Okay overall, this draft is actually in a great place (though I'm getting into the chapters that need more edits so we'll see how I feel about it in another 80 pages) but I do sometimes laugh at the shit I flag for changes. I had to make a note to alter how I introduce a couple of pieces of information because I was sitting there like, I don't actually think this character would know this in this manner, it's just the most convenient way for it to be explained. But to change it I'd have to rewrite a whole page, and maybe four readers would notice that this is purely expository, and is that really worth it?

But unfortunately, I am one of those readers. So I gotta change it.

TFA Megatron being pregnant and utterly terrifying. I could see him acting like how he did after his resurrection. So cold.

Megatron escapes when they try to bring him to Cybertron. Hopefully, he manages to free the rest of the cons.

Then, eventually, the rumours reach Cybertron, and upon learning that Megatron appears to be carrying, the most common response is "oh frag." Because who knows what he'll consider a threat, carrier coding screaming at him to destroy to protect his sparkling?

Shit's got a chance of getting fragged up and it can get fragged up fast, especially since tfa Megatron doesn't frag around.

I'm gonna exactly say the other cons were freed, because it'd be so cool to see how everyone interacts in general, interactions between the tfa cons are fun.

It'd be fun to see this side of tfa Megatron because internally we're suggesting his anxiety is through the roof, and this translates into some seriously ruthless decisions. I mean it also means there won't be any unnecessary risks and they'll be playing the resources game tight to their chests.

look i don’t have too strong of an opinion either way but i think purely good miq would be just as boring as evil manipulator miq, quite frankly.

my ideal miq is a guy who wants so bad to be grown up in the same way all us gifted kids did bc we were always ‘so smart and mature!!’ but nobody has ever actually treated him like an adult so he’s actually completely unequipped to deal with unfair life shit in a way that doesn’t involve having at least one messy, bratty tantrum. not evil, just doesn’t have empathy, the same way a 6 year old doesn’t. doesn’t understand why the world can’t Be Fixed by some semi-automatic process of logic.
