trying to find a way back home to you again ↪︎ or: in which taichi and mimi deal with the struggles of being far away from each other, wondering about each other, seeking each other and returning to each other. ( listen )

note: this fanmix is dedicated to @ex-machiina, my forever michi love, who had requested a fanmix about taichi and mimi on a roadtrip.

gradually i diverted from said theme (i’m so sorry about that) because after watching kizuna i was more inspired to turn it into an angsty semi-ldr as taichi would travel a lot for his diplomatic studies and mimi for her online retail to sample as much different products as possible. due to them travelling so much for their careers, it would complicate them trying to be together as they keep needing to separate ways after being together and as they are still unsure of what they feel and want, and even more unsure of what the other might feel and want. lastly to give it an extra international feel i added non-english songs to the playlist. i wrote down in which language the lyrics are.

cover-wise: yes, i recoloured mimi’s white shoes to match with her dress (taichi was better accessorized than her) and her stockings to remove them all together because that flashy pink colour is not pretty. but most importantly i love how the bg represents an airplane window.

extra: a big thank you to @aarreplaneetta for suggesting the song “the bones” and giving me a second breathe to finish this project (as i was about to give up; i have been working on this project since march...) and to @aeonsofgrace for listening to my ranting.

i have also decided to share this as an entry for the michi summer weekend @taichixmimi because i am rather proud of this fanmix and even though it’s not really an “an outdoor activity” in my eyes they are actively searching for each other outdoors. yeah, no shame.

Michi Summer Weekend - Indoors

I struggled with this piece since art block hit me a few days ago, so I spent so much time trying to sketch something decent out (to no avail). But with @zoetekohana fanmix and @aeonsofgrace's fanart and playlist, I decided to try doing the lineart to one of my sketches and give it basic coloring. The idea of this piece was Taichi and Mimi watching movies together when it's really hot during summer, since I can see them has huge movie fans.

"I did nothing. The problem has been solved in a different way." Claire raised her head and looked at him questioningly.

"As I said, her parents have a horse breeding farm near Berlin and she was an enthusiastic rider. But that did not save her from having a riding accident. A horse threw her off on a ride. Obviously, the animal had repelled her as much as the humans she met. She fell, as they say, so bad, she broke her neck." Claire looked at him wide-eyed. Then she shook her head slightly and muttered: "Pride comes before the fall." Jamie was silent. He pulled her back to him and she rested her head on his chest again. "And the block of shares?" Claire asked after a few moments. "We have reported our discovery to the tax office through a lawyer specializing in tax law. We were believed, we paid the taxes and everything was fine."

"But that was not the end of your conflict with Jenny, wasn't it?" "Oh no! If my sister has taken something into her head, then she does not rest until she has reached her goal." "Not a bad quality ..." "No. Not as long as you stay out of other people's lives." "What did she do then?"

We always wanted to tell each other the truth ... Wasn’t that so, Dr. Fraser?" He did not answer, but leaned down and kissed her forehead. "I kissed her once ..." "Only once?" "Yes. My goodness, I was a teenager! Didn’t you do that in your teenage years?" "No." Claire looked up and grinned at him. "No?" Jamie could not believe what he was hearing. But before he could start questioning her, Claire answered: "I kissed a boy for the first time before I was a teenager."

"Yes," she answered in amusement, "he was nine. That is a huge age difference if you're an eight-year-old girl!" Jamie let the air he had subconsciously hold in his lungs escape from his mouth. "The next one or to say it better, the first real kiss followed in my teenage years. I was 19 and had just met Frank ... " Before Jamie could say or ask, she went on: "But do not try to distract me, Dr. Fraser! This is not about me. So what about the granddaughter of that former cook?" Jamie took a deep breath, then sank back onto the sofa, pulling Claire with him. "Well, I kissed her someday. Then there was another thing.”

“Another thing?”

“One time during her summer vacation, when she visited her grandmother, she broke a porcelain vase that stood in our living room. She was very scared that she would be beaten for it, so I took the blame on me and also the beatings that my father gave me. That and the kiss was many years back, but she probably saw more in it. I do not know how or where Jenny met her again. In any case, my sister invited her to Potsdam on a weekend that I was there too. However, Jenny had not told me about her coming." Jamie reached for his teacup, but Claire held him back. "The tea is all," she said. Jamie started to get up.

