Missing fight scenes actually makes sense since they are older and more capable of taking down monsters. Also this was supposed to be more like a crack book, where they just hang out as teenagers, without more trauma XD

I agree on that old age thing, it was kind of cheesy? But still, made me smile. And tear up 👉👈 They are my kids, thinking of them getting old-

About Grover, I think it would link with the other books because on Read Riordan we know Grover is very sad because he thinks they gonna leave him- I think in next books Percy and Annabeth would realize this and show him that he is wrong :) In toa they left for college all together, Grovar was with them. I think like he would be left alone at Hecate's house since both of them would be in school and maybe we would see his feelings- They are all just guesses tho XD

Other than that, their dynamics were everything! I mean there was almost nothing serious about it and I laughed at every page. Percy's pov are everything and I MISSED it sooo much! The titles too! The new characters are very good too, minor gods( Hebe, Iris, that Lake god, GANYMADE) their were amazing! Them turning to 8 years old babies by Hebe! Omg I LOVED IT. Humor and fluff was everything. And my fav scene: Athena catching Percy XD Like I lost it! It was sooo good. Her helping her future son in law, finally accept him because her love for her daughter :) Love them. Zeus's Llama story... Well, lets say I kinda missed them too XD And of course, Sally, Paul, Annabeth, Percy acting as a family. Annabeth and Paul's interactions were adorable! Grover banging in for tofu was also hilarious lmao. And he was sad there because it was their last summer :( Sally and Annabeth being close, Sally giving THE NEWS. Baby Estelle is on the way! Percy's reaction, also being sad because he would miss many of her early life :(

I only had one problem with the book: Lack of physical decriptions. I didn't really understand the reason because like in every book we had at least one page of Percy gushing over Annabeth, talking about her gray eyes etc. Grover and the gods same too. I mean, this made me a little sad because I really wanted to know what they look like, I am into imagining while reading. I mean, Rick changing the descriptions with the show ones or something? Don't get me wrong I adore the show and the cast but I really think they should have their own canon timelines ❤

Other than that, I can easily say it was now my fav pjo book. I mean I teared up with happiness, nostalgia I felt... I love OG trio more than anything 🥲 I can't wait for the next book-

And I have so much questions about Artemis! Her introduction post really hooked me in because she sounds very intresting, so here are my questions!

1. So from the few post about Artemis, it seems she is related to Ambrose. So what are they actually? Are they blood related (and if so are they cousins or siblings?) or are they just two people who see each other as family regardless of blood?

2. Along with that, the both of them seems to have a good relationship. If that’s the case, do any of their respective Aeons know that their own Emanator is close with the Emanator of their enemy?

3. What does Artemis think about Lian?

4. Following number 3, how does she feel about Lian dating Ambrose?

5. Is she close or at least acquainted with anyone in the Xianzhou Luofu? (aka playable character we know of)

6. What does she think about the High Cloud Quintet?

7. And lastly, does she have a silly side that no one or a few people know about?

Also i just realised that you may had hinted about her in the HuoHuo’s older sibling reader post where you replied to my idea of big sister Huohuo. You made a paragraph (i think?) about how Abundance and the Hunt need each other and how they would work really well under the part of Huohuo’s older sibling who’s the Emanator of the Hunt. they are blood related! biological cousins, actually. ambrose's mother had a sister, artemis' mom, and the two children grew up very close to one another. <3 i don't know if i have ever explicitly talked about this, but their homeworld was war-ridden before ambrose drew yaoshi's attention. artemis was a child soldier basically and ambrose kiiiinda was? ambrose did a lot of work in rationing resources such as food and clean water and healing wounded folk. so a lot of times, ambrose would tend to their baby cousin's wounds. so both of them have that kind of bond that going through the same trauma together gives people.

