Hey, stranger,” you grinned as you entered the restaurant.
“Hey,” Colton grinned, standing up and hugging you, “how have you been?”
“I’ve been good,” you replied, pulling back just a little, “Crazy busy, but still good. You?”
“Same,” Colton replied, gesturing to the man still sitting in the booth, he said, “This is Marco. He’s a new guy in town.”
“Hi,” you smiled politely, introducing yourself.
“You’re Colton’s girlfriend?” he asked with a smile.
“I’m gonna kill Schenner,” Colton muttered to himself before saying, “No, we’re...we’re just friends.”
“Really?” Marco seemed confused and you could only guess what information he had been fed by Colton’s well-intentioned but mischievous teammates.
“Yes,” you and Colton replied in unison.
Marco gave you both a look like he thought you were messing with him before shrugging and picking up his menu.
+1
“Here!” you yelled as you entered Colton’s house, shrugging out of your coat and hanging it up in the front closet.
“Kitchen!” he responded.
You entered the kitchen just in time to see him plating up the roasted chicken and potatoes.
“Perfect timing,” he grinned, picking up the plates and taking them to the table - the fully set table, lit candles included.
“Fancy,” you smiled as you sat down.
“I wanted to do something a little nicer tonight,” Colton blushed.
You looked at him for a minute, feeling like you were missing something but couldn’t quite put your finger on what. You talked to him about your current case and he filled you in on the antics on his last roadie.
And it felt normal. It felt comfortable. And it wasn’t the first time that you had thought about him...about this. Because Clare was right when she said that you didn’t have a normal friendship with Colton. And she was right when she pointed out that you hadn’t gone out with anyone since you met Colton. And she was right to call you on your bullshit when you replied that you didn’t have time. Because you have the time… you just spent it with Colton.
“I-”
“So -”
“You go,” you insisted.
“I talked to Petro and it made me realize some things,” Colton mumbled, turning a little pink, “I… I don’t think we’re just friends. Not really. But… I don’t want to ruin us either.”
You smiled and placed your hand on his, “I don’t think we’re just friends either.”
And Colton grinned, flipping his hand over to lace your fingers together, “Really?”
“Really really.”
“I can’t believe you chose a Shrek reference for this moment,” Colton laughed, shaking his head.
“Well, I can’t use them in Court and I have to use them somewhere.”
“I love you,” Colton’s tone was soft, eyes still shining with amusement.
“I love you, too, Colton.”

i’m missing half of me when we’re apart
this started out as angsty but got really fluffy near the end. enjoy!!!
if i could fly
i’d coming right back home to you
i think i might give everything
just ask me to
His heart felt like it was out of his body. It was getting harder and harder to pretend he wasn’t in love with Buck. Every time he looked at his best friend, his partner, his soulmate, his breath got caught in his throat, and Buck gave him this look whenever he saw Eddie staring right at him.  But then Buck would look away and something would shift out of place once again.
It was not something that ever happened with them  Now, though, Eddie felt like his other half was missing because he and Buck weren’t pressed up right against each other at all times anymore.
On the couch, at the station, Buck would sit on the other side of it, while Eddie was trying so hard not to just rest his feet on Buck’s lap and feel Buck’s beaming smile from miles away.  Sometimes he would see Buck reach out to touch, then frown and realize Eddie’s feet were resting firmly on the ground, several feet away from him.
He would see Buck grimacing and Eddie wanted to kiss the corner of his mouth, his cheek, his jawline.  He would see Buck helping Bobby with cooking dinner and want to wrap his arms around Buck’s waist from behind and just never let go.  Wanted to see that smile directed at him at all times because it was literal sunshine.  He swears Buck’s smile could cure any ailment.  Anybody with half a brain cell knew this was false. Eddie didn’t care. He was in love, sue him.
Right now, though, Eddie saw Buck smiling but not at him. No, at his phone, where he was probably texting his girlfriend. Damn Taylor Kelly.
A flare of jealousy sparked down in his belly and now, he wanted the couch to swallow him whole.
Eddie asked, “Is that Taylor?”
The smile disappeared. Buck was giving him that fucking look again.