"Then I'll cook some new." Claire got up too. "I come with you."

While Claire was pouring water from the water filter into the hot water kettle, Jamie opened the cupboard door behind which were the teas he had brought from Berlin. "What kind would you like?" "No. 964, Oranges Oolong. Except ... you want something different ..." "No. That's O.k." He handed her the glass of tea. While they first waited for the water to get hot and then for the tea to finish, they continued their conversation. "She ... this girl ... started to make a move on me at our first meeting. Already at lunch, she asked me if I still remember her and when I told her that I did not, she told me in detail how she would remember our first meeting. In the afternoon I took a walk over our meadows and through the forest. First I was accompanied by Ian, but then he was called by a coworker and had to go to one of the stables for some reason."

He took the pot and went out. Claire put out the light and followed him, Bismarck and Adso in tow. When they sat on the sofa again, the animals wanted to join them and stood in front of the table, expectantly. But Jamie sent them back to the dining room area with a single wave of his hand. "How did you react to this provocation?" "I went back to the house, told Jenny what had happened at the riverside and then I drove back to Berlin immediately." "And? Did the ... woman leave you alone?" "No, from the day I had a stalker. Whenever she could, she lurked in front of the law firm. She even followed me to the courts and participated as a spectator in those cases in which I was mandated." Claire shook her head and clasped her forehead with her right hand. "That ... that ... is incredible. This audacity." "Oh, it gets better. Or worse ... just as you want." The feelings she felt were very contradictory. Actually, she wanted to talk to him about more enjoyable things, but she knew how important the conversation was to them both. Claire reached for her cup and held it out to him. He poured her fresh tea. Then he also filled his cup. "At first I thought that with time she would get bored and forget me. He was silent for another moment and Claire went silent with him. "My sister had a key box in the house where all their keys hung. Also, a set of the keys to my house were kept in it. I'd given these keys to Jenny and Ian for emergencies and a key chain with my initials was on them. The box was accessible to all and so far we had never had to worry about anyone taking keys unauthorized." Once more, Jamie took a deep breath.

"We do not know how she did it, but somehow she stole the keys to my house. One weekend later I was with friends in Dresden. I left on Friday afternoon and returned on Sunday afternoon. When I got home, I had the strong impression that someone had been in the house during my absence. As far as my private belongings are concerned, I am always very precise. I hate it when I have to look for something and therefore waste time. So I make sure that everything is always in its place. I had the strong impression that someone had searched my things in the study and in the living room. Mrs. Schaller cleans the house weekly, but she would never leave things the way I found them that afternoon. She knows exactly how much I like my order and respects that. And when I picked up old Brumm at the Schallers one hour later, I asked Mrs. Schaller if she had been looking for anything. She denied and I had no reason not to believe her. Mrs. Schaller then told me that she had the impression that a light was burning in the house on Saturday night. But when her husband went over, he saw nothing suspicious. The whole story seemed strange to me. When I took a bag of milk from the fridge later in the evening, I noticed a small hole on the edge of the milk carton. It was barely visible and it only struck me because I gripped the bag tightly and milk spurted out of the tiny hole, even though I had not opened the bag yet! I then examined all the other foods and found the same small puncture points on yogurt, a box of orange juice and a cup of cream cheese. I had bought all these things just on Friday afternoon and I could say with certainty that these punctures had not been there at that time. When I realized that, I immediately called the police and told them that I suspected that someone had broken into my house. The police arrived shortly afterward. They looked at everything and the forensic technicians examined the places where I found disorder and the refrigerator. They also took the food with the punctures." As he spoke, Claire's grip on his hand had intensified. As he looked over at her, her face showed the whole horror this story had caused in her. "The next day, the police informed me that they found a cocktail of medicins in the foods that were suspicious. The dose was not life-threatening, but ... well, it could have caused serious health damage. The police heard the Schallers and me again. Of course, they also asked if I could imagine who would do this to me. I told them of some criminal cases in which I had made no friends and then mentioned that this ... person stalked me. The prosecutor, who was responsible for the case, had a sixth sense. He immediately requested a search warrant for the girl's home. The police found the keys to my apartment and the medicines ... A comparison of her fingertips with the ones the forensics had secured on my fridge, in the living room, and in the study, proved that it was she who had broken into my house."

