Blues time.

I didnt want it to get this far, but Ive always liked Furina a lot, then 4.2 happened with all the drama and betrayals and guilt, and then I saw Neuvilette smile and it was OVER.

Suffice to say, these two are stuck in my head permanently.

I honestly like any interpretation of their relationship, but I just found I have more fun coming up with more ship-y situations for them. (also like, small and feisty + tall and cool, by now you should know my preferences)

Anyways, bit of context for the Melusine one: in contrast to most Fontainians, the Melusines have been with Neuvilette and Furina for decades, so while they answer to Neuvi, Id think Furina still is a soft spot for them.

(And Neuvi seeing his ex-Archon he rly wants to reconnect with get along so well with his daughters, well, man has to decipher that emotions first).

You were sitting at one of the tables reading a book you’d recently started outside Neuvillette’s office as you waited for him to finish his work when one of the Meluisines approached you and tentatively poked your shoulder. “Excuse me, miss. Are you perchance Name?” An adorable Melusine with white and pale indigo fur and vibrant pink eyes looked up at you excitedly. You put down the book and nervously smiled at her, a bit curious as to how she knew your name but you were aware of how your lover was basically a father to all the Melusines. She smiled happily and clapped her hands together, offering her hand for you to shake.

“Hi! My name is Liath! I usually patrol outside of Palais Mermonia but I’m not working right now. I noticed you sitting here and you looked like how Sedene described you.” Liath’s little wings fluttered happily and you could tell she was the nervousness that was in her before was completely gone as you shook her hand. A look of panic on her face as she put both hands to her cheeks and quietly made a noise of distress. “Ah! Where are my manners? It’s nice to finally meet you.” Laughing, you shook your head and calmed her down.

“It’s alright. No worries. It’s nice to meet you as well.” Liath nodded with a bright smile and looked apprehensive before rushing in to hug you. Shocking you at first but quickly warming up to it as the action of affection felt nice and she was quite nice. A growl from her stomach interrupts you both and she pulls back with a light blush on her cheeks, smiling sheepishly and rubbing the back of her head. “Guess I should eat something before I go home.”

You quietly chuckled and waved your hand, not finding it at all embarrassing. “You should probably eat if your stomach is telling you’re hungry. It was nice to meet you, Laith.” Laith smiled and nodded before bowing, waving to you as she skipped out and called out to you one last time. “Bye, mama!” Heading out the door before you could react and mentally stalling for a couple of seconds. She- she just called you her mother. What?!