Eddie’s chest did a painful twinge when Buck told him, “Yeah. We’re making dinner plans for tonight.”
Now, Eddie’s heart plummeted down to his stomach. Stupid ass feelings.
Eddie croaked out, “But it’s Diaz-Buckley game night.  Can’t you just reschedule?”
Buck blushed like he had been caught and Eddie realized maybe he had forgotten.
He gave Eddie a sympathetic smile and asked, “I’ll chat with Chris later tonight to make up for it. Tomorrow night instead?”
Eddie barely got out, “Sure”, before Buck got off the couch and took off down the stairs.
His other half was gone. Again.
Hey, at least, he had Buck all to himself tomorrow night.
Maybe he was a little selfish.
It was worth it to see Buck’s smile that would be lighting up his entire face tomorrow night when Chris was demolishing them both in Mario Kart.
Superman, you did it again.  Man, buddy, you’re too good.
Just better than you, Buck.
Eddie laughed to himself.  Maybe he could make it until tomorrow night.
Tell that to his pining heart.  It wouldn’t rest.
His phone pinged.
From Buck: Can’t wait until tomorrow night! Order the pizza early, Eds.  Also, does Chris need more ice cream?
Yeah, he has the best partner.
To Buck: Get him some triple chocolate.  His new obsession lately.
From Buck: So your son takes after you then?
Heart a little lighter.  Not beating so fast. Maybe a little bold.
To Buck: After you, dumbass.
Yep, he was screwed.
for your eyes only, i show you my heart...

The Thing About You (Winteriron)
So this is for @ceealaina who lets me text me random horny-for-bucky things at all hours of the night and is also nice enough to not only answer, but also not to judge (which she should, cos after my after midnight texts are FUNKY) I love you muchly and I’m glad we fangirl together.
THERE’S MORE WINTERIRON ON MY MASTERLIST
***************
“Okay so here’s the thing about Bucky.” Tony dragged a chair up to the kitchen table and turned it around so he could sit backwards, arms crossed on the back rest and chin propped comfortably. “The thing about Bucky is-- Steve, are you listening?”
“No, I’m not listening.” Steve snapped the newspaper open pointedly. “Because I’m catching up on current events and political happenings, as well as perusing coupons and having a chuckle at the funny pages. I am not listening to you wax weird about my best friend.”
“First of all, I’m waxing poetic about Bucky.” Tony huffed. “And second of all, my god you are an old man. You’re gonna have a ‘chuckle’ at the funny pages? Nobody talks like that.”
“Bucky talks like that, because he’s every bit as old as I am.” the Captain replied calmly. “In fact, he’s older than I am. So there’s a thing about Bucky, Tony. He’s ancient and its weird that you’re interested in someone sixty years older than you.”
Tony’s eyes narrowed, his jaw setting in irritation. “You know... for someone who wears spandex and glitter while running around with a frisbee, you are the least fun ever.”
“Well at least my spandex and frisbee proves I’m not trying to over compensate for anything.” Steve turned a page and raised a knowing eyebrow. “Unlike the one person on the team who armors up in a flying suit that is at least eight inches taller than him. Hows that compensating going, Tony?”
“I....” Tony huffed again. “Well I-- I’m six feet tall! I am!”
“You’re maybe five and a half feet tall, Tony. Natasha calls you pocket sized when you’re not around.” Steve turned another page. “And by the way, I don’t wear glitter. It’s just the natural sparkle of my eyes and the healthy glow of my rosy cheeks.”
“Should’ve left you as a Capsicle.” Tony threw his hands up in the air and stalked away. “I’ll talk to someone else about Bucky!”
“Oh thank God.”
***************
“So here’s the thing about Bucky.” Tony leaned against the side of the ring and watched Natasha obliterate a training dummy. “I can’t tell if I like his hands or if I just have a robot kink. Because that’s weird right? I build robots and sorta fly around in one, so having that sorta kink would be weird but also understandable, and since Bucky’s left hand is--”
“Okay.” Tasha pushed her hair out of her eyes and blew out a breath. “Tony, if you’re gonna sit here and talk about all the nasty stuff you want to do to Bucky’s hand, you’re gonna have to let me hit you. I can’t listen to this without punching something.”
