SO WHEN I was originally planning TotTP (what B and I affectionately refer to as 'tater tot' because the acronym is.. bad) I was really invested in making it tight. Like, I am a Rambler, and I wanted it to be a RAMBLE FREE ZONE. ECONOMY OF WORD. I was going to write something SHORT and SIMPLE if it killed me.

Taker of the Third Path - I swore on my figurative blade - would be a NOVELLA, god dammit.

Then I started writing it and was like hmm. I need more things to happen here for it to feel Whole. And added a nice little subplot that circles back around to the main plot. This is fine! I said. It will add more words but it will make the plot and the characters and the themes much stronger and I WILL NOT RAMBLE. I am still writing a novella.

Folks, I did not ramble. Or at the very least, I kept it to a minimum (and by I, I do at least partially - and perhaps fully - mean B. Such a gracious and longsuffering editor I have.)

However.

TotTP is currently 51,724 words, with at least three chapters to go.

I fuckin played myself. I've written another goddamn novel
