Arthur: Are you planning to take me out to dinner?

Arthur: Because you’re trying to fuck me, Merlin! What’s your damn problem? What kind of idiot declares himself a sorcerer in front of the damn king! *smacks Merlin on the head*

The fact that Merlin was implying that he will not abandon Arthur & Arthur knew Merlin meant him .

I have this idea for a Merlin fanfic which would be based on a Cinderella fairytale aka (Cinderella boy) were Merlin would have to turn into lady+dress up for some kind of Camelot's equivalent of a ball to prevent Arthur getting poisoned by some other evil lady (possibly a soceress/witch). I won't go into detail on how the poisoning would be done, I have a idea but It still needs improvement. Anyway Merlin leaves Arthur in a rush and never shows up again (might loose a shoe).

Arthur is totally head over heals for the girl and gets fixited on finding her, disregards his duties and asks everyone around about the lady. He's first totally frustrated and unfocused on anything else that her. Then when he looses hope in meeting her again he goes into a "grief stage" he's heartbroken and miserable and Merlin starts feeling kinda bad about it, tries to comfort him but Arthur only dismisses his efforts. He even starts to secretly writing poetry about it and Arthur is definitely not the kind of guy who writes poetry.

I have an idea for how he "discovers" it was Merlin. More so he finds out that Merlin has something to do with it and confronts him in a way that he is forced to confess it was him.

I had the idea of Arthur finding a necklace in his servant's room that she was wearing before...

Also it would be funny to have Arthur comparing, in his head, the lady to Merlin because he notices that they look similar and when he gives up on finding her he ask Merlin if he has a secret royal sister or other relative and he just burst out laughing his ass off at the idea itself and Arthur gets irritated that he isn't taking it seriously.

I want Arthur to be totally pissed and devastated after finding out

1) Merlin has magic.

2)The lady he fell for "doesn't exist" and it's just Merlin-what does it change?

3) Merlin was all this time pretending and lying about both of those things.

4) Arthur is more angry at him for playing with his heart and making him fell awful for weeks that the magic thing itself.

And then... There would be a lot of tension and drama.

I can't really do it now because I have to focus on making my portfolio + I never written any kind of story ever so it would probably be full of errors. + english is not my native language

But

The fact that Arthur believed so deeply that he wasn't just dreaming about Merlin's warning & that it didn't feel like a dream is beyond me . Because Arthur most of the times made fun of Merlin's warnings yet here he felt not only Merlin reached him but also Arthur immediately didn't question his warning . As if he knows if anyone wants to save his life it's Merlin therefore there's no questioning it . 😭

Concept: via Merlin’s magic or a blessing by one of the gods of the old religion, instead of dying after the fight in Ealdor, Will is turned into a merlin bird and becomes Merlin’s familiar. And suddenly Merlin’s best friend is now a protective sassy bird.

Eventually he comes to like / respect Arthur (probably after a magic reveal or life saving situation) but he’s still gives Arthur the occasional pec when he disagrees or just cause he wants.

Will the merlin takes to Gwaine like a fish to water, sometimes resting on his shoulder areas of Merlin’s especially if he’s mad at Merlin.

(I maintain that, if he lived, Will and Gwaine would be chaotic troublemaking besties. Also it was a bit of a crime that we only got him in this one episode. Let Merlin have friends that LIVE for gods sake)