“Okay, that’s fair.” He ducked under the ropes and picked up a set of gloves, motioning for her to start. “So I mean, not all that weird I’m into robotic things? Have you heard the noise his arm makes when he flexes? I wish I could make my armor make that noise but then again I feel like I’d have a boner all the time so-- OOOPH!”
Stunned and wheezing, Tony blinked up at Natasha from the ground. “Did you just knee me in the back of the head? How is that even possible?”
“Sorry.” she reached down to help him back up. “Men talk about boners and the knees start flying. Can’t help it.”
“Okay but seriously, how is that possible?” Tony smoothed down the back of his severely damaged hairstyle. “No B-words, I get it. Anyway, the thing about Bucky is that sometimes I think he’s purposefully doing things left handed so I will stare. Is that crazy? How would I even know that?”
“Well.” Natasha’s foot kicked out and damn near decimated Tony’s tummy. “You could use your words like a grown ass man and talk to him instead of letting me beat the crap outta you mid conversation.”
“I feel like you could also not try to disembowel me.” Tony pointed out. “Just-- just a thought. Disemboweling isn’t real conducive for conversation.”
“Creeping on Bucky around corners isn’t real conducive for conversation either.” she retorted. “I’m going to choke you out between my thighs now, okay?”
“Huh.” Tony looked down at himself in interest. “Look at that. Both robotic appendages and threats of death by thigh pop the proverbial B-word. Who knew?”
“I love you very much.” Natasha took him down with embarrassingly little effort, then smacked a loud kiss onto Tony’s lips as he tried to recover from his head bouncing off the mat. “Please go talk to Bucky. Stop talking to us about him, okay? Be an adult about this. You’re forty years old.”
“And pocket sized, apparently?” Tony challenged, and Tasha muttered something vaguely threatening about Steve in response. “Okay. I’ll see you later. And I love you too.”
***************
“So here’s the thing about Bucky.” Tony pushed that weird perpetual motion thing off Pepper’s desk and lay out on the surface, legs dangling off the edge and feet kicking in the air. “He has amazing thighs. Like amazing. And I’ll fully admit I didn’t know I had a thing for thighs before meeting him? But Tasha just threatened to strangle me with hers and that was way hotter than it should have been so maybe I’ve always been in to them? When we were together, was I into your thighs?”
“Tony.” Pepper did one of those sighs that sounded like it came from the very depths of her soul. “I’m waiting for a all from an international client. Could we maybe talk about how you’re in love with quite possibly the most dangerous person in the world later?”
“We could, but I’m already laying on your desk and I think Tasha cracked one of my ribs so I’ll probably be laying here all day. It’s a little hard to breathe.”
“Get off my desk, Tony.”
“Not until you tell me if you like Bucky’s thighs too.” Tony maintained. “Is it just a me thing? Or is it like, a universal Bucky thing where everyone likes watching him squat?”
“Okay.” Another one of those sighs. “If I tell you how I feel about Bucky squatting, will you leave me in peace so we don’t lose this very important client?”
“...yes?”
“I like to watch Bucky squat because his butt is frankly, ridiculous.” the redhead admitted. “The thigh thing is a you thing though, I don’t know if it’s cos you’re short and are just jealous of long legs--”
“I AM SIX FEET TALL!”
“Aw sweetie, we slept together remember? You’re actually a few inches shorter than me.” Pepper wrinkled up her nose teasingly. “And since we agreed you’d leave once I talked about Bucky’s butt, would you please get out of here so I can work?”
“Fine.” Tony grumbled and groaned and whined a little as he rolled off the desk. “I’ll find someone else to talk to.”
**************
“Brucie bear.” Tony pillowed his chin on Bruce’s shoulder, cuddling close to his favorite genius. “Listen. The thing about Bucky is--”
“I’m holding a laser and I’ll use it to cut your nose off if you breathe down my neck about Bucky’s hair.” Bruce said flatly. “Don’t test me, Tony. I sat through your ‘thing about Bucky’ speech last week when you waxed weird about how his scowl turns you on and whether or not that is some reflection on your issues with authority and really just a plea from your inner self for some structure and discipline.”