Episode XIV: Let the Game Finally Begin?

Okay so update from last weeks personal ramblings CBS is safe for now though CW got the boot which sucks but hey at least I'm here for the duration of the summer to view 'the Tiffany network's' summer reality escapism

Love Island Update from out BB Alumni Winston was ousted in the last coupling which sucks if the rumors that Brett will be coming to the island are in fact true (though with only nine episodes who knows how many more twists will occur)

Speaking of twists who saw that the Unsinkable Cliff Hogg would not only won the Camp Comeback Battle Back but also the HOH ... NOT Me....and now Jack and Bella are up for the first REAL eviction of the season.... things are hopefully about to heat up...it only took 37 days....

After a brief recap we join the guests at the Veto meeting where Bella was put on the block...

If anyone was up against Jack on the block his best case siniaro is that he's up against Bella as Nick and Sam are her only 'friends' while Nick thinks Cliff made a dumb mistake putting Bella up and not a member of Six Shooters as after all it was them who blindsided Nick, Sam and Bella last week by voting Cliff out over Nicole...at least if he had to put Bella up it would of been by the use of Christie's power....

Bella tells herself each week she's never safe and she guesses this week it finally rang true...

Nick is upset at Cliff and that he didn't blindside Christie but in Cliff's mind if he didn't agree with Christie to put Bella up she would of used her power and Bella would of been up anyway and hey he has 'Christie's' word that he's safe the next two weeks...Nick also knows there is no way Bella is going to win the eviction and doesn't know what he'll do without her in the house (well....I mean if he gets out pre jury we won't have this issue)

Bella is crying and wants to stay for Nick...she deserves to be here and wants to fight

Michie is glad that Cliff kept their word with Christie and he tells him and Jack that he'd be into working with them to pick off the others he is a comp beast after all and nobody would suspect he was their silent partner

We finally get confirmation that while Kat and Holly didn't know one another personally pre Big Brother they were both in the pagent circut and have crossed paths in the past and we get a montage of them making a final two on the sly

Sam, Nick and Bella play pool and Nick gets hit i his balls with his pool balls

Cliff tells Bella that Jack was his target and but Bella up before Christie's power could and that if she can get 5 votes to make it a tie then he would vote Jack in a heartbeat

Bella is reminding the outliers that Jack is a comp beast and needs to be taken out now while he's on the block as here might not be another chance....she also needs to mend fences with Jessica and Nicole....Both girls think that while Bella did them dirty she has valid points that they definitely will take into consideration

Now we get the first family clip package of the season as we meet the Hogg's and during that montage we saw some clips from the Moon Landing 50th anniversary party they did over the weekend in the house

AND WE ARE LIVE.....but first the nominees get a final plea....

Bella wants you to consider who is a bigger threat Jack who has won almost everything vs her who hasn't won a thing yet and calls out that if Jack wins then Nick, Sam, Kat, Jess, and Cliff will loose a number cause Jack will be with his majority alliance...also if she stays she will still be a target which means the minority will be safe so vote whats best

Jack hates speeches...he's thankful to of met everyone...he's a team player and just wants to have fun...he respects the choices that are made as he knows it's best for the game

Nominees can't vote Cliff is a tie breaker

Christie votes to evict Bella Analyse votes to evict Bella Michie votes to evict Bella Nick votes to evict Jack

the vote so far is 3-1 favoring Bella to be out at the break

it's official Bella will be out but lets see how the others vote

By a vote of 8-2 Bella is evicted from the Big Brother House

since Camp Comeback is over we get an eviction interview as well as Goodbye messages.... I'm glad that Nicole accepted Bella's apology but Jack's message was just WOW....

We now get the start of this weeks HOH competition Cliff as outgoing HOH can't play in what is called Pose in Ivy in this competition the players are suspended in the air between two ropes the last person swinging will get HOH HOWEVER each player much draw a punishment chip with two players getting a special punishment....