OH MAN OK THIS ONE IS A LITTLE LONG HELLO!!! long story short, yaoshi knows, lan does not. lan knows they are related (which is part of what drew their attention to artemis in the first place) but they don't know how close the two are and artemis is kind of worried because how long can you lie to something, someone so powerful without them finding out the truth??? and what would the consequences of that be???? artemis is very different from ambrose in this way; she is scared of the aeons. she is scared of lan, in certain aspects. she is not desensitized to their absolute power like her older cousin is. she is freaking out deep down inside. artemis and lan have a very tentative relationship and artemis doesn't tell them anything at all that might indicate her care for ambrose, because she knows that if they knew... erm. yeah. but yaoshi knows. i mean, after all, artemis is one of their children too, technically. if lan ever shunned her... yaoshi's arms are open, the gentle and forgiving aeon that they are. their child, who was stolen away by the hunt, is always welcome home. just saying. but also keep in mind that artemis would 🏹🏹🏹🏹🏹 ambrose if they ever became a threat to the general balance of the universe, so it's kind of complicated HAHA i suppose the real question is this: does lan have the capacity to understand that just because artemis loves ambrose, she willl still never hesitate to do her utmost to subdue ambrose if they ever became a serious threat? who knows?

artemis and lian actually met a looonnnggg time ago when lian was in the shackling prison. she knows what it's like to do questionable things because you just love and adore someone so much (artemis protecting ambrose and lian with dan feng back then; have i ever talked about that? i don't know haha), so she sympathized with lian greatly. artemis didn't talk to her after they were released, but lian was thankful that she came to visit so often.

artemis was kind of surprised at first, i think. but she thinks it's cute! she did, however, warn lian that ambrose will bend to the abundance's will very easily and ambrose can VERY quickly become evil and fucked up, should it ever become yaoshi's will. whether or not lian takes her words to heart... who knows if they will? but artemis did her part, and if lian chooses not to be careful, then that is the vidyadhara's decision and the fault will be hers alone. artemis did her part.

to the luofu residents, artemis is just about as elusive as the aeon lan themselves. so, for the most part, no. this is largely because artemis just doesn't want to risk them finding out about how much she cares for her cousin (ambrose's ass will just sneak onto the luofu like it's no big deal though and artemis is like "wtf man i am literally trying to protect you from them?!!?!?!? 😒"). when artemis goes on the luofu, she tends to adopt disguises and false identities. jing yuan, however, knows that it is her. and she knows he knows. but for some reason, he just... doesn't say anything..? she doesn't understand why but she appreciates his discretion.

artemis probably thinks they should leave dan heng alone already LMAOOOOO i feel like she has a great amount of respect for them, but she knows that she would be really fucking annoyed if she were dan heng. dan heng is not the same person as dan feng and they seriously need to realize this already (at least, that is what artemis believes). dan heng and artemis have actually met before and i think they are... friendly acquaintances? or something like that haha. they don't know one another well enough to be FRIENDS friends but they're friendly with one another, at least.

ABSOLUTELY LMFAO i just know she's a lil silly deep down!!!!!!!! but her silliness was buried a long time ago on account of her being a child soldier. so there is silliness in her but it is very hard to uncover.

about Romantic Killer (BIG SPOILERS)

ok i just finished watching Romantic Killer and it's so good wtf????????? the plot developed so much better than i was expecting at first?????? Anzu is such a good character and such a good friend????? so i need to ramble about it bare with me for a moment

the show is hilarious and i love how exaggerated the funny expressions are, but it also has some rly serious part damn im legit impressed (Anzu and Kazuki's first hug kinda got me tearing up ngl)

each of the characters is slowly developed so well. like damn. Kazuki's story is specially detailed and it caught me by surprise when they showed the flashbacks of the first episodes after we found out why he became so distant and conscious of people and everything made so much sense. and he felt so realistic in the way he reacted, his struggle to open up and every single time he started feeling anxious and panicking in public was so well done (and i wanted to take him away from the crowd and pat his head every time ugh T_T). i was just slightly dissapointed that right on the last episode he admited that he started crushing on Anzu bc after the entire season of them just being an amazing duo of friends i was so hopeful we would finally get a 'love interest' turned only best friend (bc lets admit its not like she doesnt already have enough ppl interested in her without Kazuki being one of them too). bc i was enjoying headcanoning him as aroace as i was watching :') oh well. maybe if it ends up not having a s2 i can pretend he realized he wasnt in love and he just loves her platonically a lot! if they dont give me the aroace boy i will rip it from their cold dead hands! :D

and i loved the plot twist on how Junta was actually her true childhood friend all along and she took so long to realize... his feelings were totally real awwwww and he is really a sweetheart, i like the childhood friend trope! buuuut i gotta admit im just living for the huge crush Makoto clearly has on Junta. boyo isn't hiding it very well. that scene when Makoto holds Saki's hand and takes her away from the triggering situation? that was gay x lesbian solidarity right there !