“You got all that from my ‘Bucky’s frown makes me feel like a subby bottom’ spiel?” Tony’s eyebrows all but flew off his forehead. “I was going more for, ‘maybe he’ll turn me over those Thighs of Destruction of spank me’ but now I’m worried my inner self is pleading for structure and discipline.”
“Tony, I’m warning you. Laser. Nose. Stop talking.”
“Okay but the thing about Bucky is that he’d make an excellent Dom, right?” he decided. “Firm and you know... huge.. and I’m pretty sure he could-- EEK!”
The laser swept through the air close enough to singe Tony’s curls and he backpedaled into another table shrieking, “BRUCE!”
“I warned you.” Bruce went back to his work. “And for the record, you do need structure and discipline. No one would ever argue that point.”
“Yeah, that’s fair.”
**************
“Here’s the thing about Bucky.” Tony stole a big handful of popcorn from Clint’s bowl and shoved it all into his mouth. “He calls me all these nicknames, right? And it shouldn’t be half as cute as it is because I don’t like nicknames. Sam called Steve honey the other day and I actually threw a book at him. But Bucky called me sweet thing last night and I think I melted a little bit.”
“Yeah?” Clint had mastered the art of playing Mario Kart one handed while cramming snacks into his mouth with the other and somehow carrying on a conversation all at the same time. “Had to go upstairs and change your panties, huh?”
"WHAT?!”
“Oh please.” Clint emptied a pack of Skittles into his mouth and kept right on going. “It’s not like you two are subtle. Bucky called you sweet thing and you squeaked and sorta crossed your legs and then disappeared upstairs. We all assumed you had to change ye olde tighty whiteys.”
“Okay well.” Tony cleared his throat. “What I did upstairs isn’t important. The thing about Bucky is he’s the first person that could do you know... that... to me without even trying. I feel like a teenager with a crush. Like if I was fifteen again I’d probably do something embarrassing in my pants if he looked at me for two long.”
“Yeah, I totally get it.” Another pack of Skittles disappeared into the bottomless pit called Clint Barton. “Sometimes he gets to lookin’ all intense and sorta soft all at the same time and you don’t know whether you should stare back or blow right up cos it’s too much, right?”
“Yes!” Tony shouted. “Yes! Finally someone gets it!”
“Or like sometimes he puts all that dumb hair up in a bun and gives himself those ‘accidental on purpose’ bangs that are somehow super sexy hanging down into his eyes?”
“YES!” Tony could have cried in relief. “Yes, holy crap. He does that! It’s crazy hot!”
“And then how he folds him arms and smolders at you? Is he pissed off? Is he massively turned on? Who knows!”
“Oh my god.” Tony grabbed at more popcorn and nearly shouted around it, “Everyone acts like I’m crazy talking about him like this but you see it too!”
“Totally see it, Tony baby.”
“Yeah, cos the thing about Bucky is he’s insanely and sort of unfairly burly and fierce! I shouldn’t want to hear him growl! What even is that?! Where did that thought come from? Who growls and why would I find that sexy? And also, the other thing about Bucky is--”
“-- that he’s standing behind you and has been for at least ten minutes.” Clint turned off the game and smecked a kiss to Tony’s cheek. “Good luck, man. Bucky, I’ll give you two the room cos I feel like things are about to get gross.”
“Ummmm.....” it was the worlds longest minute of silence as Tony sat stock still on the couch, eyes wide enough to hurt, his lungs definitely not working partly from Natasha’s workout early and partly because he was trying to just die right there so he wouldn’t have to face Bucky after saying all of... all of that.
“You gonna turn around and look at me? Or make me have th’conversation with the back of your head?” Bucky sounded like he was wearing his most lethal smolder and Tony felt a blush start somewhere around his toe nails and turn him scarlet clear to his scalp.
“Uh, listen.” He rotated very slowly on the couch, bracing himself for what was sure to be Captain America levels of disapproval. Bucky was from the forties, after all, and no one did disapproval like members of the greatest generation.
“Listen, I don’t know how much of that you heard. But I wasn’t trying to be weird or anything.” Tony flinched away from the knowing in those blue eyes, fully wanting to fold in on himself and just disappear. “Probably shouldn’t have been shouting about wanting to hear you growl or whatever but it doesn’t have to be--”
“I heard you’ve been talking about me.” Bucky interrupted and Tony flinched again. “Been chattin’ everyone up about all the different things about me?”