Next Week on Sunday we will see this competition play out (well unless you watch in real time on the feeds) as well as nominations, Wednesday will be Veto and Thursday not only will we see a live eviction but America will be voting to send three houseguests on a field trip that could put someones game at risk

1) since Have Nots were announced on the episode I deducted a point per player (I will only count Have Nots going forward if they are mentioned on the CBS show)

2) I decided to give points to both sets of POV picks not just the redraw set (that benefited Brandon who got double points at Veto Draw on Sam this week)

3) I'm not deducting a point for Jessica in this tally for being the first to fall during HOH (I will however add it when I watch on Sunday as well as bonus punishment point deductions where applicable)

Wan High Weeping (Part 50)

Sorry for the delay all. It’s been wild. http://bellatrixobsessed1.tumblr.com/post/182721163856/boy-howdy-everyone On the plus side I used that time to type some chapters. I just didn’t have internet connection to post it with.

Zuko took a step back to appreciate his work. The forest green chip was fixed into the teacup next to one of a bright purple. It had been a pain to not only fit them all onto the tea cup but to get them to stay put. It was a feat that required him to heat each coin up until they were soft enough to bend. More than once he had earned himself a minor burn or two. By month ten, he had gotten pretty good at avoiding that. He set the teacup back on his shelf amid the other knick-knacks uncle had bought for him.

He hurried to dress himself. He could smell the sweet aroma of hot maple splashed with a touch of blueberry. He smiled to himself. She remembered.

Of course she remembered.

Blueberry waffles had been his favorite since he was a child.

It was a meal she had cooked for him on his first day of school until she left. “Good luck today.” His mother greeted as took his seat.

“You too.” He returned. Today was the day she’d be holding a signing for her second novel. “I’ll try to swing by if I have time after class.

“Don’t rush, dear.” Ursa replied. “I want you to earn your GED, if you miss my book signing you can always come to the movie premiere, like Azula is.”

“Azula can’t come to your signing either?”

“She has school until two, remember. The signing ends at three.”

“Right.” Zuko replied. “Well, my prep class ends at twelve so I should be able to make it. I’ll see you then, mom.”

She gave him a quick hug and with a text from Azula, he was on his way.

“Is your brother dressed?” Michi called from down the hall.

“He was.” Mai grumbled. She’d left him for about five minutes and he already had his socks and shirt off once more. “Tom, you’re a first grader now. First graders keep their clothes on.”

He looked up at her with big grey-brown eyes. “Not this first grader!”

“Yes, this first grader.” She forced the shirt back over his head. “You like this shirt, remember? It’s the one with the Brontosaurus.”

“It’s a Apatosaurus.” Tom-Tom corrected.

“Right. Apatosaurus.” Mai replied as she led him to the breakfast table. She poured him a bowl of cereal and a glass of milk. “Now, don’t spill it this time.”

“First graders don’t spill milk.” He said with Mai.

“Good.”

“I’m gonna get my whole sticker chart full soon.” Tom-Tom declared.

“I’m sure you will.” Mai replied as she fixed her own breakfast. She peered and Tom-Tom and quickly slipped up to her room to stuff the rest of her supplies into her backpack. “Azula is going to be here soon, mother.” She noted on her way back to the kitchen.

“Alright, let me know when she gets here.”

It was progress. Mai still felt as though she was doing most of the hard work when it came to Tom-Tom, but at least her mother was putting in some effort now. It would probably take a few more family sessions to make her understand why she needed to put some more effort into raising her son, but it was a start.

A text appeared on her phone and Mai called up to her mother. She turned to Tom-Tom. “Be good for mom, and maybe next time Azula, TyLee, and I go to the mall, I’ll get you a surprise.”

“Okie!” He exclaimed, throwing his hands up, nearly knocking his milk over in the process.

Mai sighed and headed outside. It was nice to see Azula’s car there again, there was a sense of comfort that came with it. A sense of normalcy. And a bigger sense of that in noticing TyLee in the passenger's seat. “Really, TyLee? One of these days you’re going to have to let me ride shotgun again…” her front seat odds didn’t look so good, with she and Azula living together. “And let me chose some good music.” She added while she was at it.

“How can you, hate this?” TyLee asked as she cranked it even louder.

“I will jump out of this car and walk.” Mai replied with an eye roll.