and Saki OH MY GOD SAKI. the episode focused on showing how the two of them became friends and how important Anzu is to her and the way she has always defended her and what Saki went through oh god... her story was so realistic and seeing her reaction seeing that stupid ass ex was such a realistic depiction of a kind of trauma like that. she's such a good character im so happy they developed her so well and didnt make her just an irrelevant school friend character!!! (also she's a lesbian i am not taking criticism- /hj)

i need to mention how Anzu is absolutely bisexual btw. her reaction to meeting Kazuki's sister? she literally straight up said "i'll fall for her" c'mon

and Riri!!! omg!!!! little genderfluid chaos gremlin!!!!!!!! i was so so happy that not only Anzu girbossed her way to getting them out of their punishment but she got them to permanently live on the human world AND officially made them one of the love interests??? ULTIMATE GIRLBOSS MOVE Anzu i love you so much dear. so ngl i lowkey would like seeing Anzu end up with Riri/Rio the most ksjefhskdjf badass girl x genderfluid gremlin??? so much potential cmon they literally were punished for breaking magic rules bc they care too much about Anzu that's so fucking cute skjfhsdf

and Hijiri!!!!! from a little annoying rich bastard to a little just slightly annoying tsundere rich baby!!! i really like that he's interested in her and all but ultimately he's just there working and helping her out a lot like he becomes genuinely a great friend??

so yeah. as one can tell from the immense number of written words here i have liked this anime quite a lot. binged it in a day, all at once, no regrets. i'll be happy if there's a 2nd season if it is as good as this 1st one, bc this was amazing! so glad i decided to give it a chance <3 there's even more things i could talk about here but i dont wanna write a novel chapter of a post so i'll stop here LMAO

but really, if you're into comedy, romance and some nice character development, you won't regret giving Romantic Killer a chance :)

(This was made as a response to someone, but I decided to make this it’s own post for me to link when my friends question my sanity. Long post warning.)

I was still fixated in TOH, already had it as my favorite shows, but my blorbo was Hunter (though Luz was getting there). Still, Hollow Mind managed to double my love for the show. Which was inevitable because, come on. My two favorites had the best episode ever and I’ve been a sucker for angst since I was like eight. I was also feeling vindicated bc I hated fanon Philip. It was an insanely good episode

I didn’t really care for the collector when Hollow Mind first aired, because I too immediately made the Bill Cypher connection. Which, fair enough past me, HM didn’t really present them as anything but evil. Same with Edge of the world. I cared more for exploring other’s characters feelings with him as a plot device which, *looks at pfp* A Lot Has Changed.

We get to the next episode they appear in, one that made me 10 times more mentally ill. O Titan where art thou. It’s then we get the 1st glimpse at The Collector’s loneliness + suffering over their imprisonment and their screams gave me chills dude. I was like “oh this show is really gonna explore the solitary situation as the horrifying thing it is huh D: still evil but I feel bad for him at least mercy kill him pls”

After that, then came Clouds On The Horizon, which finally made me put two and two together that Belos was going to betray the collector (in my defense I was in the fallen Angel theory grind). Their interactions were gold and then the fucking monologue collector has when king listens is EVEYRHTING my fav scene fr fr!!!!! So when that episode ends im like. “OKAY. OKAY. Not only was he on fantasy solitary and then met a puritan, the puritan has also been manipulating them for like 400 years, even now where he can free them but chooses not to until the DoU so now it’s crashing down of them. Buuuut just because they’re a victim of belos too doesn’t mean he’s not evil too. I love them so so so much, they can give some great commentary on trauma.”