“Fuck my life, this is the worst conversation I’ve ever had.” Tony muttered. “Seriously Bucky just listen. If you haven’t figured it out by now, I don’t really have a filter? And I say whatever I want to say to whoever happens to be around but that doesn’t mean that I really want to--”
He thought about he’d blurted out to Rhodey during their phone call at lunch. “-- climb you like a tree. Or hear you growl. That’s not a real thing. That’s not-- it doesn’t have to be a thing, I was just talking and--”
“You know the thing about you, baby doll?” Bucky came around the couch and pulled Tony up to standing, the glint in his gaze sharpening in anticipation when the brunette shuddered as their bodies brushed together. “The thing about you is that you talk a whole lot when you’re nervous and tryna cover it up, but you don’t got a reason to be nervous right now, alright?”
“Well I--”
“The thing about you, Tony is that a fella would be real dumb to pass up the chance to get you alone.” Silver fingers brushed over Tony’s cheek then slid into his hair and Tony had to work really really hard not to make the sort of noise that meant his underwear needed changed when all the plates in Bucky’s arm shifted and realigned so the big soldier could tug lightly at the loose curls.
“The thing about you, sugar.” Bucky stepped closer and lowered his voice to what was damn near a growl and whoops there Tony went trying not to melt into a vaguely billionaire shaped puddle. “Is you got the sorta lips that keep a man up at night wonderin’ just how they taste and how good they’d look stretched around my uh--”
Bucky wet his lips and grinned when Tony eep!ed a little in shock.
“Thing about you, Tony.” Their mouths brushed just barely, not even a real kiss but damn it if Tony didn’t grab onto those stupidly big shoulders for dear life anyway. “Thing about you is I’ve been hearing all the things you like about me and it seems like we should have a talk.”
“A talk.” Tony repeated hopefully. “A talk about-- about more things that involve kissing?”
“Think we should have a talk about how the things you like about me fit into the things I like about you.” Bucky decided. “And yeah, sweet thing, I think that should involve a whole lotta kissin’. That alright with you?”
“Uh yeah, here’s the thing about me, Buck.” Tony cleared his throat and stood on his toes-- the only time in the world he’d admit he was fucking short, thank you very much-- “I will always be just fine with anything involving your mouth, okay?”
“Well that’s real good, then.” Bucky’s smile had no business being so filthy. “Cos the thing about me is that I got all sorts of ideas on exactly how to use my tongue.”

***************
“OW!” Steve shouted when a book came flying through the living room and ricocheted off his head. “What the hell!”
“Snitches get stitches!” Natasha hissed, popping up from behind the couch and scaring the Captain half to death. “Why’d you tell Tony I call him pocket sized!”
“He kept saying he was six feet tall and accusing me of wearing glitter!” Steve rubbed at the back of his head and scowled at the tiny spy. “I had to say something!”
“You could have not told him my code name for him though!” Natasha vaulted neatly over the couch and burrowed into Steve’s side. “And by the way, you do definitely wear glitter. I’ve seen Sam dust it onto your cheeks before an interview. Don’t pretend he doesn’t, I’ll break out the video footage.”
“It’s only glitter every once in a while.” Steve’s scowl deepened, then deepened again when Clint came along and asked, “Are we talking about Cap wearing glitter and Sam like, tenderly brushing it on his face? Cos that’s about the cutest shit I’ve ever seen.”
“IT’S NOT--” Steve stopped talking abruptly, his jaw just about dislocating when Bucky came walking backwards into the room, holding onto Tony with both hands and smiling down at the little brunette as Tony murmured--
“The thing about you Bucky is that your dick game is amazing.”
“Yeah well the thing about you doll, is that your ass is made for takin’ it. Bucky murmured back, and Clint made a horrified sort of noise when Tony only made smoochy noises and returned, “Well the thing about you baby is that you have incredible thighs and I think you should put me right over them and spank me.”
