Spotify doesn't let you filter music by release year, so I organized all my liked songs into their own year end playlists. Take a journey through time with an archive of my liked songs though the 2000s. The music taste of a millennial teenager.

I love Iroh he's a top tier character but every time I've ever committed to making an S/I for him it ends up a bust and I never figured out why, he'd just sit on the backburn with a half baked Self Insert until I'd scrap the whole thing. He's been on and off the F/O list more than any other character.

Was it the dynamic? My plots? Was it not interesting enough, did I feel like a background character? Or was it TOO interesting and take away from Iroh pre-existing narrative? Am I weaved in enough? Are we believable if I was canon? Why isn't this working?

Upon rewatch I once again began my song and dance of find a plot I like and build into it, and I am once again hitting a wall. I decided to really sit down with this one, run through all my plots and drafts, run ever S/I at once and see why none of them are sticking.

That's how I finally I realized, it's Zuko. My wall is Zuko

Iroh loves Zuko more than he would ever love me, that's why none of my plots were working, because at some point it has to be about just Him and Zuko.

It's kinda interesting getting your heart broken by a fictional character...

#The realization happened mid conversation with Iroh in a scenario #And my brain just weaved it into the conversation #Man..... man dude...#I dunno Iroh was like an OG F/O and yeah he's been off the list for years now because it never worked but #That doesn't make this less hard #It is nice though. To have the answer finally.#And it's not one I want to fight around either. I really like Zuko I can't undervalue him #Iroh's story is about Zuko. That's the end of it.#To me anyway.#I dunno what this post is #Just personal ramblings of a broken heart I suppose #I'll get over it just fine. I like how my current S/I is turning out; Even if he doesn't have a Romantic F/O tied to him #Maybe I'll give Korra another shot after this. Who knows.

BTW, i actually have a sort of order of focus when it comes to my ocs,,, right now reassassination is the most important, and starsaints is currently being actively worked on. projects on the back-burner that are still being rotated in my mind are x-calibur, sinstring manor, unnamed guts girls band project, and magical girl ward... completely "dormant" oc projects that i probably won't return to till much later are planet☆pigtail, spectre city online, and metallic miracle. but i care all my ocs equally :]

#btw this list changes very frequently based on what im into !#really i might start waffling about ocs at any time #but reassass and starsaints are my main focuses that are being properly written #i really want to get reassass out within the next 3 years at least #ideally i'd finish writing every chapter by the end of the year and start releasing it in mid '25 #and with starsaints - probably 2027 like i kept saying i'd want it released then #but probably later #just think “within the decade” for those two lololol #but they WILL be real one day. i swear by jt #*it....

There really need to be more places where it's socially acceptable to wear big elaborate costumes that aren't a) huge pop culture conventions a minimum of 3 hours away from me, b) pop culture conventions that are less than 3 hours away from me but consist of five tables in a hotel conference room, or c) outside in the middle of August where your costume has to be booty shorts and a tank top or you'll die of heatstroke

hey guys. wasnt able to be on tumblr because ivr been busy building this he-man castle grayskull mega construct (knock off lego) set for the past 36 hours. doesnt it look awesome

YOU CAN NOT STOP AFTER EACH BAG LIKE WITH LEGO YOU EITHER STOP IN THE MIDDLE FOR NO REASON OR YOU GO UNTIL YOU DIE #(my route)#Like. why #why would you do that #secondly #idk. it was just annoying #it looks awesome from the outside the inside is mid but i like the characters #my mom got it for me like. 2 years ago. Um #Tbf she got it for ME because SHE likes he man (i never liked he man cause every road trip she would play the same he man christmas special #dvd in our dvd player for like hours over and over)#i was a she ra girly. And now im a reboot she ra girly #<- she hates the she ra reboot but thats fiar bc she grew up with the og… she doesnt know true #This is number 2 on my list for worst building experience lego set idc that its not lego #number 1 is the big millenium falcon #number 3 is the titanic #this one is worse than the titanic and i literally worked on that bitch for 6 and a half days straight #That was more enjoyable than this.

some of you guys weren't raised on heroes (2005) and it shows

#you're gonna denounce the show forever just because it started to suck???? me age 11 (biggest heroes stan alive) could never #it's making me so sad to see so many people who were so active in the tua fandom decide to leave it completely #idk there's a place in almost all my favorite shows i can point to where it all went wrong #(heroes s2. chuck s4. stranger things s3. supernatural s6 but the final death knell was s9 idk that one's complicated.)#(malcolm in the middle kind of sucked after s4. teen wolf went downhill after s3.)#(the witcher and twd had such consistently mid seasons i stopped watching. only the first season of the flash was worth it.)#doesn't mean i was any less obsessed with them or that i don't still look back on them fondly #why should i leave tua in the dust just bc i can add 'tua s3' to that list? hell it's already been on there for two years #like the obsession isn't nearly as strong as before but i still look back on the show and my experience with it fondly!#i know i keep saying it but i cannot begin to fully express how deep i was in with tua and how much of an impact it had on me #no one is obligated to stay or pretend to be happy but like yeah it makes me sad to see people turn their backs on it #we had so much fun for a while! that's what i want to keep celebrating and keep alive even if it's in a background casual way #the parts that we all loved and came together over were great!#i know there's not much of a reason to come back together again or to feel inspired #but like. it's one thing to be upset and uninspired. it kind of feels like another to decide to leave the fandom forever :(#no disrespect to anyone bc i do understand wanting to wash your hands of the whole thing. i just wish it didn't go down like this :(#anyways. i love you guys and i miss being a five stan when it was easy a little bit rn <3

the only thing that's keeping me from unleashing all 90 nonsensical thought trains in my brain about re1999 lore is the fact that im ruled by this very strict mindset of "if youre gonna do something, do it properly/thoroughly/organized or don't do it at all" which means i get to filter all this nonsense for my writing blog so its neat and cohesive

but it also means that until those posts are finished, im just gonna be seething and violently vibrating bc the information is just in my brain waiting to be released into the wild

#SCREAMS anyway the thoughts are the following #the fact that vertin's spinning wheel which she uses to summon arcanists trascends time and space #because if we're going by times of exhibition. pavia shouldve been the first one to be saved (1990's) but canonically it was regulus #which explains why pavia talks about his mother as if she were alive. because vertin PULLS people regardless of time space continuum #that (and a whole different argument) explains that exhibition dates arent dates of births. theyre the year/era they were taken from #because both matilda and pavia are listed as exhibited in the 1990's #theres 11 years of difference between them. if exhibition date = DOB then it would be impossible #aside from the fact that pavia wouldve had to live up to 2015 AT A MINIMUM to be 25 IF he was born in exactly 1990 #but theres characters who have more than one exhibition dates. such as satsuki or regulus (only in global iirc?)#so perhaps its the time they were acknowledged as arcanists by whatever government was established at the time?#regulus makes sense since “mid 20th century” encompasses 1930-1960. which correlate to the prologue. 1st and 2nd chapters of the main story #satsukis is harder to explain. since the times listed are just 1910s and 1920s. but it perhaps relates to her story? since she is trying #very hard to leave her past life as a thief behind #people also complain about sweetheart being 17 because 'she doesnt look 17' and since shes based on marilyn monroe she 'must be older'#sweetheart was exhibited in the 1930's. marilyn monroe was born in 1926. more proof that sweetheart was 17 at the time she was summoned #AND that exhibition dates ARENT DOB
