The most disappointing thing about the 2012 tmnt crossover with 1987 turtles is that it doesn't feel like the writers took advantage of the silliness that both turtle-worlds had.

1987 turtles’ cartoon logic combined with the 2012 turtles’ tendency to have over-the-top anime reactions would so much fun to play with.

They could have given us a moment where 2012! Raph gets so mad that his head literally catches on fire while 1987! Michelangelo just nonchalantly pulls marshmellows out of nowhere and roasts them over the flames.

But they didn't. And that will always feel like a missed opportunity to me.

No one will understand how interesting I find rise raph and Mikey relationship is

Both Mikey and raph are fixers. Raph wants to fix all of his family's problems and make them feel safe and secure. While Mikey wants to fix any person he meets with any sorta of issue and will put anything and everything to fix it

So raph is taking a very physical (and somewhat emotional) burden to keep his family safe. He always puts himself infront of any danger to protect them. He makes sure they don't hurt themselves or get in any trouble. He wants to keep them safe and will hurt himself doing it and he has taken it as his sole responsibility.

Mikey similar takes on an emotional burden of his family. He is keeping everyone together. He is pushing them to get along. He is seeking them out to try and fix their problem. While it is to a much lesser extent than raph he is still subconsciously trying to fix his families emotional issues.

So like I feel like it would be really interesting to see these traits interact.

Like Raph notices something is up with Mikey and wants to try and fix it. But Mikey has picked up on the fact that raph is taking on weight or everything that is wrong in the family and does not want to add on to it with his issues. So than Mikey tries to FIX RAPH issues and raph, not trying to burden his youngest brother, ignores Mikey's attempts. And it just keeps creating this feedback loop until everything just explodes.

so fun fact, turtles (from the minimal research ive done) are lactose intolerant. Rats, also, are sometimes lactose intolerant.

Meaning, IN THEORY, the ninja turtles will be in pain any time they consume pizza due to the cheese

This series, the whole franchise rlly, has always been extremely dear to me, but I avoid posting art online out of my own anxiety. However, I showed these to a friend I managed to drag into rise fandom hell and they are practically holding me at gun point to post these lol. This is the most recent art I’ve drawn for the Rise boys <3

Perhaps I’ll post some other things I’ve worked on for this show, as well as other iterations, but we’ll see. Also, I apologize now, there is so much leosagi art in my folders I am NOT immune.

I feel like Raph would generally show his affection by touching, and mainly hugging. But as they grew older, they all would get more distant, to poor Raphie's dismay...

Therefore, craving affection and fearing being annoying to his bros, he'd get the plushies.

He's still sad tho...