“Thing ‘bout you kitten is--”
“GOD DAMN IT YOU TWO!” Another book, this one courtesy of Bruce who lobbed what was basically a dictionary at Bucky’s back. “I already kicked you out of the lab, don’t make me ban you from the Tower, JARVIS already listens to me, I swear I’ll do it!”
“Bruce is mad.” Tony giggled, and Bucky clutched him up tighter. “We should do this somewhere else where we can get naked again.”
“The thing about you, Tony.” Bucky drawled and palmed low over that ridiculous butt. “Is that you always got the best ideas. Lead the way.”
Tony flashed a triumphant smile at the room over his shoulder and Bruce grumbled, “The thing about me? Is that I will Hulk out and smash them if they don’t get less gross soon.”
“Yeah, I second that.”
“Absolutely.”
“Nah, I think it’s cute.” Clint disagreed. “They kiss and tell each other everything they like about each other? It’s adorable. Bucky gets to be soft and sweet, Tony gets to be spoiled and everything. Adorable.”
“Uh huh.” Nat sounded unimpressed. “What’s the real reason you’re pro- that mess?”
Clint pursed his lips stubbornly and only when Steve gave his most disapproving throat-clear did he admit, “I texted Sam about it and we’ve got a bet for how long it takes Tony to propose to Bucky. I said ten days tops, He thinks it will be a week.”
“Six.” Natasha disagreed, and pulled a fifty from her pocket. “Tony’s never gone more than a week without doing something absolutely bonkers. It will be six days.”
“Damn it.” Steve rummaged around for some cash too. “It will be four days, because Bucky’s been stupid about Tony for at least a year and he’s on this weird kick about seizing the day and never letting an opportunity slip by.”
“Tomorrow.” Bruce said from his chair. “Bucky’s going to slip up and say something about how he likes that Tony is spontaneous and Tony’s going to say ‘hey you know what would be really spontaneous’? and the jet will take off and they’ll go to Vegas.”
“...what?”
“... what?!”
“Fifty bucks says I’m right.” he shrugged. “Just wait and see.”
************
Later that night, Bucky rolled to his side and ran his left hand down Tony’s back, along the bump of his spine and up and over the curve of his rear. “You know one’a my favorite things about you, Tony?”
“Wazzat?” Tony was fucked out and drooling, barely coherent against the pillows. “Gonna say somethin’ bout my butt again?”
“Always.” Bucky grinned and so did Tony. “But I was gonna say the best thing about you is how spontaneous you are. You always got good ideas and then your eyes light up all pretty and you get this gorgeous smile and then you’re off runnin’ to do whatever th’hell you thought of. Maybe now I’ll get to be a part of it all, huh?”
“Whatever you want, babe.” Tony scooched over and pressed a kiss to Bucky’s lips, then his eyes lit up and his mouth curved up in a smile-- “Hey you know what would be really spontaneous....?”

Prove It
Summary: A friendly competition between you and Dean escalates just a little too far.
Pairing: Dean x Reader
Square filled: Laser Tag for @spnfluffbingo and Play Fighting for @spndeanbingo
Word Count: 960
Warnings: Competitive Dean, playful fighting, use of the word swindler, general fluff
A/N: Here’s some fun fluff to hold you all over until the next chapter of Til Death Do Us Part? this weekend. It was written based on a request by @spngeek7983 for my 2k challenge.
Tumblr media
The competition had been going on for three grueling days and nights.
It started off innocently enough. Sunday night, you’d volunteered to cook dinner for the boys, running to the store for all the ingredients you needed for beef bolognese. When you got back to the bunker, you kicked Dean and Sam out of the kitchen, getting straight to work. A few hours later, a piping hot meal was sitting on the table.
“Wow, Y/N, this looks amazing,” Sam said with a warm smile, folding his tall, lanky frame into one of the chairs. Dean followed suit, breathing the smell in.
“Yeah, babe. Smells fantastic.”
Sam tasted the dish first, sighing softly with pleasure. “Wow…Y/N, this is delicious. Honestly, I think this may be the best thing I’ve ever eaten.”
Dean scoffed in offense. “Hey! Who’s been cooking for you since you were in diapers?”
Sam made eye contact with you and grinned conspiratorially. “Sorry, Dean. I guess Y/N’s just better.”
