I feel like these new ones have so much less personality, putting Poor Mew Pudding in a skirt as if her entire character doesn't hinge on her being an acrobat and thus would want something that's easier to move in (also the pigtails on top of her little braids are kind of overkill). Mew Mint's practical buns that reflected her very practical way of being a Mew Mew made entirely unpractical with all the extra hair flowing down, and getting rid of the yellow pendants/dogtags and replacing them with generic magical girl crystal hearts, and replacing the fur-looking linings of the outfits with those spiky fabric things, all makes it feel like the reboot designers were far too focused on it being more 'looks like more modern magical girls' for easier marketing it took away everything that made the character models and by extension Tokyo Mew Mew's aesthetic unique.”

I wonder why kane feels sentiment for phule

I don't know either, but something tells me that there was more to Phule's initial creation than we know. Gazpaccio calls him a "tormented soul", which means he was likely around to see Kane create Phule and probably got to see his downfall firsthand, and it might be something that Kane feels sentiment for, deep down.