At that point I had already reached a high blorbo-like mental illness status. I didn’t even post much abt the lumity kiss and the Luz & Hunter sibling grind, i focused more on those insane two minutes of the collector 😭. Then Dana Terrace thought that I was not focusing on them enough, because she drops King’s “crazy insane episode” Tide.

Not gonna lie… I had to wait at least 2 days for my analysis brain to turn back on, bc every time I saw their physical design my mind went “omg a baby yayayayayayayy” 😭 Srsly the ep gave me a whole different perspective: “lonely neurodivergent kid with god powers who, while is said to be the Grand Huntsman, doesn’t even have anything against titans as species. They play destructive, chaotic games because he doesn’t understand morals. And that’s dangerous, but it also opens a path to redemption. Not only that, they (almost) killed off Belos!!! They’d be on my top list for that regardless!!!!”

So yeah I’m. Not fixated on toh the show, but literally just the Collector now. Oh how the turn tables

*after a few times of continuous tickles, the feeling (and the liking for it) it will grow on him

*he prefers to wait for other people to tickle him cuz he gets really embarrassed to ask for them. But sometimes he'll subtly ask for them. Your gonna have to be pretty good at taking his hints

Seeing the blood on your hand, Spencer instinctively reached out to grab your wrist gently. You snatched your hand back, bringing yourself up to your feet, wobbling. You grabbed your bag, wrapping your hand in your scarf that you had managed to take off in the cool October night.“Ivy,” he said the moniker one more time and you felt your insides reel once more.

‘I’m a liar, Dr. Reid, I wish you knew,’ you thought to yourself, stumbling to search for your keys under the warm glow of the moon.

“I have to go. Thank you for dinner,” you contended, making your way out of the side gate. Spencer watched in confusion as you made your way out quickly. He figured he ought to chose his battles, not wanting to startle you by following after you.

Once you were safe inside your car, you sat in the driver’s seat, hands gripping onto the steering wheel for dear life. You felt a sharp combination of embarrassment and frustration. You wanted the flit of light that came from the possibility of new love. But instead, the one before had taken everything from you. Even now, all these miles and a new name away, he was pulling you away from those little flickers of brilliance and back into the darkness of yourself.

2 years earlier.

“Maddox,” Spencer whispered, feeling his heavy eyelids open just slightly. He was disoriented, noticing that the once right-side-up roadway was now upside down instead. The loud blaring of the horn was constant. It sent a piercing sound into Spencer’s ears and head, which caused him to wince. “Maddox.”

Spencer tried to turn, but he couldn’t move. Something had him pinned in the driver’s seat. He looked into the review mirror, which by grace alone wasn’t entirely broken. Maddox was slumped in his car seat, blood trickling down onto his Toy Story tee shirt. Spencer let out a weak gasp, trying again with no avail to move.

Spencer noticed how cold it was. It had been snowing all night, and Spencer wasn’t sure how long they had been where they are now. The snow had fallen through the shattered glass, tiny flakes gathering anywhere they could.

Using all of his strength, he turned his head to his wife. Her eyes were half shut, a trickle of crimson come from her mouth.

“Baby,” Spencer whispered. “Are you alright?”

She began to speak, but began to sputter, her lungs sounding flooded. Her hand curled and uncurled, and Spencer could barely reach it. He was able to hold onto her fingertips with his. They felt ice-cold like she was already three steps into Eternity. Spencer knew that type of frigid touch. He had come in content with it a million times, and the person on the other end was never living.

“D-don’t talk, baby. Okay? The ambulance is coming. Do you hear them? We’re going to be okay.”

Spencer could hear the medics somewhere far off in the distance. The repeated echo of the sirens sounded like a band of angels to him. Spencer Reid admittedly didn’t believe in the Judeo-Christian God. He wasn’t sure what he gave credence to, in fact. But at that moment, inverted in the shattered glass, surrounded by the labored breathing of his dying wife...he prayed.