They parted ways where the hall split. Azula had a locker on the opposite side of the school and TyLee had the misfortune of getting a second floor locker. Her phone buzzed and she noticed a text from Zuko. She sighed to herself. One of these days she was going to have to talk to him.

She peered at her arm, the slashes on it were mostly healed, some turning to scars. She decided that it was time to let her relationship with Zuko do the same.

‘Tonight is going to be busy. Does the weekend sound good?’

Truth be told, he had plans with Hahn, but he figured that he could put those to the side. Hahn was pretty understanding about things like that.

He texted Mai back with a simple, ‘yes, it sounds great.’ And then he selects Azula’s number. He would tell Hahn about the change of plans in person. He types a small thing or two about how so far things were going pretty smoothly.

For the most part things had been going well for him. They had been since the week after the trial. The first week after the trial was hectic. They had been escorted to Ozai’s estate with a police entourage, so that Azula could gather the rest of her possessions that had been left there.

The man had been oozing with cruel things to say to all three of them as they made their way in and out of the house. Mostly his words fell on deaf ears, it was the ranting and ravings of a bitter soul. The sort of thing that wasn’t worth paying attention to.

The man had broke the terms of his restraining order several times, contacting he and Azula both and Ursa as well. Even Iroh wasn’t spared a nasty word or two. Eventually the messages grew less frequent, and Zuko was left to assume that Ozai was running out of money to blow on fines. The trial was a rather public matter and the outing of how he had led his son to heroine and his daughter to bulimia did hefty damage to his company. One by one, headlines came about various companies breaking their partnership with Ozai’s.

Headline, by headline, Zuko felt more at ease.

The man was losing his power.

He had lost his power when Zuko had made his escape.

He stuffed the remains of his lunch back into his lunch bag and hurried to finish the final half of his first day of prep class.

The rest of her day was quite a drag, save for Moo-Chee making a scene about how he was the dark one and he would have respect. Over the summer, the boy had upped his poser game. Taking it from simply leeching off of the goth scene to pretending to worship the devil. The boy was a constant source of entertainment. He was mostly harmless these days, save for the constant threat of secondhand embarrassment.

Only after she found Azula’s car in the parking lot, did she remember that the girl was staying later for volleyball practice. She made her way back inside. She recalled that TyLee was going for the poms team again. That left her to figure out how she wanted to spend her time. She considered simply going to the gym and watching Azula.

Instead she found herself wandering down the hallway in search of another club. Poetry didn’t sound too awful and they only met on Mondays. It would give her a distraction if she needed one but it wouldn’t take up enough time for her mother to pitch a fit.

Naturally when she stepped into the room, she spotted Moo-Chee. Perhaps she could make the boy a side project. Help shape the boy into less of a poser.

The club members welcomed her warmly and the instructor motioned for her to take a seat. “I am Macmu-Ling, welcome to the Five-Seven-Five society. Right now we are working on introductory poems.” She paused. “Write a little something about yourself in the form of a hiku, and then we will read aloud, what we have come up with.”

Mai nodded. She wasn’t a hiku type of person, but she was willing to give it a try.

Zuko helped Ursa take down what remained of her signing set up.

“Thank you for joining me today, Zuko. How about I treat you and Iroh to some tea and coffee?”

It sounded perfectly charming. “I’d love that.” He replied as he packed the last of the books away. He would wait a little longer to text Azula, if he remembered right, she was probably still in the middle of practice. But he was curious as to when she planned on stopping by next.

“You think that this book store is hiring?” Zuko asked.

“GED first.” Ursa said sternly with a dip of her head.

Zuko lifted his hands. “Just asking.”

“That’s the last of the boxes.” Iroh spoke. “Let’s brew some tea!”

“Would you like to invite Hahn, dear?”

“He’s already on his way.” Zuko hoped that this invitation would make up for cancelling their weekend plans.

Azula had dropped her off at home only a few hours ago. Apparently she had something to take care of before the three of them went to the movies. If she didn’t hurry, they’d end up having to watch the midnight show. In which case, Mai was fully prepared to suggest that they see a horror movie instead. Suddenly, she wanted Azula to take her sweet time. She hadn’t seen a good horror movie since last year. Of course she would be avoiding the body horror sub-genre. She was in the mood for ghosts and demons, a little something to give her insult ammo. She was going to need it if she was going to pursue a friendship with Moo-Chee.

