On my fourth relisten and I just thought of something cool — In MAG 38 (Lost and Found), the statement giver's husband's gets eaten (or, more accurately, erased) by the Spiral vase. His name was David, and the statement giver was at some point afraid that David was gaslighting him, since he kept telling him all the disappearing things had never existed in the first place (due to the effect of the vase), and I just found it extremely cool that in the apocalypse in MAG 177 (Wonderland), Doctor David is part of a Spiral domain that deals in gaslighting the victims within it. Again, it's coincidental, but IT'S COOL NONETHELESS

gadreel is a grigori (as in spn lore, an elite group of angels, mostly warriors), to me it makes sense, as gadr.eel was tasked with guarding eden in this canon as well the reputation grigori have in biblical lore and stories of them mating with humans (gadr.eel lack of interfierence causing those angels to mingle around with humans once the garden was breached). and he was also, in my canon, michael's second in command who helped during the war in heaven against luci.fer (which also might be why he was targeted by him).

oh, don't mind me. Just thinking about how Percy canonically used nature magic even though that shouldn't have been possible for a normal demigod. (in the lightning thief on gabe, I swear)
oh don't mind me, i'm just thinking about how Sally seems to get younger when she's near the sea and her eyes change colors as well.
oh don't mind me, i'm just thinking about how Percy described the sea nymph his father sent to talk to him as looking exactly like his mother.
oh don't mind me, i'm just thinking about how Percy is part sea nymph and nobody fucking noticed.
EDIT: no I don't think sally is a full blooded sea nymph I still think she is more human than mythological creature. I just think it might explain a few things

Needlessly close reading and long commentary on chapter 57 and how the audience actually has an extremely limited view on what Marcille has been like over the course of her life.
I am once again thinking about how pre-dungeon Marcille is so quiet and stoic that she seems like a completely different person. How jarring chapter 57 is for the audience. Like you have Marcille, who has been just the most blindingly expressive person with resting baby face
And then the chapter drops a title page of Marcille hearing from Falin for the first time in four years and it's like.
Who is that. Genuinely. Would you even realize that's Marcille without the context clues?
And then the chapter just keeps coming in with the sucker punches.
We have SEEN Marcille meet strangers. It was never with this understated of a smile.
literally who the hell is this. the few times the audience gets to see some Signature Marcille Faces that they're used to is when she finally gets to see Falin again
when she's testing out her new spells
(and when Laios and Falin are fantasizing about her being their damsel in distress, funnily enough)
And then finally. Finally you get to a fully recognizable Marcille when she fucking DIES and comes back to life to geek out about necromancy.
We know she loves magic. We know she loves Falin. So it's not so surprising that she wouldn't be able to keep a mask up when thinking or talking about the things she loves. But why the mask in the first place? Where does it come from? It's tempting to think that, maybe, Falin's departure just hurt her so much that it turned her into a quiet person.
But that's only half true. If you go back, the first instance you see of this incredibly mild personality is actually introduced much earlier, in chapter 17.
What if she was always like that. What if her default after her father died was to hold people at arm's length, to never really emote past being polite and friendly. What if Falin was the first person who was able to bring her out of her shell, and when she left, Marcille just went back to how she was.
And when comparing her detached demeanour with someone else...
It's not exact, but wouldn't you say there's a resemblance? Wouldn't you think she might be trying her best to imitate what she saw of her own mother working as an accomplished mage?
It would certainly explain why she's hiding behind her portrait in her nightmare, at least.
We aren't told that Marcille has been distancing herself from everyone around her using a mature and dignified personality she modelled off her mother. But we sure as hell are shown it, I think.

concept: eddie has heard many a rumor about king steve, but he's actually never really bothered to seek him out. and while he was doing his lunchtime monologues, steve was usually hanging out with tommy and carol in the parking lot. so despite hawkins high being a small school, he's never connected the rumor to the boy.
he HAS however seen steve, he just doesn't know it. and it's basically love at first sight, but eddie is never able to catch up to him and learn his name. so whenever he talks to his friends, he just calls him the guy with the Fat Ass.
and his friends always brush over steve harrington whenever eddie tries to point out the "love of his life." so it becomes a running joke that eddie is in love with some sort of ghost with a Fat Ass.
then one day, steve peeks into the drama room, looking for dustin. and all eddie can do is point and say "you... you fat ... fat ass." and steve is just like "rude."

Choose your character:
[Nikto] [König] -[Ghost]-
Simon Riley who has a chest so wide and hearty that it can just barely fit into the old button up shirt that he found just to meet up for your date. Sure the buttons were yellowing and the shirt stretched thin, if not transparent on his sides. But ah. He didn't really have any better options especially since he's asked you out somewhere fancy. He just doesn't wanna embarrass you. :(
And so it comes to no surprise to Simon that the shirt turns instantly transparent when he spilled his water. Just trying to get some hydration pre-date and here he was. Already making a fool of himself and you haven't even arrived!
Perfect timing for you though. A perfect view for the eyes, a fully flushed and flustered Ghost, trying not so shamefully to dry his shirt. Water already spreading down to his abdomen. The fabric sticking to his skin and detailing every inch of his skin, especially his chest in perfect view.
Dabbing at it with a dry tissue paper scrunched up in his hands, every light touch and caress just making the muscle of his chest bounce and dent. The softness making your mouth water as you approach him. Eyes widening pathetically as he notices you, tears brimming over his embarrassment yet his eyes struggle to avoid you. His blush escaping the mask as he tries to mumble off some random excuse of how he got his shirt wet. Not that you notice how he was already drooling too at the sight of you.