Spencer walked into the Bureau, adjusting the brown satchel on his shoulder. His brow looked furrowed as he sipped from his paper coffee cup. He couldn’t stop thinking about the way you left, trying to profile what exactly had gone wrong between the Merlot and you rushing out of his backyard.

“Penny for your thoughts?,” Emily piqued as Spencer sat down, tossing his bag onto his desk. Spencer let out an exasperating sigh, taking another drink of his coffee.

“Just trying to figure someone out.”

“Oh, oh, oh. Is this a lady someone?,” Derek queried, wiggling his eyebrows. He crossed his arms over his chest, leaning onto Spencer’s desk with a sparkling grin.

“Maybe.”

Spencer felt himself smiling despite his best efforts. Emily opened her mouth in surprise, giving Derek a playful shove.

“I told you he would get back out there, Morgan!”

Spencer smiled. “Yeah, she’s sweet. I just...don’t know if I’m ready yet.”

That morning, Spencer had put on his wedding band. He still did it when he was scared, or nervous, or needing to feel close to her. He would feel the cool metal atop his finger and feel less alone. For a brief moment when the metallic touched his skin, he could pretend she was still here.

Derek gave Spencer’s shoulder a supportive squeeze.

“I hope you know me and Prentiss are just messing with you. We care about you, kid. We know these past two years have been hell for you. Just want you to be happy.”

“Yeah…I appreciate that. I just…,” Spencer paused, bringing his hands up as he spoke, as was so akin to him. His lip curled into the smallest smile. “Seeing this girl interact with Maddox. She...loves him for him..already?”

“Maddox is a great kid, Reid.”

“I know. I just don’t want her to find out---”

Spencer’s sentence was cut off by Hotch appeared, letting everyone know they had a case and to meet for Round Table. Spencer quickly shot a text to Maddox’s home health nurse, letting her know he’d need coverage for a few days.

You sat in the front of your classroom, your eyes scanning from the test in front of you to the answer key. The students were working on a Social Studies project in small groups. Their task was to read a short story about colonial times and fill out a short worksheet. If they finished early they were permitted to color, which most of the children thoroughly enjoyed.

“Maddox can’t use crayons,” you heard a small voice snicker. You raised your eyebrow, hoping it wasn’t harmful, and rather just an observation.

You heard another child sling a slur at Maddox, who was sitting quietly with his aide, trying to ignore them. But as you looked up, you saw Maddox’s tiny bottom lip begin to wobble. One of the children picked up a crayon and threw it at Maddox, hitting him in the shoulder.

“He can’t even feel that! My dad said that’s why he’s in a wheelchair,” the bully jeered again, high-fiving his friend.

You stood up with a loud squeak of your chair against the linoleum floor.

“You two. Principals office. Now.”

The rest of the class erupted in a chorus of childish ‘ooo’s. You clapped your hands together - your universal signal to quiet down.

“I did not ask for comments from the audience,” you scolded. The children settled down, going back to their work, whispering amongst one another.

“Maddox, come talk to me in the hallway,” you offered. Tears were rolling down Maddox’s cheeks. His aide reached over with a tissue to wipe them, but he turned his face away, one of the only ways he could physically set a boundary.

Maddox’s aide helped him into the hallway and then left the two of you alone. You sat down on one of the small, metal benches in the hallway. At this angle, you were about Maddox’s height. He was blubbering, trying to take deep breaths as more tears came. You pulled a small, clean, cloth handkerchief from your pocket. He let you dab his cheeks, giving him a gentle click of the tongue.

“Buddy, do you want to talk about it?”

“T-they’re so m..m..mean to me,” he whimpered, closing his eyes as more tears fell. “And, and, and I can’t play with them even, that’s why. I can’t do anything!”

You nodded empathetically, gently catching more of Maddox’s tears.

“I hate school! My daddy wants me to like school. It’s all he talks about. I hate him!”

“Maddox,” you softly redirected. “That’s not very nice. You don’t hate your dad.”

Maddox looked a deep breath. You smiled, knowing Spencer must have taught him to do that when he was upset.

“You’re right. But I’m sad, and I wanna go home.”