“Pshh,” he huffed. “I bet if I cooked this thing, it’d come out ten times better.”
“Oh, really?” you laughed, more amused than insulted. “Prove it.”
And, that’s how the war started. A simple little cook-off that snowballed into so much more. Soon, it was who could down a glass of whiskey the fastest, who was the better shot, who knew more of the lore books by memory.
Very quickly, you ran out of legitimate things to compete over, so you moved on to ridiculous contests. Tonight’s was a classic: Mario Kart.
“VICTORY!” Dean shouted, throwing down his controller and tossing his hands up into the air as his car crossed the finish line. “Take that!”
“Not fair! You got to pick Yoshi first. We all know he’s the best.”
Dean snorted. “Oh, like you didn’t cheat in the marshmallow contest? I saw you squishing them together.”
You gasped, jumping up. “I did not!”
He mirrored you, jumping up and smirking as he crossed his arms across his chest. “Yeah? I guess it’s just too bad there weren’t any marshmallows here, huh?”
“Oh, you, you...swindler!” you yelled, frustration boiling over. “Maybe you should just sleep out here with your victory then.”
“Wait a second,” Dean sputtered, his smirk fading. “I beat you at Mario Kart and now you’re banishing me to the couch for the night?”
“Exactly,” you avowed, spinning around to leave, but Dean grabbed your elbow.
“Y/N, baby, come on, it’s just a game.”
You laughed. “Oh, now it’s just a game when you’re sleeping on the couch, but when you were winning...”
“I’m sorry, okay,” Dean pleaded, his voice as smooth as honey. He put on his most charming smile and pulled you closer to him. “Come on, let’s go to bed.” He pulled his tongue between his teeth, his eyes darkening. “I’ll make it up to you, huh?”
“Hmm…” you hummed for a second, closing your eyes as you pretended to consider it. You quickly made your decision, opened your eyes, and grinned, knowing you had him now. “How about no, champ.”
His mouth fell open in astonishment. “Okay, okay.” Dean dropped his hand, changing tactics. “I know when I’m beat. How ‘bout this? One more game, no cheating, no tricks. No matter who wins, we accept it and move on with our lives, no more competition, no more grudges, and no hard feelings.”
You narrowed your eyes suspiciously, suspecting some kind of hidden agenda after the past three days of ruthless competition and bragging. “What game?”
“Something we’re both good at.” He thought for a second before his face split into a grin. “I have just the thing.”
Tumblr media
You cocked your gun, bracing yourself in a wide, open stance. Holding the gun to your chest, you peered around the corner, scanning from side to side.
You didn’t see Dean anywhere, but that didn’t mean a thing. He was an expert at this, and you knew he could camouflage pretty much anywhere. That was one of the things that made you fall in love with him in the first place, the jerk.
Taking a deep breath, you moved around the corner, keeping your back to the wall as you walked. You held your gun up high, staying alert as your eyes scanned every darkened corner for any sign of your boyfriend.
You’d almost made it to the next area of cover when Dean dropped out of nowhere, raising his gun up high with a shout. You kicked your leg out, sweeping his before he could shoot. As he fell to the ground, you raised your gun to his chest, firing a laser stream until all of the lights on his vest began to flash red.
“HA! I did it! I beat the great Dean Winchester at laser tag. Yes!!!!” You threw your hands up in the air and spun around, doing a little victory dance.
Dean chuckled, holding his hand out for you to help him up. “Yeah, you did, but you think you could’ve been any gentler with the take-down? I think you broke me…”
“Aw, sorry, honey,” you apologized, wrapping your arms so your hands were resting on his back. You began to massage his muscles, slowly moving lower. “I’ll make it up to you, huh?”
He grinned as your hands landed on his ass. “Mmm, good idea. You know, I think I’m getting a little too old for this play fighting stuff.”
“Oh, you’ll never be too old for me,” you breathed out, your voice turning seductive as your hands gripped him even tighter. “Want a chance to prove it?”
“Oh, hell yeah,” he exclaimed excitedly, grabbing you and lifting you up, throwing you over his shoulder. “I think this is one competition I’m definitely gonna win.”