She received a text from Azula, stating that she was on her way.

“I’m going out, mother.” She called.

“Would you mind taking Tom-Tom with you? Your dad and I have an important meeting tonight.”

Mai sighed, horror movies might be out of the question. “I guess I can, but next time…”

“Next time, I will bring him along.” Michi promised.

“Alright, Tom, c’mon.” She picked him up. “Do you like secrets?”

“Mmmhmm.”

“If you keep a secret for me, I’ll let you see a scary movie with my friends and I.”

Tom-Tom gasped. “A scary movie!?”

“Shhh. Not so loud. If you’re too loud you won’t get to go to the big boy movie.”

“I wanna go to the big boy movie.” Tom-Tom whispered.

Mai smirked. “Great. When mommy asks you what movie you went to see, tell her you saw the one with the dinosaurs.”

“Kay, Mai.” He smiled as she fastened his seatbelt.

She strapped herself in. “Tell me all about your first day of school, Tom.” She smiled softly to herself as her new partner in crime told her all about first grade.

It was nightfall by the time they reached the cafe. Azula had finally answered his text, she was planning on dropping by either this weekend or the next, stating that she would carpool with Mai. From the sound of it, Mai was doing much better.

It weighed heavily on him to hear that she had contemplated suicide. To think that he might have had a hand in it, though she insisted that it wasn’t his fault. He still felt obligated to make it up to her somehow.

He didn’t yet have an idea of how to do so, he supposed that he would have to just let things fall into place. That’s what Iroh had told him; just let things happen. So far it was a working method. His sessions with Jeong Jeong had left him with similar advice. He had to accept things for what they were.

So he would. He would accept whatever happened with Mai over the weekend. Just like he was accepting that his heroine abuse had happened. He ran his fingers over the small pockmarks, he no longer had a desire to rid himself of them.

A self-respecting man wouldn’t try to hide such a large and important part of his life.

And Zuko had decided that he was going to be a self-respecting man.

The sort that would show Ozai that he had completely lost.

The sort that would earn a GED and make something of his life.

Okay so whenever a teacher asks me to introduce myself at the start of the school year, my default interesting fact is “I have a dog” and every single year the teachers are super amazed that i have a pet dog and it’s absolutely hilarious bc everyone else is like “I’m not sharing any personal information with you guys”, and the teacher ends up interrogating me about my pet dog.

What’s one piece of advice to yourself a year ago? GIRL things are gonna be tough. Like really hecking tough. But it’s not worth it to hold grudges, there’s no point letting fear of what could happen stop you from doing things you want to do and you will survive and you will be stronger because of it. Don’t let what other people say about you get you down, yes, it sucks to hear people speculating about you and your private life, but they have no idea what’s actually going on, and they’re just curious . No one has anything against you. You are loved, and you are worthy, and you are strong. You got this.

what is a skill you wish you had? To play guitar!! Or to be able to sing!!

What’s your degree/favourite subject? Uhhh it was drama but i dropped that and the 2019 school year hasn’t started yet so.. Who knows?

What motivates you to study? The fact that I gotta do well and get good marks in order to get into a good uni course… and the fact that i just want to keep getting better,, and i don’t want to disappoint people and i also don’t want to do badly bc yikes its real competitive at my school so like lowkey fear of failure

What time do you do your best studying? Tbh it really depends, it’s either the morning not long after i wake up (esp if it’s holidays or the weekend), right after i get home from school, or like late at night if i get a burst of motivation (like sometimes i’ll end up studying from 10:30 to 1am which isn’t sustainable if i have to get up at 7 for school)

Best self care tip for exam season? Don’t spend your time around people who get really stressed out. It only makes you more stressed, and you don’t need that extra worry. Positive vibes only. Stay chill!

Do you listen to music when you study? Yeah. I just listen to music with no lyrics and I’ll use @studyquill’s playlist :DD

Where do you do your best studying? I do pretty much all my studying at home so.. home?? but i have this spot at school that i like to go to in the mornings when no one’s at school yet because it’s super quiet and i can get some quality work done there