You sighed, reaching up to blot the little bit of redness still present on Maddox’s cheeks. You adjusted his glasses, moving some of his curly brown hair from underneath the metal.

“Just a few more hours, okay? We have library at the end of the day.”

Maddox’s face lit up, his apple cheeks glowing beneath the rims of his glasses. “Library!”

“Yes, and just for this week, you can take home two books.”

Spencer felt distracted the entire flight to Vermont. He knew he was going to be far away for a while, and that Maddox wouldn’t know until he got out of school for the day. The agent detested when he had to leave without Maddox knowing in advance, but it was usually impossible given the nature of things. Thankfully, Reid had a good setup of support through healthcare and respite so Maddox never went without someone to care for him.

Then, there was you. He couldn’t stop thinking about your reaction. He had seen it before in abuse victims. The way you flinched when he moved too fast, the apologizing like your life depended on it, even the way you looked at him with pleading eyes, desperate to avoid a blow. He bridged his fingers together, thinking to himself for a moment.

With that, he stood up, making his way to the back of the plane. He unlocked his phone while he chewed his fingernail with his free hand. Before he knew it, he was calling Garcia.

“Penelope. Hey, I need a favor. A personal one. If you could keep it between us, that would be great.”

“Anything for you, my precious string bean.”

Spencer laughed. “I need you to get all the information you can on someone. Ivy Porter.”

“Ivy Porter. That’s like a movie star name. What did she do?”

“Um..nothing, I don’t think. Just call me when you’ve got something, and email me everything you find.”

“You got it. Every in and out of Ms. Ivy Porter coming to you soon. Be safe. Talk soon.”

With that, Penelope clicked off of the call. Spencer sat back down, anxiously waiting for whatever information Penelope could find about you.

Alright, take two.

I've already typed this entire thing out once, so this is likely going to be a lot more lazy than anything else I will ever post, so :).

Hamilton wished for a war when he was like a baby. So if you know Hamilton, you know that one line where Hamilton says "As a kid of the Carribean, I wished for a war, I knew that I was poor, I knew it was the only way to rISE UP-" in Right Hand Man. Well, that line is based off of a letter Hamilton sent to his childhood bestie, Edward Stevens: "...Ned, my ambition is [so] prevalent that I... would willingly risk my life, tho' not my character, to exalt my station... I'm no philosopher, you see, and may be jus[t]ly said to build castles in the air... I shall conclude by saying I wish there was a war. Alex. Hamilton." Okay, dude, calm down, you're like two years old. I think he was actually like 14-16, but for dramatic purposes we'll say he was an actual infant (do I sound like Chernow?). But I hate how much this letter foreshadows. It's like he jinxed himself, its almost embarrassing.

Hamilton ran a business at 14. Now if you've ever been fourteen and you were like "i think i feel like running a business" literally shut up no one asked. I think this is impressive. When Hamilton was at least 14, the guys the owned Beekman and Cruger (it had a different name by this time but this one sounds cooler) just dipped and left Hamilton in charge. This was actually a pretty good decision, since Hamilton managed it well. There was also this one time where Hamilton told a whole captain of a ship who didn't perform up to standard, "Reflect continually on the unfortunate voyage you have just made and endeavor to make up for the considerable loss therefrom accruing to your owners." This man was so arrogant I wish I had his confidence. Yeah that was cool ig, but if I met teenage-Hamilton, I'd literally hate him.

Hamilton saved the president of his college. Ever the dramatic, Hamilton had a thing for suppressing mobs (though he was pretty much never successful). There was this one time at King's College where a mob formed to "talk" with the president of the university, Dr. Myles Cooper (by "talk" i mean make him into a tory bird). And, according to Who Was Alexander Hamilton? (this book gives me so much joy), "Alexander vowed to protect him [aww]... He stood up to the crowd, telling them that violence would only hurt their cause. He couldn't stop the crowd, but he delayed them long enough for Dr. Myles Cooper to escape in his nightgown," (Pollack and Belviso 27-29). This is a really sweet description of it, but Hamilton was probably calling the mob a bunch of insults and stuff, judging by how he later handled riots. Also, Cooper thought Hamilton was rallying the mob, so he was a complete jerk to Hamilton, but rightfully. Everyone, bully Hamilton. He's short and dead like an idiot.

Hamilton was really cool on the battlefield, don't @ me. Now, despite being a clumsy little gremlin and an absolute dork, Hamilton was a pretty good leader, and I guess veterans deserve to be recognized for their victories or whatever. At the battle of Princeton, one of my favorites, Hamilton had very big, cool guns, and did some cool stuff. When the Americans were building their fortifications, two British fortifications were in the way. So rude. Consequently, Washington sent The Gay Trio, Lafayette, Laurens, and Hamilton, to uh, silence them. Hamilton pulled off a successful sneak attack, and won the battle swiftly, leading to the American victory in the battle of Yorktown, and therefore the war. "...Colonel Hamilton['s] well known talents and gallantry were on this occasion most conspicuous and serviceable. Our obligations to him, to Colonel Gimat [stan], to Colonel Laurens, and to each and all the officers are above expression..." -Major General Marquis de Lafayette. Lafayette is so nice I would marry him if he was alive and single and legal and not old as hell. Like omg he gave credit to everyone but himself that's so nice I'm such a simp for Lafayette. Anyway, Hamilton was cool too ig.

Hamilton caused the evacuation of Philadelphia like an iDIOT. So, after Brandywine (British victory), Washington sent Hamilton on a foraging mission in Vally Forge to get flour, horseshoes, and tomahawks (not quite as exciting as Yorktown). Well, our clumsy ginger rat got caught, and wrote to the president of Congress, John Hancock, "If Congress have not yet left Philadelphia, they ought to do it immediately without fail, for the enemy have the means of throwing a party [party rockers in the house tonight] this night into the city. I have just now crossed the valley-ford [Valley Forge], in doing which a party of the enemy came down & fired upon us."

Surprise, this turned out not to be the entire goddamn British army, it was just a few scouts sooo... let's just say Philadelphia wasn't happy. "Our Removal from Philad. Was owning to information that General Howe was crossing Schuylkill [River]... However tho' this Intelligence was from one of the General's family (Alexander Hamilton) it was not well founded & we wish we had not left Philad.," -James Duane. Yeeeaaahhh, that's awkward. Not the best way to get your name known in the capital, I must say.

Hamilton was possibly bisexual, and this is hardcore because I say so. Now, I'll add more quotes to this later, but basically heres my interpretation of the historical evidence and whatnot. Basically, Hamilton was a really closed off, cynical guy, since like everyone he ever loved died or left him pretty much, and he wasn't really the type to make and keep close friends; "...how little dependence is to be placed on treaties, which have no other sanction than the obligations of good faith, and which oppose general considerations of peace and justice to the impulse of any immediate interest or passion," (Federalist 64); It is a known fact in human nature, that its affections are commonly weak in proportion to the distance or diffusiveness of the object," (Federalist 73). Um, Mr. Hamilton? You're projecting your trauma on the government again.

Also, despite working with him for like twenty years, Hamilton really never got close to Washington, like at all. He even said to Laurens, "I have no friendship for him and have professed none," in regards to Washington, which is kind of mean. But he ALSO told Laurens:

"Cold in my professions, warm in my friendships, I wish, my dear Laurens, it m[ight] be in my power by action rather than words [to] convince you that I love you. I shall only tell you that till you bade us adieu, I hardly knew the value you had taught my heart to set upon you. Indeed, my friend, it was not well done. You know the opinion I entertain of mankind and how much it is my desire to preserve myself free from particular attachments and to keep my happiness independent of the caprice of others. You s[hould] not have taken advantage of my sensibility to ste[al] into my affections without my consent."

*mocking Hamilton* its YOUR fault that i love you and it was RUDE that you FORCED me to love you how DARE you you SUCK i love you uwu.

Also, at the top of that letter, someone mysterious (probably Hamilton's son) wrote, "I must not publish the whole of this," and Massey still thinks Hamilton was straight.

But yeah, that's about it. I had originally written more at the beginning, but I unfortunately lost the original draft, so I'll just settle for this. ok so its been like literally over a month (;_;) and i started to be like at this point would it just be annoying? BUT i figured it was worth stopping in to say camp here and there is SO fucking good im so hyped for season two i went and joined the mayfield & belov patreon (the sydney and jedidah character notes there? WHEW LETS GO BABY) its just ljterally difficult to overexaggerate how much i finished all but like the last couple episodes in one shift and was like wow yeah this is it all in please! i never want to lose track of these artists

anyway i think im most excited wrt season 2 specifically with the like.. near unavoidable fact that The Thing that made the elephant man, like, bad/ a seperately antagonistic force, the ability to take away sydneys will and control over himself and his life has kiiiinda been happening all along, BUT perpetrated by jedidah. not to mention through what is essentially necromancy! the thing that isnt real and would be hollow and horrible if it was! good GOD what an incredible setup payoff and im so so excited for that undoubtely tense future conversation. anyway thats the direction i assume is starting at/around the end there with sydneys defense of elijah, going just deeper and deeper into a kinda undeniable compare/contrast between elijah and jedidah until.. i dont even know but im so ready to see where it does go.

this is already way longer than a stop in but i love love love sydney so much, and its so nice to see trauma written and portrayed by someone who actually knows and cares what they are doing because without getting too personal i felt REALLY deeply for sydney and saw a lot of myself in his attitude and mannerisms and then we kinda get into his past and well. yeah OH MY GOD I LOVED THE DREAM SEQUENCES and the totally not a memory "dream" sequences and sydney being disabled and it just kinda being something that is true like being disabled yknow Is instead of weirdly or near-fetishistically portrayed my god i just have a whole lot of praise for mayfield & belov huh.

i havent showered ANY praise on jedidah woops so sorry king i like him a lot too and actually saw myself getting more and more attached as the story progressed and ill be interested to even watch myself and see if my once dead-set allegiance to sydney is swapped in season 2 👀 the playing field certainly leveled far far more than i thought it would and his writing is just GOD so GOOD i never could get myself to actually be against him even in the hardest times all i ever really wanted to do was like tug on his sleeve until he fuckin TALKED TO SYDNEY STOP TRYING TO GET RID OF SWEET THINGS U SAY WHEN HES NOT AROUNDDD UR KILLING ME DUDE though of course the pushing away is reasonable and intentioned and its just what makes the drama SO GOOD we love 3 dimensional characters what a treat

In the light of recent discussions, are there any wangxian tags you immediately save or skip? For me my faves are hurt!WWX, protective!, jealous! or possessive!LWJ, misunderstandings, slow burn, arranged marriage; and I typically don't click on non-canon wangxian dynamics, the 13 years (too dehydrating 😢) and...time-travels (unless they're cracks or heavily recommended), because I get too analytical about parallels, it hurts my head. But usually give LWJ's POV and I'm in :D What about others?

Some of my favorite tags/tropes are time travel, animal transformation/shapeshifting, genderswap (meaning suddenly-becoming-the-opposite-gender rather than always-been-), bodyswap, sharing a mind/body, telepathy/accidental bonding, whump WITH h/c, curses (like proximity curses, or involuntary invisibility - there's never enough of that one!, genderswap, etc.), muteness or any other loss of sense, de-aging/age regression, mates, possessiveness, autistic-coded character (my own house is full of them so I relate), fake/pretend relationship, trauma, first time, D/s (if I'm in a horny mood 😊), fuck or die, sex pollen, one character as a ghost, angst, protective/white knight where one character is in terrible need of rescue and the other just goes full Harlequin hero (I cut my teeth on Harlequins, okay?), touch-starved, Sentinel/guide, Explicit (like, yes, put some sauce on my fic!), a/b/o, accidental baby acquisition (the fact that this tag and trope exists I find hilarious), captives together, huddling for warmth, ...

Tags I generally avoid: anything that is character/others, infidelity, major character death (which is usually meaningless in this fandom, since it's canon and reversible), ambiguous/unhappy ending
